Sushi and Sashimi Boat A!
Sadhana P.

Went with my boyfriend for Valentine's Day this year! We were nervous because they didn't take reservations, but we went around 7 and were immediately seated. We also got to sit at the elevated tables by the window where you take your shoes off and sit on pillows which was really unique! I ordered the hot jasmine tea which was warm and comforting especially on such a cold day, and we got the chicken katsu which was crunchy and deliciously savory with the sauce that came with it. We also had the miso soup, which was just the right amount of salty and warmed us up too. The main star was the Sashimi and Sushi Boat A that we got. With our apps, this was more than enough food for two people, and came out in a giant boat. The sushi and sashimi both tasted very fresh and delicate, with our favorites being the yellowtail and tuna. If we weren't so stuffed we definitely would've gotten some more a la carte after! Prices generally felt reasonable to us, with the sushi boat at $65! There was a bit of a wait for the food to come out, but with it being especially crowded for Valentine's Day it was understandable. The view of the water from the window is beautiful and makes up for it too. We definitely want to visit again!

Naomi Café has pretty good sushi. sushi and sashimi platter B is definitely enough for three people maybe even four people if you add an appetizer. Service was very quick. They brought out the sushi a lot faster than I had anticipated. Inside the restaurant, it's very cozy. Next to the windows are some seats where you can sit cross legged.

Nanami consistently delivered great experiences during our many visits. The food is always fresh, our go-to orders are California roll, shrimp tempura roll, vegetable and shrimp tempura, shumai, gyoza, miso soup. Prices are very reasonable, making it a great value. Customer service can be hit or miss, the location offers stunning views; take advantage of the outdoor seating when you can. I've tried the chicken tatsuta-age and nabeyaki udon but found them lacking. Overall, it's a reliable spot for sushi lovers in Fells Point. Check it out!

Gyoza Shrimp Appetizer

Nanami is one of my favorite restaurants in Baltimore. It's located directly next to the water in Fells Point so the views are beautiful. The food is absolutely delicious. We started with the shrimp gyoza which was tasty and not overly fried. The sushi was the star of the show; we ordered a spicy tuna roll and added cream cheese and a flaming dragon roll which literally comes out over a flame. The fish was fresh, the sauces were delicious, and the rolls were overall super flavorful. The service was quick, too! I will absolutely be back (maybe even every week - it was that good).

I've been wanting to try this sushi spot for months, and I happy I finally did! Located right beside the water in the heart of Fells Point, this is a great spot for date, or lunch with friends. Food: I'm a sushi lover, but now that the weather is beginning to cool down. The smoked eel over warm sushi rice and radishes has me ready for sweater weather. The eel is perfectly cooked, the sauce is an umami bomb that will leave you wanting more. The pickled radishes are crunchy and tangy so it will cleanse you pallet. My friend ordered an assortment of sushi, I tried the fatty salmon and a shrimp tempura and eel roll. I will definitely return to have this meal again. Maybe even try something new! Service: Service here is great! I had difficulty making a decision because everything on the menu is tempting to a sushi lover like myself. Thankfully, my waitress recommended the smoked eel. As I stated earlier.... it was amazing! So when in doubt, ask a waiter! Ambiance: I sat outside which overlooks the water. Inside there are booths by the windows that require you to take off your shoes before you are seated. Want to keep your shoes on? No problem, they have regular tables available. Overall: The sushi here is fresh and the plating is beautiful every time. The best sushi in Fells Point!

If I were only rating on the quality of the food, my rating would be a 5/5 - so delicious!! The reason I am at a 4 is due to the service, sadly. A few things went wrong with our service: we were not given water, our food took 45+ minutes to come out, and they forgot a roll (ending in a mild but friendly argument, lol). I think this place is extremely popular and delicious (for good reason), but perhaps the staff are overworked and maybe they need to hire one or two more servers, especially during traditionally busy times!

TLDR is that my friend called this his "favorite sushi restaurant in Baltimore". Nanami has so much going for it - it's in a great location, they have sizeable, creative, and well made sushi rolls, it's low key but still a nice night out, the seating on the side is unique, and the beer cans are ginormous. We liked everything we ordered, the prices were very reasonable especially for a sushi joint in fells point, and the service was prompt and courteous.

Namani is low key one of the best and most consistent sushi places in Baltimore. This place has a great central location right next to Vino so wine can be had before or after your meal, but Namani also has a great sake and beer selection (not to mention champagne by the bottle so I that's always a win for me) You can sit at the bar and watch you sushi be made or enjoy the Kotatsu tables (and with the traditional seating you will have to take off your shoes). They also have regular tables in the middle of their space. But no matter where you sit you will get great service. I have made my way through most of the sushi menu, trying a new roll every visit and I have never been disappointed. (get the fatty Salmon!!)

Spicy Roll Combo Entree

We got edamame, hot sake, and the spicy sushi combo. The tuna roll was really fishy, I thought the conch was really tough and the California roll was ok. The edamame was small but decent. Sake was ok. My partner got the teriyaki beef which was good, some of it was tough in my opinion. Small venue, friendly staff.

Great quality sushi at a very reasonable price. The restaurant itself is very plain. Tables were a little sticky. Service was fast and friendly.

Crunch Roll

Small sushi place tucked away by the water in fells point. Compared to the other sushi restaurants in the area, nanami is my go-to because I know i can get great quality and fair priced food. The inside is smaller but whenever I go they always seem to have room. When the restaurant is busy the service does seem to slow down but it is reasonable given the amount of staff they have on hand.

Love love love! The vegetable yaki soba noodles are delicious! I was actually shocked the first time I tried them, but each noodle had so much flavor. The sushi is very good too! I loved the Chesapeake roll! Nanami is my new favorite spot to go to when I'm in Baltimore!

This place is located right on the water and their sushi boat is to die for! The fish is clearly very fresh and so full of flavor. This was enough to feed 4 people and we had a blast trying all the different sashimi and rolls!

You cannot use Korean "gim"/laver for sushi, and they don't. Korean "him" is most often roasted and coasted with salt and sesame oil, but is never used in Japanese food. They 100% use Nori! The tempura is a fairly proper Japanese tempura batter, not… Read more

Neighborhood chicken bowl mild: delicious the chicken breading is crispy and has the perfect curry taste without being overpowering. The pickled veggies with it is a great palate cleanser and balances all the flavors. I got it mild and while I was nervous of the spice level being too much for me (I'm a weenie) it was perfect, the kind of spice that actually adds to the dish instead of hurting you. Tempura broccoli: So good! Crunchy without being oily, it had a bunch of herbs on it the brightened the whole dish. Ancho chile pork bun: perfectly smokey and meaty without being fatty. This one we really struggled to eat as an actually sandwich because the pork is cubed so it just falls out the sides. The buns are a fun addition and have good texture so I'm happy we tried it, but if I went back I would be fine without it. Crab Rangoon: I was a bit skeptical about 1 crab Rangoon being $10 but that is because o was thinking of my midwestern type of crab rangoons. This was PACKED with actual crab and not a whole lot of cream cheese so the price made more sense when I figured that out. Still very good, but did not stand out amongst the rest. The place was so cool inside, they had about 7-10 bar seats inside with 2 tables outside, I recommend taking this to go. The service was nice and quick, you can tell they have a very efficient process. My only suggestion would be to turn the music down a little bit because it was hard for me and my husband to just talk to each other about plans that we had for the rest of the day. So happy this was featured on the yelp top 100 places so that we could try it!

I ordered two main dishes and was originally told it would take about 15 minutes, but it ended up taking double that, so just keep that in mind if you're in a rush like we were. The space itself is pretty small too, so it's more of a grab and go place. The Neighborhood Bird bowl was a HUGE portion. It was kind of spicy but the pickled onions helped even it out. I also tried the ancho chile pork bun. The bun itself tasted amazing, but it was a bit difficult to eat. The bottom got pretty soggy while the top bun was thick and tall, so it kind of fell apart while eating.

The serving sizes though could be larger for the price charged. Experience: The ambiance of this place is very genuine. Taste: Despite the relatively higher sauces, the food itself was simply put, very delicious. The creative use of mango, tomato, and oil contrasted the soy sauce and wasabi very well. The fish itself was also, and this is especially important, the star of the dish flavor. Overall, a very competent and high performing Sushi place.
