I came in about an hour before closing, and anyone who eats out knows food can sometimes feel different that close to closing time. Not here. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and just as good as if I had walked in at peak dinner time. On top of that, I had an issue with my online order/payment. It looked like the charge was processing through my account, but they had no record of the order. Instead of making me feel like a problem, the person helping me was patient, kind, and genuinely tried to figure it out. I felt treated like a hungry customer who needed help not like someone trying to get over. The food looked good, tasted amazing, and the people were helpful, welcoming, and kind even near closing. When I went to the front to pick it up, they said they were boxing it up still. I waited a few more minutes and they said it was ready. I noticed that they handed everyone their order in a reusable to go bag automatically, however they asked me if I wanted a bag right before they handed me the box. I said yes and they put it in a reusable bag. The crab sandwich was tasty! The actual crab cake on it and the sauce was 1 of the best I've had! The sandwich included: a crispy soft shell crab, jumbo lump crab cake, old bay, melted cheddar and chesapeake remoulade sauce. The legs were a bit tough to chewy, due to the soft shell. I got a bit tired of chewying the legs and a bit on the bottom of the shell. This was my 1st time having a soft shell crab- definitely advise you to chew well. The bun was very soft, however there wasn't really a flavor to it. Which seemed to pair well since the crab cake was the star of the sandwich.

Their server didn't inform them of this when originally ordering so she had to order additional sides after their entrees came. They also ordered wagyu fried rice and wagyu air fried rice (what's that?) She did say the fish was good but they all left hungry. These entrées, two cocktails plus two reg bevs came to over $200. The price wasn't a problem however they felt the value when it comes to quantity and price, left them looking for more. They choose Azumi for her husband's 60th birthday celebration and had to ask the server about how they would celebrate him since the check was about to arrive and nothing had happened. Their server asked if they were ordering something from the dessert menu and my friend declined. The server then came back with a small bowl of ice cream on top of a block of ice and three spoons . . . . She said they were all surprised and basically laughed at the "birthday" treat before them and how they were supposed to share the palm sized ice cream. She said multiple times they wouldn't go back and how disappointed her husband was with his birthday dinner experience while telling me the story. But they are, and they represent sushi oh so powerfully well! From service to food presentation to the food itself. Lawd the food! 100 out of 100! They also carry beverages which you can choose from the glass door refrigerator at the back. Bottles available. Wink. The spot isn't posh by any means. You walk in, and the Server will smile and nod that you can seat yourself. What they don't have in terms of fancy they sure do make up for it with everything else. Super, super reasonably priced. Clean, pretty restaurant, fresh food and delightful staff. Staff, Eswuin the young Server is one of the best I've come across. He reads his customers well. He knows exactly when to approach and when to leave well alone. He knows when you're in need of a little extra love and when you just wanna chill with hardly any words. And get this! He's the ONLY SERVER! It has never been to capacity on any of my visits, but I've seen him handle more than four tables, delivery orders (and you know DEM DRIVERS can get impatient) and walk in 2Go customers like a true champ! His energy is so sweet. So too the Chef and BOH staff I've run into, but Eswuin is THAT GUY! Please, when you visit, tip him well. You'll absolutely experience how deserving he is.
