This was exactly what I needed after all these rainy days. I ordered the crispy tofu, [soup name; chicken] and one of the specials, Khao ka [finish name]. The special was pretty good, but I'm biased towards any form of braised pork fat, lol. The crispy tofu was super crispy and was served with this sweet and spicy sauce. Definitely a sharing sized portion but that didnt stop me from plowing through. My favorite, as always whenever I order Thai, was the soup. Loved the stewed tomatoes and cute little mushrooms. The Thai tea portions here are also generous as long as you dine in. Definitely a higher quality than my usual go-to Thai spot. I will absolutely be coming back. The hostess was very polite and patient with me, especially since I came in on a whim. The inside is very welcoming and makes good use of the small space. I'd recommend dinning in, but it seems that most customers order out. It's a shame, there's an ice-cream shop across the street and is on a stretch of York road that makes for a pretty decent walk. read more

Drove by here a million times, and glad I decided to stop in. We ordered the crab fried rice, pad Thai, wings & the crab rangoon. The wings & rangoon were really good, and my wife's crab fried rice was good as well. I didn't care for the pad Thai, but that was more on me, not caring much for the peanut flavor. This restaurant replaced Nana, and has the same owner as The Dara and Bodhi Corner, focusing on Thai street food. The host was super kind and friendly, and welcomed us even though the kitchen was supposed to be on break soon. They added some nice tables and chairs in the space, whereas it used to just be bar seating. They have some nice and healthy plants along the window that added to the nice decor. We ordered a Thai Iced Tea, Longan Drink, Chive Dumpling, Chicken Satay, Chicken Pad See Ew, and Stewed Beef Tiew Noodle. Everything was great and delicious. They will be opening up a location in Canton so I'm looking forward to that. We would definitely come back. read more

Finally tried Charm Thai. They've been open 5 months or so. It's a cute little place right near The Charmery. The staff are very friendly and we walked in and sat easily at 5:30pm. The prices are very reasonable and the food was delicious. We tried the fried tofu, edamame, pork dumplings and chicken satay appetizers. All were great. The dumplings were really something special. They aren't like any other dumplings I've had and they come with lettuce cups and a delicious coconut sauce. We had the pad Thai and pad see ew, also delicious. Great prices and great food. Found this spot while Googling for a Thai place near the movie theater, and I'm so glad I did. It was cozy, quaint, warm, and welcoming from the moment I walked in. I was dining alone, and even with a few larger tables there, I felt completely comfortable. There's something about a place that gets the energy right without trying too hard. The decor was simple but intentional ....classic leather kitchenette style chairs in rich brown and army green tones, music softly pumping in the background. Nothing overdone. Just... on point. And the food? Excellent from beginning to end. The chive dumplings were flavorful and paired perfectly with the sauce. The texture caught me a little off guard at first, but in the best way ...comforting, fresh, and delicious. The num tok beef salad was beautifully seasoned with just the right amount of heat. Balanced, flavorful, and addictive. And the fried branzino special and veggies ...Chef's kiss. I was told they've only been open about six months, but everything felt polished and thoughtful already. Honestly, I almost hate giving such a glowing review because I don't want y'all taking my spot. But credit where it's due: excellent, excellent, excellent. i'll definitely be back. read more

Great little neighborhood joint serving up Thai favorites. We've been in a few times now and everything has been wonderful. They do a lot of carry out and the high tops are for walk ins. The tables are often reserved so call ahead if you're able. The owner is often at the front of house and is very welcoming. The whole space is warm and welcoming. Dinner was delicious and I do love a mango sticky rice! read more

Absolutely great and wonderful service. Very small in size but the food was top notch and the ambiance was quaint.

Nice folks and food was quick, but the food was a bit disappointing. Also, the Drunken Noodles, one of only two dishes on the menu marked with TWO chile peppers, weren't spicy at all; the Thai fried rice was spicier, and it's not marked as spicy at all. It's serviceable and convenient, but you have better options for Thai in the area, and it's not inexpensive. (NOT unreasonably priced! But competitively priced alternatives are better.) read more

After a few months, I gave CTC a second try yesterday, this time doing takeout. The order was ready on time, and it was encouraging to see every seat in the restaurant filled. Service was friendly as ever. I had Tom Kha soup--very flavorful but could have had more mushrooms and other ingredients as advertised. It was mainly broth with the protein. The Pad Garlic was a 4 out of 5; it also needed more broccoli or other vegetables to complement the chicken, and the garlic flavor didn't come through as expected. Larger portions and a price point that's $2+ less would make a difference. read more

I wanted to love this place. I came here when it first opened and ordered the kao soi. It was good but didn't taste like kao soi. It tasted like red curry with extra red curry. Good red curry but still, not kao soi. When I came back, I ordered pad see ew. It was greasy, no char. Barely any egg. Barely any gai lan. Chicken was tasteless. I had to throw it out. Everything about $5 more than other area Thai places. Not worth it. read more

The Thai Basil Kra Prow was fresh and filling, but it lacked rich flavor of other Thai places in the area (see Chok Chai in Parkville). It's not that the food was bad; it was just forgettable. We'll try a few more dishes in the future. One more note: Spicy is NOT spicy. 4/5 spiciness was barely distinguishable from the mild 2/5. read more

I got the green curry with chicken and mild spice level, which was delicious. It was the perfect size and I was very full after. The dish was a little spicer than I expected since I got the lowest spice level but not too spicy for me and still tasted very good. The seating area is very cute. Weren't sure what to expect, but left very excited about this new Thai restaurant (we found out later, a sister location to Bodhi Corner in Hampden). The food was very good and we just enjoyed sitting at the window seating and taking in the outside scenery. As we enjoyed our meal, Thai chatter could be heard from the kitchen - were we in Stoneleigh or someplace more exciting. This is a casual choice for mainly take away orders. There are a few tables and chairs inside, but not a destination for a dinner like Villagio's, a block away. Thai Charm is in the space once occupied by a taco joint that served outrageously expensive tacos and tasteless roast chicken. I decided to give Thai Charm a try since it is one of my favorite cuisines and two blocks from my house. There is no lunch menu, so I paid $56 for a soup, spring rolls and two entrees at 2:30 pm. Yes, that is pretty insane. Especially when a great Chinese carryout is literally two blocks away and can give you that same amount of food for less than $20 for lunch. Everything I ordered was tasty, but my Ka Prow entree, which was at $18 was severely lacking in quantity, which is pathetic for the price. Fuji San in Cockeysville does Ka Prow for $15 and is totally full inside the same plastic container. I hope the management reads this and adjusts accordingly since I want this place to last a good while. The current prices will get out pretty fast in this neighborhood along with the lack of value and sink this place pretty quickly. read more

I do not like leaving bad reviews. I usually just don't leave a review if a small business is bad but.... This was pretty awful. The flavor was weird, the portions were tiny for the price (doesn't really matter because we all threw our food away after eating a little bit anyway), there was chicken in my tofu pad thai, husband said the teriyaki chicken was full of gristle and had a strange texture... I really can't think of much to say that isn't negative. I feel so guilty leaving this review but others in the neighborhood should know what they're getting themselves into. read more
