Made a reservation a week ahead of time for Valentine's Day for 8pm for 2. Arrived at 7:45pm to see a completely packed lobby with many just standing around. We go to check in, and apparently our name wasn't even there (we booked through Google and clicked Reserve a table), but they said they'll take our name down. I ask how long will it take, I'm told 30-45 minutes. I ask "even with a reservation at 8?" They said yes, everyone here has a reservation. So, needless to say, a reservation is useless for this Red Lobster. I'll add more once I get my cheddar biscuits. Updated review: Once we finally got sat, after I started noticing people who got here after us were getting seated I asked why they are going before us, so they sat us next, we were sat in the bar section. It was definitely loud everywhere, but for it being Valentine's Day, I wasn't really surprised. We sat there for 15-20 minutes without being spoken to once. I randomly asked a server who's section this was, and he said the bartenders, but he can take care of us and apologized no one had came and spoken to us. His name was Ethan. Now, Ethan was the best part of our visit, because aside from him being super helpful it went downhill from there. My wife's food was just great for her, and of course the biscuits were a hit. However, I ordered the Surf and Turf combo and asked for my steak medium. Not a difficult task. Ethan brought our food after about 30-40 minutes. And asked what I thought about the steak. It looked like it was grilled for 30-40 minutes, it was well WELL done and charred on top. He apologized for that and said he'd take it back to get it fixed. He comes back out about 10ish minutes later and delivers a juicy steak. However, I cut it in half, and its rare, like purple/blue in the middle rare. He said "ya, that's definitely not done, lemme take that back AGAIN." He comes back out, literally like 5 minutes later with a heart shaped steak.... I'm telling you, this was more rare than the previous one. He is visibly upset with his kitchen now and asks what I want to do. So I ask if he thinks if they can cook a filet mignon, he said probably not based on the last 3. So I just get a salmon filet and end up getting that togo... They took care of the entrees which is about the least they should do and he threw in a couple extra biscuits for me to take home and again apologized a lot. So I want to point out that your server Ethan went above and beyond to try and help us and was literally the only good part of that entire experience. He deserves a raise and employee of the month if you have it. read more

I got the Endless Shrimp option which gives you unlimited shrimp dishes and one side dish for $24.99. They're all seasoned and many of the shrimp dishes have a lot of butter on them. This will fill you up quickly. I am a heavy eater and only got through 6 dishes before getting stuffed. I wouldn't say the shrimp was anything special but it gets the job done. Their Red Lobster biscuits are to die for. They're super good! Staff was nice and checked back often although it did take a while for our first dishes to arrive. Our family has enjoyed Red Lobster for so many years so we incorporate pick up and delivery service as well. There's no limitations with us regarding location and expect the same quality every time. On a recent visit (July 26) to this Fairfax restaurant we chose to order to go and I have to say the customer service was wonderful. The waitress at the bar (Ms Mary) even volunteered a second round of drinks (refill) to go after our order was ready. My son and I ordered a dozen biscuits, lobster flatbread, and two southwest shrimp bowls. The biscuits were not salty, the food was beautifully presented in each dish and the flat bread was soooo filling; I could only eat one piece of that. The shrimp was perfect, not overcooked. At the time the restaurant was quiet, not many customers; although a family did arrive to celebrate a birthday and a gentleman was enjoying his meal at the bar with us. We ordered the mariner boil and paid $50 for like 5 crab legs, 2 mini cobs of corn, and 10 small shrimp. It just was not worth the price and it tasted cheap. We are pretty disappointed because everything was swamped with butter and overall mediocre. The best part of my meal was the free bread and the best part of the experience was leaving. My son & I came here for an early dinner around 5pm. This is the closest Red Lobster to Tysons. Unless I wanted to drive to Dulles. The restaurant was pretty empty when we showed up. I think we caught a shift change so that's why we waited about 7 mins before our server came over. We were ready to order. 2 iced waters, a basket of cheddar bay biscuits & we shared the Ultimate Feast. We decided on snow crab legs, Maine lobster tail, shrimp scampi and grilled shrimp. Our 2 sides were house salad and loaded baked potato. That cost extra $1.99 each. Not a big deal. The biscuits of course were salty, buttery, cheesy, crusty on the outside, pillowly soft on the inside. The salad came out with the biscuits. I ordered with thousand island dressing. The veggies were fresh, cold and crisp. Cheese, tomatoes, lettuce of all sorts, onions and croutons. All mixed together were a symphony of textures, flavors and temperatures. The main course came out. Our server brought out plastic gloves! That's a first. The plate was extremely hot. The food was piping hot as well. The snow crabs were good but we know they were steamed from frozen. The lobster was a little overcooked but still good. The two types of shrimp were also very good and flavorful. Maybe a tad bit overcooked on the grilled shrimp but the shrimp scampi in garlic butter was succulent. Service was good as it was our server's first day. We overheard another booth giving her a hard time with their demands and requests. Very very annoying. I hooked her with a 40% tip for her service and for having to deal with the difficult booth. A lot of value for what you pay for. Cheddar bay biscuits are warm and cheesy; super fat and oily goodness that should be enjoyed in moderation. Calamari is slightly spicy even though the inside is squishy, but the outside is crispy. Fair Mac and cheese that probably deserved a bit more salt and cheese. Server Manuella was super attentive without being hover-y and especially patient and easy-going with an elderly guest who was quite particular. It made me wonder if she adores her own grandparents, projecting this level of empathy and patience toward this guest she's never seen before. This skill of human relations is rare these days, so it was impressive to witness this respectful interaction. Manager Andrew was also very respectful, professional, and seemed like he actually cared about his job and our experience, adding to our overall positive evening out. It seemed he had a good and appropriate manager-staff/teamwork-style rapport with Manuella, which always helps with morale, which spills over to the customer experience. We are so grateful! Addy was the host on shift, she assisted with the door and was very polite! We had our own room for a party of over 25. The two servers, Ramsey and Ethan, and they were fantastic. This seafood joint has been around for so long! Sort of a vintage place now with its older styled dining tables and booths; and just the overall aesthetic of the place. Service was simple - nothing extraordinary nor special Food is pretty simple as it can be: I still think their biscuits is probably one of their best items - super soft, buttery, and flavorful. Their brussels sprouts are nice and crispy - but too much sauce slathered on it. Their coconut shrimp isn't bad but maybe a little too sweet and walter's shrimp is just fried shrimp. Their scallops are pretty good though! I also had their crab legs which were delicious and had a lot of flavor (think i'll stick to just simply steamed next time instead of the garlic). Their sides are a bit overwhelming - either too much grease, butter, very heavy. Overall 5.5/10. Someone was craving the new seafood boil lol so we went to the location with the most stars in the area. We waited a lil minute at the hostess stand but everyone was quick and kind after that. I ordered the lobster pasta which I honestly don't recommend but the veggies, langostino and lobster were very good cooked fresh (I just didn't like the sauce it came with). I ordered a side of salmon filet and it was cooked so perfectly!! I couldn't believe it ! lol these are the reasons why I definitely would come back to this location . It has been too long since our last visit to Red Lobster!! We generally don't go out for seafood because most restaurants overcook the entrees and tend to be over priced. Our meal this evening was excellent; my wife had the two way shrimp with one way as garlic shrimp scampi and the other as shrimp over street corn. I had the broiled lobster tail along with shrimp scampi. The dishes were cooked perfectly. Tender, moist shrimp seasoned appropriately and served promptly with sides of fully loaded baked potatoes. Flavorful lobster, again cooked to perfection. Generous portions and incredibly inexpensive. Wow! The entire restaurant facility is spotlessly clean, airy and neat. All the servers were pleasant and attentive. Rita S. Made us feel so welcome and well taken care of. Almost forgot to mention the famously fresh and delicious bay cheese biscuits we were served as we reviewed the menu. We will definitely return to try some of our other favorites. The Dragon Calamari and hot crab dip looked amazingly inviting, but we will have to appetize with them next time. I have been visiting this location for probably about 15+ years now. I never have a bad meal here. Post-Covid, I was very nervous to visit as I know a lot of chain restaurants are hit or miss these days, however, we've had great meals every time. For the last year or so when visiting, I'd always order off a special menu they have where you can pick an app, salad, and an entree and it is around $18-20 or so. I love the cocktail shrimp and their blackened salmon is just as good as Sweetwater or Patsy's but at a fraction of the cost. My dad always gets the seaside shrimp trio and the linguine is so GOOD. Last time we tried the crispy Brussels and the lobster stuffed mashed potatoes as sides and they are worth the extra charge, so delicious! We've also received good service and usually are able to get some biscuits to go with leftovers. This place is also usually not that crowded so we get seated easily. There is a lot of parking and it's easy to locate right off of the highway. read more

12/2/22 Ahh Red Lobster, A place we haven't visited since last year.  This time however, we brought a friend and had a better time hanging out with friends and family; as well, as eatting great food. I ordered the Fish&Chips once again, but this time wanted the Popcirn Shrimp too.  It wasn't the all you can eat Popcorn Shrimp, but the serving size was big enough.  My wife and Fatima ordered the same kind of soup and salad with broccoli.   I don't remember the name of the soup. Fatima had never tried Popcorn  Shrimp and asked to try one of mine. I could tell my the expression on her face that she like the hot taste and flavor of the Popcorn Shrimp.   I offered her more, but she didn't take anymore for her own reasons.  I suspect when we come back here again, she will be ordering her own plate of Popcorn Shrimp.  Our server is named Rick (I believe) and he was accurate on taking our orders and bring the food out at a timely manner.      The restaurant wasn't  packed, but it busy enough for crewmembers to be busy.  I disliked it when it was slow in the food service industry myself.   The food I had was filling and we did not ordered a dessert.   Since I had two gift cards that had not been used for years, I thought I would used them after making sure the balances were still good. Our server was surprised to see these cards, because they seem to be out of circulation, but still functioning and active.  The cost came to $80 something, but after the gift cards and paying three ways, the cost  was minor.  I still think the Lobster would rather take their chances in the sea than in a glass box.  Yes, they might get eaten alive, but I guess it is better than being boiled or slowly boiled I  water.  Great times here and we will be back again. read more

Took my Mom to the Red Lobster in Fairfax last night for an early dinner, and must say we had a wonderful time! The food was delicious and our waitress outstanding. I hadn't been to a Red Lobster in more than 20 years, but decided to take a chance since this one is near my mom's new home. We were both impressed by how cute it was inside: great lobster shack feel, right down to the large blue tiled accent wall in the main dining room which features huge white lobsters on it. We both ordered a bowl of Clam Chowder, and the Twin Lobster Tails meal with identical sides: coleslaw and fully loaded baked potato. And of course, we had their yummy Cheddar Bay Biscuits. Everything was delicious! And we couldn't have asked for a better server. Melanie exuded happiness, and when I told her as such, she said "I like to show LOVE to my customers." Even though we were almost done eating, she brought us over a new basket of Biscuits, along with a to-go bag, saying... "If you don't eat these here, they'll taste great warmed up at home!" We'll definitely be back! (One final note: My Mom is in a wheelchair, and the restaurant was very accommodating. The host immediately took us to a table with chairs in the Main Dining Room, and took away a chair, so that Mom could remain in her wheelchair. Also, there are at least 4 handicapped parking spaces, but they definitely get filled quickly. When we arrived at 4:30pm on a Saturday, we were the only one to use a handicapped space, but when we were leaving at 6pm, there was actually someone waiting to take our space.) read more

First off I'd like to thank the original owner of Red Lobster. He fought segregation of people in the south, long before a lot of folks considered it. He risked his life, legacy, and restaurants but believed all humans should dine together. That is an amazing story, and my recommendation is to look this up, as fascinating and bold. This restaurant isn't what it used to be. The lobster and shrimp nights of the past, don't seem so wonderful in the present. One thing to be wary of is the meals sodium count. Unfortunately a lot of their entrees are loaded with salt. My recommendation is salmon with vegetables, or something along those lines. Then again every once in awhile indulge. Tis a shame that the shrimp nights now are overpriced and underwhelming. I do think the service is alright, but they seem to have a lot of trouble retaining wait staff. They aren't alone in this, but there's no quick meals anymore. Inflation has caused their prices to increase a lot. If it's the only seafood choice it's alright, but there are local places that are better. read more

I ordered the steak and lobster tail meal to go. This was a mistake. When I got home, I tried to eat the meal. The top of the lobster was fairly firm but underneath was mush so I was afraid to eat it. The baked potato had to be 2 or 3 days old. I contacted Red Lobster about the issue and I was referred to the GM. He did return my call and left a message. I then called back twice more and left messages but no response. Visited this restaurant on a Friday and was seated fairly quickly. Our server, Tony, was very friendly and patient. He recommended the coconut shrimp appetizer and it was awesome! The piña colada sauce was very interesting, I never tasted anything like it. For our entrees, my boyfriend and I ordered filet mignon with brussel sprouts and Bar Harbour Lobster Bake (This dish could easily feed 2 people), which were both delicious. Had a craving for BISCUITS after leaving Georgetown! It's plenty of parking, looks to have been renovated, very pretty from the outside. Upon entering, we were greeted and seated promptly. Darren took care of us today. He greeted us, presented menus, brought us water with straws and gave us time to reviewing the revamped menu! Then it happened? The BISCUITS arrived! Time to eat, and just like that I was over the moon. These biscuits are forever my favorite item on their menu! I devoured 2 immediately then took a pic for my review! I was so happy and my tastebuds were pleased! We started with the mozzarella sticks that came out fresh and hot within a short period of time of order placement! Delicious, then our meal came and took one bite of the tacos and it was everything that I craved that day! Not surprisingly I got full quick between the BISCUITS, cheesesticks and beverage!
