This is a solid poke place, with a lot of options, good quality, and decent prices. You can build your own bowl, Chipotle-style, however, they have walled off the counter so you have to order on their paper menus, instead of choosing from the case. I've had the spicy Hawaiian twice now and it has been very enjoyable. This is mostly takeout place, with a few tables that don't seem to get used much. read more

I ordered a tuna and salmon bowl for delivery. This was the smallest, most selfish poke bowl I have ever had. I paid extra for additional meat and received about a total of 8 very small pieces of meat. Every scoop of everything other than the lettuce was scraggly at best. I literally just had a bowl of lettuce for $30! I was so disappointed that I simply cannot recommend this restaurant read more

So this is not the best poke place, but compared to Ono Poke in Cross Street Market and UMMC hospital poke, I think I prefer this place. It's quite a large space, but most of it is closed off due to COVID. You order at a counter by marking a paper menu. Fish is fresh and the bowl as a whole was very tasty. You have the ability to do half-half base and choose unlimited number of toppings. They have a lot of options for toppings, but I wish they had crab salad as an option. My biggest qualm with them is that I felt they did not give enough fish and toppings! I checked off a lot of toppings on the list, but the bowl was not filled to the top and the poke was not mixed so by the time I got to the bottom, it was just rice and veggies -- I recommend mixing it yourself since they don't. My friend got fewer toppings and her bowl was way underfilled. Other than the portion size problems, I was satisfied with their poke and will probably be back. Be sure to ask for a loyalty card - the 10th bowl you buy will be free! read more

I wanted to write this retire specially because most people take the time to write a negative compared to a positive one. Pokebowl fed hill will always get my business. Simply for the fact they actually care. Jing was super nice and offered to bring my order out to my as well as my order that I was picking up for DoorDash. She did this because I was parked in the bus lane and did t want me to get a ticket. This may not seem like a big deal but it's also not common so I appreciated it wanted to share a positive experience. On top of that the food is amazing. read more

Definitely not worth it. Overpriced for not so fresh fish! I spent $19 for an undersized bowl. I had read the reviews and figured this must be a decent place. Boy, was I wrong! The woman taking the order/serving was one of the rudest persons I've ever been served by. When I complained the spicy tuna tasted a little off, she accused me of trying to "cheat her". She said "you're not my only custome. I sell a lot of fish. No one complain. I'm not giving you a refund. Call the police!" Overall, a terrible experience. I truly felt Disregarded, dismissed and ignored as a customer. A very strange, odd and disappointing experience. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. zero stars read more

Today I visited this establishment for the first time and it appears that due to COVID19 the restaurant is practicing CDC guidelines and social distancing practices. Also for all appearances it appeared that this establishment used to have an pick your own assembly line structure at one point, but for now it is shutdown. The Classic Bowl that I got was fresh and delicious, my only complaint is when I have poke bowl I like taste and texture crunchy wontons provide and add to the poke bowl. I asked for some on my bowl and that exactly what I got s.o.m.e as in actually 4 small wonton strips. My suggestion to myself is watch as they make it or make sure to look at your carry out before leaving to make sure you get what you order and asked for, to insure it is exactly what you pay $14+ dollars for. That was my only minor but important for me to have given a top rating. But my bowl was delicious, less the crunch I was hoping and looking for. Congratulations read more

They are FINALLY OPEN! I had been waiting for some time now for them to open and last night I got my wish of trying Poke Bowl for the first time. If you don't live in Fed Hill, plan on taking some time to find parking. I lucked up but beau did not. I got there a little after 9 already feeling rush because I assumed they closed at 9:30 like the others but was presently surprised they left time for parking, they close at 10:00 pm. Awesome! Which meant we had time to park, select, and divulge. Their team was really nice and extremely informative! They answered all my q uestions and had patience for my indecisiveness. I took some pics as I waited for beau but realized I was so excited to try I didn't take any of my completed bowl which included ahi tuna, white sushi rice, classic ginger hawaiian sauce, sesame seeds, kale, kimchi, nori strips, seaweed salad, edamame beans, carrots, purple cabbage, cilantro, and sweet wasabi sauce on the side that didn't get used because my combo was scrumdittlyumptious! ;-) YASSSSSSS! read more

Looks like they altered the place post COVID so you enter and there is a window to order your food. It looks like you used to be able to line up along the glass bar to see all the ingredients but customers aren't allowed back anymore. We were greeted upon arrival and perused the menu. The person taking our order was patient and nice. Decided upon one of their pre-made bowls (Salmon Lover) for take out. You get a choice between white or brown rice. The ingredients were fresh and flavors in the bowl balanced really well. Parking is a pain though. read more

I ordered for the first time on DoorDash and was not disappointed. I live in Canton, so it did take a while to get to me. Also, when it arrived, the bowl was warm which kind of threw me off because I've never had a warm poke bowl--hence the 4 stars. However the flavor, ease of ordering, and cost were my deciding factors in this review. I am a HiLo poke stan, however they only offer delivery through Postmates (and DoorDash is much easier/cheaper with DashPass.) So I've been trying to find a poke place where I can recreate my favorite bowl AND get it delivered on the low low, and Poke Bowl Federal Hill did the job!!! I absolutely love the flat-rate, build your own bowl style of ordering, which allowed me to customize my bowl after the Hawaiian Classic that I love so much at HiLo. Bowls start at $14.25 and you choose a base, protein, and then up to 39 toppings (most of which are no extra charge!), and then your choice of finishing sauces. At many other poke bowl places, every topping costs extra which leads to ridiculously priced bowls. Also many other local poke places only offer mango, but I *NEED* pineapple on my bowls. So glad this place exists!!! My order was white rice, tuna, cucumber, cilantro, onion, scallion, edamame, jalapeño, pineapple, seaweed salad, furikake, tempura flakes, spicy mayo, and sweet soy sauce. You definitely need to dig in to mix up the bowl when it arrives because the sushi rice is packed tightly, but the flavor of this bowl was AMAZING! I do agree with previous reviews that they ~could~ do a better job giving bigger protein portions, however it wasn't exactly noticeable. There was definitely a decent amount. I was just happy to have been able to perfectly recreate my favorite flavor bowl! I will definitely be ordering from Poke Bowl Federal Hill next time I need my poke bowl delivery fix. read more

I literally just finished the Spicy Rainbow Bowl and the Shrimp Spring Roll. And they were both incredible! The poke bowl was a great mix of juicy and sweet fruit, A LOT of fresh tuna, salmon and shrimp in a light flavorful sauce over rice. This bowl was delightful and filling without being too heavy. The shrimp rolls were perfectly flaky and yummy! I also got a side of the spicy mayo which really complimented the rolls. I also drizzled some on the bowl. Honestly, the bowl didn't need it because it was perfect as-is, but the sauce was so damn good, I couldn't help myself. Also, I got it delivered and it came extremely quick! A total win all around!! read more

My go-to poke when I stay in Baltimore. Scads of topping options, and I've gotten hooked on the sweet egg! One things I really appreciate the fish is well-cut and good quality. I usually order via a delivery service, order is always right, almost always delivered before scheduled, and has generous portions. I've had their poke about 10 times in the past 4 months, and it's been very consistent and good. read more

This place has only been open for a few weeks and it's quickly become a routine for me to go here at least once a week. Fish is good quality and you get a decent amount of it for the price, and for $3.50 more you can add additional protein that still makes it cheaper than other poke options in the city. Staff is also quick to put your order together and SUPER nice. On one occasion, my husband and I placed our order online and were on our way to pick it up. An employee called us up and explained that one of the sauces we picked (I think it was Classic) would not pair well with the Salmon, and he made a few different recommendations instead. I greatly appreciated his suggestion and was pretty happy with the Ginger Hawaii Sauce :) read more

I love Poke bowls, and Poke Bowl did not disappoint in flavor and quality. Do not be deceived by the size of the bowls...they get filled to the brim with lots of food. You will be full or at least satisfied. Lots of choices and the staff happily explained each, so don't feel overwhelmed. This area has lots of food places to choose from, but if you want good food that is also quick, this is definitely the spot! The only thing that really upsets me about this business (and others that do it too) is that they serve everything with recyclable materials such as plastic, yet there isn't a recycle bin to be seen!! Just a trash can filled with PLASTIC. I'm a bit of a nut, and when I go to places like this, I take my containers/straws/plastic utensils home to recycle. PLEASE RECYCLE, POKE BOWL! read more

Typical and pricey. Overall, they are quick and a reliable option. However, I would only get in a pinch because of the price and the ease with which I could recreate their bowls myself. read more

Thumbs up all the way! Came in to Poke Bowl not expecting much but boy did they deliver. The service was friendly and helpful, restaurant was clean and prices were fair and reasonable. Fish was very fresh and all of the accompanying ingredients were soo delicious it was like a Poke-gasm in my mouth! Lol! I'll definitely be back for seconds, thirds, fourths, etc..... I wish them all the success and hope they stick around for a long while. My only complaint (which is really more of a compliment) is that they get rid of the old Subway-like fast food interior. An more fitting interior renovation to suit their wonderful food would really go a long way to branding their restaurant and really making their presence in the Fed Hill neighborhood. read more

My girlfriend and I are huge Poke enthusiast. We've tried a large variety of Poke places throughout the DMV area. That being said, Poke Bowl really checks all the boxes when it comes to getting your Poke fix. It's nothing spectacular to write home about, but it's good and has fresh ingredients. I got brown rice and salmon, with spicy mayo and the classic sauce. I topped my bowl with kale, seaweed salad, edamame, mango, pineapple, masago, and Korean radish! The bowl was very filling and I normally finish a chipotle burrito with no problem. The service was excellent! The servers were friendly and very quick. Overall, very pleasant experience! Very fresh ingredients. The price has increased to $1245 for the poke bowl and then another $1 surcharge added on top of that. Ordered from here for the first time yesterday afternoon and oh my goodness did things hit the spot. Poke Bowl may have a pretty straightforward name but there is nothing straightforward about their offerings and the flavors/ingredients in their Bowls and Burritos! I've tried Poke bowls at a few places and being a seafood and sushi lover I've definitely enjoyed myself but my Spicy Hawaiian style bowl from here helping me see the light. I now understand the hype and had one of the most filling (without being too much) and flavorful meals I've had in a bit. All the different flavors, spices, and seafood combined with the sweet tanginess of fresh Pineapple gave me everything I needed. Look forward to trying out more of the bowls, as well as all the burrito offerings they have. You can build your own bowl or burrito as well if you're feeling adventurous! read more

I love poke... but unfortunately this was a let down for me. The amount of fish they give is very little and on top of that you cannot mix!! This is the first time I've ever encounter this. Other places allow you to mix between tuna, salmon, etc. Not only was there little fish, there was TOO much rice making it look like there's a lot of food. I wasn't a big fan of the sauces, there was nothing special about them in terms of flavor. Lastly, I love of food spicy, and the jalapenos they had were not spicy at all. :( I gave this place 2 chances, but unfortunately this will not be my go to poke place read more

I didn't love this place and I really wanted to. I love poke bowls and I love sushi. I might have ordered the wrong thing. A lot of the stuff had wheat in it so I couldn't eat it because I have a gluten allergy. The staff was really helpful and brought out a few packages so I could check the ingredients. I got spicy mayo as my sauce which kind of grossed me out. The shrimp was also weird. I probably wouldn't come back h read more

Poke Bowl is a little takeout spot on the corner of Cross Street in Fed Hill. It's set up in the modern quick service style, where you can choose all your ingredients and they'll dump them all in a bowl, usually over rice. We opted for a traditional bowl, which had tuna, greens, avocado, peanuts, and a whole lot of other ingredients. Everything tasted fresh and well prepared. My wife and I even commented to each other that even that seaweed stuff that can be chewy and off-putting at other places was really good. There was a lot of food in that bowl, which for a mid-teen price tag I would hope for, and while two people can easily split a bowl, one hungry person could just as easily not let them. They have a standard soda fountain, but they also a have a few Asian juice drinks which we found very quenching. Aptly, they are located next to a couple poke stops so you can stock up on poke balls while you eat your poke bowls. read more

I was really hoping this place was going to be great. I tried a bowl off the menu when I tried the Hunt Valley location, and I didn't love it, so this time I did a build your own bowl. I ordered white rice, salmon, seaweed salad, kimchi, jalapeños, cilantro, cucumbers, and spicy mayo. I like that you can BYO bowl which is nice, but it was still underwhelming. The bowl was super heavy, but it turns out it was mostly rice and not a huge amount of salmon. The spicy mayo was mostly mayo and was just plopped on the bowl. The rainbow sushi burrito was very small for the price and had almost no flavor. It's not bad, but it's not somewhere I will be returning either. read more

Fantastic new addition to Federal Hill! Changing from the old Subway at this location to the Poke Bowl is like going from a Yugo to a Ferrari! The folks are really nice and really helpful, the food is incredibly fresh and tasty, and all the sauces finish it off perfectly. I had a bowl with white rice which is like an incredibly good sushi rice and salmon, with the Hawaiian spicy ginger sauce. And you get to choose from a million different veggies and other toppings, it's hard not to go overboard and just get everything but it was really really good. I probably should have read the reviews before ordering. Since, they accurately describe my experience. I paid $15+ for a build your own poke bowl and picked multiple ingredients and the bowl only was packed halfway. Honestly that was the most disappointing part, I also checked for the sweet chili aloha sauce to be mixed with the tuna and it wasn't. So I felt like the bowl was dry. The fish itself was nice and fresh which was something I did worry about when it comes to getting poke from a new spot. But, overall I don't think it's worth paying $15+ for unless they start changing their portion sizes. read more

I order from here very frequently and it is always fresh and delicious. The employees are very friendly as well.

We love poke, and we've had it all the way from CA to NY to DC to Baltimore. Sadly this was one of the weaker poke bowls that we've had. While we want it to work because the staff was so nice, the bowls lacked in flavor, excitement and honestly fresh fish. The quality of the fish was ok but the amount of it that we got for the price was a little less than expected. We both got bowls with salmon since that was the only fish that looked fresh, and got some different toppings on there. Edamame, cucumbers, cabbage, cilantro, avocado among other things. We both got different sauces to go on top but they just weren't even close to as good as other places that we've been to. Lastly, I know many food places have gone in and out of that space, but the smell that is in there was very of putting for us. Maybe if you've been coming to this spot for awhile? It was like an old building smell plus some other off smells....it did not make us want to eat poke. We probably won't come here again, there are other places in the area that we thought were better. read more
