However, looks can be deceiving. We were seated in a small but clean dining area just beyond the bar. Surprisingly, the four of us had the entire restaurant to ourselves, which made for a relaxed and comfortable dining experience. The wait staff was friendly, attentive, and very helpful in answering our questions about the menu. We started with two appetizers--the fried tofu and vegetable rolls--which arrived quickly and were absolutely delicious. As someone who loves spicy food, I can confidently say this Thai restaurant did not disappoint. For our entrées, I ordered the Pad Kaprow with chicken, my daughter chose the Khao Soi, my son had the Pad Thai with shrimp, and my husband enjoyed the Massaman Beef Curry. Every dish was flavorful, beautifully prepared, and packed with authentic taste. We were genuinely blown away by both the quality of the cuisine and the exceptional service. To complement my meal, I ordered the Soulless Mule, which perfectly enhanced the bold, spicy flavors of my dish. This restaurant exceeded our expectations in every way. Admittedly attended after seeing this restaurant pop up on my feed. Attempting to expand our date night selections and craving Thai we thought why not! I enjoyed the small quaint atmosphere as well as the time to speak with one of the owners and see a few children enjoying time hanging out in their basement level. Located right by Patterson Park, this is a solid spot for Thai food. We ordered the panang curry and drunken noodles, both of which were good but not mind-blowing. Portion sizes were a bit smaller than expected for the price as well. Service was on the slower side despite not being too busy, and we were missing utensils for a while after our dishes were delivered. Otherwise plenty of indoor seating including bar seating. We stopped in with another couple on a whim for a quick dinner on a Saturday and we had a pleasant experience! There was no wait and the server was attentive and helped us with recommendations. Ambiance was nice and had that Baltimore feel to it. It was decently busy as it was a Saturday. The food was chefs kiss! We started with dumplings and spare ribs- ribs were deliciously spicy and our friends said the dumplings were the best they ever had. For entrees we had khao soi and beef red curry. I've ordered Pad Thai twice with several months between. Both orders were overcooked noodles and just a sticky ball of mess and impossible to eat and was discarded . I called the restaurant to inform them but the manager would not call me back nor do I think the owner was informed. Insult to injury, the dish was to be Pad Thai with beef--I could only find three pieces of beef. Twenty-two dollars is a lot for sticky overcooked noodles. If the owner is not informed, the staff is doing a disservice to the restaurant and not giving the chef an opportunity to make it right. The bill was $65+ for a simple night of at home dining; ie, Pad Thai as main course with a couple of appetizers for two. There must be respect for the clients who keep a restaurant afloat. Reporting a bad dish should be accepted as an opportunity to improve. read more

It's super cold right now, so instead of going in, we did Grubhub. One of our family members has a shellfish allergy, so I made a note to be careful of cross-contamination. About your place in the order, I got a phone call from someone at the restaurant just verifying that their procedure for avoiding cross-contamination was sufficient. So awesome! Mayuree has become one of my favorite restaurants for takeout/delivery in the city. Everything I've ordered has been really good (steamed dumplings, Gai Klook Foon, Larb Gai, crab and cheese wontons, Mango with Sticky Rice, and Sweet Sticky Rice) - so good that I haven't tried too much of the menu yet, sticking with these dishes! When I had family visiting who loves Thai food, I figured I would take them to Mayuree for dine in! The dining room is up the half stair in the back. It's casual and cozy - no complaints. I'm a creature of habit to I got the pad Thai per usual and I was impressed with the presentation (compared to in a carry out box). My family got a delicious sweet fried shrimp dish (pictured) and a spicy curry dish. Everyone loved their meal and the service was fast. Although the servers addressed my every need, the food was a big disappointment. The curry was very bland, rice was mushy (too much water when cooking) and chicken was very dry. The papaya salad was also disappointing. Papaya should have a stiff and crunchy texture with the hint of vinegar cutting any oils from other dishes. It seemed as if none of these characteristics of papaya salad were present. The papaya was flimsy, old, and lacked crunch. In addition, the papaya dressing was sour from an overpowering amount of vinegar. If you come to this restaurant, I can only recommend their Pad Thai. Although the chicken was extremely dry in the Pad Thai, the sauce and flavor itself was good. Most restaurants rely on ketchup for an easy way to make a Pad Thai sauce, but this place seemed to utilize more authentic spices to pack a punch in flavor. One aspect I really liked was that Mayuree provides a bar area for quick drinks. It seemed like they have a few beers on tap. On the other hand, if you want to sit down and be more intimate, you have an area to sit and dine. Ultimately, I cannot recommend this place for good Thai food, but if you do come here, I would recommend the Pad Thai with a protein other than chicken. read more

I got the Drunken Noodles with beef at the Spicy level, and it was delicious. The green beans had a nice crispiness, and overall, everything was excellent. I ordered take out - veggie spring rolls, tom kha, and pad see ew. The spring rolls were really good, the time kha was ok, but the pad see ew was the nail in the coffin for me. The noodles were fine but there's this almost charred flavor and there was this little pile of seasoning in the middle of the container that freaked me out. I sniffed it to make sure it wasn't ash or something weird (I do think it's just seasoning), but it the me for a loop. The tofu wasn't great either. Overall if, I could give a more specific score, it would be 2.75. There were redeeming things about all of the dishes but it wasn't good enough for me to go back and that seasoning is just visually unappealing. I'll be throwing the pad see ew away. read more

Since I moved to Bmore from Boston I've been having a bit of trouble finding decent Asian food that doesn't break my wallet while tasting good. It's cool that there is a bar. My boyfriend loved the sauce that the spring rolls came with. The chicken satay was good, albeit, kinda small but for $8 definitely worth it. Had the Tom Kha Soup and found it to be less flavorful than others but still good. Then we had the Pad Thai with chicken and Pad See Yew with pork. Both were great, the meats weren't dry and they were very flavorful. I do feel the portions are kind of small but that seems to be the case in all of Bmore. And we still had leftovers anyway because of all the apps we got. I do wish they used Chinese broccoli for the Pad See Yew but it was still delicious nonetheless. Had a Thai Ice Tea and it was great! We came in on a quiet Tuesday evening and were seated right away. The place is very dark and unassuming. We were given water immediately and the server came and gout our drink orders. We were able to catch happy hour and I had a lychee fizz, it was great. My boyfriend enjoyed a draft Asahi. Our first course were the spring rolls and papaya salad which we modified to be less spicy. Both were so delicious. On to entrees, I had the Crispy Pork and he had the Mammasan beef Curry. I liked my entree but his was even better. The curry was great but we both felt like it would taste even better if there were more sauce. Then for dinner I had to order my favorite, mango with sweet sticky rice and it didn't disappoint. In San Francisco or New York, Mayuree would be a solid 3 stars but in Baltimore, with a serious dearth of really excellent Thai Food, it earns 4. To be fair, I've never eaten inside the restaurant but have had takeout a few times and most recently ordered a variety of dishes for a group of 7. Some restaurants have a few stellar items and some mediocre ones. To Mayuree's credit, I would say that pretty much everything is good to very good. Not amazing, knock your socks off, but definitely enjoyable. We started with the dumplings, crab and cheese wontons and veggie spring rolls. All were solid. The spring rolls and wontons come with a nice, homemade sweet and sour sauce that is much better than the sticky, gooey stuff that comes in packets. At $9 for 5 or 6 dumplings and $8 for a similar number of quite small wontons, it's a bit overpriced, but not ridiculously so. We got all 3 noodle dishes, the pad thai, pad see ew and drunken noodles. The pad thai, as is usual for pad thai, was very stuck together by the time it arrived. The flavor was okay, but not amazing. The best was the pad se ew, quite flavorful and well done with crispy broccoli and well cooked shrimp. The drunken noodles were also good but quite spicy so beware. We also had the Prik King Crispy Pork which is pork belly, fried and breaded in a gluten free breading and then stir fried with green beans and bell peppers. It was very good and not too spicy. We also had the panang curry with shrimp which was a bit bland and quite a small portion. The curry sauce was very thin and could have used flavoring and reducing to thicken it up and concentrate the flavors. We also had the pad krapow which was reasonably good. If I were to order again, which I definitely will at some point, I would get the pad se ew in a heartbeat, any of the appetizers, and the pork belly dish. I'd also be happy to try other things as nothing was really bad and everything was at least decent if not quite good. read more

I discovered Mayuree Thai Tavern via Uber eats. It had good ratings and I was in the mood for some good Thai food. I didn't have high expectations. I was blown away by the bold and authentic flavor once I tried my food, completely exceeded my expectations. My favorites include the Thai ice tea, chicken satay, green curry and the massaman beef curry. The peanut sauce that comes with the chicken satay is absolutely delicious, I ask for extra every time. Make sure to eat your food slow, there are some many spices within the dish that are non-edible e.g Star anise and cinnamon sticks. This is definitely one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Baltimore. read more

Idk I feel like this could easily just be my opinion so I think it's worth checking out Mayuree if you haven't! We got the steamed dumplings, crab and cheese wontons, spring rolls, pad Thai with shrimp, and panang curry with beef. Looking back I'm having a hard time believing we were able to eat all this food between 2 people, but I do remember that it didn't actually feel like a lot, so take from that what you will. The steamed dumplings were truly tasty in my opinion. The wontons were so so, which sucks because I have such a soft spot (and I'm sure this is a popular opinion) for crab rangoon/wonton type dishes. The pad Thai was standard but I was happy with how many shrimp pieces there were, and the bean sprouts tasted fresh since they were separated out rather than mixed in or sprinkled on top (love some good bean sprouts!) I was probably the most disappointed in the panang curry, it just didn't taste right to me and again the amount was small, so I don't recommend ordering this. Honestly I'll probably be back to Mayuree and I'm half expecting to really like it the second time around or totally hate it.. time will tell! read more

I came with my best friend a few weeks ago and I enjoyed being there. We ordered a few drinks and some food. The food was pretty good and we had a small hiccup with the crab ragoons. They were a little undercooked (the dough was soft in the middle). The taste wasn't the best either, I felt like they were really fishy tasting & were a little runnier than what I'm used to. Ordered take out, was ready within 20 mins. Wife went inside to pickup; no greeting from staff, not a single word. She said hello and told them she was there to pickup under my name, staff member turned around, grabbed order and handed to her. Maybe he was having a bad day or is just unfriendly. Anyway upon opening the order it looked quite lackluster. But the flavors were pretty good! The cashew chicken was quite bland, though. The Tom yum was flavorful and soothing. The dumplings were very densely filled and the sauce was great. Beware of the Thai chilies in the drunken noodles - those aren't all bell peppers! The rice was unspectacular and not my favorite. I prefer traditional white steamed rice. All in all, convenient and quick, not a memorable dining experience. Not sure I would try them again unless I was in the area. read more

It was the best kept secret EVER to make traditional Pad Thai using only water (and tamarind juice)!! It was the most delicious Pad Thai I have ever had in the States!!! I've had almost every dish on the menu, but I'll list a few of my favorites: Appetizers: crab and cheese wonton, spring roll, veggie roll, and garden rolls. All great choices, you can't go wrong! This is a hidden gem in Baltimore and I'm sad I just found out about it. We walked but I bet it wouldn't be too awful to find parking. The place is a nice size with bar and table service. They have a decent beer selection. But the food is beyond!! We both got soups the Tom yum and the Tom Kha. It's probably the best Tom Kha I've ever had! The garden rolls were fresh and lite. The tofu tod was fried and had a sweet and tangy sauce that went with it. The drunken noodles were spicy and such a large portion we shared and couldn't finish it. I will come here again and again. This is cute Thai spot close to Patterson in Park. Very reasonably priced and then noodles have the perfect amount of spice. I'm sure you could get mild if you needed it, but I had the regular spice with mine. We ordered the drunken noodles and the pad see yew. My favorite was the pad see yew. The portions were pretty good, we had three people, but we split two noodle orders since we were going to get ice cream after. They have a couple of tables for outdoor seating, but they also had an indoor area. The outdoor tables were a bit small, I would not recommend more than two people to a table but even then it might be tight. They are open for take out though, so that is a great option to support a small business and eat at the park! read more
