Had a very tasty experience at Bodhi! The space is quite small! There's a small waiting area at the bottom of a set of stairs and then a small dining area. There was one server working the entire restaurant (including the take out orders), so service was a little slow. The server was really doing his best, but it was a packed restaurant. Despite this, the food came out relatively quickly! The portion sizes were generous. The Bodhi Curry with salmon was fantastic! It comes with a side of rice to eat with the curry. The fried eggplant and chive dumpling appetizers were also crowd pleasers! Everyone loved their meals. There is plenty of street parking within walking distance! read more

The food here is good but the service left... something to be desired. It's a small space, and they were quite busy when I walked in with a small group. We waited to be seated for only 15 minutes. Our waiter took our food and drink order promptly, and we let them know we were waiting on two more but they had us order since we were ready. We let them know we wanted to split the check before we ordered. Our friends arrived shortly after, but were waiting for 20 minutes before they decided to go up to the counter to place their own order as no server was coming to our table. Our waters had been empty for just as long. All of the food ordered at once came out at different times, and as a group we waited ~45 min for all of the food to come out. Our waters were still not refilled. I ordered the summer rolls with tofu, which were really refreshing and tasty with the peanut sauce. They were quite big too. Everyone had finished and we were sitting for another half hour before my friend went to the register to order dessert. Finally, when we were ready to pay our check, we waited another 30 min before we went to the register to pay as our server was not checking on us. We did see her around and she checked on other tables, but not us. They then refused to split the check, even though we had asked them to before we ate and they had confirmed that they could. Luckily Venmo makes things easy these days. On a separate occasion I ordered delivery from them, and the pad see ew with fried tofu was tasty and generous with the tofu. I think the food here is really good, but I don't think I would dine in again purely due to the service issues I experienced. read more

Food was tasty but for cost portions are very small and very little protein. Service was difficult as we had several servers and it was hard to get someone attention. I have been a devoted customer to Bodhi Corner, and regularly recommend to others. It is our go to for Thai food in the Baltimore area. Yesterday evening we placed a pick up order, which was ready when I arrived. We had Drunken Noodles with Chicken X 2. Both mine and my daughters were extremely "dry" and without much flavor. We each had lots of noodles stuck together due to lack of "sauce", maybe 3 pieces of chicken each and one or two peppers tops and a tomato on top. My curry puffs were not included in our bag (guess I should have checked before leaving). I added the tip when signing the receipt while picking food up. $50 for two subpar entrees. Huge disappointment this time. Looking for other options in the Baltimore and surrounding area. read more

Back at Bodhi Corner! This time, I tried something new. I got the tom kha soup with tofu and the basil fried rice with chicken. The order came out to about $25 and was ready in about 20 minutes for pickup. The tom kha soup was delicious. Super flavorful and the right amount of spice. The tofu was cut into very large cubes. I ended up cutting the tofu into smaller bite sized cubes myself - kinda wish it came like this. The basil fried rice was advertised as "medium spicy". It was very good and definitely spicy (my nose was running by the time I was done my dinner). I wish the rice had more veggies. It seems like a lot of places are really skimping on the amount of veggies they're putting into their dishes. It said it came with bell pepper but only had three or four slices of bell pepper. There was also just two slices of cucumber. Pretty disappointing for a $15 dish. It was all pretty good but nothing that made me want to run back for more. It's nice having this spot nearby but I've definitely had better Thai food elsewhere in Baltimore. read more

We all left upset at the service and will not return.  I decided to give Bodi Corner another try this day because they have some of the best crab fried rice I have tasted. We decided to eat here last weekend after seeing the lights on 34th Street. On our walk to the lights, I swung in to see how busy they were. They weren't too busy and the group that was waiting for a table told me they were about to be seated. So we went on to see the lights and then came back when we were done. We walked in and was greeted and then shown to our table.  The glasses, one water bottle, menus, cutlery, and plates were all placed at the end of the table, see picture.  I jokingly but irritatedly stated, I guess I'll pass all these out.  I previously told the 3 people in my party how great my last visit here was and recommended it so I had to be the host.  We looked over the menu including drinks because I remembered during my last visit we ordered some and they were good. However, when the lady came back to our table asking if we were ready to order I said, "you mean drinks" she shortly and coldly said, "No everything. The kitchen is closing." We were so surprised of her rudeness and of not being informed when we walked in.  Her attitude was as if we were a bother. We definitely could have ate somewhere else and received way better service if we'd known this upon walking in.  I informed my son and his girlfriend we needed to order all at once and joked it off.  They had a couple of questions about the dishes and our servers responses were again short and unpleasant.  We placed our orders anyway and continued with our conversation after she left. The one bottle of water was now gone and I repeatedly looked for her but she was nowhere to be found. She came back out and started cleaning up the other tables and speaking loudly to other staff in a different language. She never once came back to check on us.  The appetizers were brung out and someone in our party mentioned that wasn't what they had asked for and was why they had asked questions but we kept it anyway. I had to ask for her to refill the water bottle two times after attempting to get her attention as she walked around the restaurant cleaning up and sweeping while we were eating. She never came back to check on us after the food came out. I still tried to make our visit pleasant because again I had suggested this place but I didn't want my guests to be uncomfortable. One of my friends had ordered the jasmine rice as a side and asked questions prior but when it came out it was only white jasmine rice. It wasn't what they expected so after trying to get out servers attention a few times even speaking to her when she refilled the bottle once but our server walked off as if she didn't hear her.  My friend had to raise her voice and speak in their language to get our servers attention. She came over and my friend proceeded to tell her they thought the rice was going to be seasoned rice and not just plain white rice and our server just stood there. She didn't offer any suggestions and my friend said can you please take this back, I don't want it. Our server took it to the kitchen spoke loudly in their language to someone else and then brought it back out throwing it on the table saying ,"you can't send it back" although nothing was ate from it.  Everyone looked at the plate thrown on the table then our server and then each other as we realized this was a bad choice. She was extremely rude and I was so taken back I didn't know what to say. I apologized to my guest and told them I didn't remember being treated this way when we first came. I was extremely embarrassed because it was my recommendation to come to Bodi Corner and the first time I had the opportunity to eat out with my son and his girlfriend. She knows that I plan a lot of events and go out to eat all the time and was expecting for this to be a great experience. We quickly ate our food and joked about the whole experience to make light of it. This is the first time that everyone decided not to leave a tip and it was sad because normally I always tip well but I was so disappointed. We will not be back to Bodi Corner and unfortunately had to tell my friends of the terrible experience. read more

I previously tried takeout from Bodhi Corner and was impressed, so I decided to go eat inside with my sister when she came to visit from out of town. It's small inside, but didn't feel too crowded and we were seated quickly. The service was great and the prices are reasonable. Great go-to Thai place in the area. Had their drunken noodle, pad see ew, and pad thai in chicken. If you're a spice fan, would highly recommend getting their drunken noodles in high spice (it's less spicy than a buldak, but will creep up on you!). I happened to be in the area and knew I needed something for lunch so I decided to place an online order to go. I ordered the drunken noodles with chicken. There was about a 20 to 30 minute wait for my food. When I arrived at Bodhi Corner, I noticed that the restaurant was quite small but it was full of customers. I gave my name and my order was ready at the quoted time. When I got home, I dug in. The drunken noodles were definitely tasty. They weren't as spicy as I'm typically used to so if you like heat, you may want to request that rather than expect it. Also, I found that the food was a little more greasy than I'm used to as well. We wanted to try a new Spot and were in Hampden and this one came up. A cosy and smaller interior-this spot is mixed in and at the corner of a residential area. Half full with a big group around 5:30. Online Pickup ordering was seamless. We ordered some apps. Shrimp rolls were very good and paired well with the pineapple sauce. Fried Tofu was a disappointment as we were expecting some type of seasoning-so a must to dip in the sauce. For main, it was Basil Fried Rice-3 pepper spicy which we enjoyed and the Crispy Pork (a must try) made this our favorite dish. Drunken Noodles with Duck was also spicy (with patches of extreme heat) and some of the best we've had. Liked they had Duck as a protein choice as this isn't always the case. Eggplant Salad with Seafood was our lighter and less spicy dish and was very good. Service was very upbeat and engaging. Our order wasn't quite ready when we arrived (we were early) and we were given an eta with a smile. Happy we gave them a try and we will be back! read more

Had a delightful lunch here with a friend. Really enjoyed it. Had a appetizer of SHRIMP ROLLS (4) $10 ..crispy jumbo shrimp in a light wrapper with pineapple sauce. Very tasty. I had KAO NA PED ($19) sliced roasted duck breast served over Jasmine rice with Chinese broccoli, pickled ginger, cucumber, homemade soybean sauce & sweet soy sauce on the side. It was very good. Duck was delicious but cooked just a tad longer than I prefer. I would order again but ask that the duck be finished a little earlier. My friend had a YELLOW CURRY with vegetables, turmeric yellow curry, potato, carrot, fried red onion. It was a classic Thai curry. Just sweet and spicy enough. The Singha beer was perfect to round out our order. The menu has many tempting selections to choose from. I'm looking forward to returning soon! read more

I've been wanting to try Bodhi for a while. I finally decided to give it a 'go' and try delivery. I will say, they have a very good papaya salad. As someone that enjoys a good meal, this wasn't memorable. I was so frustrated with the flavors, I neglected taking any pics. Anyway, here were my choices... 1) Summer Basil Rolls: Rice wrapper roll stuffed with cashew, lettuce, carrot, cucumber, mint, basil, cilantro served with peanut sauce and homemade basil vinaigrette (2). This was a disappointment. I don't know, because I didn't make it, but I didn't taste mint, basil, cashew or cilantro. It was incredibly bland w/ a strip of avocado, a strip of cucumber, lots of lettuce and carrot. I could have rolled avocado in a couple pieces of lettuce, myself. This dish was a BIG MISS! ZERO FLAVOR! CRIME!!! 2) Papaya Salad: Medium spicy - Green papaya, tomato, green beans, carrot, peanut, garlic, fresh chili, lettuce, lime juice, fish sauce. This was so incredibly tasty. Not too hot. Not too sweet. Really nice flavor. Crisp papaya and well flavored veggies. This is a winner! Heck, this side was the star of the entire meal. SCORE!! 3) Drunken Noodles: Medium spicy - Stir fried wide rice noodle with chili paste, red bell pepper, garlic, onion, basil, tomato. Not bad. Not good. Also, not memorable. I've visited Bodhi corner quite a few times over the past few years but recently went back again after a long break! Bodhi Corner has a very calming and relaxing atmosphere, with dim lighting and very kind waiters. It is located on the busy streets of Hampden, so entering the restaurant is a completely different vibe. We ordered the fried wontons as an appetizer, which came with a sweet, sticky pineapple dipping sauce and were filled generously with shredded shrimp and chicken. I've tried other appetizers here in the past, including the fried tofu and chicken satay, but this was my favorite by far. If you feel like being bougie, you can also get the steamed mussels, which are listed as a special appetizer--which were absolutely delicious! They came with a tangy and spicy lime sauce and came with a pretty reasonable serving size as well. For the actual meal, we had the Kao soi with chicken and the Pink Bowl. While I wish it were possible to adjust spiciness since I didn't think it was as spicy as I wanted it to be, they both had very complex and deep broth flavors, and came with generous amounts of meat. Sometimes broths can taste similar at restarants, and that was definitely not the case here--the pink bowl had an almost tangy flavor, whereas the Kao soi leaned more savory and spicy. Of course we also had to get the thai teas, which were sweet and refreshing. I did think the prices could be a little expensive, and the food quality sometimes varies visit-to-visit, but generally Bodhi corner is a fantastic place to visit when around the Hampden area! Got beef drunken noodles for take out and there were literally only three tiny shred like pieces of beef no bigger than a pinky nail in my order. The remainder just limp soggy noodles without the slightly chewy texture drunken noodles should have. And a couple abnormally large pieces of red pepper. Dined in once months ago and the pad Thai was serviceable but I feel like they deliberately skimp on the normal amount of protein on carryout orders; yelp photos of the beef drunken noodles for dine in show much more beef than mine did. We got takeout. The mango salad was really good, as were the summer basil rolls, which came with this amazing basil sauce. Neither were like anything I've had before, and made me understand why this is considered one of the best Thai restaurants in Bmore. I also liked the tom kha and the coconut custard, which came in these little ceramic bowls that we got to keep. Things were just spicy enough that I could handle them. The pad thai was actually the weakest dish. The taste was not my favorite, and it didn't have that many fun things on it like chopped peanuts. As a celiac, I thought it was super cool that on the take-out menu, the default is that things can be made gluten-free, and they only specify what cannot be made GF. I ordered a crispy duck salad. The menu did not note this but all of their duck has gluten in it. They called me to explain and I changed it to the mango salad, which they let me make a little less spicy. As someone who has had experiences feeling sick after eating Thai food at other restaurants that was labeled GF, I am happy to report that I felt totally fine after eating this food. I did make sure not to eat anything deep-fried, since I imagine the fryer is contaminated, and things like the chive dumpling, which has deep-fried chives, could be an issue. Had an amazing dinner here! No reservations, but go early and you should have no issues getting a table. Everything was made to order and came out piping hot. Authentic Thai flavors, kept me wanting more. The tom kha (with veg) was delicious. Just the right balance of sour and savoury. The Massaman curry was one of the tastiest we've had. RUN! Not away, but towards Bodhi Corner. I treated myself to some Thai food after a grueling week of final exams, and I'm so happy I ordered from this restaurant. I ordered through GrubHub and I was able to modify my order without any issues (i.e. I added tofu, asked for no fish sauce, and asked for a higher spice level). I had a great delivery driver and did not experience any issues with my order. Great communication channels all around! On to the good part-- the food! I ordered spring rolls with avocado as an appetizer. Firstly, these rolls are ENORMOUS and there's 2 of them! They are wrapped tightly and they come with two sauces: a peanut one, and a sweeter green sauce (not actually sure what it is!). 1000% would order from here again for the spring rolls alone. I also ordered a yellow curry, which comes with onions, potato, and carrot. I added tofu as well. It came with a side of brown rice. When I order this next time, I will also add vegetables in addition to the tofu. I also think I would order this dish a bit spicier! I would say go up a spice scale to get the spice level that's actually desired (but this is just my experience). I'll definitely order from Bodhi Corner again, exams or not! I checked this place out with a friend the other night. For a Sunday evening, it was absolutely packed. It took us a few minutes to get seated because there were so many guests and people coming in for pick up orders, but we were lucky enough to snag the last table for two. I ordered the shrimp rolls and played Russian roulette by letting my server recommend his favorite dish and bring it to me. I'm not sure what I had to be honest, but it was decent. The flavors didn't wow me, but it was a solid meal. I washed it down with a Thai iced tea which was a perfect blend of flavors. I would come back here and try something else. read more

The sa tey's dipping sauce was flavorful: the peanut sauce was sweet and goes really well with the chicken, the cucumber sauce was refreshing with a hint of pickle and sweetness to it. I ended up dipping back and forth between the dipping sauce, enjoying the refreshments between each dip. My favorite dish was the kao soi because I love the curly and chewy noodles that soaks up the curry soap. (There are already noodles in the soup. I soaked the hard looking noodles after I ate most of the noodles. Not sure if this is the correct way to eat them, but it was still delicious) The sour/pickled veggies was also a wonderful add on to the soup since it help "cuts" the heavy taste of curry and makes you want to just finish the whole bowl. The tofu were also delicious and help balanced out the curry soup. My friend ordered the duck kra prow and the duck was so juicy with its outside being crispy. The sauce was also packed with flavor and highlights the duck. Personally, I think they could add a little bit more sauce, but I also understand they probably don't want to soak the duck. Overall, I think I found my new favorite Thai restaurant in the city. I would definitely visit this place again with more friends. Excited to try out different food next time read more

To preface, Drunken noodles are my life (please read in "Chipotle is my life" kid's voice). Thai spicy is next level and totally my jam. I wanted to give Bodhi, which is locally owned and known to be authentic, a try. We actually arrived during their mid day break and chilled on the Avenue waiting until they reopened for the day at 4:30pm. Yes, it was that serious! The menu is on the smaller side, but had their noodle dishes and curries front and center. My brain really wanted to try the khao soi, but my stomach said drunken noodles. When the dish came out, I was a bit... disappointed. Don't get me wrong, it was definitely tasty, but the portion was childsized. We finished our food in five minutes, with some change to spare. It was absolutely authentic, but they went pretty easy handed on the spice. I had to ask for a spice rack to really bring out that oomph. Service was friendly, seemed like they were busy with takeout orders, which is great for them. There are a few tables for outdoor dining, but we opted to sit indoors. It is a very small space and tables aren't quite six feet apart. Not sure I would order their drunken noodles again (we ate somewhere else afterwards), but will return for the noodle dishes. read more

After having wanted to try Bodhi Corner for a long time we recently came her for dinner. Overall we liked it and would go back. Service was very friendly and they had nice outdoor seating. I thought that the sidewalk location of their tables might make them noisy but it was actually pretty quiet and the noise from Chestnut St wasn't an issue. The Bangkok Whiskey Sour on their menu made me curious so I ordered one to try it. It was decent but too sweet for my taste. There was nothing objectively wrong with it, I'm just not a fan of sweet cocktails. For food we got the Kao Soi and and the Ba Mee. The Kao Soi was a very good dish that I'd happily get again but I thought the Ba Mee was kind of bland. It actually had some good flavors but they were just too subtle. I think we made a mistake by getting two noodle dishes. This place has a more diverse menu than most Thai restaurants in the area and we should have taken advantage of that. I'm planning on coming some day and giving some of their other dishes a try. read more
