This restaurant is definitely catered to Americans. I would not bring your traditional grandma here. Service was good. It was pretty quiet in there for a Tuesday at 1:30PM Pho #4: Meat to noodle ratio was acceptable. Broth needed more salt. Summer rolls 6/10: The sauce was off. I was expecting the peanut sauce that's slightly thicker. The wrap themselves were not dry. You could tell these were freshly wrapped. Pad Thai 5/10: The dish was sweet which is how you know it's truly catered for Americans. Noodles weren't overcooked. I could've definitely gone higher for the spice level but I was trying to play it safe. I chose 1/5 spice and felt that there was no spice.
I usually only go to Mona super noodle for the back bar evenings but this time I was able to sit inside and check out the Pho on a warm summer day. Ok. I get the hype. The Pho broth was amazing! The serving size was also perfect enough for me to have leftovers after finishing 3/4 of the meal. I usually like to go to my go to spot in Catonsville Pho Saigon, but Mona is soon becoming a household favorite
This place is in Hampden and I've been meaning to check it out sooner. It's right around the corner from my daughter's school. It's very cute and quaint inside. I went on an early afternoon. The waiter was very friendly! The spring rolls were delicious and fried to perfection. The broth of the pho was amazing. My spice tolerance is extremely high however I mistook the spice level of the chili oil. I put about 5 huge dollops in my pho and was pleasantly surprised. I meant to order dessert but I was full by the time I finished. I will definitely try this place again and order some of the other menu items. They have both Thai and Vietnamese items on the menu. Also, the water mentioned they have a bartender after 6pm on certain weeknights!
The vibe at Mona's Super Noodle was immaculate. I went right when they opened at 11 a.m., and the energy was perfect. They were playing great music (the playlist was THAT), and the waiter greeted us with a big smile. I ordered the Seafood Pho and a non-dairy Thai tea. Both were delicious. It was my aunt's first time trying Thai tea, and she absolutely loved it, which made everything even more special. Mona's Super Noodle absolutely delivered on food, atmosphere, and hospitality. I can't wait to go back!
First time at Mona's and I was not disappointed! I was in the mood for pho--my newest obsession. Mona's is a cute and cozy vibe. Our waiter was super friendly. I never had Thai iced tea before and she gave me a sample before I committed to a full cup. It was pretty tasty. I'll definitely be back again. :)

Loved the Thai iced tea and appreciated that there is a dairy-free option. I got the Mona Chicken Box which was a ton of chicken for $15. Was craving mango sticky rice and was not disappointed.
My favorite pho restaurant. Customer service is amazing here. I love their brisket. It's always very fresh and flavorful. The broth is amazing. The cocoa shrimp is tasty and I always make sure I order it. And I always have to save room for dessert because how can you not have the mango sticky rice?

Love this cute spot in Hampden! The food is seriously so so good, and the servers are friendly and attentive. I got the drunken noodles at a spice level 2- if you are sensitive to spice, do not go any higher than this! My boyfriend got the teriyaki chicken which he loved. This is a must visit spot in Baltimore!
Ok so I've been eyeing this place for quite some time now and I finally had a chance to check it out tonight! It was a solo date type of night as I was really craving some good noodles and it has literally been the longest week!!! I was greeted warmly and sat immediately upon arrival at one of the high top tables. The young lady at the front was super sweet and had cute little star stickers on her face. My food was yummy! I enjoyed the shrimp summer rolls, the Thai tea less dairy, and the shrimp pad tai! Portion was great and I left feeling satisfied in both craving and fullness! Plenty of street parking along 41st and meters were going until 10/10:30 ish so just an FYI on that! This place also has outdoor seating and is much bigger inside than it appears to be from outside! I'll be back for the drunken noodles and the pho!
Mona's is a charming restaurant I've walked by in Hampden a million times, but didn't visit until last Friday. My friends and I bypassed the main dining area (which looked inviting) and settled in the annexed bar. I loved it in the bar area, it was a vibe and the music was a mix of chill hip hop and old school r&b. I ordered flat noodles and tofu for my main and a tofu appetizer. The appetizer was just more tofu like what was in my entree so I don't recommend getting both together, lol. The food was well prepared and fairly spicy. Service was great and checking out was a breeze. Will definitely return!
The food here is amazing. Truly, all of it. I eat here a few times a month and I've never had a bad meal. This place has cracked the code for sauces, which make everything about 100 times better than I expect it to be. The flavors of basically anything on the menu are gonna be robust - spicy and sour, salty and sweet, etc. Nothing here is one note. Their bahn mi are delightful, with just the right kind of slightly crispy, majorly fluffy bread. I can't say enough good things about their soup options. In addition to a whole pho menu, they also have tom yum and tom kha, which I'm pretty sure have cured me of a cold or two in the past. The summer rolls are also excellent, as is the papaya salad. They are also very fast for pickup orders, usually 15 minutes or less, so if you need something in a hurry, they are a great option.

The pad Thai was great! The banh mih was great too, but it's different kind of pork, not the usual grilled bbq pork, but it's refreshing with the rest of the ingredients. read more
This place came highly recommend to try the Laotian fried chicken box. The rice which was sticky rice was actually somehow under cooked with hard pieces of rice and the fried chicken was overcooked to the point of being dry. Could be they just had a bad night but I'll go back and try the noodles. The spring rolls were decent. Service and the ambiance were nice. My rut is with the kitchen. read more

I've never had Laos pho before but this was so delicious! I'm Vietnamese and have been craving a good bowl of pho, but in Baltimore I've found it all to be just ok - but this place definitely hits the spot. It's a little more beef flavored with hints of garlic which makes it so yummy. The beef is tender and there was a good portion of noodles too. The papaya salad was pretty mild at its highest spice level but was still good. It had great acidity, spice and unami in each bite. I can't wait to come back and try different things on the menu! read more

I've been hearing great things about Mona's for a while now. I ordered some curry and coconut shrimp for lunch one day and was pretty pleased. The curry was a generous portion size with lots of flavorful chicken and a nice combination of spices. It wasn't very spicy though so I wish it had a little more heat. The coconut shrimp were absolutely delicious. Super crunchy! I'd probably get the shrimp again but next time, I definitely need to order the pho. I know that's what they're known for and I think the pho will probably blow me away a lot more than the curry did. read more

I ordered the drunken noodle with chicken for lunch today. The food was great. Food was perfectly seasoned with veggies and chicken. I wish there was more veggies chicken and noodles for 15 dollars but the food was delicious. The price was expensive for the portion but the food was made well. The service was quick. I called in my order 10 mins before I arrived and the food was already done. I was in and out. The ambiance was inviting. It is a casual sit down restaurant with a calm atmosphere. Went to Mona's yesterday Food was good no complaints i guess noodles were no were near Al dente very over cooked but broth was amazing. I spent 100 bucks me and my boyfriend. We got three bottles soju we had a ball. My server was unattentive rude and very very STEREOTYPICAL. A black young couple she was trying to bill us before offer dessert any other drinks anythingg. I have a newborn a 3 month old I stepped out because it was my first time away from my baby she assumed I ran out on the bill . She said it to my boyfriend she was rude short never came to our table I still tipped her 10 percent when I never tip under 20. I am from Virginia Beach I was looking at home to purchase that day and stopped there because I love Vietnamese fusion. Spectacular! I've been to a lot of restaurants but this restaurant won me over upon first visit. It's cute, not a lot of seating indoors so either reserve or sit outside. The staff are super nice. They go above and beyond. The Bao Bao is made by an actual grandmother of one of the servers. You can tell it was made with love. The food is absolutely delicious. I'm at a loss for words. Took a stroll down The Avenue for fresh air & exercise and got hungry. Omg stumbled in this spot expecting a regular noodle spot and it is sooo much more! The music, the bar, the staff, the owner, the vibe, the decore- all of it just felt good. Had the Beef Pho, Pad Veggie, Chicken Pad Thai, and spring rolls and every single dish was perfect! Mona's is a cute little place right on the avenue in Hampden. It's a mix of Thai and Vietnamese with an emphasis on soups but with other staples like noodles and fried rice as well. I stopped by on a very cold day and the friendly staff recommended the pho (Vietnamese traditional beef noodle soup). It was very good, especially on a cold day. The portion was reasonable, not huge, but for $12 it was certainly fair. It comes with bean sprouts, lime and Jalapeño on the side and the tables have hoisin sauce and a couple of spicy chili oil options. Beware, these are VERY spicy. I like spice and have a decent tolerance for it but even a small spoonful brought my pho up from mild to scorching. I still liked it but if you are sensitive to spice I would stay away. The meet was good, a bit tough but not bad. The broth was the star though for sure. The interior of the place is cute and it looks out into the avenue. It wasn't crowded when I was there and everyone was attentive and welcoming. I look forward to going back to try more of their items. read more

Sorry, I got neither the "noodle" nor the popular Chicken (big thigh) Box. Next time, I will (just wasn't that hungry). Any of the 0 people that follow me know that the previous (sushi) joint here (Nori) was one of the worst known to humankind in food, atmosphere (well, they did have a jazz night) and cleanliness. But Mona's is great! Great food and great service. A couple times the female server came back to make sure I had what I needed or if I needed a spicier entree or protein. I ate outside and really enjoyed the sweet and sour Tom-kha coconut-lemongrass-lime juice and so on soup--really liked the pungent bite as the liquid love went down my throat. Wow! The Basil Eggplant and veggies with brown rice entree with 3-scale spiciness was also great. I highly recommend this new-to-the neighborhood Laotian-style take on noodles that includes lots of extra sides and proteins in addition to pho. Go pho! Come here! read more
I like Mona's! We've been a couple of times now, and I cannot resist their seafood pho with shrimp, calamari, fish balls, and mussels. (I've gotten it both times I've visited!) (My family has tried other dishes: drunken noodles, summer rolls, and Thai Red Curry, which they've enjoyed!) The service was great both times, and the restaurant itself is small, cozy, and charming. I'm sure I'll be back soon - that seafood pho is great on a cold day! read more
