I would recommend you eat in restaurant as takeaway sometimes messes with the texture of the noodles. There's a meal for every diet type. I was in the Fells point area for my work meeting. My colleague and I decided to checkout this place for lunch. They have a couple of options for ramen and sandwich. My colleague ordered the fried chicken sandwich and I ordered the classic pork tonkotsu ramen. It's a self serve restaurant. We had to wait a bit as there was a long line during lunch hours. My ramen was good but not as good as some of the ramen I have had in DC. Portion was smaller for the price. For the same price I get double the amount in DC which lasts for 2 meals. Flavor was good. Fun fact- because they are in Whole Foods, they must use all natural ingredients so they use local beer to make their noodles!! The ramen is delicious, very unique flavors. Honestly, my top Ramen spot in the city. This is not like a traditional Japanese Ramen, which is why I think I like it. It's Malaysian. The staff is always really friendly and the rewards program is really good. I really like their chicken wings as well as their noodles. I've actually never had their rice, dishes or sandwiches. They're habanero, hot sauce and their house made chili oil is bomb. Make sure to ask for it. You can also buy their own chili oil. Among these three noodles, I like the chicken shoyu the best. The egg is well-seasoned and delicious! I like their topping for the chicken ramen. There were a lot of chickens and the broth was savory. As for the tonkotsu porky ramen, the roasted pork seems to be seasoned with star anise and nice though it was a bit tough. Deep-fried pork was served as a side dish but it was too much for me since there were many slices of roasted pork in the ramen. The somewhat violent noodle pulling and throwing against the table top was fun and exhilarating! Then we each got to try it out at our own stations. Boy was this a great workout! Good for relieving stress. The learning portion of the class was approximately 2 hours. Then comes the eating.... We moved over to the kitchen counter and awaited the fried dumplings. It comes with a nice ginger, black vinegar sauce which paired nicely with the fresh dumplings. We also tried the hand pulled noodles two ways. Dry seasoned in a sesame / peanut sauce. Wet broth with crispy beef and soft boiled eggs. Both showcased the tenderness of the freshly pulled noodles. We finished with almond tofu with a coconut and condensed milk syrup topped with fresh strawberries and peaches. The experience was exceptional! The noodle masters made it so fun! A gem atop Whole Foods!! I tried the noods at the Asian food fest in DC years ago and have not stopped thinking of them since. Do not hesitate to park in the Whole Foods garage to save yourself headache, because they DO validate! I can't resist the noodles in the perfectly flavored slightly numbing spicy creamy sauce. My favorite is the one with pork; I tried the mushroom one which was also tasty but it didn't have the same oomph which probably come from the fatty pork flavor. The noodles were perfectly cooked and coated in a creamy sauce. The addition of the chili oil made it even better. The tonkatsu ramen was not it -- tasted like a salty broth without much depth in flavor, would not get again. Chicken sandwich was certainly unique - had a szechuan mayo sauce on it and the bun was fried. My friend really enjoyed it. They are located on the 2nd floor of the Whole Foods in Harbor East, so you can also park in their parking lot if you do not want to do street parking . They had a special which was the beef brisket ramen and it did not disappoint. My friend had the fiery pork noods, spicy pork, chili oil and locally craft beer infused noodles. I do not think I have ever had noodles (or maybe anything?) this good. I was absolutely blown away. This location is above the Whole Foods in Harbor East. You can easily get there by parking in the Whole Foods garage, and they validated our parking for two hours! We went on a Saturday afternoon, and it was pretty quiet. The wait didn't take too long and the views out the window looking at the water were beautiful. I got the Fiery Ground Pork Noods and I think they were perfection. I'm not sure how to describe the flavor, but it was bold and spicy and maybe a little sweet? The noodles were perfectly cooked but so nice and chewy - they really had a great texture. I loved that some were different thicknesses or shapes because that tells you they're really homemade. They are definitely fiery, so much so that my mouth was burning, but they were so good I could not stop myself from taking another bite. I didn't get the chance to try the Chicken Shoyu Ramen, but it looked and smelled amazing. I think I was too busy shoving my face with my own food to even consider asking for a bite. Under the radar (for now) Ramen spot and was a Yelp find. They're located on the 2nd floor of the Harbor East Whole Foods & this means parking is in their lot which works out well. That said, you can call and order them. I saw some specials (Brisket Ramen) when I went to pickup so some benefits to eating in. Ordered the Kingdom wings for app. Korean style wings with just right spicy didn't disappoint! Fiery Pork Noods were also tasty with spicy pork, (added egg) Chili Oil and locally craft beer infused Noodles. The Harbor Hen Sando had a large cutlet and was okay. I've had other Chicken Sandos before but this one was missing the seasoning. The Kewpie and pepper mayo were excellent and helped flavor this Sando some but..... The Beef Burger Sando was one that would have been much better (could taste the beef quality) if not overcooked (checked the medium rare box and unfortunately got medium well)-will go for cheeseburger Katsu next time which is available at Belvedere location. Don't forget to bring your own bags if picking up. Service was friendly and our order was ready as promised. My friend and I decided to check out Ejji above Whole Foods for lunch today. The 2nd floor area has a cafeteria like setting and is huge. There's even a good sized outdoor area to use as well. We both got the Harbor hen fried sando. The whole sandwich was crispy and crunchy - so good! The sauce had a slight mustard flavor which balanced out really well with the fried cutlet & a sweeter like fried bread that was really good. The outdoor patio seating with a view of the water was closed due to COVID, so looks like I'll just have to come back in the future! The sesame sauce was magical- creamy with well-balanced umami flavors. I ordered it with ground pork, but a vegetarian option with mushrooms is also available. The staff were so nice and even let me try the sauce before ordering, just to make sure it wasn't too spicy. It was probably around a 3/10 with a bit of numbing spice, but I can handle heat pretty well.
