This place is getting five stars for the food and the service. The plates are subtle and innovative twists on some classics as well as tried a true brunch and breakfast items. I was just in a convo at work about sweet potatoes and I gave my very non-popular assessment that I don't think the nutritional difference is enough to move me from a traditional potato. Let me tell you, I ate my words this weekend because the Chorizo and hash made me do a complete 180. The sweet potatoes made this classic dish even better! The sweet and savory of the dish was perfection. Accompanied by a glass of sparkling wine and my brunch was complete! My husband had the veggie omelet and really appreciated the kale swap for a traditional veggie omelet that would include spinach. We both cleaned our plates- portion size was perfect. My new neighborhood go to spot for an old fashioned Wanted a drink before I ended my night and saw that my neighborhood has a restaurant that the bar doesn't close until 1am. Patterson public house is located next to Patterson park. I passed It many times but never gave It a chance until tonight. I actually wanted to try their coquito but apparently that's a seasonal drink so I ended up getting the smoked peach old fashioned. It's pretty good and blended well. I absolutely love Patterson Public House, I frequently come here and I'm shocked I've never left a review! The Public House vibes are very lowkey, easygoing, and fun. The employees are all super friendly and laidback, I have never had bad service here, even when it's packed. If you're lucky enough to snag a table outside, you can enjoy the weather underneath the cherry blossoms surrounded by the colorful rainbow paint of the sidewalk and corner. If you're inside, the bar is cozy, the lighting is warm, and there's lot of table seating in the back. The fun thing about this place - besides the great happy hour deals - is the ever changing menu. Depending on what day you go, or what season it is, you may get an entirely different menu! The specials are always fantastic and over the years, they've expanded and offered more varied options. Because I come here often, I'm armed with recommendations. For appetizers, you can't go wrong with fried Brussels, wings, truffle fries, or the cheese and bread charcuterie. This is a great local spot! My partner, and I live on the other side of Patterson Park, and we have walked over here few times to grab food. our current favorite food item is definitely the wings; it's a really great deal especially on Wednesdays because wings are 50% off! So we were able to eat two small wing platters and share fries for about $20. A steal, especially when they have so many different flavors on the menu! Outside of their wings , everything I have tried here has been really good! The Caesar salad is good and great with the fried chicken tenders, and the Mac and cheese is gooey and creamy! It's a really solid American spot, family friendly and the staff are welcoming. I have yet to try their Ramen night or their world renowned balls, but I am definitely interested!! I dined al fresco and had the shrimp po-boy and a tasty white beer from Union Craft brewing (also in Baltimore). I would return to this spot if in the area again. if i could rate this place 10 stars i would. this is about a dramatic review but i felt dramatic while eating it because it was so good first. the location is super nice. i was able to walk there and i ordered a burger medium well with fries. the staff was nice and i waited a bit to get my food. the lady handed me this box with my food and i instantly smelled the burger. i couldn't wait to get home. when i opened it, the smell HIT me. i started eating and yall.... the burger was cooked to perfection i was literally in heaven. i have never had tomato jam and tbh i don't like tomatoes lol. but i could actually bottle that and eat it with a spoon. every bite i ate made me sad that i was getting closer to the end the bacon was crispy and complimented it so well. the fries were so simple yet so good. i was craving a burger today and just picked a place and this one literally exceeded my expectations. read more

Came here for brunch with a large group on a weekend! The place is cute on the outside, just on the corner of the park which is a great location. There are a some small tables outside. Inside, there's a cute bar area and tables inside. They seated us quickly even though we were a large group! Once we sat down, we got our drinks quickly. They have bottomless mimosas on the weekends! We didn't end up getting them, but got some bottomless coffee instead. However, we waited a long time for our food. I know they make their food to order, but we had a longgg wait. Long ass wait for some food. Friends and I sat and had 2 cups of tea and about an hour later the food came out! And it was just OK. Our server was GREAT! Very patient and accommodating. However my girlfriend ordered not one but 2 glasses of Prosecco and forgot to mention to us that there was a bottomless brunch offered for $12 when each glass cost her $11 ‍. This is our favourite neighbourhood pub. Moved into the area in November and frequent it often. Always a great vibe, but today was really crazy. Drew and I are new to the area, and although we aren't terribly far from Canton, we were on the hunt to find our new meet up spot and it looks like Patterson Public House just might be that. It's looks like it's an old Rx pharmacy turned into a laid back bar. It's not huge inside, but the vibe of the staff and customers definitely make up for that. We sat at the bar, I ordered their Cherry Cocktail and Drew had a beer. The cherry cocktail was absolutely amazing! A bit of sour and sweet made me feel like summer wasn't ending. We also had their house fries and as a self-proclaimed fry connoisseur, these spuds were definitely an 8.5/10. Fresh, hot, salty, crispy...all the necessary components of amazing fries were there. I wanted to give this place 4 stars, really I did, but for now its just okay to me. This place has taken over the old Bistro RX spot. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The food is not bad at all, the burger and fries are really delicious. My only issue is the price point for some of the entrees. I was really disappointed with the scallop entrée, I do not have a problem paying $24 and up for an entrée, but not for entrée with 3 scallops and 2 cubes of sweet potatoes. The dish was really delicious but I was very disappointed. The next time I stop in, I will just stick with the burger and fries or some wings. But overall, the service was really good, our waitress was friendly and courteous. read more

So we frequented this place when it was Bistro RX. It has a local feel and fresh farm to table food menu. The decor wasn't very different from before which I liked. The small menu was alarming at first since my fiancé and I are pescatarian, but the server said they could adapt most items to be veggie friendly. The only thing of concern is it is pricier than most other places around. I would like to see some happy hour items other than drinks. But overall the veggie torta was delicious and the tomato salad was good. (Tomatoes could have been fresher) We will return for sure. Our server Aubrey was excellent!!! This place is a gem. They source foods from local producers, they've got a former Brewer's Art chef, and the owner(s) live nearby. They took over the old Bistro RX spot, because they didn't want to lose their local hangout. Instead, they scooped up the space and made it WAY better. The food theme here is, "elevated". They take normal dishes, find super locally sourced ingredients, and take them up a notch. The presentation is usually beautiful and have a revolving special until they run out. I'm really hoping this place makes it. It's a great addition to the Patterson Park neighborhood and finally gives me a Sunday brunch spot I want to frequent weekend after weekend. They offer outdoor and indoor seating on the corner of Baltimore and Linwood. If you sit outside expect a bit of traffic with the lovely view of the park. The food is much better than I anticipated for a casual environment. There's cool art and lighting hung about that is inviting. The staff is attentive and accommodating. Their menu is pretty decent. I hope they expand to offer more veggie options but it was easy to substitute out the meat in place for something else. My friend and I had our choice of seating when we arrived and our server was super nice. We both got the burger (perfectly cooked to medium). So, having been past the Public House before, I decided it was the way to go. Fortunately there was a table available outside. It is not an extensive draft list, at least right now. I will say, though, it had some good local beer on the list. I went with a nice pilsner which on a hot Sunday and still needing to ride back home was the right choice. It was quenching. Our server was great. She stopped by a couple of times just in case we wanted something else or maybe something to eat. Great Father's Day visit. As an added bonus, we rode back on Baltimore St toward downtown. On our way we were able to stop to listen to neighborhood music. Got a low key dinner at the bar here. I got wings and my husband got the $8 burger and beer. It was perfect. Since it was Sunday they were doing half priced bottles of wine (ANY bottle!), and we wished we could have indulged. Burger was juicy and flavorful and the wingers had a good crisp without being gun dry. Sometimes wings can be tough to get off the bone if they are undercooked or dry if they are overcooked.
