I order here after a concert late one night. Ordered online and got my food to go. It took about 20 minutes too for them to prepare it. I love the late night hours when you need a bite to eat late. I ordered the mozzarella sticks which were 3/5. The actual mozzarella sticks weren't very hot so the cheese wasn't gooey but the marinara sauce made up for that! It was so flavorful and good and I normally don't like marinara sauce. My main dish was the shrimp and grits. Not I've had the real deal in New Orleans a million times and these have been the best that I've had out side of Louisiana! The shrimp were huge and the sausage was a little spicy. The grits were the perfect texture. We have been dining here for some time and each visit food is always prepared fresh. This past April 30th we decided to dine here for hubby's birthday. We were seated all the way in the corner with a wobbly table. Not the best seat chosen so we moved over to another table. Hubby ordered the lamb chops since he noticed there was a special but it was past the time to order which we didn't notice. I order the Maryland fettuccine which includes clams, shrimp and crab meat. Both dishes came out in a timely manner and both were seasoned well. Service however was a little slow than usual. We had to wait for refills nor were offered bread. Now if they stop serving it after a certain time then they should say so. Over all food was good and would be happy to return. read more

We loved the food both times we were there after the remodel, but we've never gone back since and probably never will. Why? The automatic 20 percent "tip." First, any place that forces you to tip is being disingenuous. A tip is by definition voluntary and depends on good service. By baking it in, you've just destroyed any incentive for good service. But Valentino's make it worse: They don't even tell you about the tip beforehand -- and it's not just for large parties; we were two people-- and they don't even give it to the servers!!! (Our server told us that and we confronted the manager and they confirmed it.) That's not a tip, people, Despite their tortured explanation of the logic, it's not a tip. It's a lie, and it's a $&@#% ripoff. Pity you have to resort to lying. Your food was excellent -- and I usually tip more than 20 percent for excellent food and service. Bye. read more

Have ordered delivery many times from here as my colleagues really love the caeser salad (dressing is homemade and delectable), and the lamb chops. The portions are large. I would recommend salad dressing on the side as they are a bit heavy handed. A few times my lamb chops weren't well seasoned which is the reason for 4 stars instead of 5 but the menu has many options and they are readily available even late night. read more

I was hesitant considering I haven't been to Valentinos in 20 plus years and only remember going there in the wee hours of the night after clubbing . Let me start by saying , I was pleasantly surprised . The inside has been remodeled with a lot of modern details . I wanted Ribs but I like mine without sauce , that wasn't an option so I opted for the New York strip with a side of Mac & Cheese and Collard Greens . We went in expecting a hole in the wall Italian restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised that it was so much more. The restaurant itself is VERY clean and felt cozy, not cluttered. The service is unbelievably good, with our every whim covered. The menu is well laid out, and the generous portions noticed appropriately. The Veal Parmigiana knocked my socks off, as it is one of the best I've eaten. The complimentary bread and sauce are the best. The restaurant is spacious with an Italian feel! Plenty of TVs so you will miss the game. My friend and I stopped by Valentino's for a late-night bite on a Saturday. I love that they're open 24 hours, and there's parking available behind the restaurant. We walked in, asked for a table for two, and were seated immediately. From what I understand, the place was recently remodeled, and you can tell a lot of thought went into the renovation--it's clean, well-lit, and nicely done. They brought out garlic knots for the table before taking our order. I ordered a lemon drop martini, which the server poured table-side--a nice touch. For appetizers, we had the crab dip and honey Old Bay wings, and for my entrée, I chose the shrimp parm, subbing the red sauce for white sauce and opting for broccoli as my side order. Everything was absolutely delicious--I honestly have no complaints or suggestions. The table next to us seemed to have complaints about everything, but I felt like they might have been the issue because I was sitting there really enjoying my meal. Almost 10 years later and im still not impressed. My aunt and I entered and was greeted and seated quickly. The place was pretty much empty. That should have been a sign. We were given water and menus. Complimentary bread and marinara. We both ordered the stuffed shrimp with crab cake. It didn't read crab stuffed shrimp so I thought the crab cake was separate. Oh were we fooled. When it arrived it was just stuffed shrimp. It came with two sides but, there was no crab cake. They kept telling me the crab cake was on the shrimp. Oh well got past that. We asked for napkins that I never received. I had to go to the counter to get napkins from another employee. Meanwhile, our server sent the manager to our table. I still felt like the menu was misleading. Smh. The food was just ok. Nothing to rave about. I dont even remember the servers name. I guess because I truly didn't care. For the money spent I've had much better service at other places. What pissed me off even more that for a party of two gratuity of damn near $20 was added. This has been my go to for the last 4 years. Mainly for take out, but I had the pleasure of dining in a month ago and loved it. Forgot to take pics which is so unlike me. The inside is gorgeous since they reopened after Covid! Highly recommend. The food never misses and the service for take out is exceptional. The one thing I want to mention about dinning in is they offer a marinara with the breadstick that you don't get for take out! Just order a side even if you have to pay for it!!! I'm very disappointed with my service that I received on Oct 18, 2024. I'm a regular and have brought you a lot of business from DC and for you to try to get a double tip from me is very distasteful. I gave the young lady cash the exact same amount that they tried to add on my bill after I paid. Stating that she put my entire order under delivery. Which is hard to believe is because we dined in. I explain to the manager which he never said anything or gave me any eye contact. All he keep doing is correcting the receipt which she never stated that gave her the cash. I ask for my money back from her and told them I wish I would give them a 40 tip. I will never be returning to this restaurant ever again. Please watch your receipt when dining in at this place. As a manger he should have ask her and then apologize to me of what happen instead of trying to get a double tip. The girl looked embarrassed when I told her to give me my cash back. He needs more training on how to deal with people. Especially when you're in the wrong. They have lost a customer that brought them a lot of business. Really nice! The new interiors is really nice with Rudolph Valentino posters on the wall. Service was very good. We had drinks, split an appetizer, and then an entree. I hadn't been to Valentino's since I was a kid so I was excited. I ordered a Rosemarie Rosa that's mussels, spinach ,pasta, and pink sauce. As I peeled the mussels from the shells I tasted the pasta it was perfect until I started eating .My first fork full I bit into a sprig of rosemary.Thinking it may have fallen in I just removed it. My second bite was another sprig. I sifted through the sauce and removed 5 sprigs of rosemary from my pasta. I asked for the manager. She asked what the problem was and agreed that's not how it was supposed to be made and offered me a side of spinach.Which is what I thought all of the sprigs were.She asked if I wanted them to make it over but I already pulled all of the mussels from the shells and removed all of the rosemary sprigs. I said I just did all of this I don't know what I'm going to get If I send this back. The manager said well I'll take $5 off. I reminded her that the dish was around $25-$30.I had to pick through it for it to be edible.She said do you want it or not? I go to Valentino's here and there and most times I'm cool with everything. Ran over to get some cheesecake and was disappointed. I know inflation is a thing but wow. They now charge $6.30 per slice and it's literally half of the old slice.... Why raise prices and cut the portion in half..!??? One or the other. My husband and I first time here and I was very happy overall. The atmosphere is family friendly, laid back and surprisingly pretty quiet. We were seated immediately when we arrived. Our waiter was great,friendly and the food was really good. I got the lamb chops and they were really good, I asked for medium but they were a little over, but the flavor was on point so I didn't mind at all. My husband has the porterhouse,he asked for medium but it came out over as well .. he mentioned it to the waiter and tried to get through it the best he could but he could not. The waiter noticed his distress and got the manager. The manager came over and replaced the steak no problem. Kudos to our waiter for being very attentive not just to our needs but to the reactions we had to the taste and appearance of our food. Bottom line... We enjoyed dinner and will visit again soon... Wow Valentino's delivers! I couldn't believe it when the DoorDash driver handed me the bag. It is 5x as heavy as the food I ordered last night! With all the sides like bread, veggies, etc this meal is like 3 meals! The portions are crazy generous and the food is high quality and delicious. It's rare to find both at the same place! Not sure why this restaurant has 3.5 stars??? I'm one picky foodie and this place deserves 5 stars. I ordered a Greek Salad and the simplest pasta spaghetti with marinara sauce. And a breakfast sandwich for tomorrow. I haven't read the other reviews but if it's because of the cost of their seafood be lucky Valentino's still has seafood. Many restaurants discontinued it because of supply chain issues and fear customers wouldn't pay the increased costs. I think it's honorable such a Baltimore staple has the integrity to keep with its menu and what their customers want. read more

I really like this place and today I tried the crab cakes for the first time. Not the best in Baltimore but definitely good. The sides were ok but the food here is really great so I'm giving it 4 stars. I also had the half cream of crab half Maryland crab soup and that was delicious! I was visiting from out of town and this place was recommended to me bc they are open 24hrs. Cool concept but we had to wait a very long time for our food and when we finally got it, I could not believe the hype. The crab dip is old bay flavored cream cheese with a sprinkle of crab I didn't even taste. We literally couldn't even finish it! Straight cream cheese only! The sampler platter we got looked like someone's leftovers. The only thing I would come back to this place for is the dessert! Get a piece of cake! All flavors are delicious! I was not planning to write a review but when I saw so many negative ones, I thought i needed to comment. I was there recently for an excellent breakfast. First off, the restaurant itself is beautiful! I have not been there in at least 10 years...what a difference!!! The remodel was definitely worth it and the white table cloths are just a little more to add to the ambience. That starts when you realize they have their own parking lot behind the restaurant. The decor is just right: a hymn to silent film star, Rudolph Valentino, with many pictures and mementos on the walls...a nice touch. The menu is varied (we checked out lunch and dinner menus as well). The host and server were both delightful, as was everyone else with whom we came into contact. Could not have been better. The majority of negative reviews here on yelp come from customers who did carry out or ordered via one of the many delivery services. I think it is unfair to judge a restaurant with a dining room if you don't actually eat in the dining room! Our food was excellent, everything was done to perfection and the service was impeccable. (it was a rainy day the day we came, and the server even provided plastic bags for our wet umbrellas!). After the meal, we had to ask for our checks (the waiter did not want to rush us.) We enjoyed the restaurant so much that I am taking my games group there for dinner next time we meet. Some folks have said it is expensive. My reaction to that is no more expensive than any other establishment these days...all in line with Bidenomics! However, there are very inexpensive options on the menu as well. yeah, I am gonna write another review. My wife and I have ordered from Valentino's once a week, easily, since this whole Covid thing started. We DoorDash Valentino's, and in a timely fashion our food gets here. And it is ALWAYS DELICIOUS. If I were to guess, in the last 6 months we ordered 20 times and 20 times the food is consistent, tasty, hot, and most important of all, correct! And they have some great people working for them who always want to make sure it is right, or if/when wrong, it gets right! From the Reuben sandwich(my wifes' fave) to the wings, the pizza, the pasta (I like the spaghetti and meatballs, she is for the Chicken Parm), we always are satisfied.
