Salmon Lover Roll
Melinda S.

I was craving sushi so decided to choose this spot in Lexington Market for lunch. The staff here were really nice. There are some stools at the booth and also some tables right next to it. It was peak lunchtime, but the wait was still pretty short. I ordered a seaweed salad and salmon lovers roll. The seaweed salad was tasty and a large portion with additional greens. The salmon lovers roll was packed full and had a good, fresh flavor. Overall, it was solid sushi and I'd come back and try other rolls and their poke bowls.

I love a good hot dog, I don't care why they're made of, you can never make me hate hot dogs. And when I want a good hot dog that I know is gonna be amazing every time, I'm gonna get the pretzel dog. So here I was on a Saturday night and I smell that delicious pretzel dough, I hadn't eaten like all day so I got 3 pretzel dogs. I was full after 2 and just stashed the 3rd in my coat pocket because it was wrapped in foil and who's gonna know ?? Right, right. So I probably went to like 3 more bars after that. Got home, crashed. Woke up and was like "why is there a hot dog in my pocket?" And did I eat it? Yes I did and it was still delicious. Truly an ode to yet another fun night in fells. Not to mention the service is always friendly and fast. It's so convenient and it's right in the heart of the little square area. So it's always there if you need a little pick me up while hitting the bars or checking out some of the local shops, or even just sitting by the water and enjoying the weather. It's simple and it's yummy.

HOT DOG sold to you from friendly faces in the shack. What more could you want? I also want to try their lemonade and sweet pretzels on my next trip. But truly you're here for the DAWGS. Glizzy goodness with a view of the harbor for the low low price of $6. I am lucky to have friends who live in Fells Point, and getting to know this neighborhood has been a joy. Grab your treat, enjoy the views, take walk! Dreamy day in Fells.

Underwhelming. Great idea to get people to come out and see Baltimore, though…read more Given the name of the event, I thought there would be way more lights and attractions to see. There were some buildings lit up and trees lined with lights, but where were all the main attractions and interactive displays? With so many people and the event so spread out, I felt it was hard to really find anything. The displays we did see (after waiting in long lines) were underwhelming. Mini light city was a cool idea, but on the night we went, it started closer to 6pm (rather than 5pm). I think the highlight of the evening was Impulse (sit on one end of the seesaw to see lights and hear some sounds as you go up and down) and The Pool (hope on circular platforms as they change color). If you start on the wrong end, you'll miss the nightly parade. The festival did offer a variety of food and beverage stands throughout, which was a nice touch. If you aren't already spending the day in Baltimore, I wouldn't make a trip specifically for this festival. If you do go, make sure you check out the schedule and map before hand to maximize your experience. Be prepared for massive crowds!

One of the first things that caught my attention was the pricing. All of the AYCE restaurants I've been to always have separate lunch and dinner rates, but Kanji has an incredible deal of ONLY $30 all day long for their full menu + buffet AND it is so worth it! I loved that everything is made to order, so every sushi roll, hibachi, and teriyaki dish arrived fresh, hot, and nicely prepared! Beyond the sushi and hibachi, the buffet selection was fantastic. I was able to try everything from meaty crab legs and seafood boil to wings and wontons! I felt like every craving I had was satisfied here. A unique touch to the buffet is the sauce bottle section. I'm a huge fan of yum yum sauce and spicy mayo, so being able to add as much as I wanted to each bite made my experience so much better and tastier! The most important highlight of my experience was the service! Most times at AYCE sushi spots, it can take forever to receive my order... meanwhile at Kanji, my sushi order came out on a BOAT. I was beyond surprised at the beautiful presentation and how kind the server was to remind my table which rolls was which. Our server was so quick and attentive, making sure that our experience was enjoyable from start to finish! I truly loved my experience here at Kanji and highly highly recommend it! It's the perfect spot to bring friends and family to enjoy a fun and satisfying dining experience.
