Union Hill Kitchen & Craft Bar has all the components of a restaurant you want. Excellent customer service, amazing food, and they truly cater to their guests. I actually found Union Hill while planning my friend's 40th birthday dinner from another state, and from the moment I reached out, everything just flowed. I inquired about hosting a dinner and one of the owners, Matt, got back to me within a day. From there, the planning felt effortless. He answered all my questions, stayed in communication, and really helped bring the whole vision together. We had close to 30 people for the dinner in one of their private dining areas, and when I say the staff was impeccable... they were ON IT. My friend had no idea where she was going, so this was a full surprise. Once we gave the staff the green light, they were ready and immediately started accommodating everyone. Everything just flowed from there. We did family-style appetizers, which I loved because everyone got to try a little bit of everything. Everything was flavorful and came out at the perfect pace. For my entrée, I had the salmon and it was so good. And listen... I hosted the whole thing, ate there that night, AND still had leftovers to take home. That's always a win. They were also super accommodating leading up to the event. I was able to drop off the cake and cake pops the evening before, and I was even able to decorate the private dining area, which made everything feel really personal. What could have easily been a stressful experience ended up feeling seamless. The restaurant atmosphere is beautiful. The private dining area worked perfectly for our group, and they even have an upstairs outdoor area as well as a downstairs outdoor space, which I didn't get to experience this time but definitely want to the next time I go back. I'm so grateful I came across Union Hill Kitchen & Craft Bar. It made such a special occasion even better.

I popped in on a Sunday with a girlfriend for brunch. We were catching up for quite some time, and the server was respectful of that and allowed us to take our time to place our order. The restaurant was quiet earlier in the morning, but then became more lively about mid morning with multiple large parties which was a bit noisier, but still fine to catch up. I ended up ordering the lamb shakshuka which was really flavorful. It was really filling, and I almost did not finish it. I would be back to try dinner!

It was our first time trying union hill kitchen & craft bar. The Hugo spritz I got was so refreshing. We got a 1/2 dozen oysters, the spicy pepperoni flat bread, and the BBQ Brisket sandwich. The meat in the sandwich was tender and it was paired with an apple slaw that wasn't too sweet. The flat bread was good, but more on the greasy side. The ambiance is nice. Can be for a lunch date or dinner. Service was attentive. Overall, was a good experience!

First time stopping here but it won't be the last! From the outside I didn't think this place was as big as it is! There was plenty of seating and there was an upstairs but I didn't go up there! The restaurant was very clean and well kept and the decor was casual-modern. I sat at the bar and did some much needed work at the bartender Sarah was a gem. Sarah was super sweet, attentive, professional and courteous, she made some awesome drinks! She also remember my large order of food without writing it down! I ordered tomato soup, crisp rib ribs, house salad with salmon ,fried calamari and everything was delicious! I will definitely be visiting again.

Crispy short ribs appetizer was incredible! We came for happy hour (3-6pm Mon - Fri) so small plates, flat breads, and most drinks were $2 off. For a cocktail, I ordered the test bench, a rotating cocktail they're trying out. It was delicious!!

Just fine! Not amazing or terrible, but nice staff and a cozy space. Came for brunch on a Saturday around 11, it was pretty empty so we got seated right away and could pick our own table. This would be a great spot for large groups - they had tons of tables. I got breakfast tacos and my friend got Belgian waffles. My tacos were tasty, but cold/room temp and the actual corn tortilla apart instantly so I had to use a fork. The price was fair - $16 for 3 tacos including some breakfast potatoes. My friend noted her food was of similar quality and value. Everything came quick and staff was attentive but not overbearing. Overall, Union Hill was neither incredibly delicious or offensive, I would consider trying again for dinner, but it's not high on my list!

Came here for dinner for a friend's birthday! Ambiance: really nice for date night or a dinner. Dressy casual Service: overall good. Drinks: the wine list was a little confusing (the red blend was a white wine), and they were out of their spiked ginger beer. But the cocktails were solid Food: menu was American with Korean flavors. The seabass was cooked well with the risotto - VERY buttery. The chicken sandwich was solid but nothing special. Solid meal but on the expensive side - dinner and drinks with tip for 2 came out to $150 total.

I finally tried Union Hill last weekend and we had a fabulous time. The bartender was super friendly and so funny, she was also very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The inside is well decorated and moody with warm lighting. I really enjoyed sitting at the bar with the breeze and sunlight blowing in. The food was great, we started with a dozen oysters which were delicious. Then we split the tuna tartare, which was sooo freaking good. The grilled halloumi was the perfect appetizer to finish with. We didn't try entrees this time, but we can't wait to come back!

The service was amazing and they accommodated us and our 2 dogs so we could participate in the Patio Passport by Dogs of Charm City. The cocktails were made well and tasted fresh. I enjoyed the only fans, which comes with a rose shooter so to speak, so you can add it to your drink or sip it separately. I enjoyed the tuna tartare more than the halloumi because the halloumi felt like it was missing something. The peppers on the tuna and the sauce were a great combination. For dinner I had the salmon with risotto and I loved everything in it but the asparagus as I'm not big into it. My fish was cooked to my requested temperature and seasoned beautifully. The risotto was cooked perfectly. My spouse got the scallops and loved that they were thick and meaty while also being cooked just right. We're used to getting scallops half the size elsewhere. He enjoyed his dish but wanted mine more and I said no, haha! They brought out fries at our request for our dogs as we ran out of treats and provided water bowls for them. For dessert I had the key lime pie and it was very good. I'm very picky about key lime pie and this didn't disappoint. He got the peaches and cream dessert and he enjoyed that with the fresh ice cream from Taharka. We also took home bread pudding that was delicious. We will absolutely be back with and without it dogs. Our server was fantastic and she complimented how well behaved our dogs were.

I normally don't give 5 stars but I thoroughly enjoyed lunch with my wife at Union hill located in canton. Ambiance: beautiful. Upon walking in you are greeted to black wooden floors, high rise ceilings, lighted bar with a waterfall wall and a staircase up to a private area. We were welcomed by the hostess and she directed us to our booth which was very comfortable. First off: shout out our waiter John he was excellent. He was friendly and gave us amazing recommendations that did not disappoint. We started off with the spicy pepperoni flatbread. Delicious the red sauce was fresh and had a similar sweetness to that of ledos. My wife had a lemonade and I had a hard ginger beer. It was a bit lackluster not better than actual ginger beer. Next entrees: Short rib Pappardelle pasta - very light and garlicky the short rib was braised and my wife highly enjoyed the entree I ordered the hazelnut crusted sea bass. It came with Parmesan risotto and sautéed spinach. DELICIOUS FILLING ALL AROUND SEASONED. The food was so good we didn't even get dessert. Yall please come

The service was good, our waitress was super accommodating. The host sat us next to the door which was open so I kept getting bitten by flies but our waitress moved us with ease. The ambiance is fine -- it's a really big space so it felt quite empty during Monday dinner. The food itself was okay. I enjoyed my cocktail and my boyfriend's beer was also very good. The shrimp toast was an interesting amalgamation of flavors. Not sure if this is a western take of Vietnamese shrimp toast? It's a sweeter dish if folks prefer that. The entrées are what kept us from ordering dessert. I've never had a risotto that tasted doused in oil? Butter? I'm not sure but by the end I had a puddle of grease in my bowl. The sea bass was fine though! The chicken forgione was salty. I know this place is new so definitely some time to improve. One of the chefs went to a table next to us to ask for their thoughts and skipped us over.. but they seem receptive to feedback...

The service from the bartenders was not so great or welcoming. When I asked about the espresso martini and asked for it without lavender, the bartender made way too big of a deal. The espresso martini is pre-made. I opted for a vodka soda and it was pretty hard to drink. The menu feels limited. They do not have pineapple, Red Bull, or many other popular mixes. Positively, prices are very good, especially compared to the other bars in the area. No bartender in sight, no other patrons, no background noise. For a moment, we genuinely wondered if we were in the right place. The bar is down a flight of stairs, tucked into the basement, and it's notable because it's Fells Point's only and possibly first basement bar, which already gives it serious character points. We waited near the bar for a few minutes, heard nothing, saw no one, and eventually started heading back up the stairs to leave. That's when Steve, the bartender, literally came after usnot in a weird way, but in a very human, "Hey! Sorry about that, I was in the stock room come back in!" way. And honestly? From that moment on, the experience completely flipped. Steve was phenomenal. Friendly, welcoming, deeply knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the place. He's worked there for 18 years, and once we sat down, he turned the bar into a living history lesson. He shared stories about Fells Point, Baltimore, Edgar Allan Poe, the building itself, and all the ghost stories tied to the space. He also told us about the celebrities who've passed through, including the fun detail that Blake Shelton once sat in the very bar stool I was sitting in and ordered a Bullet bourbon. Naturally, that kind of trivia just adds to the charm. Drink-wise, I ordered an Angry Orchard, and my friend had a single Tito's with cranberry and soda water. Our total was $26.16, which feels pretty standard for Baltimore definitely not cheap, but not shocking either. The bar itself is small, intimate, and packed with atmosphere exposed brick, low ceilings, and that cozy, historic, slightly haunted vibe you hope for in a basement bar. It's also connected to The William Fell Inn hotel through a separate entrance, which makes it feel like a hidden secret rather than a tourist stop. We loved the history, the stories, the ghosts, the setting and especially Steve. Being the only patrons that night was actually a gift, because it let us really soak it all in. That said, we're absolutely planning to come back on a busy night to see how the energy shifts when it's full. If you love historic bars, good storytelling, and places that feel like they've seen things Anchor Bar is a must. ‍
