Our first time visiting Texas de Brazil (son and mom celebrating birthdays) and I'm happy to say it was better than I expected. The decor was so inviting and relaxing. Laury our server was on top of ensuring we knew what to expect as well as informing us to let her know if we had any special requests. She offered a pitcher of lemonade instead of single servings which was needed since we wanted to consume as much of this wonderful dinner feast as possible. The buffet style salad area was very different than your average salad bar; so many great selections you are sure to fill your plate. The huge variety of meats were cooked to perfection; as you like it, and the side dishes were perfect, everything seasoned so well. When we finished our meals, Laury brought out the sample selections of desserts, How I wished we could but we ate so much and truly enjoyed it all. We will certainly be back to Texas de Brazil and I'll try not to attempt to consume Every Meat (lol). Being the first Brazilian Steakhouse in the area that we've visited, we've gone to Texas de Brazil a few times. To be honest, it's it's not our favorite. The buffet is decent, the steak cuts are arlight - the cook and temperature of the meats is inconsistent. The biggest thing I have is that they always seem to skip us with the good cuts like lamb chops. The drinks are really good and the staff is very friendly. Eating almost anywhere on Valentine's Day is expected to be absolutely insane. That is to be expected. This place was packed to the gills and exceedingly loud. When we were being brought to our seats, I noticed, toward the front of the restaurant, there were plenty of open tables but we were led all the way to the back. I had a funny feeling we wouldn't be greeted with random options of meat. The choices at the Salad Bar were less than usual. Made reservations 6 weeks in advance and we were brought all the way to the absolute back end of the restaurant. We very rarely saw a gaucho and our server had to ask us a few times what we were looking for to get a gaucho to come to the back of the restaurant. Even after all of that, the choices offered to us were very slim. the first thing I asked for was leg of lamb. By the time they got to us with the leg of lamb, it was nearly picked to the bone. Had to ask for a filet mignon and bacon wrapped filet. The bacon-wrapped filet was not a good cut of meat, had a lot of gristle in it, very hard to chew. The best two types of meat we had were the spicy sirloin and the flank steak. The flank steak nearly melted in my mouth. The filet mignon servings didn't taste like filet mignon at all. Most common filet mignon servings are 6-8 oz of meat and the servings provided to us were barely 2 oz in size and well overcooked. Not exactly sure what happened but they were not up to par that night. The end bill being close to $200 for two people (no drinks, two desserts) was a bit much. May still visit here on certain special occasions but it will not be a regular occasion. Still better than the experience we had at Fogo de Chao in National Harbor but the service was lacking pretty badly. This was a miss on their usual approach to satisfying their patrons. Again, the place was packed but putting people who made reservations 6 weeks early all the way at the back of the restaurant, literally within 5 steps of the back door, felt like a slap in the face to someone who wants to enjoy the full experience. The Manager never visited our table to check with us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. I miss the Texas de Brazil that was in Washington, DC. They definitely showed everyone that they were the best in the area until the Pandemic. read more

This was my first time trying Texas de Brazil. The all-you-can-eat (AYCE), fine dining Brazilian Steakhouse concept here is just like Fogo de Chao's, but with a livelier atmosphere and more festive dark red walls. We made a reservation in advance, though with the numerous dining options at Fair Oaks Mall, it wasn't necessary - the space is huge and plenty of seating was available. When we checked in, the hostess asked if we were celebrating any special occasions (we weren't, but I appreciate the restaurant's thoughtfulness and care). We were seated when our full party was present. Once we were escorted to our table, our server, Sonia, asked if it was our first time dining there. Since it was, she gave us an overview of the experience. Her explanation was thorough, but it can be a lot to take in if you're a first-timer. She explained the market table (buffet) offerings, which included lobster bisque as the soup of the day, and she told us which meats were included in our churrasco experience. At $64 per person for weekend lunch, it definitely is a pricey experience, but it's still comparable to Fogo's price point. We started with the market table which has salad offerings and other fresh sides, veggies, and charcuterie. Everything was neatly labeled. I enjoyed their crispy bacon, lox, fresh Parmesan, shrimp, and prosciutto. They even had goat cheese and fresh mozzarella (yum!). While there was a pineapple carpaccio offering at the market table, I do wish there was a bigger fresh fruit selection. There was also a hot section with the lobster bisque, rice, beans, potatoes, and sautéed mushrooms. The lobster bisque was a lovely luxury item but was quite salty. I also found a lot of their meats to be on the salty side... but it will get you to imbibe, and they have an impressive wine section on display. Similar to Fogo, each diner has a coaster at their table setting to signal to the waiters when you are ready for the meat (red means stop and green means go, naturally). At the first flip to green, waiters quickly approached the table with meat ready to be served. However, attentiveness waned as the restaurant got busier, and some cuts of meat never made it over to our corner table. Some waiters were better than others at noticing the green card and offering their meat. After declining the same cuts over and over, waiters were good about asking if we were looking for a specific cut and sending them over to your table. We indulged in the picanha, pork ribs, beef ribs, leg of lamb, filet mignon, and flank steak. They also have Brazilian sausage, chicken, and other flavored versions of the meats. I missed out on the lamb chops :(, but that's on me for not asking. Sonia did an excellent job of checking on the table, seeing if there was anything we needed, and refilling the drinks and complimentary Brazilian sides. We were brought their pao (cheesy bread), garlic mashed potatoes, French fries, and cinnamon sugar bananas. We enjoyed all of the sides. You do have to eat the pao when it is hot and fresh out of the oven (the bread gets harder and the cheese less melty as it cools). The standout was the bananas - the lightly sweet and crispy sugary exterior will keep you coming back for more (our table ate multiple). Dessert and drinks are not included in the AYCE price, but the bananas quelled my sweet tooth and were a satisfying way to end the meal. On a Sunday afternoon, we were able to enjoy a leisurely lunch and left stuffed. I do think I enjoyed the market table more than the salty meats, but Texas de Brazil is a worthy location to gather and enjoy the steakhouse fare. read more

Dare I say...that it might be better than Fogo de Chao?! Their Pão de queijo (cheese bread) is insane but in the best way possible. You can literally pop them like skittles. The salad bar is stacked with everything from salads to fruit to snacks to appetizers to soup and their cuts of meat get better as the night goes on. Every time I think it's my favorite, here comes another skewer to change my mind. This place is a carnivores dream, but vegetarians can enjoy the salad bar for a cheaper price. Even the dessert is perfect. The espresso is the best final touch and service is superb. Our waitress was lovely and had some great wine suggestions. The dining area is spacious, clean, and visually appealing. The bathrooms looked good too, hehe. This establishment is perfect for anyone desiring copious amounts of meat in a pretty atmosphere. Coming to this restaurant on a Saturday night, I knew it was going to be busy...and it was. However, I was seated in 5 minutes. The waiter was very knowledgeable and made few suggestions that made our dinner better. The salad buffet was ok. I didn't come here to eat salad lol. I only grabbed beets, Pickle onions, and pickle peppers from the buffet. Now the star of the night was the steak. My favorite steak was the picanha. It was tender and marinated just right. Mixed feelings about this place, but I'd say my first time was a good experience. The meat gauchos come in really fast... like twice as fast as Fogo or Chima. At first I really enjoyed it, but then it became a bit too much. I couldn't really slow down and enjoy what I was eating. I did not know what cut I liked more because they all mixed together due to their speed. I got full within 15 minutes it was ridiculous haha the meat was juicy though! The disappointment for me which knocked down a star was the Picanha. That's my favorite cut and it was chewy. Chima and Fogo make it very charred on the outside and tender on the inside... The service was horrible from the start. We were put in a back corner, when the server was servicing a large table in front of us with picanna , the guy didn't even look our way, just left. When we asked our server about being past over, she said would make sure someone comes around with picanna and filet. They then sent two little chorizo, we declined, spicy sirloin, we declined, and then bacon wrapped filet, which we also declined. The only part of the meal that came to us in less than the 15min from when we sat down was cheese bread, mashed potatoes, French fries and fried banana. When we finally got picanna, it wasn't fresh, it was Luke warm. And we could see others in the restaurant getting different one that looked alot better than what we were served. We was first asked, had we been there before, we said no, but my Fiance is from Brazil and we go to many restaurants. The salad bar is so fresh, I wouldn't recommend the prosciutto though there were bones in it. I had to spit it out. Ever since I moved away from home, I've been going to Texas de Brazil for my Thanksgiving Day meal. It's become my tradition and I'm so happy for it! The food and service are among the best I've ever experienced at any restaurant. I always feel welcomed and appreciated while I'm there. They also serve some of the best, tender, juicy turkey breast I've ever had! Their Thanksgiving day items are delicious and I always make sure I get at least 1 plate of the traditional fixings but I come for the meats! The leg of lamb with some creamy horseradish sauce is my favorite combo! The shrimp at the salad bar is really good too! Obviously, the picanha is amazing and I usually get multiple servings. And the flank steak dipped in the chimichurri sauce! Everything is sooo sooo good! The restaurant is a dark red color with heavy decor elements. Lots of dark wood accessories that give off a royalty feeling. I feel like a millionaire when I'm there! This is one of my favorite Brazilian steakhouses. They serve a variety of different meats ranging from varying cuts of steak, lamb, chicken and pork. They also have a huge salad bar that includes lots of veggies and sides to accompany the meat. Compared to other Brazilian steakhouses, I think the quality here is pretty good and the meat is always seasoned well. First, I apologize for not taking pictures of any of the meats, but they were goood, and I didn't want to stop to take pictures! This spot is much more grand than I expected from the outside, as I pass it going to fair oaks mall. The interior is very nice, and although it's advertised to dress business casual, many guests wore jeans and tshirts. I went for lunch, and I was stuffed for the whole day! They have a huge selection of salads and veggies, as well as charcuterie boards and soups! It's a huge buffet that goes well with the meats. I'd recommend getting their chilled string beans to go with the meats! For first timers, they have cards with green (please serve me) and red (don't serve me) cards, to let the waiters know that you want a cut of their meats. There are tongs you use to grab the slices. I liked the ribeye the best, that the waiter who was bringing it around kept coming back to me! It was wonderful! Overall, a great experience. Went to this location for Mother's Day. Had a reservation, but it was not overly crowded. It was our first time there. We have been to Fogo a bunch of times, and definitely prefer Fogo. The TdB salad bar was ok. Nothing there that I loved. It was pretty basic. The cheeses had little flavor, the meats had a weird texture. My favorite thing at the salad bar were the beets. The gauchos that served the meats were all nice, and came around often. The lamb chops were overcooked and dry. The leg of lamb was better. Most of the meats were too salty IMO. Never saw the filet mignon. My favorite hot dish was the fried bananas. The other sides were just ok. The drinks were overpriced and not good. The pina colada ($17) had an artificial taste. Finally, I can't believe the $62pp dinner did not include dessert. They come around and offer dessert to you, and mumble that it's ala carte. ($11-13 a slice) I will skip Texas de Brazil next time, and stick with Fogo de Chao. read more

I visited Texas de Brazil on January 30 for my birthday with a group of 11 adults, and unfortunately it turned into one of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. From the beginning, the meat service was extremely slow. Long periods passed with no service, and when meat finally arrived it was only enough for about 5 people, leaving the rest of the table waiting and forced to eat from the salad bar. This was embarrassing since I invited my family to celebrate my birthday. When we asked multiple times for meat, it eventually arrived raw/undercooked despite clearly requesting medium-well and well-done. One incident was especially upsetting: I received meat that was supposed to be well-done but it was still bleeding, and the blood spilled over my rice, completely ruining my appetite. Toward the end, the check was brought without being requested while my family was still eating, which made us feel rushed. After payment, the manager insisted I choose a suggested tip (18% or 20%), and both the manager and the server stood nearby repeatedly pressuring us to take the check folder and leave. There was no acknowledgment of my birthday, no courtesy gesture, and no effort to make the occasion special or even acceptable. read more

My wife and I have been to an assortment of Brazilian steak places across the country and she suggested this one to my surprise. With the unlimited meat, I was definitely happy to enjoy such delicious and tender cuts. The salad bar didn't wow me to keep visiting. I do like a good salad and sides but this one seemed to simply check the block for me. They had a platter of desserts near it but they were for an additional charge. I was a little taken back that I had my marker on red yet servers continued to come ask us if we wanted meat which made it challenging to talk and enjoy while also being interrupted. The restaurant is fresh looking and interesting to look at, and what seemed like a slow evening quickly became a busy restaurant for a decent price per person. We enjoyed our visit but weren't overwhelmed by the moment and may seek other options before returning. The drinks are costly and overrated. I've been to one other Texas de Brazil in Nashville and our dinner was terrible, so I was a bit apprehensive when visiting this one. Thank goodness it surpassed all expectations. The salad bar is adequate. I have been to others that have more selection, but this does have lots to choose from. I don't know if I would want to solely do the salad bar here like I can do at others, but it is a great addition to the meats. The goat cheese was absolutely to die for and the chimmicurri sauce was spectacular. There were lots of cheeses, vegetables, soups, potatoes, and more to choose from. The table also has mashed potatoes, fries, fried banana, and cheese rolls. The meats came out medium rare as requested and the couple times they came by telling us medium or another temperature, we politely declined. It was nice to have the offer though. The only thing I wish this place (chain) has is the pineapple on the skewers. Those are always the most delicious and none have had them. But, the meats were amazing and they even had jalapeno poppers. What a fun surprise. The service was amazing. On top of it with food and drink. Never lagged and we never waited long for more meat. Out of all the chain restaurants this is the least expensive.
