A hidden gem for sure! I see why Guy from Diners Dive In and Drives came here in 2011! Food: Everything we ate was delicious! I did not expect too much but the honey old bay wings were fresh, crispy, and perfectly seasoned. The neptune sandwich was big, fresh, and full of flavor. They make the cheese sauce in house and you need it on the loaded tots, trust me. Service: Our server was quick and attentive. She was always around if needed and brought things out quickly. Vibe: This is an older restaurant so keep that in mind, the interior shows that. A true classic diner. Parking: Big free parking lot Pricing: Very reasonable for the portion sizes

The food was delicious and the portions are large. The service was excellent and it was fast. The decorations bring back a lot of memories from the 60s.

Boulevard Diner is a unique dinning experience and embraces the cuisine of Baltimore and Maryland. They serve items such as Maryland Crab Cakes, crab soup and incredible seafood dishes. This restaurant was also featured on Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. I ordered crab soup, a small portion of Shrimp Creole (which was not small in portion size, just small in price), and a slice of chocolate and vanilla cream cake. Every part of my meal was outstanding, and the service was amazing. If you want to try the native cuisine of Baltimore, this is the place to go.

The food was definitely a banger. Everything I ordered was inexpensive and greatly portioned. I came here with my dad due to his recommendation, and boy did he not disappoint. I order the Maryland Crab Soup (the cup size) and their basic pancake breakfast. You would think a $6 cup of crab soup would use maybe imitation crab, but NO it was real, legit crab. Clumps of it too, they were not skimpy on the meat. The basic pancake breakfast was good as well. It came with toast and pancakes which was A LOT for me haha, so I should've opted for fruit. Overall the food was amazing. The service was very good too. My dad has a lot of dietary restrictions, and our waitress accommodated all of it. She was very patient and very sweet. Other than our waitress, everyone else was so kind as well. Just a very welcoming atmosphere. The decor of the place was very... interesting haha. Whoever originally designed the diner loved Elvis. It was a little tacky but still so cute. Overall though, I will be back, very good experience.

All the food I saw looked great. My Reuben was excellent. Service was efficient and friendly. Will come back here again. See my pics first the Reuben and a Meatball

Country bird bowl

Hostess seemed less than thrilled to be working lol. Our server was friendly though. I got the country bird bowl which is fried chicken topped with cheese, bacon, onion rings, and a cream sauce over mashed potatoes. The chicken was well cooked and it had the perfect amount of cheese and sauce. The biscuits were good, but the mashed potatoes had no flavor and they weren't smooth. They had a weird chunky consistency, almost like the potatoes weren't cooked long enough. My friend got the hot rod meatloaf which is topped with pork, Mac and cheese, and cream sauce and also on top of mashed potatoes. The pork was really good! The meatloaf had a weird consistency and the flavor wasn't that great. The mac and cheese was nice and creamy though. Overall not a bad meal, but nothing to write home about.

What a place! Busy but fast and great food. We need more places that offer the variety of foods and hustling staff that Boulevard Diner has. If you have an idea of what you want I suggest still reviewing the large menu. It may surprise you, change your mind and still satisfy you. I'm not local but plan to visit on every trip to the area.

Don't trust the low reviews. There are many delicious things on the menu and the service is good. It does not belong in Dundalk.

I will NEVER return to the Boulevard Diner because they are now charging a 2.5% surge charge for credit cards.

The good prices and generous portions are just the ribbon on the prize. The dinner, I had the veal cutlet. Wow. The veal was the size of my head, and cooked just right. The gravy had just the right consistency. Breakfast on Saturday was an early one, and I had the country fried steak. Again, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. Sunday breakfast I tried the chipped beef. It had ALL the flavor and wasn't gritty tasting like some other diners. The service is ALWAYS friendly and fast, I've never had to wait for a seat, and my food comes out piping hot. The coffee is always fresh and they leave plenty of creamer. Parking is a little tight but not insane. Last but not least, they bring the check in a reasonable amount of time. I hate waiting forever for the check. The restaurant is clean, and brightly painted. There is also counter seating if you're flying solo. Definitely a place with local color, I think I found my new favorite spot on the Dundalk/Essex side of town!!!

So, in fear I drank the iced tea. I did notice as a prior rater stated, the vegan menu is very light, so i ordered a burger instead. After the waitress (the mean one) brought out the burger we needed some emotional encouragement to bite into that meat. Wow was that good. The mean waitress actually made me put my own ketchup on the fries. How DARE SHE!! Overall, I give the diner 5 stars only because the mean waitress told me i better write a good review...OR ELSE!! Come hungry leave happy, and remember to bring extra money because the waitress forces you to tip!

The hash browns I have no idea what in the world that was made out of, I thought potatoes but this had no flavor. The second time I'm like ok they can't screw up a cheeseburger and fries. Thankfully it was better but nothing I would recommend to anyone. The burger was cooked a little above medium to well done. The egg was over easy but tasted a little off, and there was that bacon. The bun was nice and soft and the fries were decent enough. The strawberry lemonade I pretty much didn't drink too much of as it tasted bitter. I felt really bad for my waitress as she seemed like she was scared half the time. I did leave her a good tip. And to top it off the claw machine was out of order. I was really looking forward to that at least. Oh well, maybe I'll try again and maybe I won't. I really wanted this place to be better.

We popped in right at 7 one morning before work and actually beat the server and the hostess there. The staff was friendly and mostly left us alone but for frequent coffee refills, and the food was about what I expected from a restaurant that is basically a different version of IHOP. The bacon was thick and crispy and way better quality than anticipated and the over easy eggs were cooked perfectly, which is rare. The protein and buckwheat pancakes were nice surprises on the menu and were quite tasty. The neighborhood has a dearth of true weekday breakfast places, and this is a nice option. She made excellent and honest recommendations such as the Florentine Benedict hyping the up French toast as it deserves.
