    Southern bowl

I love the effort and creativity of this place. The brunch appetizer menu, awesome! The mix and match bottomless cocktails, epic! We were greeted immediately and told to sit wherever we like. While I wanted to love this place, it needs some adjustments. The chairs aren't comfortable. Let's put in some booths, or at least invest in some new chairs. The mix and batch bottomless is such a great idea! But let's add all the brunch cocktails to that. It's too limited. My daughter had the chicken and waffles, her boyfriend had the southern bowl, and I had the dollar pancakes plate (no butter was served). Overall, delicious!

Neighborhood spot! We spotted this place on our walks and decided it would be the first place we had a post pregnancy outdoor meal with our child. The service team was extremely kind. Especially as it began to rain upon our attempt to leave. They helped us get the stroller inside and let us wait it out. It's evident that the local community loves this place, and they have regulars. With a long list of beers on tap, I can see why. While the food was taste was average, I did appreciate the creativity. The buffalo sprouts were good. Nice crisp on the sprouts and great ratio of sauce to sprout. Fries... crispy... also known as... perfection. The salad left much to be desired, but the mocktails made up for it. I appreciated Huck's ability to serve such a wide variety of beverage options. You don't find that often, or if you do, the NA options are super limited and basic. We dined outside which was cool, inside was small and dark but perfect for catching the game and sipping a beer.

This place was great though I'll say up front I didn't sit inside (so can't say much about the ambiance), nor did I eat anything from the menu other than dessert (so I can't say much about the food in general). That said, I did use the bathroom, and it was lovely. I'm sure the rest of the inside is lovely as well, but I admit to not paying much attention as I was coming and going. I can say that customer service was impeccable. Our waiter was attentive and kind. I ended up ordering a dessert, the name I can't recall, but it was essentially a blueberry toaster strudel a la mode. It was amazing. I ate every bite and tried to get as much melted ice cream on my spoon as I could. Payment was easy. I shall return to check out the inside and more menu items. Definitely looking forward to it.

I came here for happy hour with a friend, and it was a great option that I would return to! Happy hour from Monday to Friday 4-7pm: $3 vodka $4 craft beers $5 old fashioned $6 wine glass $7 tenders $8 cheese curds Ambiance: Very casual vibes, mix of high-top seating, bar seating and tables. Service: Fast, friendly, no complaints. Food: Cheese curds: First time having cheese curds, and they were amazing! Crunchy on the outside, delicious savory cheese on the inside -- my friend said they rivaled Wisconsin cheese curds, which might be a controversial topic. Veggie pretzel pizza: These are personal pizzas served with thin crust pretzel dough, which did taste pretty similar to normal dough, but still great pizza! If you're not into super crispy crusts, this might not be for you. Drinks were great, and the old fashioned was enjoyable. Overall, great experience at their happy hour, and would come again!

    Veggie Pie

Tried to give this place a second try after a bad experience over a year ago and somehow had a worse experience. Service was unfortunately bad and slow. The food and drinks were mid at best. The veggie pie was bland with raw veggies just thrown on top. The pretzel crust was gimpy and not crispy at all with no salty flavor that was described. The bread pudding took so long to come out that it was cold and tasted burnt, didn't even take a photo since they gave it to us in a to go container instead of serving it normally. After 2 bad experiences over a year apart, I really cannot justify wasting money here again.

The S'mores bread pudding was the worst bread pudding I've ever had in my life. It was so dry even though it was covered in chocolate sauce.

Updating this to 1 star because I have food poisoning. Don't eat here. ----- Excellent service. The staff is amazing. The food isn't that great. It's not seasoned well, and everything is really dry. Definitely not worth the stomachache it gave me. The drinks taste great, but they are extremely weak. It was like drinking juice. Not worth the money.

    Brewer's Hill Salad

This is the first time I have eaten from here. I ordered the "BREWER'S HILL SALAD" which consists of Iceberg lettuce topped with 2 hard-boiled eggs, bacon, tomatoes, cucumber, peas and NY aged cheddar served with choice of dressing (I chose honey mustard). The salad was not great to my tasting. The cucumbers were cut into small square shaped pieces and it consisted mostly of the dark green peels, I did not like the peas in it, which did not add any flavor to the salad. It was not horrible, but it was not fabulous either! This gets a C+ rating.

Best Friday lunch experience in Charm City!!! Curtis is the man! Keeping it real while keeping it safe. I recommend the Brewer's Hill Salad with a Crush.

Got a chance to come by here for brunch on Saturday and it hit the spot! Cozy spot, great for groups to gather for a meal, a game, or brunch! We started off with two OJs, but unfortunately these were definitely designed for mass consumption of mimosas and not individual OJs. However the meal only went up for them. I went with the breakfast burrito and my wife went with one of the scrambles made with peppers and tomatoes. Entrees came out rather quickly, and we're fantastic. Each plate comes with home fries which were actually very well seasoned. There was definitely a solid sized portion too so come hungry. The scramble was very fresh, and surprisingly filling, the burrito tasted like a smash between a cheeseburger and egg platter which absolutely hit the spot. Overall highly recommend the spot!

It's so wonderful to come across genuine people who are funny and kind in this world. Our server and the owner were so fun and so funny and so nice. It truly felt like visiting a friends restaurant. The vibes are homey, almost feels like a library but not quite, very cozy very comfy. Food: Tomato Mozarella, this was my two fav things in one. Tomato and burrata/mozarella, and prosciutto and melon. Delicious. 10/10. Prawns: so good, so flavorful, and I typically am not a shrimp/prawn girl. Skirt Steak: this was such a juicy and moist (sorry) steak. I don't like chimmichurri (cannot spell that omg) but it was good! The fries were also a winner. Moroccan Hen: this felt like a cookout bbq to be honest but in the best way. It's super flavorful, very smoky, and SO juicy. Drinks: watermelon marg, orange espresso cocktail, and I cannot remember the blue drinks name but all delicious. I fear this is my fav espresso martini to date. Dessserts: the Poe's nest and the Ruby & Emerald. Delicious. No notes.

A few of us came early and got drinks at the speakeasy upstairs which I definitely recommend! It had a great drink menu and cool vibe. For actual dinner, the restaurant itself had an eclectic menu and swanky decor. The service was spotty. I had to ask for water refills 2x. Also for a group of 12, it took about 7 mins for everyone to be served food. Yes, this is a large party, so you must have several servers come bring the food when you're charging these prices. It should've been a seamless experience but we had several friends waiting on their food while others were halfway through. The food quality itself was hit or miss. The pork belly app was delicious! Crispy and tender. But the octopus was overly chewy and weird. We had 2 dishes with it and both were cooked like that, it wasn't good. The lobster poutine was delicious and went quick. Paella was okay - the shellfish was overcooked and seemingly dried up. Drinks were good and staff was friendly. Overall, there are a lot of kinks to work out. I'd like to come back but at the price point, I wish our experience was better and wish the food was more consistently good.

My friend said I had to come here. We did. As soon as we stepped out of the Uber the adventure began. The building is so out dated but the entrance door held its charm. Neon lit Edgar portrait reading from a book his Annabel Lee. Complete with a bouquet of flowers. To the right more words of the writer surrounded with a few tables and chairs for those willing to chill in the cold. Inside was no different. Several crows, skulls everything you'd expect. And a well stocked bar. Many writings on the wall, articles, awards, etc all added to the vibe and theme. And of course dimly lit but you could still read the menu. We were guided to the back for our party of 5, in a corner away from everyone else. That made it easy for us to converse as we perused the menu exclaiming this and that of the dreadful names used and deathly ingredients mixed in. It definitely made it more appetizing. After working all day I was ready for a drink and settled on the To Isadore; gin, lavender syrup, lemon squeeze topped with segura cava. That hit the spot. Unfortunately, I had eaten quite a bit on this trip and forced myself to order the Chef Salad. Nothing more to say there. My wife, though, ordered the seafood lasagna. Never had that and it didn't sound like something I could get into. I was wrong. This is Baltimore. The seafood here is astounding. It was delicious and had to take a couple spoon fulls. My friend ordered the double beef patty burger. I was jealous until he offered me a bite. That was really good too, and juicy. If you're looking for an experience and are not too afraid you may want to visit Annabel's. I do recommend it and do insist coming after the sun has been well down.
