From the moment we were seated until the end of our meal, he was attentive, professional, personable, and genuinely committed to making our dining experience exceptional. Fabricio anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. He made outstanding recommendations, and checked on us at just the right times without ever being intrusive. His warm personality, attention to detail, and passion for providing excellent hospitality truly set him apart. Valet Parking Attendant was so rude. The staff at fogo de chao was friendly and attentive, and I really enjoyed their pineapple juice drink, however one of the parking attendants had the worst attitude I've seen at any fogo location. He said you don't even have $5 in cash for valet?? Shook his head and pulled out his phone so I could pay through apple pay. I don't even know why I tipped him when he was so kurt with me and drove my car so carelessly. The valet service is the first and last impression of any fine dining experience, so my friend and I were disappointed. I think it really depends on the management on the day you decide to do business here. Since it is always hit or miss I'm going to settle with 2 stars. Sometimes it's amazing. The to-go options are usually reasonably priced, unless they forget half the order... sometimes the food and service are spectacular, until you organize a 50 person event for dinner on a weekday and they refuse to bring our beef / picanha even if you ask for it multiple multiple times. You get dry chicken. Dry bacon wrapped something and pork. Not beef not steak. We had 50 people and really one server with meat. They would go straight to the first table close to the entrance of the Private room. Run out of meat. Then go back to the kitchen. The expensive drinks came almost immediately. I would strongly suggest Chima for an in Person event. I sat and kept going to the salad bar had to go home and make my own dinner. Never again. You can take a risk of getting the butcher meat / celebration packages catered here but always check the packaging before you leave the premises. I've been a customer either in person or to go for over a decade and ordered at least 50 times. For almost $100 a person with my generous tipping policy. No longer a fan. Not a recommend. Pass. Go. Listen- I am no newbie to Fogo de Chão. Sadly, this means that I know the difference between good quality service and subpar. Having that been said, I would highly suggest you visit a different location. The management and the servers don't seem very attentive to customer needs or satisfaction! There were so many times food was brought over and utensils were never provided. It was really difficult to tell who was our server and often times the people that helped us. The most appeared to just be surface from the table next to us or even the water servers! Every time we come here, it's to celebrate something either a birthday or Valentine's Day and unfortunately the Tysons corner Fogo has not made our experience excellent for the past two experiences. This is why I feel so confident to say that the Reston location appears to be much more well managed. In the all you can eat Brazilian steak restaurant categories there is so much competition: chima, Fogo, Texas de Brazil and sadly I will be picking differently next time. The last time I went to Fogo de Chao (NYC location) was over three years ago, and I was looking forward to dining here again at their Tysons location. My friends and I were here for lunch last weekend where we enjoyed the FULL CHURRASCO experience for 65pp. Before we enjoyed the steak, we grabbed some food from the buffet that had ample of salads, cheeses, charcuterie options, and more. I avoided grabbing too much from the buffet because I wanted my fill of steak. I did enjoy the Caesar salad and mushrooms. During the time we were dining, it was pretty crowded, and I don't think we got to try all the types of available meats. Servers will do their best to stop by every table with meats on a large skewer, and if wanted any of it, they would slice off a piece for us. However, I did enjoy both top and bottom sirloin cuts (Picanha and Fraldinha). Both cuts were roasted perfectly and lightly seasoned with rock salt. If I'm ever back at Fogo, I'll make sure to ask for extra pieces of these two. Besides the sirloin, most meats were just OK. There was a garlic steak that was weirdly pasty and unappetizing. The lamb options were incredibly greasy and fatty. I avoided the sausage and chicken since I was here for red meats. Throughout the meal, the servers brought us sides to share, like garlic mashed potatoes and pão de queijo (Brazilian cheese bread). The pão de queijo had a chewy, mochi like texture -- incredibly addictive with its buttery and savory flavors. To end the meal, we were given a few desserts (cheesecake with strawberry drizzle, chocolate molten cake, and key lime pie) to share. Very sweet desserts, but the chocolate was my favorite. Overall, the food was incredibly heavy and rich, and I don't think I ate my money's worth. After about 10 cuts of all the meats (and sharing some cuts with friends), I thought my stomach was going to implode. It's a nice and luxurious experience, but I personally wouldn't dine at Fogo de Chao more than once every few years. read more

Today we dined at Fogo which used to be a family favorite for us. We will not be dining here after the worst possible food AND service experience from Khalifa & Samir. Khalifa brought me the wrong drink, forgot our bread basket after saying he was bringing it three times, and didn't bring us any yucca, mashed potatoes, plantains or the chimcurri sauce we asked for three times. Still, we were fine as we understand mistakes happen but then we realized we were being totally ignored. Everytime we'd ask where are the items he would say "oh it's coming," and it NEVER came. Usually this place is defined by its teamwork but if we knew coming here at 8:30pm on a Thursday would mean we'd get the worst possible service and not even the food we paid for we would have opted out. We then had a period of 20 minutes STRAIGHT where we weren't offered anything but lamb chops in the first 5 minutes, which weren't good today. I once again let our server know and 15 minutes went by without anything being brought over. That's when I asked another service for manager intervention and NO manager came for atleast ten minutes. It was not busy in there, as I stated we were being ignored so they could shut down clearly. We started wondering if the kitchen closed and no one told us. The first "manager" came, barely said anything and said sorry the foods coming. By the time the food came out we didn't even want it, after taking a break like that you don't even want to eat anymore. And the meat they brought out was grey like it had the SpongeBob suds. We asked for the check and they gave us the family and friend discount despite none of us even being halfway full & not having received 40 percent of the menu items. Nobody even came back and said anything and the real manager was just doing nothing. The server then took FOREVER with my card and I had to go relieve my baby sitter. When I go ask for my card the manager Samir who ignored me the whole time, even after the issue did not say one word to us but at this moment decided to say "it's all good here." I realized we were intentionally being disrespected and treated as we were upset for nothing? I was completely shocked. Instead of him saying sorry he tells me it's all good, and I have the best chef in the kitchen as if that matters ? The manager was confrontational and showed us no respect. TURKEY was so juicy, goes well with their mashed potatoes, and tried the lentil soup for the first time - delish. They have sauces you can request to go with their meat- chimichurri, horse radish, and a salsa/hot sauce- HIGHLY RECOMMEND mixing all three on your plate. I've dined at several Fogo de Chão locations, and unfortunately the Tyson's Corner location had the worst customer service I've experienced. We were a party of 8, and our server completely forgot our alcoholic drinks. After waiting 30 minutes, we had to involve a manager just to get them brought out. We also ordered a seafood tower, and as it was being brought to the table, it collapsed--green-lipped mussels fell onto the floor. Instead of properly remaking the presentation, the staff simply split the remaining items into two bowls and served it that way, which felt careless and unprofessional. Service continued to be inconsistent. I asked another server for a crab cracker three separate times, and she forgot each time. A manager eventually had to step in again to bring it. Food quality was also disappointing. The shrimp on the tower was excellent, but the lobster claws tasted frozen and waterlogged--no one at the table wanted to eat them. When we asked for a discount due to the poor quality, we were told the chef could cook it instead. That resulted in rubbery, overcooked lobster that was even worse. Overall, this experience was frustrating and disappointing, especially compared to other locations. I'd recommend visiting other Fogo de Chão locations like DC or Virginia Beach instead. If you're in the Tyson's area, Chima Steakhouse offers a much better Brazilian steakhouse experience. read more

We decided to try the Tyson's Fogo de Chao after being disappointed by the Reston location. We found the Tyson's location to be better, for the most part. The market table was well stocked and everything tasted fresh. The pacing of bringing out the meats was good. We did have a few pieces that were well done, which I didn't enjoy. Also, they brought by the bacon wrapped chicken atleast 6 times while other meats we were never offered. The service was pretty good, at the beginning they came over frequently but by the end we started getting less service. The location is beautiful and feels current. We love fogo! All you can eat meats and salad bar for a nice occasion as it is $$$$. You start with the salad bar which has everything from rice, soup, salad, fruit, charcuterie. The candied bacon is one of my favorites. You get a card which you can turn to on or off and this indicates if you want them to come by with the meat or not. Once at your table, they will ask how you like your meat cooked. They also bring out little bread balls, bananas etc that keep coming regularly. We love Brazilian steak houses! We were super excited to come here. Driving up the place looked nice. The place is big but not huge like chima. We went in a decent size group of about 6 people. I got the bronzino and my bro got the waygu steak. Everyone else got the Brazilian FULL CHURRASCO. They did get food immediately. My bro and I waited for a long time to get our food. When we finally got our food everyone else was done eating. My bronzino was huge and delicious!! Everyone like it!! We were also disappointed by the salad bar. I would have to pay extra for the salad bar since I didn't do FULL CHURRASCO, so that was disappointing. My wife was not overly impressed with the options. Multiple times throughout the meal, our server asked if we wanted additional drinks, but despite saying yes, the drinks never arrived. We went on a Wednesday night and ordered some drinks from the bar with their all day everyday happy hour. The Malbec was great! We had a large group because we were celebrating a birthday. They accommodated 8 of us. I knocked off a star because by 8pm the cold bar wasn't looking so great. It looked like everything had been sitting out all day and picked through. Overall good experience here. We visited the other night for a friend's birthday. The food was overall good and what we've come to expect from Fogo. The meat quality here is very good. They didn't come around as often since it was a tad later so that was unfortunate, but I get it. Our birthday celebrant ordered the tomahawk steak as well and it was really good! It came with some salt to sprinkle on top and a chimichurri sauce. The salad bar is also a good place to start but don't fill up there! The service was not what I was expecting for a Wednesday night. It wasn't very busy and it seemed very dysfunctional. Half the time it was like they couldn't hear us when we asked for things. Had to ask multiple times for them to open the bottles of wine. The guy at the bar was chill though. He was helpful in getting beers before we sat down at the table. The ambiance is slightly fancier. This Fogo location is probably the worst in the DC area (which has at least four other locations). Logistically, they have valet parking, but you can also self-park (both options for a fee) in the garage across from the entrance. The food offerings and format are on par with what you would expect from Fogo. However, the service is very remedial. For example, on our most recent visit there seemed to be some confusion over who was waiting on our table, and both servers were not very present/attentive throughout the meal. As for the food, the gauchos repeatedly passed by, and the market table was often low on stock and was not very well replenished even though we went to check on several occasions. Overall, this location has a lot of room for improvement as far as service and quality, and I would not recommend it. read more

This visit was supposed to be a corporate courtesy visit to make up for a very unpleasant experience at another Fogo location back in June. I recently celebrated a major milestone and decided to use this visit to commemorate that experience. I made reservations through the AI phone system and provided all of the details. However, I don't trust AI so the day of the reservation I called to confirm everything that they had all of the details regarding my visit The person who answered the phone did not understand what I was asking for and handed the phone to a manager (I believe his name was Hamid) who was not polite at all. When I asked him to repeat back the information I gave him to confirm accuracy, he snapped at me and said "You started talking when I was trying to talk." instead of simply asking me to repeat the information. The tone was unnecessary and rude, and I already did not have high hopes for this visit. Unfortunately the experience ended up being even worse than expected. After we were seated it took a long time for a server to even acknowledge us. It took even longer for the staff to come by with any meat. We repeatedly watched staff walk right past our table even though our coasters were on the green side indicating that we were ready to be served. I also watched staff members head back to the kitchen with at least partially full skewers without stopping at our table at all. When someone did stop by it was usually the cuts I do not eat like lamb, bacon wrapped steak, or bacon wrapped chicken. The cuts I actually wanted were nowhere to be found. Even when I finally received food, the temperature was wrong. I repeatedly asked for medium steaks and at least half of what I was given was well done. My guest asked for medium lamb chops and was served tough and chewy chops that were very overcooked. I sat at the table for ridiculously long time with nothing on my plate at all because at any given time there was only one, maybe two staff members on the floor serving meats. We complained to at least two different servers that we were not getting a good rotation and that people were constantly skipping over us. We noticed the same thing happening to the table near us as well. At one point I even flagged down someone who was holding the exact cut of meat I wanted. I made eye contact with him, and his manager even tapped him and gestured toward our table. This person still chose to return to the kitchen instead of come to our table. At that point, I just gave up. A server did offer complimentary dessert and that was honestly the only highlight. The brulee cheesecake was delicious and I appreciated the gesture. It took nearly 20 minutes after that for us to receive the check. During that time, two new tables were seated beside us and had a completely different experience. They were offered cuts that we never saw. Filet mignon. Chicken thighs. Back to back service. At one point there was literally a line of servers at their table offering food. Watching that difference in real time made the experience feel even worse because my guest noticed it too. This was supposed to be a celebratory dinner and I left feeling frustrated and incredibly disappointed. The sad part is that this was corporate's idea of making things right after the last location ruined another special occasion. These back to back situations have made it crystal clear that Fogo de Chao is not the place to celebrate anything important, and we did not receive the full experience at all. It also has to be said that the condition of the bathrooms was terrible. Wallpaper ripped off in multiple places. Some parts taped up and falling down. One of the bathrooms did not function at all. For a restaurant that claims to be a premium dining experience, the attention to detail was completely absent. This location was not even busy so there is no excuse for being ignored the way we were. I was at a competing steakhouse down the street last week. It was packed and I still received outstanding service. If that place can handle a crowd with professionalism, then this place has no excuse. I am done with Fogo de Chao. They have shown me that my business is not valued and that I cannot rely on them for a positive dining experience. I will not be returning to this or any other location. read more

It's Fogo-- what's not to like? Great place for an occasional indulgent meal. Lots of tasty meats on swords. Sometimes they have pork belly which is great! Recently, I feel they haven't been as busy as of late. So it is weird going to a half empty restaurant. Additionally, I feel they have been cutting back of serving the more expensive cuts of meat and have moved some cuts under the a-la-carte menu (ie not included in the AYCE option; eg beef ribs). Try not to get seared in the back room because the servers don't go there that often. You'll feel abandoned. Parking is annoying because it is paid. read more

What I'm writing about here today is the valet staff. This is not a cheap restaurant, it's not in a cheap neighborhood or location. So, yes...you expect to tip when the dude brings your car around. But, you also expect a little bit of customer service in exchange, right? My guy didn't attempt to open my or my wife's door, didn't say a word didn't even walk toward my car! Just held out his hand for a tip. Didn't even say thank you after the tip was delivered. For an elevated and not cheap dining experience, I found it to be rude and unprofessional...and that is coming from a former valet! Also, I'm now mad at myself for actually tipping him...that's my bad. I will not be making that mistake again. Bad service...small or no tip for him next time. I really like Fogo de Chao here at the Tysons location. The "Full Experience" that includes all the meats is very much worth its price. The food tastes great and the service every time I've come here has been amazing. The meat comes to the table faster than you can eat what's on your plate. The sidebar has a lot to offer and tastes great as well from eggplants to salads, etc. I have also tried the All Day Happy Hour here as well, which for food is only offered at the bar. But they have All Day Happy Hour drinks that are offered at bar and table which includes $5 Stella Artois which is great. The Happy Hour food offered tastes good and have good prices for example a $10 burger which is very big. It is a nice switch up from the all you can eat experience. I have come here a couple of times already and I will continue to in the future. Also, valet parking is offered when you pull up to the front of restaurant and it is only $5 before tip, I highly recommend using this option for every visit. read more

In my opinion, this is the best Fogo de Chão in the DMV area. The salad bar is always well-stocked, and servers are consistently circulating with their premium cuts of meat. My favorites are the filet mignon, picanha, and alcatra (all medium, though customers can request their preferred doneness). I also want to mention our server, Emily, who was incredibly attentive and always within sight. We asked her several questions, and she had all the answers. Her excellent service really made our experience memorable! This particular Fogo is stunning--spacious enough for larger events and with lighting that creates a more intimate, date-night vibe. The restaurant's interior is spacious and airy, with floor-to-ceiling windows that stream in natural light, modern and elegant decor, and an impressive chandelier made of what appears to be rope. A bay window on one side of the dining room provides a view into the kitchen, where white-clad chefs are hard at work. When we arrived, the restaurant was sparsely populated, but it quickly filled up as the business lunch hour approached. We opted for the Market Table experience ($18/person), which allows access to a generous spread of fresh seasonal salads, exotic vegetables, aged cheeses, smoked salmon, cured meats, seasonal soup, Fogo feijoada (a traditional black bean stew with sausage), rice, fresh orange, farofa (baked yuca flour with bacon), and more. While the signature Churrasco experience ($46 at lunch) offers continuous tableside service of fire-roasted meats, we found the Market Table more than sufficient for our appetite that day. Two members of our party supplemented their meal with Frango (Chicken, $8), an all-you-can-eat option where you signal to servers for cuts of meat by turning your card to the green side. Service, however, was a bit slow. It took a while to inform our server that we wanted the Market Table experience, and the members of our party who ordered the chicken didn't receive any meat until 30 minutes into our meal. Despite this, the Market Table itself was a highlight. It featured an array of roasted vegetables (the eggplant and cauliflower were standouts), salads (the beet salad was a favorite), charcuterie (don't miss the smoked salmon and prosciutto), and hot items like their flavorful Feijoada, which can be customized with various toppings. The Market Table experience also includes Fogo de Chao's signature sides, such as the famous Pao de Queijo--soft, almost-tapioca-like Brazilian cheese bread that melts in the mouth. The crispy Polenta Fries, sprinkled with Parmesan, were crunchy yet tender inside. The buttery Mashed Potatoes, complemented with fresh chives, and fried plantains, which were just sweet enough but a bit greasy for my taste, rounded out the meal. One member of our party, a vegetarian, ordered the Seared Tofu and Sesame Black Bean Pasta for an additional $22. She enjoyed it, and the portion was generous, but since the Sesame Black Bean Pasta is also available at the Market Table, it would have been nice to have something unique to that order. We ended our meal by sharing the Crème Brûlée ($12.50). The portion was large, with a creamy custard that had a rich vanilla bean flavor, fresh berries on top, and a perfectly textured sugar crust. It was one of the best I've ever had and ample for the four of us to share. Overall, we highly enjoyed our lunch at Fogo de Chao. Despite the slow service, the quality of the food and the stellar atmosphere made it a worthwhile experience. It's certainly a great deal for lunch, and I would love to return to indulge in their signature Churrasco experience for dinner sometime. read more

I have been to both Fogos in the area (Reston and Tysons) and I have had pleasant experiences in both of them! The food overall in Tysons was pretty good! They had a more expansive set-up of the salad bar in this location compared to Reston. I did love the bacon medallions in both steak and chicken. The tres leches cake was ah-mazing! Not a fan of meringue but this compliments the berries and tres leches cake perfectly. I will say they do offer valet but it is $5 and is not officially associated with Fogo from what it looks like. Had the worst experience at this Fogo de Chao. I've been to this location multiple times, along with other locations around the US, and I had NEVER experienced a servers upruptly leaving our table after serving one person. This incident happened twice! We had a party of 9 to celebrate one of our friend's birthday. We all really wanted picanha, as we were at a Churrasco. After patiently waiting, rejecting/eating small portions of other meats that came by, FINALLY the picanha server arrived. As mentioned earlier, he only served one person, and then left immediately. He made 0 eye contact with any one, did not even make a single comment. Upset about this, I asked our server if we could please get some picanha. Eventually, the same picanha server arrived, and same exact experience! He only served one person, and left immediately again, with 0 eye contact. Upset about this, I reached out to my server again. I explained the situation about how the picanha server literally only served a single person, and left without even offering more to anyone else. Eventually the same exact picanha server arrived, and he did not seem pleased (was he before? zero customer service). He than proceeded to slam our slices of picanha on our plates before leaving again. After this incident, I will no longer be visiting Tyson's location. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a Fogo de Chao. read more
