Came here on a Sunday afternoon after brunch hours for a couple of drinks and bar bites. It was CIAA weekend but wasn't busy so we found seats pretty easily at the bar. Service was a little slow by the bartender. I ordered lamb pops and she got the spinach dip along with capirinhas. A second bartender took over and she was a lot more friendly. My wife and I came here to celebrate our one year anniversary. The restaurant did not acknowledge our anniversary in any way, despite me adding it as a comment on the reservation, telling our waitress in person that it was our anniversary, and even reiterating that it was our anniversary when we got the check. I wasn't looking for a red carpet, but a simple dessert for us to share would have been nice. Furthermore, I found some of the meats to be either overcooked or undercooked. Some of the food was very salty. I saw other reviews where people received desserts for their anniversary. The restaurant is extremely popular, so if you are looking for something intimate or romantic, this is not it. Fogo is more casual and family friendly... Think hoodies, t-shirts, etc. I've experienced other Brazilian steakhouses where the meat was cooked perfectly. I would probably choose other options instead. read more

I last came here over a decade ago so it was nice to be back again. The inside is large with plenty of seating. The service here is decent and staff are just courteous without the friendliness. We chose the Churrasco experience which includes the salad bar area. I didn't want to get too full off of that and got a small plate with some items. The meats of course were the highlight. We enjoyed the lamb and Picahna (top sirloin) meats the best as they were seasoned well and tender. We also got dessert that we both enjoyed. Food was great! I got the Chilean seabass which was a large portion and cooked to perfection. The salad bar was great but the hot appetizers were a little lacking. Went here for Mother's Day. Having 1 server for multiple large parties is totally insufficient. I had to ask the waiter for the normal side items (mashed potatoes, fried polenta, etc) that are supposed to come to the table with the full meat dinner service. I asked the waiter and a manager for lamb chops, they never came. I did get ribeye, but I had to ask the manager for it. This was an awful experience. Never received any form of apology or concession. While the service was insufficient, the lack of concern from the manager was a greater concern for me. Don't waste your money, time, or occasion. Me and my girlfriend came here for happy hour on a Friday, and boy let me tell y'all--parking was the only struggle because we weren't trying to pay, so we circled around for a bit. Once we got inside though, totally worth it. We ordered the strawberry hibiscus caipirinha and the gold rush--both solid choices and strong . For bar bites, we had the spiced chicken sliders (sooooo good and not fried ) and the Brazilian empanadas. The food hit the spot! You must try and thank me later! -cheesy roll - These are complimentary and are brought to each table. It reminded me of a popover. Light and airy! -Tres Leches Cake - Oh so moist and simply perfection! (Not included with dinner.) -Tri-Bean Salad-I didn't have this, but hubby was really excited about it. The arugula of the salad bar was entirely wilted, not exaggerating. So unappetizing looking. The feijoada was just black beans, not meat and lacked flavor. I told them twice and it was never replaced. Pão de Queijo tasted ok but got stale so fast.. microwaved to heat up? Many cuts of the meat were overcooked, chewey. I was so looking forward to their little chicken drums but instead they were passing out regular chicken legs. I will say the parmesan pork loin was the best thing we had all night, delicious! My friend ordered the Tomahawk steak . First steak that comes out is not a tomahawk it's a ribeye and the server is confused and put in the wrong steak. The manager comes over addressed the issue and lets us know it'll be another 20 mins for the correct steak . 20 more minutes goes by and the steak finally comes out and what happened the guy cutting it DROPPED pieces on the floor and mumbled sorry and walked away . I HAVE to update my review without a doubt! Fogo has surprised me with a whole 360 from my last visit/review. When I say, they wanted to do better and improve, THEY DID! First of all, the manager Claudia, she saw my review on Yelp and on Google which was 3/5 stars. I never thought they were horrible, but there were things that needed improvements on. Also, the place is super clean! So, Claudia actually called me (I'm a rewards member) and she discussed my experience and offered me a gift card in the amount of my last meal and told me to inform her when I am coming back. This time, I came back for my fiancé birthday, and everything discussed was improved and much better and I believe that deserves a praise for sure. Upon arrival, there was not a bottle of $7 Saratoga still water on the table, this time we knew it was not complimentary. We had two servers (one might have been training) but they were both amazing. The best Brazil is a promo offering 12/16 cuts of meats from the full menu, and we enjoyed the entire experience. The meat runners informed us of how the meats were cooked (medium, medium well, etc.) so my family really enjoyed being informed. They also brought out a complimentary cheesecake for my fiancé birthday that was delicious! Overall, I had such a transformative experience and appreciated how management went above and beyond to fix the previous mistakes. The lamb chops on the bar menu are my favorite. I travel frequently and often seek these out specifically. The main attraction to this item is the mintchurri. While it is clearly stated on the menu that mintchurri is served with this item, it was not available. This happens far more often than I care to mention. Additionally they ask what temperature you want ehe lamb prepared and it is never, ever served medium as I always request. The service is often mediocre at best. And lastly, my bill was incorrect. We never got a waitress until we brought it to the attention of customer service, Beatrice. She tried to make it right. I hope they have not started to take the customer for granted. The meat on every occasion was dry and unseasoned. I communicated this to Beatrice. She made us a very strong caprihinha (sp) which helped and she had the lamb and chicken seasoned and lamb recooked. I must say it was better. Thank you Beatrice. We never got water refilled. We never got plates changed out. A very different experience than what Fogo de Chao customarily offers. Ferdy, the manager finally got involved and we explained our concerns to him. He really listened and heard our concerns and made it right. My boyfriend and I had reservations for Valentine's Day. Given that it's a major holiday, we knew it was going to be busy, but things were an absolute mess. Right when you come in, there's a huge crowd of people with reservations waiting to be seated. No real organization, just a guy calling out names from a list whom you can barely hear. However, at the same time, other hosts are just picking people out of the crowd to be seated. When I went up to ask about our reservation (which was for 7, at this point, it's 7:30), I was just kind of waved to the side and told to wait for him to call us...but then a host came up to seat us. Again, very disorganized. The service was just as disorganized and inconsistent: when we sat down, we were given forks and tongs, no knives, napkins, cups, or cards needed to order meat. I'd say it took us about 15 minutes and flagging down three different servers for us to finally put in our order and get what we needed; some people just started taking things from empty tables (napkins, utensils, cards) because they were tired of waiting. Some tables appeared to have a dedicated server, but for us and others, we had to constantly flag someone down. Even if we managed to flag someone down, there was no guarantee you'd see them again--we asked three different servers about an order we placed for bone marrow, we were told it would be 5 mins (that turned into 30), then another server said they were taking it off the grill, another server apologized for the delay and said she'd check on it...and then we never saw her the remainder of the night. We also didn't receive any of the sides that came with the full churrasco. Some tables got their sides right when they sat down, others had to flag down someone--a server offered us mashed potatoes right before we were about to leave . Again, I get that it was a holiday and they had significantly more customers than normal, but it seemed like nothing was done or put in place to help things run more smoothly. read more

I had been to Chima in the past & thoroughly enjoyed that experience & if this experience was similar, I knew I was in for a good night. Espresso Martini - 3/5. It was good but it's my go to evening alcoholic beverage & I've had better. Waitress was friendly but struggled explaining the menu & checked on us sparingly. Decent service but nothing exceptional. There was a peculiar odor by our table, but the wait staff was kind enough to let us switch, which was really nice. Salad bar had everything, the street corn & chicken salad was good & my wife raved about it days later. As far as everything overall? What I will say is that we went on a busy Saturday night & it gave me college dining hall vibes. I didn't hate it but I definitely left a little disappointed as I was really excited about our date night. The food was ok. I feel like the same Parmesan pork, grilled sirloin and chicken breast were too heavily in rotation & I really would've liked some other beef. I finally got a piece of lamb later and that was really good. Nothing was terrible, but nothing wow'd me either. That said, I'd like to try again on a less busier day. As a Latina that grew up near Newark, NJ, I've been to my fair share of Brazilian steakhouses, from small holes-in-the-wall to upscale restaurants. Fogo ranks in the middle of those two. Decor-wise, it is set up like an upscale restaurant, and the prices certainly reflect that. The cuts themselves range in quality, with some deliciously melting in my mouth (looking at you, bacon-wrapped steak) and others drier than a first-timer turkey. The hot table food (pão de queijo, etc.) is always amazing, but I find the market bar to be hit or miss depending on the day. The staff comes around QUICK, so make sure to pace yourself well or you will tap out early. Also, save room for dessert if you can because the Chocolate Brigadeiro cake is heavenly and definitely something to split with another. Overall, the food is good but the meats tend to run *very* salty and the prices are quite high. I'd really only recommend this place for a special occasion or during one of their promos (e.g., Best of Brazil or Restaurant Week). read more

Everyone arrived by 7:10. They service was still great because unlike normal restaurants when you have a dedicated server here anyone and everyone will be stopping by to take care of you. I was surprised that the precise has gone up to $67 per person so it's not cheap. It also seems like there are less cuts of meat. I enjoyed the lamb chops and and the top sirloin. I was not a fan of the Parmesan pork but for some reason that was the one that came out the most. Overall a good evening. We were here to celebrate a birthday as we have done many times over the years. This was our first time leaving there disappointed. The service was not close to what we have previously experienced. Our water was not refreshed without asking. Plates stayed too long on the table when we were finished with them. The meat did not make it to our table with a good frequency and the choices were not as varied. Also some of the meat selections were too fatty or chewy. The manager of this location, McKenna is amazing , she made sure that my family was well taken care of, her professionalism and work ethic is extremely evident. Her staff seem to really love her and respect her. It's always a joy to see her. The ambiance is beautiful it was packed in there with other graduates and birthdays but it was still very comfortable. My family and I truly enjoyed our experience. Most of us chose the market Buffet and Full FOGO experience. Both the market buffet bar and the meat options were delectable. The servers catered to our table endlessly and it was much appreciated. Lamb, chicken breast, chicken thighs, chicken wrapped in bacon, Brazilian cheese with honey, steaks , the options were endless and we enjoyed every moment of it. By the end of dinner we were all stuffed lol My husband decided to order a separate entree from the menu , he ordered the Chilean sea bass and that was so so good, I'll definitely order that next time. It literally melted in my mouth like butter. This was definitely a remarkable way to honor and celebrate my brother's graduation. I know that he was pleased as well as the entire family. Not impressed. Our first time eating here, and will definitely be our last. I got chicken and it was very dry and no flavor. My husband got the wagyu ribeye and wasn't told until about 20 minutes in that they didn't have it, but could get the wagyu tomahawk that was not wagyu by any means, it smelled very weird and did not have a good flavor. I would say about every 2 to 3 minutes at least 2 people were coming to the table to ask us questions, not a great dining experience when you really can't have a conversation without getting interrupted every 2 minutes. read more

The evening was about celebrating my daughter's 21st birthday just to set the vibe of why we were there. We arrived on time valet parking is available and easy to do the gentleman was professional and quick. Once inside we were seated at a nice table with access to the room (salad bar or restroom). Here is where it starts to fade with service the staff was not very attentive, on more than one occasion I had to ask for items (the sides, bread, drink). It is extremely disappointing when other locations such as Washington DC the servers are very attentive to the customers needs. Which makes the experience even more desirable and inviting for future visits. What I noticed while I was there customer care managers take cellphone calls on the floor, servers walk by you do not ask if we need anything. Tighten the ship at this location so it can be as successful as other locations (National Harbor or Washington DC or Tysons Corner). When you go there be mindful of the service and provide your experience so those that come after you are aware of the service improving , getting worse or nothing changes. I have been spoiled by the other locations that provide seamless service from the managers such as Gilson, Fatima, Mav, and the continuous inaction from the servers. (DC location) This location has set the bar HIGH which is why I was disappointed with the Baltimore location the GM knows the DC location well and understands why I praise it.
