A hidden gem for sure! I see why Guy from Diners Dive In and Drives came here in 2011! Food: Everything we ate was delicious! I did not expect too much but the honey old bay wings were fresh, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. The neptune sandwich was big, fresh, and full of flavor. They make the cheese sauce in house and you need it on the loaded tots, trust me. Service: Our server was quick and attentive. She was always around if needed and brought things out quickly. We ordered creamed chipped beef, bacon, cheddar cheese eggs, toast, hash browns, pancakes, and scrambled eggs. Nothing tasted good. The scrambled eggs were cold and bland. The potatoes had no flavor whatsoever. The pancakes were room temperature, thin, unflavorful, and worse than Bisquick. The bacon was okay. The Kraft square slice cheese that they use was barely melted onto the eggs. This was definitely a rush job and not worth the $35 bill. The service from the server was good and the ambiance and decor were nice. We will not return. read more

On May 8th 2025 I went to the diner to get dinner for my wife because she was not feeling good. I ordered a small open face turkey meal with a salad. while waiting for the meal the waiter handed me the bill so I went to the cashier to pay and she asked if i wanted to leave a tip, and I replied no because it was a takeout. After taking my payment I notice she went to the kitchen, a little later the waiter brought me the meal as I was walking out I notice the food had a unusual strong smell. When my wife tasted the food she said the potatoes tasted awful. She took the food back and asked for the manager. my wife said the manager said that the food smelled like it should also my wife said the manager was working the cash register. my wife replaced the order with a salmon meal which was to dry to eat. This was very disappointed so e will not go there again. read more

Wow! I was not expecting much, because I've eaten in plenty of diners, but this meal taught me (again) the lesson of not being so judgmental. The Island Plate consists of gyro meat, grilled chicken, feta, Kalamata olives, and pita points over a bed of spinach. The grilled chicken was perfectly charred but also moist! The gyro meat was exactly what you want when you eat gyro meat--seasoned meaty bits with crispy edges. I'm not even a raw spinach fan, but the heat from the perfectly cooked meats wilted the spinach in a most appetizing way. I ate a lot of the greens. I also enjoyed the pita points... a little too much. They weren't just sliced up pitas, like many restaurants provide. These had a nice, light oil coating and then either deep fried or griddle fried. I liked putting spinach on the bread and then topping with chicken or gyro. The fresh feta lent a nice creaminess to cut the sharp saltiness of the meat. Topped off the meal with a mouse-topped chocolate confection. I've been so disappointed by desserts in some diners, but this one "takes the cake" (couldn't resist the obvious pun). The chocolate cake layer was rich, not mushy but also not at all dry. Fluffy milk chocolate cream filling, chocolate icing, and topped with a chocolate chunk "tail." Because I'm obsessed with food, I was practically drooling over the crab cake being delivered to the next table. It had a golden color to it that I've only ever seen at another restaurant that used to be my favorite for crab cakes. Regrettably, I visited their new location and the service was so lacking that I left before a server even came to the table. Needless to say, I'm excited to come back and try the golf ball sized crab cakes with the golden hue. Our service was wonderful. I only wish I could remember her name. Blonde ponytail, cheerful, kind smile, so efficient, personable, and made good eye contact. Normally, I don't mention hostess service, but I think the hostesses deserves shout-outs, too. I found the decor nostalgic and smile-inducing, especially the life-size Elvis and Betty Boop. I'm a sucker for collectibles, but also novelties that are oversized or miniature. Unexpected and whimsical? Count me in. The people in the restaurant seemed like they'd been there many times before. I can understand why they keep coming back. read more

The food was definitely a banger. Everything I ordered was inexpensive and greatly portioned. I came here with my dad due to his recommendation, and boy did he not disappoint. I order the Maryland Crab Soup (the cup size) and their basic pancake breakfast. You would think a $6 cup of crab soup would use maybe imitation crab, but NO it was real, legit crab. Clumps of it too, they were not skimpy on the meat. The basic pancake breakfast was good as well. It came with toast and pancakes which was A LOT for me haha, so I should've opted for fruit. Overall the food was amazing. The service was very good too. My dad has a lot of dietary restrictions, and our waitress accommodated all of it. She was very patient and very sweet. Other than our waitress, everyone else was so kind as well. Just a very welcoming atmosphere. The decor of the place was very... interesting haha. Whoever originally designed the diner loved Elvis. I got the country bird bowl which is fried chicken topped with cheese, bacon, onion rings, and a cream sauce over mashed potatoes. The chicken was well cooked and it had the perfect amount of cheese and sauce. The biscuits were good, but the mashed potatoes had no flavor and they weren't smooth. They had a weird chunky consistency, almost like the potatoes weren't cooked long enough. My friend got the hot rod meatloaf which is topped with pork, Mac and cheese, and cream sauce and also on top of mashed potatoes. The pork was really good! The meatloaf had a weird consistency and the flavor wasn't that great. The mac and cheese was nice and creamy though. Overall not a bad meal, but nothing to write home about. read more

I hadn't been to a good diner in a while so I was excited to try this place. WOW!!! I couldn't be more pleased. First, the staff is wonderful. Very pleasant and attentive. Second, the true diner vibe is there. Love the Elvis statue. Third, and most important, the seafood is spectacular! We got the jumbo stuffed shrimp (stuffed with crab imperial) and a special that was a huge bowl of cream of crab soup with little crab cakes on top. Amazing! Lovely diner with the true old school feel. I actually was in the mood for wings and they did an awesome job with the hard fried honey old bay wings. Had the mango tea and to me it was not sweet at all but it could have been because of the honey and it also is better for me. definitely should have had breakfast because the pancakes were light and fluffy. I've been here three times now in the past two weeks. This place is GREAT. I have gone between the hours of 10-1200 and it's ALWAYS packed. However, the staff is quick, tentative and friendly. They are quick to give you a refill of your beverage and ask if you need anything else. The food is excellent. I have had a breakfast wrap, and sandwiches. The coffee is also great. I highly recommend this establishment! read more

Don't trust the low reviews. There are many delicious things on the menu and the service is good. It does not belong in Dundalk.

Every now and again we venture out to Dundalk for one of our favorite meals of all time...sour beef and dumplings baby. I cannot comment on anything else. I always get the half order and still take some home. Photo is of my leftovers the next day (which is actually better than fresh!). Goulash would be the closest thing to compare this dish to, but it's betterrrrrr. The whole time you're scarfing it down you'll be wondering...hmm what's in here? You gotta watch the triple D ep to find out! Guy ate here and had the dish, which is actually how we found out about it. No frills, great service. The atmosphere is very retro, which I really enjoyed- it felt like stepping back in time. The service was friendly and attentive, which added to the pleasant experience. However, I did find it to be quite pricey, and I'm not entirely sure if the food justifies the cost. Adequate but not great. I stopped in for some breakfast on a quiet Thursday morning. The service was very good. The waitress was friendly and helpful. I took a seat at the bar. Unlike most diners, the menu was very limited. Just basic breakfast items. I ordered a bacon and cheddar omelette with hash browns. My meal came in under 10 minutes; not bad. However, the omelette was over cooked and a little burned. The flavor was ok, but being over cooked, it wasn't a great breakfast. The hash browns were properly cooked, but bland. Overall, an adequate breakfast, but I doubt I'd return. I recommend going the extra mile to Endy's Grill in Essex. They have a fantastic breakfast! read more

Atmosphere: The Boulevard Diner stands out along the highway. It's a stereotypical shiny and metallic diner. You won't find something more "dineresc." The interior is the same metallic and retro vibe as the exterior. It's a large diner with plenty of seating. You walk in next to a bar, and you have the option for a booth or table. Food: I haven't been to an East Coast diner in over a year! I was excited to have an endless menu with every option from all-day breakfast, lunch, and dinner specials. It wasn't until after I left that I learned that the Boulevard Diner in Dundalk, Md was actually on diners, dine-in, and drives. Apparently, it's known for its sour beef and dumplings, and stuffed grape leaves created from a family recipe. I wish I would have known prior because I always try and order whatever Guy had. Poor research on my end! (my only research was what is close because I'm hungry). I decided to order a diner staple, the greek salad. Greek salads were one of the first things I ever tried at a diner. On the East Coast and true diners, they are always large, and filling this one from the Boulevard Diner (Dundalk, Md) was just that. I added salmon as well. The salad barely fit in my to-go container, and the salmon portion was massive. The Greek salad also had an extra amount of cheese. It would have been fun to have grape leaves (especially now learning the Boulivard Diner is known for them). In all, it was a great salad, and I have no complaints. It was definitely the best diner salad I've had in a year (although I really haven't had that many). Cost: $$ For my greek salad and salmon, it was $22. It is pretty expensive for a diner salad, but it was extremely filling, and for most people, it would be two meals. Service: I ordered take-out. The food took roughly 30 minutes to cook, and by the time I arrived, it was done. The meal was great, and I have no complaints. The hostess was friendly, and my general experience was good. Overall Thoughts/Would I Come Back? I really liked the Boulevard Diner and I would love to come back and try some of the staples on diners, drive-ins, and dives. I did carry out here for the drunken crabcake. I had been looking at it on Facebook for a week and decided to get it for my birthday dinner. We ordered four of them and they were wonderful. The crabcake is delicious! I would definitely order these again they come with a side of salad or soup, and we got Maryland crab on the side. That was very good as well. The order was ready when we arrived to pick it up and the two ladies that waited on me were very friendly and very quick. This place just...is. The only reason it's still open after all this time is because it's convenient location in the heart of Dundalk and the loyal following it has amassed of Dundalkians throughout the years. Food is subpar. I've never been blown away by the food, and since their menu is miles long, you know most of it is boxed, canned, and frozen because there's no way a medium sized diner whose only attraction is the locals is at all capable of keeping fresh ingredients without exorbitant waste. Service is subpar. The staff always forgets to bring you requested items, and last time they forgot to bring the sides listed in the menu. It usually feels like there's only two waiters in the entire diner, one for the left of the bakery spread and one to the right. Additionally, when busy, the hostess will make you wait instead of seating in the ever-empty side room. This time the hostess clearly had no clue and told us 10-15 minutes, but we left after waiting for 40 minutes with no end in sight, with four and a half people in our group. This hasn't been the first time we've left without being seated. Cleanliness is subpar. You will always, always find dust bunnies inside. My rule for restaurants is that if I can see the dirt, the kitchen's worse. And that's it. Nothing impressive. Certainly nothing to write home about. read more

We keep an ongoing list of restaurants to go to for date night. I was craving French toast and the Boulevard is only 15 mins from my house so of course it was a must after seeing it had been shown on one of my favorite shows. Wife and order the Boulevard Special because it has a little bit of everything and we still get French Toast!! Whoop whoop. Service was good for a dinner (we sat on the far left with only one other couple while the entire right side was packed). We get our food and I have to admit it was great. Challah French toast, eggs with cheese, bacon, toast and potatoes. If I had to rate our server and food I'd give 4 stars. This issue happens here. I see an ant crawling on the table after I've finished my meal. No biggie these things happen I've worked in the food industry, I kill it and keep it moving and then I look up... mind you the syrups in front of me still and look in the clear glass and it's the are at several ants in the syrup and what looks like a gnats. NICE!!!! Just what I wanted with my breakfast! I'm not the type to cause a scene so as I pay we grab the syrup bottle and take it to the register (pissed). I say to the cashier I'm bringing this up here because there are ants in it. She looks at it and states "did you have something with syrup" yes... she removes something off the bill total and after I the bills paid just says sorry. I was so excited about the meal and the Boulevard, but I will not be back and now I will check my syrup at most restaurants for a while. read more

Although I can't say this was the best diner we've ever eaten in, I can say it was pretty dang good!! This diner was featured on an episode of Food Network's "Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives." If Guy Fieri says it's good, why not give it a shot?! Service was definitely fast for 8:30 at night. My daughter and I ordered the meatloaf...how could we not? We both got the Meat Tower, and they weren't joking with the name!! A hot meatloaf sandwich with mashed potatoes, onion rings, covered in delicious gravy. Winning!! Neither one of us were able to finish it!! My husband got the Greek salad with gyro meat and wasn't very impressed. Basic bagged lettuce mix with some grilled meat. Guess you can't win them all. This being the diner that the Governor of the State Of Maryland eats at as well as the President Of The United States Of America. I had to give it a try. Excellent service. Very friendly & classy employees. Everyone smiles. You're greeted and treated like gold in here. The service was very excellent. Also the food came out in normal time. All the food was fully cooked. Also very good portion sizes on the omelette meals. Decor is excellent for the diner scene. The overall place was spotless. The general crowd is middle class and mainly 95% adults. They have tons of parking outside. Spaces are a little tight though. So be careful with exotic cars. DEFINITELY my go2 diner whenever I'm in the dundalk area. What a rip off. I ordered a crispy chicken salad for $15.00 What I got was a bag salad with a thin chicken patty that was obviously from a box, cut into strips. Ordered a watermelon crush and tasted like the thickest, syrupiest drink ever, so nasty, sent it back. Ordered thr special and 15 minutes after we placed our order, the waitress said that the special was no longer available. Ordered the crabcake with a baked potato and corn. The crabcake looked really good but the crab was dry. The baked potato was cold, corn was ok. We got dinner rolls and they were warm, but dry and hard inside. My husband got the meatloaf which he liked but his baked potato was cold. This diner is like the ones we have in NJ. I was however disappointed that they do not do substitutions.... That's sort of a staple diner thing....order what you want...I would recommend this diner for anyone who cannot decide where to go and eat but be prepared to not alter your order. read more
