I love this Capital Grille! I prefer to go during happy hour to get a good deal. It's clean, reasonably priced, dimly lit, and great customer service. My favorite dishes are the lamb chops and the lobster mac and cheese. I probably would just get a caesar salad next time vs the caesar bites. They were interesting though lol. The drinks are strong and worth the money. Especially the peach bourbon smash.

An amazing night at Capital Grille! The sliced filet mignon with cipollini onions and wild mushrooms in a fig essence was absolutely delicious, and the Kona crusted bone-in strip truly lived up to its reputation as a house special. The freshly made potato chips with caviar and the creamed corn were standout sides. We also loved the "In Fashion" cocktails--a fun and flavorful twist on the classic Old Fashioned. Everything from the food to the drinks made for a fantastic experience. Highly recommend! And last but not least our server Frog was attentive and knowledgeable.

This is hands-down one of my favorite places, and yes--I've already reviewed it before. But it's so good I had to let folks know again. The consistency is different here. The staff is always friendly, helpful, and focused on giving you a great experience. The bathrooms stay clean, the vibe is grown, and people come here to enjoy good food--not nonsense. The food? Elite. The lamb chops and the filet are my top picks every single time--they never miss. Every side is strong, and the drinks are always on point. I leave satisfied every visit. You really can't go wrong here... date night, birthday, business dinner, or just treating yourself. I love this spot. Capital Grille is absolutely the place to be.

Amazing experience here! I took my partner out for his birthday dinner. It was both our first time. The restaurant is huge and dimly lit for a romantic ambience. There was a great selection of complimentary bread provided that we enjoyed. We ended up partaking in their generous pour (6 different half full glasses of wine each) that they were offering. It was fun trying the different wines for the experience. They had a soft shell crab appetizer special for the night which we ordered along with the Filet Mignon and Seared Citrus-Glazed Salmon with a side of Roasted Wild Mushrooms. Everything was seasoned well and so delicious. The salmon was simple but tasted amazing, the filet was cooked perfectly to my medium well liking, and the mushrooms were plentiful. They also brought out a complimentary birthday dessert which consisted of 2 mini crème brûlée cheesecakes on a plate with fruit and whipped cream. I think normally it's one of the cheesecakes and a chocolate cake but they accommodated our non chocolate taste. I've heard so many great reviews about this place and I'm so glad we finally came to experience it. Service all around was great, food & wine were spectacular, and ambience was perfect for our night. A pricey restaurant but so worth it for a special occasion!

There's absolutely nothing wrong with checking out all the new trendy restaurants that Baltimore and other cities have to offer. BUT, if you want a no brainer, full proof, no doubt you're going to leave thrilled dining experience, then The Capital Grille it is! The GF loves Ouzo Bay, which is always a treat, however, I was in the mood for a juicy steak. It wasn't hard convincing her on Capital Grille since she's also a steak eater, so Uber driver, take us to Capital Grille please! Our food and service was impeccable as usual, which was topped off with complimentary after dinner shots! This was the perfect outdoor dining experience in Big Bad B'more, and although this was our first time at this location, it definitely won't be our last!

My significant other and I agree that The Capital Grille (TCG) is hands down the most consistent high end restaurant that we can rely on in any major city. When doing a little mini staycation in Baltimore we chose TCG to dine at before our comedy show. As always, service was stellar! Let's Get Into It! Filets were amazing! - Exceeded expectations! Brussel Sprouts - Fantastic! Exceeded expectations! Complimentary bread is always a winner! Complimentary shots a nice touch! Love TCG! Will always keep this in rotation, always a winner for us! Ladies dress up! Ambiance is always date night worthy, with high end vibes!

Wow. Great place. Great server. Great food. Donnie made the evening nice he was great and personable. Very good at making us feel great. Bread was a mixed basket of crisp to sweet to onion rolls. Very good. We ordered the oyster appetizer 6 oyster two different kinds both very good with a cocktail sauce and a Thai sweet chili sauce. Very tasty Goats cheese and best salad was good sized and very tasty as well good dressing. The steak a perfect medium rare with a great sauce. Peppercorn type sauce that was delicious and perfectly balanced They gave us free dessert as it was our thirtieth anniversary trip. We even told them our anniversary was in December but this was when we could get away. They didn't care and gave it to us anyways. It was a chocolaty mousse kind of thing with whipped cream very good and dense. Then a cream brûlée cheesecake with a fruit mixture. Wow. Donnie was the star of the show though. Excellent at his craft. You can tell he has honed his skills. Incredibly personable and took great care I recommend this place highly.

DONT DO TO GO EVER; DINE IN ONLY First let me start with saying my food was not started until I got there and I ordered for a 3 pm pickup. I paid $165 what I thought would be the size of what I get when I am dining in which is well worth it. What I received for to go is not acceptable. It was crowded I had to pay for parking for a pick up order and waited 30 mins or so in an area with no seating and crowded from reservations. Nothing was the size of the dine in portions except the steak. Had it not been crowded and there was somewhere for me to check my food I would have asked for a refund or to remake it. Sides are supposed to be shareable but I have enough for one person aside from the full container of fries and bread. The pics are of what I received to go vs dine in. Same price less food and subpar quality

I came here for a quick dinner on a weeknight. I didn't get much, but they had a wagyu and wine promotion that was a good deal-- one choice from three different types of wagyu burgers and a glass of wine for $35. I got the beet salad, which was tasty --and the tuna tartare, which lacked in some flavor to me. The cheesecake had a different flavor than I have ever tasted, but mixed with the berries, it was a perfect bite. We sat in the lounge, which was dimly lit and very cozy. Service was great, even though it was more crowded than usual due to an event in the area. They also have valet parking that is validated, not sure if it's free or not because I took a 10 minute walk from Street parking .

    Omg best salad I've had.

Yum, Yum, and more Yum .... This may be my me and hubby's favorite date night spot . We love going out on our special date day every month and this month we chose Capital Grille, yet again. And it yet again dis mot disappoint. This time I ordered the sea bass and added an Oscar style finishing touch. It was amazing . I paired it with sautéed green beans and creamed spinach.... The spinach was a little different this time but the manager made it right for us . We highly appreciate this. Great food, great service , great ambiance. Definitely a classic and a fav. Can't wait to visit again.

I made a reservation for 9:30 pm but on google says they close @9:00 does anyone know what time they close or will they be attending us?

Yes they close at 9:00 pm weekdays and Sunday, but they stay open until 10:00 pm only on Fridays and Saturdays.

    Open during Covid? Dine in?

    Yes

    Are there vegetarian options?

You can view their menu on line or just call the restaurant and ask your questions. This is a steak house, but they do offer some seafood items. I am just not sure how they are prepared. I hope this helps a little.

Is there any website we can order pick up or delivery ? Or is it dine- in only?

As far a I know, this is a dine in restaurant. Maybe you should call the restaurant and ask your question.

When we arrived, we were the only ones there, and there was one staff member working. That said, she came over immediately, brought us menus, and made the experience feel welcoming right away. We had to ask about tastings and she poured us about four different wines to try, which was a really nice touch and made the experience feel relaxed. We liked a few of the wines and ended up purchasing a bottle of Honor Cava Brut Rosato for $32.99. Solid choice. Nothing mind-blowing, but enjoyable and fairly priced for the setting. The space itself felt calm and cozy, especially with the fireplace and wine displays, but at the time we were there it didn't have a ton of energy or buzz. To be fair, it was early in the day, so I can absolutely see this place feeling very different in the evening or on a weekend when the patio and waterfront vibe are in full swing. V-NO is a pleasant, low pressure wine stop with friendly service, a thoughtful tasting experience, and a beautiful waterfront location. It may not scream "vibes" during slower daytime hours, but it's an easy place to relax, learn what you like, and enjoy a glass (or a bottle) without feeling rushed. I'd definitely come back later in the day to see it come to life.

Knowing a spring Friday evening would likely be busy, we wisely made reservations in advance. Upon arrival, the restaurant was buzzing with energy, yet we were seated promptly at a window-side table offering a beautiful view of the harbor and the fading colors of sunset. Service throughout the evening was polished, courteous, and knowledgeable. Our server, KJ, walked us through the menu with concise yet thoughtful descriptions of several dishes and their flavor profiles, while also offering cocktail and entrée recommendations. We followed several of his suggestions and were glad we did. I chose the Bygone Daisy while my companion ordered the Back Alley Blues. Both cocktails were beautifully presented, balanced, and genuinely delicious -- so much so that we each ordered a second round, which is somewhat rare for us. To begin, we shared a dozen oysters and a Caesar salad before moving on to Dover sole for my friend and the filet for myself, along with an order of mac and cheese for the table. The oysters themselves were excellent: chilled, fresh, and flavorful. However, the accompanying sauces didn't quite rise to the same level. The cocktail sauce lacked the horseradish punch we prefer, the mignonette leaned a bit too heavily into vinegar, and the hot sauce, while decent, felt somewhat ordinary by comparison. Still, the quality of the oysters carried the dish overall. The Caesar salad was perhaps the evening's weakest note -- a rather modest portion of roughly chopped romaine hearts with decent dressing and cheese, though the anchovies were particularly good and appreciated by my dining companion. KJ paced the meal exceptionally well, checking in thoughtfully without ever hovering, and we were also greeted by a manager who seemed genuinely invested in ensuring guests enjoyed their experience. Our entrées arrived just as the sunset painted the harbor in vivid evening color, which certainly elevated the moment. My filet was tender and enjoyable, though slightly below my preferred medium-rare temperature. The Dover sole, which I sampled for the first time, was excellent -- delicately crisp on the exterior with a rich buttery lemon sauce that complemented the fish beautifully. The mac and cheese was flavorful, though just a touch dry; a creamier finish would have made it more memorable. We ended the evening with the Peanut Butter Bar, crème brûlée, and an espresso martini. The desserts ranged from pleasant to good rather than exceptional, though the ice cream accompanying the Peanut Butter Bar was easily the standout bite of the trio. Overall, The Bygone delivers exceptional service, expertly crafted cocktails, and one of the best dining views in the city. The food itself ranged from good to occasionally very good, though not always at the level its premium pricing suggests. Certainly worth experiencing at least once for the atmosphere and hospitality alone, even if it may not become an immediate repeat destination given the many outstanding dining options in the area.

We were seated at a table that overlooked the court and a digital screen that flashed beautiful photos of Italy's top tourist spots. My kids were thrilled when they saw Venice, since they just learned about it in school. After ordering food, I took the kids to the bocce court while my partner could enjoy the wine and watch us from above. I know he appreciated having the break and a good glass of wine to go with it. Service was friendly and the food was fantastic. We ordered several dishes including several types of pasta, meatballs, cheesy bread and a caesar salad. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and a great vibe overall. I already have a reservation when we pass through Baltimore again in a few weeks.

Don't come here if you're just looking for blah food! If all you want is spaghetti and meat sauce go down to Fazzolis. This is higher flavor town Italian food with a mission to make you melt in delight. And it succeeds! Service is out standing, the food is flavor art, the location is tight but has great character, and I would come back in a heart beat!

I thought I already reviewed this but I must have failed to hit save or something…read more This wasn't all around Epic experience! My fiance wanted a particular French mushroom dish and this restaurant happened to have it. Add to it the Noir French Jazz vibes and it makes for one heck of a date. The service was quick and courteous. The show girls were a ton of fun and the band was talented. My fiancée was surprised and very happy with the whole experience. My girl quite hilariously said that the bread was tragically authentic, LOL! She's not wrong, it was pretty hard but it was also very good. The duck confit and savory crépe I would have loved it if they made that into an entree because I'd have eaten a whole plate of it. It was delicious! The short rib bourguignon was super tender, very delicious but the serving size is pretty small. I was surprised I ended up feeling full at the end but it's probably cuz I ate plenty of the bread and drinking and all that good stuff. The wild mushroom dish was very flavorful but my girl wasn't quite as fond of the puff pastry acting as the bowl. Outside of that we both loved it. It's not a cheap date, but it is a good date. I'm glad we went! This is definitely a place I feel comfortable recommending if you're looking for a little more high-end night out.

My husband and I had dinner at Monarque for the first time last Friday…read more Monarque is Atlas's French restaurant, located at the end of Atlas Quarter on Fleet Street (you pass Italian Disco, Tagliata, and the Elk Room, and walk straight to the end of the alley). Their menu might be classic French, but none of the entrees spoke to me. It was a warm late spring/almost summer night, and I found their menu to be heavy and not very seasonal. I wanted something lighter, something more spring. Since the entrees weren't calling to us, we stuck to the small plates/hors d'oeuvres section of the menu and shared: Potato & Leek Soup (butter croutons and garlic chive oil); Salad Lyonnaise (soft boiled egg, bacon lardons, endive, frisee, and radishes); tableside beef tartare (verjus mustard, capers, tomato, truffle); short rib pappardelle (truffled egg yolk, red onion, Parmesan, and short rib ragu); and Iberico Secreto (apple butter, macerated cranberries, hazelnuts, and microsage). Of these, I'd say we enjoyed the soup and the iberico the best. The beef tartare wasn't cut/diced or mixed very well despite the very fun tableside preparation. The pasta had a truffle oil pungency that isn't for us, so I wouldn't order that dish again, but otherwise the food was pretty good. I do think there is better French food in Baltimore, but Monarque offers something special. The service is great. The wine and cocktails are great. The decor is cool. But best of all? Thursday-Sunday, Monarque hosts Monarque After Dark. Burlesque, cabaret, live jazz music... At Monarque, it's dinner with a show. The performers we saw were great. Monarque After Dark made our night. If the food didn't blow me away, the experience still did. FYI the music is quite loud, so I wouldn't recommend dinner at Monarque if you prefer a quieter dinner! We had a great time at Monarque. I'd certainly return - next time for some drinks, oysters, and shrimp cocktails and the show!

We order the turkey club, hush puppies, cream of crab soup, the charcuterie board, fries, and fried oysters to share. The turkey club was the star of the show. It had nice layers of avocado, the chicken was cooked well, and the bacon added a nice touch. For drinks we stuck to the margaritas and they were perfect! I would say you can skip the fries, the seasoning was great the batch of fries we had seemed like they might not have been fresh. The rest of the menu was so good I would still say you could skip the fries and order a double serving of hush puppies.

Although the food and waitstaff were excellent, the overall experience was disappointing…read more We arrived early for our reservation and were promptly seated at the worst table in the restaurant: the only table with no view, the waitstaff work area directly behind the table, and constant foot traffic behind us as well. We immediately asked the hostess for a different table. She told as that the three booths and the six other two-tops were all reserved. She left us with no attempt at an apology and promptly put reserved signs on all the open tables. When we left an hour later, one booth and 4 two-tops had never been used. Much to our dismay, we saw people seated outside even though we had received a text before arriving saying the patio was closed for the evening. To add insult to injury, even half empty, the noise level was so uncomfortable since everything was tile, marble, or wood that the alarm sensor on my smart watch sounded because of the decibel level. We will not be back.
