What a FUN place to go! The atmosphere and music was great, the menu and food were delicious and kid friendly. Add a friendly staff and you have a winner all the way around!

They are open! And the service and food and ambiance are the same as alway! Welcoming and charming! I truly hope signaling this establishment as closed was a genuine mistake!

I had breakfast with two friends at Lost in the 50s Diner a few weeks ago. It was packed - we got what looked like the last seats at the bar (and it appeared every table was taken). I enjoyed the food - very simple, traditional diner food - but the food took quite a long time since they were so busy (it took about 30 minutes to get our food - which felt like forever at a bar seat at a diner - just eggs and bacon!). It definitely seemed like they were having a hard time keeping up with orders! The staff was friendly. The food was a pretty good version of classic diner options. It had lots of retro 50s charm decor. But it was just a very slow meal, so for that reason I wouldn't return for breakfast on a weekend.

Lost in the fifties is a hidden treasure 9:30 am and the place is packed. And a line at the door and that is all ok if you have been here to eat before. If you haven't eaten here before it is truly worth the wait. Don't miss out

This photo isn't a great representation of your restaurant. You might want to get an eye-catching (colorful) photo to replace this one.

I've heard great things about this place! I'm leaving a five star review here in anticipation of the great service and yummy comfort food I'll have when I visit. I left a note to the management that they really need to exchange the blah photo of a pancake with another shot that's colorful and eye-catching. Next time we go to Sunday brunch we'll be here and I hope those five stars stay up there.

Decent place for a decent breakfast. I got a carry-out order of scrambled eggs, hash browns and grits. It was ready in 10-15 minutes from when I placed the order. The customer service is great and I love that the staff is all women. The food, however, is pretty underwhelming (I can make a better breakfast at home). But it fits the bill if you want a simple breakfast and the convenience of not having to make it yourself. My food ended up being a couple dollars more than the menu price but I will attribute that to the menu on Yelp being a couple years old. I would have been less disappointed in the meal if it cost the price I thought it was ($5 instead of $8).

This "diner" is only open for breakfast and lunch which is a shame because I think the neighborhood needs more places that serve food late at night. The food was pretty good. My creamed chipped beef was tasty if a bit under seasoned. Some salt and pepper would have helped a lot! It was very creamy and oddly not super heavy so that was a major plus. The home fries were actual home fries with grilled onions and not hash browns (I hate when hash browns--unflavored fried potatoes--are passed off as the far superior home fries) and the portions were generous. My husband had 2 eggs, sausage patties, two pancakes and grits. The grits were really good! No instant or lumpy grits here! The stand out of both of our meals was the perfectly grilled sausage patties though. The service was friendly and the decor was very cute. Despite being in a unassuming storefront it really looked like a diner inside. I liked the booths (although they were a little snug) and the pictures of 1950s Baltimore. The best thing? Our bill was only $15 for both meals!

Delicious French toast with eggs and bacon.

I've recently started working in the area and they are supper close thus I decided to try them out…read more I was very excited when I saw it was Korean owned however their K-food section is only two items; Bulgogi Dupbap & the Bulgogi Sub. The rest of the menu is American stuff. I've as of now tried both of these and very content with the taste and filling of these two, the price is reasonable per the portion and yummyness($12.49) plus tax about $13.25. The only thing I would change a bit is making sure that the juice from the bulgogi doesn't soak the bread too much cuz then it's mushy. I like a crunchy texture to my subs, but the may be just my preference. Both the son and the mom are super nice, if you become a regular it's very nice to have people know what you want right away. The atmosphere is very warm and friendly. I hope that they can incorporate more korean food to their menu, at least 2 more that have a different protein so we have a bit more variety. Though I understand why the options for kfood are limited given the area's population. Things to keep in mind: - When you order let them know if you want it to go or to eat there. Nobody can read minds, but they will do their best to ask you prior to packaging to confirm. - It can get busy so sometimes transaction may take longer because people are multitasking. - - - Don't rip out the receipt, you might be taking the wrong copy. Wait for the cashier to hand it to you or simply ask. -If you have questions about a product, ask them and don't assume. Yes. There is a big menu and pamphlets available and they provide brief item description but if that's not clear, just ask. They also have prepackaged salads, fruit and a few sweet treats, along with MissVickies chips, and bottle drinks. It's a cafe so the basics. Overall, really nice experience. Tots recommended :3

The service was good, and the dishes were tasty, but nothing that really stood out. That being said, I miss the old owner--there was something special about his presence that made every visit feel more welcoming and personal. I hope the new management keeps things moving in the right direction. I'll definitely return, but it's just not quite the same without the old vibe.

I had the Southern Slammer Sandwich (with the grits) and my sister had the Fried Chicken, Biscuit and Gravy Omelet (with the hash browns). We couldn't stop saying how good they were! The service was on point, everyone was very nice, and the noise level was fine. Here is something I literally have never experienced anywhere else: My sister has a couple of food allergies and she gave the waitress a piece of paper where she listed out what she can and cannot have. A few minutes later, a lovely young woman (I think she said she was a manager) came out and discussed the list with my sister in detail, just to make sure the restaurant got it exactly right. My sister almost cried! As far as timing goes: They don't take reservations, but they have an efficient system -- when you arrive, they take down your name and phone number, tell you how long the wait will be, and then text you when it's your turn. They told us 40 minutes but it turned out to be only 20, so it's good we hadn't wandered too far away. Next time we're in Baltimore, we'll definitely be back.

Spousal Unit and I took the voracious pack o' GrandKiddies for breakfast after a Wicked-good night on the town in Bawlmer, hon. So we had to cart them all to Blue Moon! Blue Moon was featured on Guy Fieri's DDD show, making it (and it's second location, Blue Moon Too) insanely popular. As a result, it's always busy, and because of it's size, there is no space to wait inside until a table is ready. For a person with knee issues, that meant painfully climbing up and down the steps more than a few times (and did I mention is was windy and cold?). Once inside, it's a quirky place, with interesting art work everywhere - but the main draw is the food. Ah, the food... Blue Moon is well known for it's Sweet Baby Jesus (Hash browns topped with jumbo lump crab, seasoned with Old Bay, fresh diced tomatoes, melted cheddar cheese, 2 eggs and Hollandaise) and Captain Crunch French Toast (crushed Captain Crunch cereal encrusted French toast topped with fresh fruit and cream, served with syrup on the side). They also make a killer Biscuits and Sausage Gravy sized to feed an army, and a wide variety of pancakes, omelettes, and sandwiches. Our vultures overordered (did I say they were hungry?) but left not a scrap of food on their plates, a small wonder given that they are not adventurous eaters. Everything was beautifully cooked, promptly served, and delicious. Our server was a wisecracking joy - friendly, knowledgeable, and really efficient. She provided needed distractions as our GKs gnawed the table waiting for food to arrive. Way cool! Spousal Unit and I have eaten at Blue Moon Too in the past. It's comforting to experience the same joy at each location. Really, really recommend stopping in at eather (see what I did there?) location when you're in town.
