We came to SushiBruce-Ya for dinner, and it was fabulous! I had come once before and was not quite as impressed as I always am with the original location, but this time it hit all the marks. We got: - The dumpling gyoza appetizer - The garlic edamame appetizer - The Japanese burrito, a mix of nigiri and California roll Everything was absolutely delicious, and the fish was melt-in-your-mouth, just as I always remember it at the original location. All-around fantastic meal.

Food was delicious. Friendly, quick service. Clean restrooms. My daughter loved the rainbow roll And I enjoyed the lunch special-salmon poke salad. Matcha cheesecake was delicious too.

This was delicious! The sushi rolls are so large, well worth the price. The service was quick and friendly. I'd definitely come back and eat here again.

I dined in at Sushibruce Ya and had the Sure Thing special roll -- and I enjoyed it and would order it again. The roll had spicy salmon and avocado layered over a shrimp tempura crunch base, finished with slices of jalapeño, a drizzle of soy dressing, sriracha, and masago. The roll wad fresh and flavorful and loaded. I also ordered the seaweed salad, which was a nice way to start the meal. For drinks, I tried their hot sake. I'm not very familiar with sake, so I'm trying to explore more. See the picture to see the ceramic sake flask and cup it was served in, which I enjoyed. Regarding the service, everyone was kind when they did come by, but it felt like I spent more time waiting to be noticed than actually being checked on. Sometimes this can happen with restaurants but I don't know if that's their norm. The restaurant is small but fits a good amount of tables for the size. The ambiance is set by the dim lighting. All in all, I would return. I'd like to try more rolls and see what future dining experiences have in store.

High quality sushi, rolls, and other dishes! Enjoyed the garlic edemame, tempura vegetables, and any of their specialty rolls. On the pricier side but certainly worth it for a night out or special occasion. Parking can be difficult, especially on the weekends, as only street parking is available in this area of Fells. Cozy, modern interior.

Tried this spot with some friends. We really enjoyed their rolls. The service could have been better, it took pretty long to get anyone's attention. The ambiance is perfect for a date night or a night out with the girls. The rolls are very flavorful. It does feel as though most rolls have their base as a kani or a California roll inside, but still good.

My boyfriend and I stopped in here randomly and quite literally had the best sushi in Baltimore. Ava was so kind and patient with us! Not pictured here but we started with the gyoza which was fried to perfection and a squid salad with the most refreshing cold crunch. The restaurant is also so cute and quaint with amazing attention to detail. We will indeed be coming back!

Always one of my favorite places in Baltimore. Stopped by for lunch. Was sat quickly, they were a bit busier than usual but service was still good, welcoming and friendly as expected. Ordered a sushi burrito, shrimp and crab roll, and the lunch poke salad. Everything was good. The shrimp and crab roll was nice and flavorful, the poke salad was excellent fresh and delicious with a great tasting dressing, the burrito was as always excellent lots of spicy tuna, crab and shrimp in it. For lunch time this place was chill, not too loud and crazy, chill vibes. Plenty of street parking nearby.

Food: 8/10 Bruce's sushi is always full of creativity, blending flavors from different cultures in such a fun and delicious way. We tried the crispy Firecracker roll (8/10), the Crab Salad (7/10) which had a nice touch of Maryland flavor, and some fresh sashimi (8/10). We also had the Japanese Burrito (8/10) from the specialty roll section. Everything was thoughtfully made. Bruce's sushi feels like a series of little surprise boxes--beautifully shaped, richly flavored, and always exciting to explore with friends. Service: 8/10 The staff was polite and genuinely friendly, making the experience feel welcoming. Ambience: 8.5/10 Comfortable and well-lit. The decor strikes a nice balance between cultural character and modern design, making the space both cozy and stylish.

This is the best sushi I've had in a while! I heard recommendations about this sushi place while in Baltimore area, so we had to check it out. The interior was chic and our server was super friendly and helpful! We got the calamari for the appetizer and rolls to share (Hot Night Baby and Full Option which are both not pictured). I also got the salmon, tuna, and yellowtail nigiri. The fish was super fresh and all the rolls were delicious. The size of the rolls was also big- no skimping compared to a lot of other sushi restaurants. If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely be back!

10/10 sushi place in fells point. Came across this spot during my stay in Baltimore and fulfilled that sushi craving. The miso soup was sooo hot (in a good way) and fresh. Their spicy tuna was super fresh too. Overall, I would def come back. Just note that 18% gratuity is included.

Such a great sushi spot! I love Shoyu in Fed Hill so it's great this place is also by the same owner. The inside is intimate and nicely decorated. There was one staff member working the front during the lunch timeframe. My friend and I ordered hot tea which came in a cute teapot. For food, my friend ordered the Fresh Tofu Salad, Avocado, and Vegetable rolls while I ordered the Spicy Tuna Tempura and Play rolls. My rolls were huge and so filling. Both had lovely presentations and were so flavorful. We really enjoyed dining here and hope to be back soon!

Best sushi in Baltimore! Sushibruce doesn't take reservations but we timed our Saturday evening dinner early enough to avoid a wait to be seated. It's a medium-sized, beautifully designed dining room with lots of different textures on the walls. The adult beverage menu includes Sake, Wine and Beer (not a full bar) but the sushi is without a doubt the star. Fresh fish and creative combinations make for delicious special rolls like "Who's Your Daddy" (spicy tuna and shrimp tempura, topped with seared albacore and avocado) and "Hot Night Baby" (spicy tuna and avocado on top of a shrimp tempura crunch roll). I was impressed with the amount of food so the prices reflect that. Can't wait to go back and try more rolls!

We were pleasantly surprised that the food was actually pretty legit Japanese. I got the Tonkotsu Ramen Black and the broth was delicious. The noodles were well done and it had a fair amount of toppings. The pork chashu could be better (they were a little dry) but overall, it was very good in a legitimate-Asian approved way. For drinks, I ordered an espresso martini with tequila. Our server suggested adding Baileys to the first one, and while I gave it a try, it quickly reminded me that I am firmly Team No Baileys in my espresso martinis. Thankfully, the second one was exactly how I like it. For food, we started with the house salad, yellowtail roll, and crispy rice with tuna. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. For our entrée, I had my heart set on the miso black cod, but my dining companion is a devoted branzino fan. After talking through both dishes with our server, he strongly recommended the branzino. I'll never admit this to him directly, but the server may have been right. The fish was perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. One small thing to note is that we had to ask for soy sauce, wasabi, and ginger after our sushi arrived. This seems to be becoming more common at restaurants these days, and I'm guessing it's an effort to reduce waste, which I can appreciate. It wasn't a big deal at all, but if you're a sushi traditionalist like me, don't be surprised if you need to request the full set of accompaniments. One thing that really stood out was the service. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and honest when we asked about menu items. We mentioned that we were running a bit behind for our show, and he made sure our food came out quickly without making us feel rushed. The restaurant itself is stylish and upscale, though a bit smaller than some of the other waterfront restaurants nearby. There's a nice bar area, sushi bar seating, and a lively atmosphere without feeling overwhelming. They also offer valet parking. We initially assumed it was only for The Ruxton next door since that's where it was stationed, but our server later let us know it's available for Azumi guests as well. Good information for next time! Pricing felt appropriate for a waterfront sushi and seafood restaurant in Harbor East. The portions matched the price point, and we left satisfied without feeling like we overpaid. Overall, Azumi delivered great food, excellent service, and a fun atmosphere. While Baltimore has plenty of great dining options, I'd happily return if I'm back in the area and not in the mood to try somewhere new.

I came as part of a large group dinner. I appreciate that they took large reservations and sat us in a nice spot in the middle of the restaurant. The server was nice and patient, but I did notice his jacket smelled like cigaret smoke. I asked what to get, since the menu is *huge* and overwhelming (I'm not sure why sushi, steak and pad Thai are on the same menu?). He recommended sushi, so I got a flaming dragon roll (I forget the exact name). Anyways, everyone else also ordered and the food came relatively quickly. Now...when I tell you this is the worst sushi I've ever had. Again, I hate being negative but I have to tell it like it is! When they first presented the dish, it was cool because they serve it on fire. I knew that they had sake in the dish (probably so the flame can keep going after they take it out of the kitchen). However, when I bit into it, the sake was *extremely* overpowering. I couldn't taste anything else except the sake. It was extremely alcohol-heavy and I could not finish the dish. I asked others to try it, and they all agreed that it was too heavy. The prices were also very high for what we got. The only food I enjoyed were the appetizers, but they were still unremarkable. Overall, I regrettably cannot recommend this place. None of the dishes stood out, and the sushi was shocking.
