    Shrimp salad sandwich & fries
    Cello's P.

True story Colin's use to be one of my favorite restaurants when it was located out Randallstown so being in the area yesterday I was more than excited to get to see what this Colin's was hitting for. I went around noon so they were just opening & it was completely empty. I didn't want to be the only one in there so I ordered takeout. I went with the shrimp salad sandwich & fries for $18. This was one of the best shrimp salad sandwiches I've ever had. Best part easily was it was full of shrimp until most places shrimps just falling everywhere every time I bite into it. The definition of a shrimp salad sandwich's. This assured that I'll be returning back for more of their opinions

I love seafood & after seeing the menu, I ordered enough for dinner & lunch while working the next day. I ordered the seafood platter; the menu said fried or baked, but it alternative was probably broiled or steamed. I went with that. The platter had shrimp, crab cake, scallops, & fish. All were well seasoned, & that crab cake was everything! It came with 2 sides. I went with mac & cheese and yams. I also ordered crab dip with nachos & the creamy crab soup. Unfortunately, they didn't label either container. They looked similar & had similar consistency as the soup was thick and creamy, so it was hard to tell which was which. Both items did have plenty of crab meat. There were plenty of people seated inside at tables and at the bar. When I placed my to-go order, I was told it'd be ready in 25 mins. I came back inside after 30 mins. After waiting for at least 5 mins with no acknowledgment, I asked a lady sitting next to me if she'd been waiting a while. She said yes because they'd brought her order out but something was missing. After she left, I had to ask about my order. This is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. There were plenty of employees walking around, & they'd look right in the direction of myself and a couple who'd walked in and were waiting to order. They never asked if we needed anything; we had to say something to them to get their attention. Probably would return when I'm in the area, but they wouldn't be my first choice if I was doing another take out order spending that kind of money.

I was on this side of town and wanted lunch. Came here with my mother. We ordered crab dip for our appetizer. The crab dip was good, but it was very soupy. I think crab dip should be a little bit thicker than that. The garlic French bread that came with it twas very good. For our entrées, I ordered the Seafood Alfredo. It was good. The sauce wasn't too thick. It came with scallops, shrimp, and crab meat. With a side of the yummy garlic French bread. Yummy! Oh and I ordered a side of cabbage and macaroni and cheese. My other ordered the baked stuffed salmon. It was covered with a crab imperial sauce that kind of tasted like dijonnaise or honey mustard. It wasn't bad just not really what we expected. I've been here before a couple of years ago. And they finally laid off of the salt. My mother's side of greens were rather bland. I rather bland than a whole bunch of salt. Our waitress was great! And gave us great recommendations.

Decided to come here for a birthday celebration dinner. From planning to execution they were very nice and helpful, they called multiple times to ensure our reservation due to the party size. No one had been here before so it was new for the entire party. The place was a vibe, the music was good, not too loud and at times you found yourself just singing and swaying. The food was delicious, I had a salad and that was clearly fresh, everyone loved the food and stated they would be back !

Fried trout, macaroni and cheese, and collard greens. Absolutely delicious.

I am so glad that I finally got to go here. This place is a gem. If you are looking for delicious sit down soul food restaurant with food like your grandma/mommy/auntie makes, GO HERE. The food is very well seasoned, portions are great, and prices are reasonable. My family went here for the first time tonight and we were pleasantly surprised. Literally EVERYTHING, down to the HOMEMADE ice tea was absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back...on a regular basis!

Slow on a Saturday afternoon. Bar service appeared to be pretty fast. We were told 45 minute wait for someone to clear and clean a table. Then they said 30 minutes. We actually ended up sitting about an hour. Possibly more. Service seems to be passable but slow and unenthusiastic. Food came out in shifts even though we ordered at the same time . Overall I will return because it's black owned and food is good but depends on what you get. The crab nachos were bad and had no crab.

I use to always go to the one on Liberty road so I knew I'd like the food. The service was great we were there for an 80th birthday party. They have a private room you can reserve not sure the costs . The woman that handled our room did an excellent job. The bathroom could use some attention. The toilet says push in the flush and use some strength which is funny considering their customer base seems much older. Please fix the dang toilet. I ordered baked stuff shrimp the crab stuffing and imperial sauce didn't do anything for me it was just ok and my cream of crab soup wasn't hot I feel like I had to rush it down before it got cold. My drink was delicious. I only took a star away for the bathroom ...

The food was seasoned perfectly. The lamb chops could have been cooked a little better, but they were tasty. The collard greens top 10 definitely should have them. The service was good. Our server really really looked out and made sure we had everything we needed. I appreciate the restaurant for accommodating us because our party gave the wrong amount of people for the reservation.

Finally made my way here hanging out with the fellas on a Friday night. Not too crowded when we got there and was able to be seated easily bc which was a surprise because about 15 minutes after being there, there was a few big parties that had came in. So that was a good b thing. Lucky we got seated with no reservations. Service was fairly quick and the waiters didn't take too long with get our orders. I started out with the steamed muscles. A very sizable amount. I've been to a more upscale restaurant and I didn't get this amount of muscles there and they were way more expensive. Muscles at Colin's are very good after sitting in the garlic butter. My entree was the seafood Alfredo. The shrimp were not the tiny ones that I have seen with Alfredo before. These were regularly sized shrimp which I like. I would have liked a few more pieces of scallops and the crab meat was just enough on top. A few shells here and there but it didn't ruin the dish thank goodness. Overall a good first time here. There will be more visits to come.

Well I finally took hubby to dine here. Just had to see for myself if this place was worth the hype. The parking lot was packed but we did manage to squeeze into a spot on the side near the front. Once inside, we were greeted by two hostesses and we were asked how many were dining. We said two and were taken to the right side and immediately placed into a small booth like dining area. Our server was Alaura. We were asked about if we wanted to order drinks, which we asked for sweet iced tea. After browsing the menu, we decided on no appetizers. I decided to try the seafood platter and hubby picked the seafood Alfredo. My platter was okay with the exception that the crabcake was a bit mushy and had a lot of shells, and they did not spare on the expense of the old bay seasoning. The shrimp, scallops, amd the tilapia was cooked to perfection. The green beans were okay too. I asked for extra sour cream, but didn't get it, but the portion size was not enough to cover a med-large baked potato. Hubby said he liked his meal too and again had to pick out a lot of shells from the crab meat. I observed the other server in our vicinity and she was so attentive to her patrons, sad we did not feel we got the same from our server, but if we return, would definitely ask for that server. Had to ask for extra napkins, which took a minute to get, even had to wait over 5 minutes to receive the check when we asked for it when she last checked on us. In spite of the overall experience, I think we will we come back or just order the food to go.

So it cost me $10-15 to for a plastic takeout container. Had I not looked at the customer copy of the bill I would have not only not known but I would have tipped based on the total which already included the additional gratuity charge (which was not disclosed on the merchant copy). This is so unnecessary and ruined what would have been a good experience. They said it was a "sharing charge" which I have experienced and applies when u have another diner with you and u decide to split an entree. Had they disclosed I would at least had the option to finish the meal. The saying "stepping over dollars to pick up pennies " seems to apply as this left such a bad taste I doubt I will return despite the fact the crab cake was delicious and the loaded baked potato was average (hardly loaded) Beware of the hidden gratuity for take home leftovers!!! Update to above: I did follow up with Angie this morning and she was very kind and offered to credit back my card for the extra gratuity. She also explained that I was misled about the "sharing charge" but they do automatically add 15% gratuity regardless of party size or quality of service. So I would give 4 stars for the food quality and 1 star for the way in which they present and charge gratuity. Tipping should remain at the discretion of the diner based on service and food quality otherwise just get rid of tipping and raise your prices

She was so friendly and made my experience a great one. The margarita flight she made was strong and delicious. I ordered from the 3 course restaurant week menu, which had a nice variety of choices for each course. I chose bayou rolls, steak with mashed potatoes and greens (it came with broccolini but I loathe the bitterness of broccolini so I was able to sub for greens), and white chocolate bread pudding. The bayou rolls were slightly salty but they were still good. My steak was overcooked but I don't believe in sending meals back. The bartender brought me some melted garlic butter without me asking and said, "I believe it was supposed to come with a glaze but they ran out. I figured you would like the garlic butter instead." I really appreciated her because it did help me to eat that dry steak. The white chocolate bread pudding was to die for!!! It was so good and warm and the ice cream was the cherry on top. I returned a month later because they were doing a surprise deals. At the conclusion of my last visit, I was given a sealed envelope to open at my next visit to see what my surprise was. I was surprised with a free cocktail. I got the Blackberry French. It was good but not very strong. I also got charbroiled oysters and a catfish sandwich. Both were great although my fries that came with the sandwich were a little soggy. The service at this visit was good as well. I will definitely be back soon for happy hour.
