Pad Thai with crabmeat add on
    Melody M.

Oh my. Ordered online and as I arrived I received a text saying was ready. Small restaurant one block from Washington monument . I ordered pad Thai with crabmeat add on and it is soooooo good. Full of flavor. Every seperate component has its own flavor. Plus Huge lumps of crabmeat. Delectable. I ordered lowest spice level and is still perfectly spicy. Just add white wine.

Amazing! Pineapple Fried Rice was delicious with the bits of tart/sweet pineapple and savory rice. The Pad Thai was great with the crunchy bean sprouts and bouncy/chewy noodles. We ordered Mango with rice and coconut cream and it was great.

First time ordering Thai... and wow, I've been missing out. Food was very fresh, delicious and so much flavor. Pork dumplings were good but pretty much cold. Overall, I'm impressed.

Well that was incredible. I really couldn't find anything wrong with that incredible meal! The Tom Ka was packed with flavor and the chicken was perfection! The Pad See Iew with crispy pork belly was scrumptious and so flavorful. I've had a lot of pork belly and this was so memorable. The Panang Curry with beef was my favorite but let's be real it was all fantastic. They were so kind and sweet! Are outaide on a beautiful Baltimore night! I look forward to trying more!

This is a small place but the food is great. The pas se ewe was really delicious. The service is great. There were customers Coming to Pick up their orders the whole time I was there!

If I could give this restaurant more stars I would. Before we get into the food deets let's chat about the young lady providing top tier customer service!!! I walked in and was greeted immediately. She offered suggestions and emphasized everything is good which I believe because honey they were busy and it smelled so good inside! I love the jazz playing. It's quite small inside so it's not necessarily room big enough for a large large group. This is a cute date night spot for lunch. I ordered the drunken noodle dish. To me for 19 bucks total (including the tip), it was spicy just how I like it and made with love. I loved the abundance of veggies. I can't wait to return to try the pineapple fried rice!!!

I ordered takeout via Yelp. My food was ready in 15 minutes. Good basil fried rice with shrimp.

I wish I could give this spot a 10. I've been looking for a go-to spot for Thai food since I moved to Baltimore 2 years. Tonight I was craving Thai food but didn't know what spot to try, as I've been dissatisfied with some of the spots I have been to here in Baltimore. I took a chance on this restaurant and ordered the Kapow Fried Rice... and boy was it good! I ordered via delivery and it was handed to me fresh, hot and smelling so yummy. Each bite was so good, with so much great flavor. I have to definitely come to this spot in person very soon.

    Pineapple fried rice with chicken

Absolutely delish. So fresh, well seasoned and a great portion size. More than enough for two people. The chicken is flavorful and the veggies are plentiful. I've also rarely had a place that adds raisins in their pineapple fried rice and it was the perfect touch of sweetness to go with the pineapple. Service was so friendly and swift. Yum. I'll be back!

I had such a good time here and the food was absolutely delicious! I can't recommend them enough. I came here for the first time on a Sunday afternoon, and I got the Pad Thai with shrimp as well as a Thai Tea. The customer service was really good, and she was so helpful and patient. There is a bit of street parking directly in front and across but it is limited-- there is a parking lot next to it, but I believe it is paid parking. There are vegan/vegetarian options where you can add tofu or dishes that don't have meat in them. The food tastes so fresh and flavorful and is reasonably priced. I can't wait to go back and I've been recommending them to family as well.

One of the highlights is the handmade noodles, which you can customize in thickness, from delicate angel hair to something as hearty as fettuccine. The menu has plenty of variety beyond soups, including dumplings, spring rolls, stir-fried noodles, and oil-tossed noodle dishes. I also tried the braised intestines on the side; while they were well-prepared, the texture wasn't quite for me--I'd probably enjoy them more if they were fried. Ordering is convenient, whether you prefer doing it in person, through the app, or at the kiosk. The space has a good number of tables for dining in, and there's even a piano if you know how to play. Overall, it's been a consistently enjoyable spot for lunch.

Lao Sze Chuan is a new-ish (open since January 2025) Sichuan restaurant that took over the space Busboys and Poets used to occupy. It's a huge space, but they did a great job renovating it, and it feels light and bright and modern - very comfortable. It's huge though - so I hope people know it's there and are ordering takeout/delivery or stopping by a for a meal in person! The service was very friendly and very fast, so it's a great spot for an in-person meal, too! Their menu is as large as the restaurant space, so there's something for everyone! They definitely have a lot of Sichuan dishes, but if you're not up for Sichuan, they have some other dishes that might fit the bill: dim sum (plenty of dumplings and buns), lo mein, fried rice, Peking duck, basil eggplant, Mongolian beef, and more... On Saturday at the restaurant, my husband and I shared a pot of white tea and a few dishes: crystal shrimp dumplings; pork soup dumplings; spicy tofu skin strips (shredded tofu skin tossed with Sichuan-style chili oil, peppercorns, and spices for a bold, numbing and spicy flavor); spicy and sour fish fillets (tender fish fillets simmered in a flavorful broth with pickled mustard greens, garlic, and Sichuan spices); a side of white rice for the fish; and red bean paste pumpkin cakes for dessert. When we ordered delivery in February, we shared: vegetable steamed dumplings; Yu-Shiang Eggplant Roll (tender eggplant braised and rolled in a traditional Sichuan Yu-Shiang sauce, offering a perfect balance of sweet, sour, savory, and spicy notes); crispy salty chicken (bite-sized chicken pieces deep-fried and seasoned with basil); salt & pepper pork chops (crispy fried pork chops tossed with onions and jalapeño peppers for a bold and savory flavor); and a side of white rice). I've enjoyed everything we've eaten (although I wouldn't recommend the crispy dishes for delivery for obvious reasons - I can't resist salt & pepper pork chops sometimes even though I know it doesn't travel the best), and I love how broad the menu is. I can't wait to return to try more of their dishes!

We entered shortly after 4 PM, which is when they open. There was no one downstairs when we entered, so we walked upstairs. When we walked upstairs, we asked the man at the bar if we could be seated because there was no one downstairs. He looked a bit flustered at first, but still ended up seating us in the same spot. I sat before near the window, which is exactly what I wanted. He immediately brought us ice, water and menus. He pointed to the specials on the menu, and gave us some time to look. We were the only people in the restaurant. Within a few minutes, he came and took our orders. Then, we waited.... For like 25 or so minutes... for the appetizer. And honestly, when they brought the duck rolls out, I was super disappointed. These were not the duck rolls I remember. These were tiny, underfilled, mostly full of the wrapper themselves, and lacking flavor. Additionally, when I placed my initial order, I asked for all of the condiments/sauces to be brought out. I asked the server again when the rolls came out, and he didn't bring them out until I asked a third time when the entrées came out. When the entrées did come out (ga tiem and crab fried rice), they left a lot to be desired. Ga tiem: bland. And to make it so bad, the vegetables served with it, were not cooked in the sauce as they normally are. They were served on the side and we're not cooked all the way. I can't really eat broccoli, so I swapped it for green beans, but I could pretty much snap the green beans in half because they were still so undercooked. Crabmeat fried rice: the fact that they cut up like three full scallion stems, barely cooked them, and tucked them under/at the base of the rice is crazy. They weren't even cooked long enough to release flavor. Also, to be in Baltimore, the amount of crab was a little embarrassing. Definitely should have been more. Overall, the rice wasn't very flavorful. Thai tea: good! Not too sweet, not too milky. You want to know what really made me mad? I asked for soy sauce, and they brought those super cheap packages that just look like black water that the cheap Chinese restaurants provide you when you get carry out. Those packets literally taste like nothing. I have been to very few Asian restaurants in my life that provide that type of soy sauce, especially when you dine in. It doesn't taste like soy sauce at all. I was incredibly disappointed. And considering the fact that I had to ask for these sauces three times, I was even more disappointed. We spent about $62 on the items above. Would I say I got my moneys worth? No would I say that I enjoyed this visit as much as I enjoyed the last? Absolutely not.

We were given the option to have our drinks served first, giving us some down time to mosey around the rest of the market with something sweet to sip on. We were notified that our food was ready, via text. We had the Curry Puff and Moo Ping Nom Sod. The Curry Puff filling was delicious, and the onion vinaigrette was essential to cut through the rich pastry. We spent most of our time in the food court mumbling through stuffed cheeks about how good the pastries were. The Moo Ping Nom Sod was good, surprisingly not as salty as other Thai restaurants. This enabled you to truly enjoy the vegetables it came with, as well as the steaming hot rice that came individually wrapped, ensuring that the rice would be soft even after opening the container.
