Chicken Lo Mein

We don't eat out often as we don't have money like that but today we chose Hao Chi based on the reviews. I wish we had gone elsewhere We ordered $70 worth of food for pickup and left a $10 tip. Out of all the food we purchased, all of the chicken was too dry to eat, the dumplings were burned to a crisp and sent out anyways, the noodles in the lo mein were dry and crispy. When asked for house mustard, they had none, when asked for chili oil they gave us chili sauce. And only 4 packs of soy sauce and 4 packs of mustard were given for a family of 4 . Terrible place I would not recommend. The chef has absolutely no pride in their food whatsoever. I truly hope they see this and stop giving this garbage to people. This is not Chinese food, this isn't even food. Absolutely terrible

Vegetable Lo Mein (w/extra mushrooms) takeout.

I'm always on the quest for good takeout, and after seeing this place recommended on my delivery app for the 100th time I decided to finally try it out. I ordered the vegetable lo mein (with extra mushrooms so I could qualify for free delivery) and it was pretty good! Nothing crazy remarkable, but solid Chinese takeout which is something everyone needs. The veggies were all fresh, the noodles and seasoning were tasty, and it arrived hot! No complaints at all.

I sadly have not found a good Chinese place in Baltimore as be generous to rate the best as 3 stars until now. Only got once as delivery on Xmas and came quickly. Food was good as not overly greasy, decent serving size and Good flavor. For those that like it spicy mine was not even with eating the peppers. Will order again.

S7. Orange Chicken

The orange chicken here is extremely tasty! I can tell the sauce is made from scratch. I would have loved a little more heat, so I may ask for extra chili next time. The combination fried rice wasn't bad! I think there could have been more seasoning added, but I'll definitely be ordering from this spot again. Thank you!

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! I've ordered from here a few times and always get the same thing, beef lo mein and sweet and sour chicken. I'll start off by saying the beef lo mein is very good. Unfortunately, this time the sweet and sour chicken was the worst it's ever been. Half of the the fried dough did not even have any chicken. The pieces that did include chicken had thin strips not even whole pieces of chicken. Pictures show the whole story. I called the restaurant to see if they could rectify the situation and was greeted with the worst customer service ever. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Definitely the best Chinese in the area. Best prices too. Opened late, which depending on the day in Fells- this may be the latest open, with convenience and best prices. (We've tried everything in Canton, surrounding Fells area) Quickly prepared, tasty Chinese take out! Very nice. Definitely beats any other Chinese in all surrounding areas, will quickly become top rated .

Solid Chinese locally in Fells Point... reminds me of the Carry Outs in DC. It's what you would expect. Nothing more, nothing less...

Steamed dumplings and orange chicken were excellent. However, the Kung pao chicken was overly salted.

Neighborhood chicken bowl mild: delicious the chicken breading is crispy and has the perfect curry taste without being overpowering. The pickled veggies with it is a great palate cleanser and balances all the flavors. I got it mild and while I was nervous of the spice level being too much for me (I'm a weenie) it was perfect, the kind of spice that actually adds to the dish instead of hurting you. Tempura broccoli: So good! Crunchy without being oily, it had a bunch of herbs on it the brightened the whole dish. Ancho chile pork bun: perfectly smokey and meaty without being fatty. This one we really struggled to eat as an actually sandwich because the pork is cubed so it just falls out the sides. The buns are a fun addition and have good texture so I'm happy we tried it, but if I went back I would be fine without it. Crab Rangoon: I was a bit skeptical about 1 crab Rangoon being $10 but that is because o was thinking of my midwestern type of crab rangoons. This was PACKED with actual crab and not a whole lot of cream cheese so the price made more sense when I figured that out. Still very good, but did not stand out amongst the rest. The place was so cool inside, they had about 7-10 bar seats inside with 2 tables outside, I recommend taking this to go. The service was nice and quick, you can tell they have a very efficient process. My only suggestion would be to turn the music down a little bit because it was hard for me and my husband to just talk to each other about plans that we had for the rest of the day. So happy this was featured on the yelp top 100 places so that we could try it!

I ordered two main dishes and was originally told it would take about 15 minutes, but it ended up taking double that, so just keep that in mind if you're in a rush like we were. The space itself is pretty small too, so it's more of a grab and go place. The Neighborhood Bird bowl was a HUGE portion. It was kind of spicy but the pickled onions helped even it out. I also tried the ancho chile pork bun. The bun itself tasted amazing, but it was a bit difficult to eat. The bottom got pretty soggy while the top bun was thick and tall, so it kind of fell apart while eating.

Doesn't matter the location, my order remains the same. A Tofu Bun, Tempura Broccoli, Tofu Bowl and Tofu Nuggets. The food was on point (as it always is). I was a bit saddened to see the note at the register that the Buns that are currently being served are not vegan due to a manufacturing issue. I'm not sure it mentions this when ordering online (if it doesn't, it should). Thankfully the bun is for my wife and she isn't the vegan. Love that this location offers a breakfast sandwich, something unique that the other locations don't offer. It isn't vegan or even vegetarian friendly but cool that they have their own thing happening here. I was doing take out so seating didn't matter but this location offers a similar amount of seats as the Fells Point location (meaning super limited space). Definitely smaller than Hampden, the location I most frequently visit. Anyways, Ekiben is my wife and I's favorite and this location did nothing to diminish that.

Now for the Maryland softie, my first bite was heavenly (full of the crab-cake and remoulade), but as I kept eating it, I realized I would've just preferred it with just crab cake, not the soft shell too. Was it worth the hype? kind of. It's pricey so maybe one and done for me. Now the crab Rangoon egg roll, that was a miss for me. It is cheesy and filled with imitation crab, but too small for me at the price point. And I didn't find it super tasty personally. My sister who is also a yelp elite had a totally different take and loves it, so maybe it's subjective. I did have it 4 hours (put it in air-fryer) after I got it so maybe eating it super fresh is the difference. Space is limited so better for carryout, and the person taking my order was friendly. It'll probably take 20-30 mins for your order to come out, depending on how many people there are and pickup orders they have to complete. Overall, this place is a Maryland staple at this point and anyone who visits MD should 100% try and check out their famous fried chicken, whether as a bao sandwich or a rice bowl.

I did hear a lot of people get take out here instead and it does get busier over the weekend. They provide happy hour throughout the restaurant. I got a glass of their house wine and my friend got a non-alcoholic beer. We shared the Lotus Root and Giaow Pak (dumplings). The dumplings were room temperature but still good. We loved the fried lotus root which was delicious! For my main entree I got Pad Si Eew with chicken. I love that they put Chinese broccoli instead of regular broccoli. Such a great dish and my friend enjoyed his Mama with tofu dish. I also ended up getting their Mango Sticky Rice which was great. Mango was ripe and dish was just the perfect amount of sweetness. The place is pretty spacious inside with plenty of seating at the bar, long high tops, and table seating. Staff were friendly and courteous. Such a great spot for some delicious Thai food.

I was confused by the server who greeted us only bc she was wearing a coat which I found odd and her attentiveness was about a 5/10. All the drinks were great! Especially the pineapple raspberry margarita. The seafood wonton appetizer was a hit and I'd return again just for that but don't discount the entrees! Very shareable in terms of portions, food arrived piping hot and flavorful especially the Shrimp Garlic. I would recommend this to friends and hope to return for a happy hour soon!

The drunken noodles with level 1 spicy (lowest spice level) was already pretty spicy for me! So proceed with caution . Granted, I still enjoyed the noodles and LOVED IT ! I got it with beef. Me and my homegirl were on a budget, so we only stuck to appetizers. I still think it was a little pricy even after splitting, but I would come here again to focus on the entrees rather than the appetizers. The seating is shared between all the restaurants inside the market hall, and we came at a pretty quiet time. Even though it was slow, we did wait quite a bit for our food. We were given the option to have our drinks served first, giving us some down time to mosey around the rest of the market with something sweet to sip on. We were notified that our food was ready, via text. We had the Curry Puff and Moo Ping Nom Sod. The Curry Puff filling was delicious, and the onion vinaigrette was essential to cut through the rich pastry. We spent most of our time in the food court mumbling through stuffed cheeks about how good the pastries were. The Moo Ping Nom Sod was good, surprisingly not as salty as other Thai restaurants. This enabled you to truly enjoy the vegetables it came with, as well as the steaming hot rice that came individually wrapped, ensuring that the rice would be soft even after opening the container.
