Scoozi: A Truly Disappointing Experience! I have to start out by saying, that we USED to be long time Scoozi's customers, but the level of disregard & unwillingness to handle these last 2 issues, as well as, the serious decline, in the food quality, has changed that. We ordered on 9/20/23 & were shorted a calamari & potato salad. No one was able to do a credit, for some reason or lack of knowledge, so we agreed to have it added on the next time we ordered. . The next time we ordered, on 9/30/23, we added those items, however, when it got here, there was a soda was ordered, with the rest of our order, which wasn't received. I was advised when I called, that the lady working there saw the driver drinking it & told him it was for the order, but she didn't give him a new soda to replace it ( I don't know, if I was supposed to drink the rest of the one, that he drank from, but this is now ridiculous) & again, no credit would be given, but if I wanted to send someone else to get the soda, that they would give it to us. In addition, the replaced calamari had an awful taste to it, the food was cold & extremely greasy & my simple grilled cheese with bacon sandwich had no bacon at all & almost no cheese; it was basically a dry toast sandwich! I was sick the entire night! I'm going to contest my credit card charge of $52, but wanted to WARN potential customers, to save your stomach & your wallet & order from somewhere else! P.S. I want to add that it was a Door Dash driver, that was drinking my soda, so watch your food if you order Door Dash, as well! read more

My friend and I had the best dinner at Scoozi's this week! The crab cake special was so reasonably priced for what we got - a huge crab cake that is one of the best I've ever had, plus two sides and a dessert. Everything was excellent! The place is very comfortable and clean and our waitress was fabulous. Excellent service and attention, with no complaint when we asked to move to a different location when another group was done with their booth. Only wish I lived close enough to make Scoozi's a more regular stop so I can try more of their selections. read more

Ordered on their website the liver & onions along with 2 barnyard burgers. Ordered contactless delivery due to covid 19. to be dropped at front porch, order arrived about 30 minutes later but was only liver & onion part NO BURGERS. We called to inquire and was told they forgot never cooked the 2 burgers " WHAT " so had to reorder and wait well over 40 more minutes for burgers to arrive !!! Went to Scoozzi's for the first time tonight and had a most pleasurable experience. The food was fantastic for a unbelievable low price. I had a cup of of crab soup, 6 wings, crabcake, 2 sides and hot homemade bread and my friend had shrimp parm, with a side salad and garlic bread. We both had pina coladas and coffee and the bill came to an amazing LOW $62.Our servers, Shelly and Cherie were fabulous. Very attentive, informative friendly and super sweet. Kudos to the cook, who never gets deserved credit!! I traveled through the tunnel from the Linthicum area and will most definitely be returning, despite the $12 in tolls. Scoozzi's is a great traditional restaurant that you go with your friends and family to have laughs, conversations, and to root for the team on TV---like how you did before people's eyeballs were glued to their phones. I had the Scoozzi Burger and it was super-tasty--you could taste the grains of the ground beef, char-sizzled perfectly to order with a flavor that no fast food could match. The fries could have been homemade but certainly, were not the cheap Sysco bulk fries that so many little places use---and tastes so bland. Service was super hon-friendly, maybe not the most peppiest---but gave you time to enjoy your meal and company. The burger on ran $9; and for a sit-down and get real food place, that is a true bargain. Many of their menu items were priced easy on the wallet. I definitely recommend if you are in the general area, want good food, priced right, in a comfy atmosphere. read more

Ordered the western omelette breakfast and a side of scrapple and coffee. There was no spoon to stir or put the sugar in the coffee. Had to wait for several minutes for another waiter to walk by so I could ask for a spoon. There was something sour in the Omelette and the home fries left a bad aftertaste. The toast was still white like they had stuck it in the toaster for about 30 seconds. The scrapple was okay but it wasn't Rapa brand. The coffee was also lukewarm and the waiter never asked if I needed a refill. First time eating here in many many years. Probably will be my last. read more

Not someone will be with you or anything. When someone decided to assist me I was told to have a seat and the food would be a few mins. 20 mins later I was told the kitchen was overwhelmed and our order would be right out. Mind you there was 1 person sitting at the bar and maybe 5 table seated in the dinning room with 3 of the tables eating. Finally got our food after waiting over an hour and a half after ordering. The food was cold. Like it was in the refrigerator cold. Not just cold from the drive home. The kids chicken tender meal was over cooked and inedible. You could not bite into the chicken tender. Hubby and I eat here semi-regularly, usually for breakfast. My husband likes their chipped beef, even though sometimes it needs to be sent back to be warmed up. He always jokes that he figures the owners don't want to be sued for scalding a customer's mouth. Anyway, for breakfast I usually get an egg and cheese omelette. It's always been tasty. We stopped in for dinner the other evening after shopping. Hubby had the meatloaf platter and I had the stuffed chicken breast. Both meals were delicious. The meatloaf and mashed potatoes were covered in gravy, to my husband's delight. My chicken breast was nice and tender, but had little stuffing. This is a great place to get "comfort food". Of course, as others have noted, the decor might be bit outdated and the staff maybe not the peppiest but we find that part of the charm. When you do get service the waitresses couldn't be nicer. Don't go there if you're looking to get your food, pay, then run out the door as quickly as possible. Save that for your next trip to McD's. You go here to relax, have a leisurely meal and good conversation. As far as the food goes, everything we have had has been good. We've been semi-regulars for years now and I don't think we've ever had a meal we could say was bad. With that said I must say, don't get too cute when ordering. If the menu lists 'mashed potatoes' but you request french fries, you'll probably still get mashed potatoes. We eat here a few times a month. There is a bar on one side and a dining room on the other. They have good food and good specials. The wait staff is generally very good and service is speedy. On the weekends they have karaoke in the bar area, which is always a good time. They also have good specials in the bar area for sports events (football baseball games etc.) When we go there for breakfast I always get their chipped beef it is very good. My recommendations for dinner is the fried chicken it's a good sized portion and taste great too along with cole slaw :) I'm also in love with their maryland crab soup, I've had their cream of crab and it was just ok. To be honest I've never even heard of Scoozzi until I moved to Dundalk over a year ago. Even then it took forever for someone to mention that it was a good place to eat. The first time I went I loved it. The food is fresh, hot, and cooked awesomely. I love it, it's a cute little place tucked away. This is deff a family restaurant. You get a family vibe when you go in as well. To the others complaining if its gloomy or drab or outdated OMG who cares this place is awesome. The service can be a bit slow but tbh Idc about it because I'm there to relax not to get my food asap but to relax and enjoy my food. read more

This review is concerning the bar only. I recently met a friend there for happy hour - it was 5 o'clock on a Wednesday in July 2019. It was also my idea - I am all about supporting locally owned and operated businesses -- studiously avoiding the glitzy chains that have been popping up on Merritt Boulevard. I also live in this area. If people are clustered around the front door in hot weather smoking - you know it's not going to be much better inside. I was not surprised. There were two twenty-something bartenders - I had to tell one of them to please wipe the bar where I sat down. Then my friend came in as I was telling the 'new' (it was her 1st day) bar keep how to make a dirty vodka martini companion said "Why are you even bothering? Just order a lite beer and let's get outta here!" We were in and out in 20 minutes. Owners who are that careless about who they hire do not deserve local support - though by the looks of the down trodden crowd on a late afternoon on a Wednesday - lite beer in mass quantities seemed to be the de rigueur. But the service my gal and I had here was pretty poor. While there at brunch time recently I noted how numerous staff just lazily gabbed with regulars and were in absolutely no hurry to get to other tables. And while I have no issues with saucy veteran wait staff, there's a difference between being acceptably crusty and being borderline rude. The food? A mixed bag. My waffle was quite good, and scrambled eggs properly cooked, but the scrapple was about the least tasty I've ever had and not well cooked to boot. The lady went with a corned beef sandwich, and the meat quality and quantity were fairly lacking. Overall a disappointing experience. read more

My wife and I lucked into this place thanks to Yelp. We were in the area and wanted breakfast. This place looks a bit downtrodden on the outside but the food is great. I had the Scoozi omelette which is chocked full of bacon, sausage and ham. My wife's creamed chipped beef was ALMOST as good as her mother's. Prices are reasonable and service was great. They are very racist dont go to this restaurant/bar if your anything but qhite or you will not get serviced. Amazing food. Decor is old and dated. But the crab stuffed mushroom caps were amazing. It is an appetizer that can be an entire meal. Flavor was perfect. No kidding the enormous amount of real jumbo lump crab. Had to be twelve dollars worth of crab packed in the mushrooms. The cream of crab was equally memorable. Soup so thick the spoon stands up on its own. Nicely seasoned and fresh. Not the nicest looking place but wait staff was great and friendly. Will be back soon. read more
