Ate here while visiting The restaurant is very classy/ upscale. I would be a regular if I lived close by. Service was excellent and food was very good. I had a French onion soup which was great but the cup was small, much smaller than what I typically see and i order this soup most times I eat out. But it had a great taste. The table bread and butter were also very good. My drink was.passion fruit mojito -was excellent. I love this Capital Grille! I prefer to go during happy hour to get a good deal. It's clean, reasonably priced, dimly lit, and great customer service. My favorite dishes are the lamb chops and the lobster mac and cheese. I probably would just get a caesar salad next time vs the caesar bites. They were interesting though lol. An amazing night at Capital Grille! The sliced filet mignon with cipollini onions and wild mushrooms in a fig essence was absolutely delicious, and the Kona crusted bone-in strip truly lived up to its reputation as a house special. The freshly made potato chips with caviar and the creamed corn were standout sides. We also loved the "In Fashion" cocktails--a fun and flavorful twist on the classic Old Fashioned. What an amazing place. Mother's Day meant we were lucky to even get a table. The maître d', Tim, was a general marshaling his troops remaining calm under fire. Our waitress, Sandra, was professional yet friendly, and efficient. We planned on eating light: ha! The bread basket was amazing with four different types of bread and perfectly soft butter. We started with the bacon appetizer: sweet, smokey with just a hint of spice. Our entree was the sea bass: moist, flaky and flavorful. Our dinner ended with the crème brûlée, perfectly caramelized and loaded with fresh berries. Highly recommend and hope to return when visiting again. read more

Amazing experience here! I took my partner out for his birthday dinner. It was both our first time. The restaurant is huge and dimly lit for a romantic ambience. There was a great selection of complimentary bread provided that we enjoyed. We ended up partaking in their generous pour (6 different half full glasses of wine each) that they were offering. It was fun trying the different wines for the experience. They had a soft shell crab appetizer special for the night which we ordered along with the Filet Mignon and Seared Citrus-Glazed Salmon with a side of Roasted Wild Mushrooms. Everything was seasoned well and so delicious. The salmon was simple but tasted amazing, the filet was cooked perfectly to my medium well liking, and the mushrooms were plentiful. They also brought out a complimentary birthday dessert which consisted of 2 mini crème brûlée cheesecakes on a plate with fruit and whipped cream. I think normally it's one of the cheesecakes and a chocolate cake but they accommodated our non chocolate taste. I've heard so many great reviews about this place and I'm so glad we finally came to experience it. Service all around was great, food & wine were spectacular, and ambience was perfect for our night. BUT, if you want a no brainer, full proof, no doubt you're going to leave thrilled dining experience, then The Capital Grille it is! The GF loves Ouzo Bay, which is always a treat, however, I was in the mood for a juicy steak. It wasn't hard convincing her on Capital Grille since she's also a steak eater, so Uber driver, take us to Capital Grille please! Wow. Great place. Great server. Great food. Donnie made the evening nice he was great and personable. Very good at making us feel great. Bread was a mixed basket of crisp to sweet to onion rolls. Very good. We ordered the oyster appetizer 6 oyster two different kinds both very good with a cocktail sauce and a Thai sweet chili sauce. Very tasty Goats cheese and best salad was good sized and very tasty as well good dressing. The steak a perfect medium rare with a great sauce. Peppercorn type sauce that was delicious and perfectly balanced They gave us free dessert as it was our thirtieth anniversary trip. We even told them our anniversary was in December but this was when we could get away. They didn't care and gave it to us anyways. It was a chocolaty mousse kind of thing with whipped cream very good and dense. Then a cream brûlée cheesecake with a fruit mixture. Wow. Donnie was the star of the show though. DONT DO TO GO EVER; DINE IN ONLY First let me start with saying my food was not started until I got there and I ordered for a 3 pm pickup. I paid $165 what I thought would be the size of what I get when I am dining in which is well worth it. What I received for to go is not acceptable. It was crowded I had to pay for parking for a pick up order and waited 30 mins or so in an area with no seating and crowded from reservations. Nothing was the size of the dine in portions except the steak. Had it not been crowded and there was somewhere for me to check my food I would have asked for a refund or to remake it. I came here for a quick dinner on a weeknight. I didn't get much, but they had a wagyu and wine promotion that was a good deal-- one choice from three different types of wagyu burgers and a glass of wine for $35. I got the beet salad, which was tasty --and the tuna tartare, which lacked in some flavor to me. The cheesecake had a different flavor than I have ever tasted, but mixed with the berries, it was a perfect bite. We sat in the lounge, which was dimly lit and very cozy. Yum, Yum, and more Yum .... This may be my me and hubby's favorite date night spot . We love going out on our special date day every month and this month we chose Capital Grille, yet again. And it yet again dis mot disappoint. This time I ordered the sea bass and added an Oscar style finishing touch. It was amazing . I paired it with sautéed green beans and creamed spinach.... Visited Capital Grille on a whim - since we didn't have a reservation, we did have to dine at the bar. While not my favorite place to sit, it wasn't too bad. It is kind of tight tho if the bar is full to try and have a full meal. The Noble Paloma was a nice twist to the normal Paloma! Definitely worth trying if you're into Paloma's (grapefruit). I had the 10oz filet mignon, and it was like slicing into butter.. AMAZING! The lobster mac and cheese was also very good, and I am usually not a fan of seafood Mac. It's been years since I visited the capital grille. I'm not sure why i stayed away so long as at one point this was my go to happy hour haven. Upon my return I learned that I need to add this place back into rotation. Everyone and I mean everyone from the people who answer the phones, the people who welcome you in, the people who bring bread and water, servers and management all treated me amazing. My wife was mad I didn't mention my birthday but honestly I didn't need to. I was treated pretty darn good. I went in for the wagyu and wine night. I was not disappointed. My burger had a great flavor and a perfect cook. My wine that I chose to keep with the suggested pairing needed to say paired perfectly. They even provided the coffee i needed to stay awake through the concert I attended. There was juts one suggestion I had which was the flavor for the tuna tartare could have been a bit better. It was super fresh and was served with a siracha sauce. However, more of the sauce was needed and again just a little seasoning would have ignited this dish. Otherwise, it was great. It was a quick walk to the concert venue CFG if you're looking for a place to dine before. I will be back and definitely recommend. read more

My wife's work took her to a conference in Baltimore and I was able to tag along. She plans ahead and found this restaurant that had good reviews. We arrived and seated in a quiet area and were made to feel welcome right off. I looked o er the drink menu and saw a Blackberry Side at and had to try it. It's made with Angel's Envy, Cointreau and lime juice. It was one of the best drinks I've ever had. My wife who isn't a bourbon drinker tried it and she said it was something she could drink. I ordered the lobster and crabcake for an appetizer and a special for the night a bone in New York strip. My wife ordered the fillet, and she is a ( it has to be cooked well done person). Mine was ordered rare. The waiter and unfortunately I can't remember his name right now, but he was always right there to answer questions and give recommendations. He did recommend the augratin potatoes and they were spot on great. He had asked if she minded her fillet being butterflied, she says if they have to. They didn't and it came out well done and she loved it. My steak was huge and I felt I could have cut it with a fork if wasn't so thick. You can see the picture. It was the most tender flavorful steak that I have ever had and is now the steak I will compare all others to. At the end of the Neal my wife asked about a dessert menu and our waiter said what do you like, she gave him a couple of desserts she liked, he came back with a crème brûlée cheesecake and a coconut cream tart. I'm used to availability, but there were several friendly staff hovering around, bringing food, and topping things off. As a result, nothing arrived cold, and no drink was left unfilled. We started with pan fried calamari with hot chili peppers and mini crab cakes. Both were fantastic. Seafood in Maryland is better than where I'm from (away from the coast), no surprise. On the table we had mashed potatoes and lobster mac-n-cheese. I didn't try the potatoes, but the mac-n-cheese was great. I ordered a wedge salad. A big wedge of lettuce with bleu cheese and big-ole fat smoked bacon croutons. Yum! I also ordered a steak, which the Capital Grille is known for. I got the porcini rubbed bone-in ribeye with 15-year aged balsamic... It was perfectly cooked, tender, and for-crying-out-loud tasty. I really, really tried to eat it all, but... alas. What a great steak though. Best I've had in a long time. Perhaps needless to say, but I didn't have dessert.
