Pork yaki udon noodles and dynamite roll
    Emily T.

I love that this restaurant has Japanese, Thai, and Chinese options for when you want some of everything! The sushi rolls were all very good and would definitely order again. Our favorite was the Tsunami roll with white fish, tuna and salmon inside. I believe the menu we got on the door was Sakura Cafe III. We were surprised to see udon noodles as we love them but can hardly find them anywhere in the city! The pork was a little dry but the noodles were very good. We are used to drunken noodles being a bit spicier but I am sure many ppl will love them just like this. Great customer service, they even included an extra sushi roll for being a first time order. We are not used to such thoughtful service and will definitely be ordering again!

    Crabmeat wonton

11/28: Called in delivery so the restaurant wouldn't pay the fees; their delivery fee is higher but all items ordered were priced lower than the online peddlers and worked out cheaper in my favor. The sui mono soup was basically broth, and that broth was very good! Don't underestimate a simply done yet complex tasting bowl of broth. The salad was fresh and the dressing was delish. Crabmeat wontons were typical. Side thought: why aren't Baltimore restaurants making fresh, in-house crabmeat wontons?!? And the sakura roll was good.

I got the Hawaiian Poke Sushi bowl and the Baked Scallop California roll to share. I'm used to being disappointed by the portions of poke bowls at sit-down restaurants, but this bowl did not disappoint. The bowl had a generous portion of tuna and everything was so fresh. For the scallop roll, there was a large baked scallop on each piece of sushi. I thought having something warm on sushi might be odd, but it was delicious! I'm still thinking about this meal and need to go back soon!

The ambiance is cute and cozy, but a bit stuffy, the person behind me kept hitting my chair lol. The food was mid. I would say I'm a pretty avid sushi eater, this place tries their best, but misses the mark. I enjoyed their appetizers, but actual sushi was bad. The rice is a bit undercooked and has an extra soft texture. It feels a bit too mushy, which feels unnatural. My friend ordered the avocado roll and that was not tasty at all. We asked if we can get it wrote off the bill or returned, but they said "no refund or exchanges!" lol. So we had to take this massive L for the mediocre sushi. That is all; see attached a photo.

The atmosphere is elegant, stylish, and made the evening feel extra special. The menu offered plenty of vegetarian options, which my husband appreciated. He enjoyed the vegetable fried rice and vegetarian sushi, and there were several other meat-free choices available. I ordered the branzino served with spinach and mushrooms, topped with a rich, flavorful sauce, and it was absolutely delicious. The rest of our group ordered steak, and it disappeared almost as soon as it hit the table. We started with cocktails. The ladies enjoyed the lychee martinis, while the gentlemen sipped Woodford Reserve Old Fashioneds. Everything was well prepared. Our waiter was exceptional. I wish I could remember his name because he was incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and took the time to walk us through the menu and make recommendations. From the food and drinks to the service and beautiful ambiance, Azumi exceeded our expectations. We'll definitely be back.

My partner and I enjoyed the venue as well. Its in baltimore harbor, one of the newer developments in the boardwalk. Parking is a 5-10 min walk and is not bad. No complaints about the service. Will visit again for sure.

The servings are pretty sizeable - they really love putting their sushi platters in a boat which seems appropriately sized. It all makes for a great date night or small group dinner. It is staple in Fells Point being open for a couple of decades so the people sure do believe in this place. I thought the cuts of fish were very generous and tasty, but I was a little disappointed in the sushi rice. I found it a bit mushy and not seasoned properly. We mainly ordered sashimi or rice-less dishes. The cucumber salad was just that - rounds of cucumber. We got this with Crab Meat, but there didn't seem to be any dressing on it so it was fairly plain. I enjoyed the Sashimi Roll - they are large pieces that will stretch the average mouth to fit. We got a side of spicy mayo and found it more sweet than spicy. I appreciated that the Sushi & Sashimi plate came with small seaweed salad. All in all a great spot I would frequent if I lived in Baltimore - you really can't beat the location that enhances the dining experience.

We'll definitely be back. We ordered the special menu appetizer watermelon, I don't remember the name and Onigiri. I ordered the Mazemen and my partner got the special spicy shrimp ramen. The pink drink is the Open Kimono, the gochujang isn't overbearing but has a subtle flavor that really bright everything together. The Toki Monster had a piece of pork belly for the garnish and my partner also ordered the special mystery saki. He said it was unlike any other sake he's ever tasted in the best possible way. We were promptly sat, service was quick and fast. My chicken tantanmen was delicious. The numbing sichuan chili oil with the crispy karaage, paired with a nutty miso broth was just perfect for an overcast day. My bf also thoroughly enjoyed his vegan mushroom ramen and appreciated the cook on the mushrooms as it wasn't just bland and spongy. Would absolutely come back if they keep offering non pork broth options. Or at least the ability to sub broths out. Interior was also decorated very cool.
