Sorry, I got neither the "noodle" nor the popular Chicken (big thigh) Box. Next time, I will (just wasn't that hungry). Any of the 0 people that follow me know that the previous (sushi) joint here (Nori) was one of the worst known to humankind in food, atmosphere (well, they did have a jazz night) and cleanliness. But Mona's is great! Great food and great service. A couple times the female server came back to make sure I had what I needed or if I needed a spicier entree or protein. I ate outside and really enjoyed the sweet and sour Tom-kha coconut-lemongrass-lime juice and so on soup--really liked the pungent bite as the liquid love went down my throat. Wow! The Basil Eggplant and veggies with brown rice entree with 3-scale spiciness was also great. I highly recommend this new-to-the neighborhood Laotian-style take on noodles that includes lots of extra sides and proteins in addition to pho. Go pho! Come here! read more

Dislike tonight's service The Asian man seems to be a racist. His attitude was not good towards me. And tonight's food seemed to be not good as the common level. read more

I like Mona's! We've been a couple of times now, and I cannot resist their seafood pho with shrimp, calamari, fish balls, and mussels. (I've gotten it both times I've visited!) (My family has tried other dishes: drunken noodles, summer rolls, and Thai Red Curry, which they've enjoyed!) The service was great both times, and the restaurant itself is small, cozy, and charming. I'm sure I'll be back soon - that seafood pho is great on a cold day! read more

Placed an order for pickup, said it would be ready in 25, we stood in the restaurant for over 40 minutes waiting for it. But, I know this place is new, so honestly didn't bother me that much. The guy working the phones and handling customers did a great job. The issue here was...the food. We got pad see ew with chicken, the BBQ chicken, and the chicken box. Pad See Ew - there was no flavor here. Even looking at it, it seemed pale in color. BBQ Chicken - also had no flavor. Just came with crunchy white rice and steamed broccoli and carrots. It felt really healthy, which is nice for some, but when I order takeout, I'm lookin for flavor. I'm looking for something I can't really whip up at home. This was bland. Chicken Box - this was the best of the order. Standard fried chicken the dipping sauce was AMAZING! So was the rice. Overall, disappointing. Maybe the pho is better? read more

Service has always been pleasant. The best dishes are the drunken noodles, curry and pineapple fried rice. They added more items to the menu, but I found the new items lackluster. The beef was fatty and stiff and the vegetables were unseasoned. The bao bun was okay but somewhat soggy on the edges. Mona's is a great place to go when you want something quick and you order the right items. I think the prices are a little high for what you get, but the servers are attentive and it's nice that you can sit outside. read more

KAZ is awesome! I was visiting from NYC this weekend and Kaz was our support person each and every time. First off Kaz knew everything about my friends who live here in Baltimore. She knew their favorite drink, their favorite dish and where they like to sit. Kaz made a very sentimental important visit worth while. We came to visit my friend because of a death, her sweet dog. It was extremely painful and hard to be normal knowing she lost someone so important to her. But from the moment we were greeted by Kaz we all were all smiles. Thank you so much for being a beacon of light, and for always recognizing that every day is different even if the customer is the same. Your spazz and smile and level of service was amazing. I usually like to write about the establishment but this one is for you. Also their chicken box is the best thing ever!!!!! read more

Sat outside and the service was quite slow and inattentive. The summer rolls were okay but not amazing. I ordered eggplant with beef and it was bland and eggplant was mushy and burnt at the same time. Also sampled the drunken noodles and these were also bland. With other Asian options in the city I would not return. read more

Looking at the pictures and reading reviews, I was excited to try this place. I should preface this review by saying I am an avid Thai food lover, have been to Thailand, and eat it at least once a week. I love trying new places and really try not to be too picky. However, I would be remiss not to leave an honest review. I ordered delivery. Tom Kha (coconut milk soup with chicken), Beef Drunken Noodle, and Green Curry Chicken. The only word that came to mind with every bite was BLAND. I think they use water as a base for every dish, then add some coconut mild & seasonings. I have never seen paler drunken noodles anywhere, and the green curry - which barley had a curry taste at all - had a very odd, unnatural bright green color. To say I'm disappointed after spending a good chunk of change on this delivery, is a huge understatement. I couldn't even eat the "curry", and barely choked down some of the "drunken noodles" and soup. read more

I'm not angry, but I want to caution customers and alert Mona's, that the last two times I ordered delivery from them, they screwed up the order. The first time I ordered a Pho dish and they forgot to include the broth. The second time I ordered Tom-Kha soup with shrimp and they left out the shrimp. Is their food good? How would I know? Obviously, their quality assurance isn't working. read more

I'm a big fan of Pho.....this restaurant is actually Laotian similar to Vietnamese, and the Pho was better than average for sure. The broth was extra beefy with less herbal flavors than I'm used to, like star anise etc was missing. This is common though. All the different beef tidbits were tasty. The interior was charming, not a typical fluorescent lit Formica table VietPho strip mall joint. Service was fine. Note that they give a small piece of basil, but don't ask for a lot more unless $2 is ok with you! read more

Yelp recommended Mona's, and it did not disappoint.. Had the pleasure of meeting Mona and she was an absol darling.. We ordered crispy calamari, shrimp summer rolls, Pho 1 & Pho 6... So good I couldn't wait to finish to post my review!! Wow! This place was so quaint that it felt like a home. We were greeted at the front by Mona herself, who went right to the back to actually make our food after we ordered!! She did not disappoint. This doesn't taste like food from a Thai restaurant. Super Noodle is one of those times there's truth in advertising. We came in on a Saturday night and the waiter was a delight. I'm not sure if she was the proprietor but she thoroughly explained the menu items to the uninitiated in our group. We all went with pho and all came away pleased. It's expertly made pho that I imagine would satisfy all but the most exacting of critics. My one disappointment would be with the tea selection or lack thereof. They simply offered black, mint and a berry variety. I would have loved a cup of green tea on that frigid night but that's a small complaint. If you're in Hampden with a taste for noodles, check them out! read more

Environment is clean and simple with authentic Thail/Lao decor. Family friendly and would be suitable for groups though we only had a party of four. Love how sweet and friendly the staff is. I got their seafood Pho with Veggie Broth. I didn't add any housin sauce because the broth is practically perfect! My husband and son got the #5 beef broth pho, their only complaint was the beef not being cut thin enough or it's not the typical beef cut for pho we're used to. Their bao was a new item so we had to try it. My husband described it tasting like his mom made. Definitely not a store bought bao and legit homemade. Their dessert was just right! Not too sweet. With Mangos it's hard to always get it perfectly ripe, we must've gotten lucky because our dessert was great! This was our second time here. I definitely plan on returning and Highly Recommend this place if you want authentic Thai food and great tasting pho. Soon they'll be adding a couple Lao dishes to their menu too!! read more

We ordered takeout recently and were very happy we went before the 30 min the website told us. It was ready for us when I got there after 20 minutes - so heads up, you may want to plan to go early for the fresh hot food! I had the drunken noodles with chicken, and it had a great spice (I ordered level 3). We also ordered the spring rolls (tasty!) and a special Chicken Box. The chicken was a whole big piece - with a smallish side of sticky rice. We weren't quite sure what to expect there, but it was tasty. I think in the future we'd go for a rice dish or curry over it, but it was good for a different meal. The wait staff was friendly and it was a very easy pick up. I'll certainly try them again! read more

Food: i've been to this restaurant twice. I had had a great experience both times. The food was great. I got their curry with rice. It was delicious really flavorful, I thought it was a great spice level as well. The calamari was also great very crunchy and I really enjoy the sauce that was served with it. I also ordered their Thai iced tea which was really good as well. They had an oat milk option which I really appreciated. I have also had their pho and it was also very tasty. Service: both times that I went I received really good service. The first time that I went we were seated at the bar. Once a table opened up the waitress asked us if we would like to move to a table which I appreciate it greatly. The second time I was there the waitress was clearly very busy. The restaurant was packed that night. However she did a great job making sure our table was attended to. Other: I recently came to the restaurant after the remodel. I love the remodel! The decor and everything is very cute and aesthetically pleasing. It is a lot brighter in there as well. Overall I'm a big fan! read more

Really enjoyed this restaurant! Calamari doesn't look bad but it tasted WAY better than it looked. So crispy. Glad we got it! Seafood Pad Thai was GREAT. Not bad, just different! read more

Was at work and craving Thai food and this place came up on Yelp so I figured why not give them a try. I will say the food was received super hot as if I was in the actual store instead of DoorDash delivery, the visual made it seem like I was going to absolutely love this dish however that wasn't the case. The portion was great yet pricey. The noodles were firm but bland(I chose spicy) the chicken lacked flavor but they did put in the extra scallions. There was no utensils to use thankfully I had some in my bag easily available. The reviews stated there may not be the best however I'm always willing to give someone a try for myself. Will I return? Not sure as I was hoping for more flavor. read more

The food was decent, but not exactly what was expected. We ordered: Pad Thai- Had more of a sweet and sour taste opposed to the coconutty flavor I'm used to. Recently opened restaurant with decent amount of outdoor and indoor seating. The service was understandably a little slow because they are new, but the servers were so friendly and accommodating. We ordered the chicken satay skewers which were tender and flavorful, on par with some of the authentic chicken satay skewers my friend ate when traveling abroad. The sweet cucumber and onion salsa on the side also complimented the chicken well if you needed some onion for a little more kick or some cucumber to cleanse the pallet. The Pho was very savory and came with a generous amount of noodles. We took the leftovers to go and ate some the next morning, but because the noodles soaked up the savory broth overnight, they became a little too salty for our liking. The Pad Thai was also quite good-- they give a generous portion of noodles with the dish with a reasonable amount of protein to go along with it. The egg in the dish added a nice richness that rounded out the sweet/tangy noodles. Overall a solid place to take friends to eat. You definitely won't leave hungry! read more

Liked this place so much, I got it 3 times in one week! Everything here was amazing - the pho, soups and rolls. The Tom kha soup was the best I have ever had and the chicken pho was really good too. The Kang Jerd Woon Sen and Summer Rolls weren't really my cup of tea, but my husband thought they were really good and traditional, so I think they were probably really good and I'm just being picky. The summer rolls have mint in them, which just isn't really the way I like them and the Kang Jerd Woon Sen just tasted a little too vegetable-y to me. Overall, a great restaurant and would especially recommend the pho or tom kha! read more

Super new place in Hampden with some delicious soups! I ordered the Tom Yum soup (which was not a Pho) which was labeled "Hot and Sour" although it seemed more sweet than sour and the heat was fairly mild. That being said it was still very yummy especially on a cold windy day. The picture I attached is of carry-out, I'm sure it would look better in a real bowl. Definitely recommend and would go back here, the food was quick and cheap and the service was no problem. There's plenty of outdoor seating and carry out for the COVID-conscious too. read more

The service is really good, the ladies who helped me were super chill! I decided to sit outside and take in the weather, mostly because there was no one else inside. I got the chicken drunken noodles and I just wasn't impressed. The chicken was absolutely terrible so I kind of just pushed it off to the side and only ate the noodles. There was some weird piece of plastic in my food that pissed me off, but I didn't complain since the ladies were nice and it likely wasn't their fault. Do I recommend for drunken noodles? No, not at all. BUT I did get a glass of Pinot Grigio and that was great. read more

My first time trying Pho and it did not disappoint! Food, drinks and atmosphere were all very good.

I had a reservation but when I arrived there was no record of my reservation. Thankfully there was an open table so my party did not have to wait. The service was kind of hectic because two servers kept switching and coming to us and there was no communication in between and we were asked the same questions from each server. Monas super noodle is like a hodgepodge of different asian cuisine. They have laotian, thai, vietnamese, and chinese. The only photo I had was of the chicken box which is what I got. The other members of my party got pad thai and pho. To be honest, coming from a vietnamese family, the pho was pretty good being in Baltimore because Baltimore is not a big asian food hub like rockville and northern Virginia. The chicken was HUGE. Prepare to wait because they do warn you that it will take some time to make. The chicken was SO crispy and SO juicy, but it lacked flavor. Which is where the sauce came in and it went really well together! The sticky rice was good too but I tried to envision how to eat it 'correctly' but I dont think I did it right. The chicken to rice proportion was off in my opinion- too much chicken not enough rice. Overall was good, but not sure if I would come back unless there was a special occasion. read more

I just got takeout from here for the first time, and it was fantastic. I ordered the chicken pho, and it was LOADED with noodles, chicken, bean sprouts, everything. Very fresh, very flavorful. They really don't skimp on any element. It also came very easy to assemble, which isn't always the case off take-out soups. I ate a full lunch's worth, and still have a pint container left over for tomorrow. Ordering was very easy through their website, and pickup was seamless and contact free. I ordered an chai tea while I waited for my order also. Which was only a few min. The Pho was fun too assemble! Lol It did need a bit of help (salt) but delicious. I would do back for the chai tea, and the coconut shrimp though. read more

Haven't tried a lot but the seafood pho and summer rolls are delicious. I have returned serval times for the summer rolls.

Look no further than this restaurant if you're in the mood for amazing food in the Hampden neighborhood. This place has many delicious dishes. We've ordered take out a few times from here but this was our first time eating at the restaurant. We had a 5-10 min wait at 7pm on a Friday with a full house. We already knew what we wanted so our orders went in as soon as we were sat. We were done in exactly an hour from given a table to paying the bill and leaving. Such efficient service!! We ordered a appetizer of spring rolls to start off with. It comes with 4 rolls which were amazing. For dinner I ordered the Pad Veggie Entree that comes with 1 choice of protein and a side of rice which you can choose from white or brown. I had the beef protein and brown rice with mine. This had the perfect texture and spice ratio. 10/10. My wife had the Chicken Pad Thai in which I got to eat the last few bites as per usual. This also hit the spot well. 9/10. Only a point off because I didn't get to try everything that was on the plate. Definitely a worthy restaurant to give a try if you haven't yet. read more
