I ordered from the happy hour menu which has a pretty good selections of drinks and food. I settled on the kabuto peach drink ( some fruit drink with vodka) and the Pearl River roll ,Baltimore roll and Gyoza. The food came out quick and fresh. This might become my new Friday happy hour spot. You can't go wrong with sushi and drinks.

The only reason this isnt 1 star review is because the food was ok. We were visiting on a weekend at 12:30. We weren't at a hibachi table. My husband asked for a gin and tonic. But there is no tonic water and our server couldn't offer any alternatives. Their beers were all flavorless pilsners or light beers. The plates are an interesting mix of heavy and large or flimsy and plastic. It made the meal strangely awkward. The food arrived and my husband asked for normal sodium soy sauce. We were told that all the green soy sauce bottles are filled with normal soy sauce. So they are either lying to us about everything being normal. Or they're lying to everyone else and refilling bottles that say low sodium with normal soy sauce. The server was below average and didn't clear anything from the awkward table. She was trying but was just not very good. There is a mandatory 18% gratuity that I asked to change given the service. I wouldn't normally punish a server for the restaurant's short comings but she was bad at her job. I was told their payment system couldn't do this. I asked to speak to a manager. No one would be in until 5pm. I am so glad I don't live near this place and have other options for Japanese food. I don't ever need to go back. This is my first review because I've never had a such a bad experience.

The service is phenomenal, I've always been greeted immediately walking in. Everyone is so nice and will talk to you and offer suggestions! They do have a happy hour on Monday to Friday from 4 PM to 6:30 PM. This includes certain rolls and appetizers, beer, wine, and cocktails. I had the lychee Saketini (HH $8), and it definitely had lychee flavor. It was a little lighter on the alcohol though. I also had a 22 oz. can of Sapporo premium beer, which was also on happy hour for $7.50. Both the bagel roll and California roll were $6 on happy hour as well. I highly recommend the Volcano Roll (HH $12), which had 6 pieces of salmon and tuna top with a spicy mayo and eel sauce. We initially sat outside, but once it started raining, they helped us bring everything inside. The hostess was very kind and our server was excellent. In terms of the ambiance, there is not much indoor and outdoor seating. It seems like they mainly do take out. Also, street parking can be limited.

Walking in, we saw a huge, clear plastic barrier side to side and most of the way to the ceiling, and i wondered why. It looks awful and is off-putting, which is what restaurants do not want. You order through a small gap in the plastic. I ordered the Japanese chicken noodle soup, and it arrived piping hot. After it cooled a bit, i tried the broth and IMO it lacked flavor. The chicken breast in it was very tender, and the baby boy Choi did not really seem to complement the soup. Also, I ordered a shrimp egg roll, yup, you guessed, right. It was all cabbage and 1 shrimp, only 1 of the tiniest shrimp I've ever seen and very greasy. It was disappointing. My husband ordered the shrimp and chicken on fried rice ( the man working there said this is their most popular dish). What arrived was only shrimp on the fried rice and no chicken. It was ok, a bit on the sweet side. Generous serving. Generally speaking, the menu is limited, and that is good when you can expect what they do being done well. I would much rather have it that way instead of a restaurant that has lots and lots, meaning quality vs. quantity. In this visit, the quality was off for my portion of the meal. Prices are reasonable for what you order. Service was really good and accommodating. They were very friendly.

The inside is small but they use the space effectively and nothing feels cramped. The menu is small but everything we got was delicious. The service was great, very welcoming and informative. We'll definitely be back. We ordered the special menu appetizer watermelon, I don't remember the name and Onigiri. I ordered the Mazemen and my partner got the special spicy shrimp ramen. The pink drink is the Open Kimono, the gochujang isn't overbearing but has a subtle flavor that really bright everything together. The Toki Monster had a piece of pork belly for the garnish and my partner also ordered the special mystery saki. He said it was unlike any other sake he's ever tasted in the best possible way. The only downside was that he forgot to ask again what it was called.

Mostly because the ramens came with pork or vegan broth and no poultry or fish broth options. Stalking their insta I saw a chicken broth tantanmen that looked delish. So here we were. We were promptly sat, service was quick and fast. My chicken tantanmen was delicious. The numbing sichuan chili oil with the crispy karaage, paired with a nutty miso broth was just perfect for an overcast day. My bf also thoroughly enjoyed his vegan mushroom ramen and appreciated the cook on the mushrooms as it wasn't just bland and spongy. Would absolutely come back if they keep offering non pork broth options. Or at least the ability to sub broths out. Interior was also decorated very cool.
