This establishment should have ALL the stars just based on service, friendliness and atmosphere alone! Then add the food and the drinks and ALL the additional stars as well. If I lived locally this would definitely be the place o would want to be a regular. I had the Rachel and Old Bay chips and it was outstanding. My Diet Coke was made the old fashion soda shoppe way. This is also a pure class establishment. I cannot say enough good things and seriously cannot wait to come visit again next time I'm up that way!

A throwback to the old diners. I absolutely love this cute hidden gem located inside Drug City Pharmacy. The guys who work there are super friendly. The decor is charming. The chocolate milkshake is heavenly! I'm lactose intolerant but I just couldn't resist. The food isn't shabby either.

Very retro to start with, it really gives a spin to restaurant concepts, it created an atmosphere that takes you back to parlor days, quite quaint. Service is excellent, they stay on top of things and plenty of hustle to get all aspects of customer service done. I ordered a cup of homemade chili, so good, it came with sour cream on the side. My husband had the delicious tomato soup and an Italian cold cut sub, all fresh including the sub roll. Something new to us from days past was sugar free phosphates. This is a popular drink among diners there. SF was offered in cherry and black cherry, we preferred the black cherry. Daily specials offered on the board out front as well as on the menu flyer at the table. I do wish they would have French fries, but they offer chips plain or seasoned with an abundant variety. Reasonable prices.

TLDR: Retro soda fountain in the back of The Drug Store Pharmacy/Liquor store that serves up handmade sodas, floats and cocktails. Also has a lunch/dinner service with tasty daily specials. Vibe: 5/5. Tucked away in the back left corner of The Drug Store Pharmacy, The Fountain is thoughtfully decorated to make you feel you're back in the 50's. A vintage wood top bar occupies most of the parlor with ample stool seating. There are a handful of 2 tops as well as a couple booths for larger groups. Service: 5/5. The wait staff at The Fountain did a fantastic job in providing top notch hospitality from start to finish. Our server was quick to get us seated and beverage orders taken. Food and specialty drinks from the soda jerk came out quickly considering the extra time they take to prepare. Food/Drink: We ordered several things from both the food and drink menus and everything came out fantastic. Beverage wise, we ordered a black cow (root beer with vanilla ice cream mixed in) float, an old fashioned egg cream and a toasted strawberry milkshake. All ice cream based drinks are made with Taharka ice cream which is a local favorite based out of Hampden. On the food front, we ordered the reuben and the all American club. Both sandwiches were piled high with deli meat and came with a side of chips which can be tossed in an array of seasonings by request. Overall, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu and with most items below $8, the value cannot be beat!

Here me out- you can this hidden gem inside a liquor/local convenient store It's a newer addition to the business and only open certain hours and days but it's a must must check out spot ! They have a limited menu but the portions are huge ! And they have a great selection of house made sodas and floats! For the their milkshakes they only use Taharka flavors which is a Baltimore favorite and you just have to see it with your own eyes

Sooo cozy with that old time soda fountain feel.

WOw!!! You walk in and its like being transported to the past. Its cozy, ambient, and has old time music playing. Its also gleamingly clean and crisp. The food was nothing short of impressive, like shockingly good for a sandwich style restaurant. Service was fast and fun and friendly. GET THE CHIPS!!!!! You can flavor them!!! ( Honey mustard - 15 thumbs up!!) All the food tastes like it was made right there. The milk shakes are what I imagine heaven might taste like. The boozy milkshake really delivered on the booze and amazing milk shake taste. (Pinacolada boozey shake was ahhhhmazing) My new favorite place to grab a bite.

This is the cutest little place nestled inside of a local drug store. I was recently there on an errand and my teen daughter and frnd begged me to go in there and have an ice cream. Apparently the place has a great vibe according to them. Our waiter was awesome, almost felt like I was in a fancy restaurant then a tiny restaurant. He really interacted well with the two teenagers even though they asked him a million questions. I felt very welcomed. The place is set up like an old fashioned soda fountain and lunch counter. I wish I would have taken more photos. We ended up getting a soda which ou can have in like 15 flavors and then on our refill he encouraged us to try another flavor. I had the grape and root beer. We decided to get lunch. I had heard their crab cakes are awesome but unfortunately they were out that day but since I'll be going back I'll definitely get to try them. I ordered a chicken salad sandwich...very good and filling. My daughter got chicken nuggets and her friend got crab dip with pretzel bites. They both enjoyed their lunch as well. We then finished it off with one scoop of ice cream each. DELICIOUS! The prices are very reasonable. At least I think so. 3 meals 3 drinks and 3 desserts was about 30 dollars. I will definitely be going back there for lunch. and/or ice cream soon!

I think it's worth mentioning that I've never had pit beef before so I am by no means an expert as to what's good or not. I will also say however, that what I ordered, the open face pit beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy was ok. The entire plate was swimming in gravy so that took away from what could've been a better meal. I did ask for gravy on the whole sandwich and the mashed potatoes (because the picture on their website looked like gravy only came on the mashed potatoes and I do like a little extra) but I wasn't expecting a to-go box literally full of gravy, so that's probably my fault. The texture of the beef mixed with all the gravy and mashed potatoes was a bit unpleasant and soupy and I periodically had to pick burnt bits and foil out my mouth so that also took away from the experience. They seem to have a pretty vast menu and I had no idea what I was going to get when I walked in. The young lady that took my order was very friendly and helped me come to my decision so the customer service was good and I appreciated her patience with me. As far as ambiance goes, while I was waiting for my order, there was an older man waiting for his order that was yelling at the tv about how Joe Biden hasn't done anything for this country and that Trump only told the truth. I try not to get caught up in politics with strangers because it really can be off putting but what can you do. I wouldn't do the gravy with a side of open face pit beef sandwich again but there's so many other options I'd like to try in the future should I find myself in the area again. A man that was also waiting for his order said he really like the ribs.

But now they are Italian and part of a growing chain of restaurants. I wish they would remove the "Curry Cafe" sign from their side window because it brings me grief. They no longer have any Indian food on their menu, or anything remotely curry-like, so this is false advertising, but we used to go to Caddyshack for Butter Chicken and the like, when we had a craving and now we have to go into the city to find delicious Indian food. I miss the convenience of being able to go just down the street for mango lassis and naan. I don't eat nearly as much Indian food as I would like because Fell's Point seems like such a haul from Dundalk. It's not, really, but you get my point. We were coming home from Jeremy's surgery and no one had the energy to make dinner. We needed something cheap that could feed three people (Justin was with us because Jeremy wasn't allowed to drive after his ordeal, and I can't drive) so pizza sounded about right. Even when this place was Caddyshack, we never ordered pizza, so we took a shot and I ordered online (I love the convenience of being able to do that. Socially awkward people unite!). The pizza (with sausage, pepperoni, and onion) was amazing. The crust is thin, with enough flavor to it that my cat Jayne decided that he needed to steal my bone/crust right off my plate. He's so spoiled. The onions were a little sparse, but my tastebuds didn't miss them because the sausage and pepperoni were so delicious. They were running a deal for Tuesday, where you could get a 16" three-topping pizza for a VERY reasonable price, so I tacked on some hot honey wings, too. Not a fan of those. They're typical wings, but the hot honey sauce didn't sing. I should have ordered my favorite - sweet thai chili, so that's MY error, not the restaurant's. I would definitely go back for the pizza. The three of us tore through that thing, leaving nothing behind. Really superb.

Very good pizza, excellent cream of crab soup, even better price! I will keep going back.read more

Between the phenomenal liquor selection, full pharmacy services, and the hidden Fountain lunch counter in the back, it is the ultimate one stop shop. They are known for their excellent selection of whiskey, consistently landing rare allocations while maintaining some of the best pricing in the area. I make it a point to stop by every single week because their inventory is always changing and you never know what you might find on the shelves. They also run a very generous rewards program. It allows you to bank your points over time so you can eventually use them to purchase high end, rare bottles at MSRP dealer prices, which is a massive perk for enthusiasts.
