Egg and cheese biscuit with avocado
    Kayisha E.

I'm on a tour of cafes in the city to experience the best teas, pastries, and spaces to work. This is probably number six on my tour so far. I had no issues finding the location or with finding parking, which is always a plus! Upon entering, I noticed how small the area is to order food. Although it's not a big deal for me, I do worry about how accommodating it is/isn't for customers with fuller body types. Something for them to consider. The cashier immediately greeted me and offered a handheld menu, which was helpful because I left my glasses in the car lol There was a plethora of food options for a cafe. I was torn between a seasonal option and a regularly offered option. I eventually went with the egg and cheese biscuit with avocado. I wanted tea, but the options they had were standard teas, so I stuck with water. The water is complimentary and self-serve. Seating is on the other side of the area where orders are placed. It's a super cute area! Because I love natural light, I chose a cute bench near the window. Unfortunately, similar to the area where you order, the seating may not be as accommodating for customers with fuller body types. My food came out quickly. The eggs were cooked perfectly, and I really enjoyed the flavor and texture of the biscuit. On the other hand, I didn't care for the avocado on the sandwich. Next time, I'll order without that addition. Overall, I'd revisit this place again to pick up an egg and biscuit sandwich to go but not to drink tea or work. In the meantime, my tour continues

We popped in right before it got crazy busy. Basically you arrive, get in a line to order your food (there are some items available to go on their grab and go refrigerated section) and they give you a table number. When we queued up there was a line but it moved pretty quick. I got a toffee scone, strawberry matcha latte and a gravlax toast. My bf got a mushroom naan and a strawberry rhubarb pastry. I enjoyed my food but I did find the scone to be a touch too... dry and crumbly? And I didn't quite enjoy the roe on my gravlax toast. It kind of gave a bitter flavor contrast with the sweet beets on it. My bf did enjoy his mushroom naan shawarma and his pastry item. I'd be open to coming back and trying other items on the menu. Do wish they had some alternate meat options for their pork sausages.

I've had Corner Pantry in the past when the parents at the school I work for orders us catered breakfast. Their French toast bakes, egg casseroles, and scones with the berry compote are my faves. I came here recently because one of the parents gave me a gift card. I treated myself to some breakfast. I was disappointed because the items I've had are only available for catering. Instead, I ordered a full order of pancakes to go. It came with apple butter, creme fraiche, shortbread crumble, and syrup. They pancakes were just ok. I definitely could have used more syrup, as they only give you one 2oz cup. I think if I visit again, it would just be for a pastry.

I have been wanting to have breakfast/brunch at The Corner Pantry for forever, and we finally made it this past Saturday. The Corner Pantry is a British cafe and bakery, and I really love their menu. There are some British classics: Welsh Rarebit, crumpets (including a crumpet breakfast sandwich with treacle butter), eggs with soldiers, Full English breakfast, scones, sausage rolls, Cornish pasties, other "bits and bobs." I had one of their bits and bobs - a very healthy breakfast of cucumber (halved), with cream cheese, cured salmon, pickled onion, and lemon zest. My husband had a biscuit sandwich with bacon, egg, and cheese. He also got a chocolate chip scone for later. And we had a cappuccino and a London Fog (which was maybe a teensy bit too sweet), too. I wanted everything from their pastry display case. Literally, everything. Their pastries and beautiful and had lots of seasonal flavors. The restaurant is beautiful (it was just renovated) - very simple, classic, clean. It definitely gets packed. We were there around 9:30 on a Saturday. After ordering and getting our number for the table, we waited to find an open table. Because the food comes quickly, tables did open up pretty quickly, too. We grabbed a table as a group got up (they cleaned the table so fast), and were enjoying our breakfast within minutes. That brings me to the other A+ part of The Corner Pantry: the service. Their staff are wonderful! Because it gets so busy, I wouldn't say it's your best option for a leisurely breakfast (I didn't want to sit too long since people who were arriving after us needed a table to enjoy their breakfasts at), but it's a great spot for breakfast. A unique menu of lots of dishes that aren't that easy to find in Baltimore and prepared well (delicious!), and great service. Definitely a great spot!

This place looks pretty, and all the pastries looks cute. Unfortunately the taste was just okay. The coffee were not the best either, maybe regular coffee is okay, but I switched regular milk to oat milk, it tasted very weird than usual. Unfortunately it won't be the best spot to compare some other ones, but it's certainly a cute place in the neighborhood.

I briefly stopped in this past Saturday to grab a quick bite, because I utilize the stretch zone in the same shopping center and had some time to kill before my appointment. And this place was packed at 12 noon. Don't be alarmed the line moved expeditiously. I just grabbed a cheddar biscuit on this visit, but can I say that was the best biscuit I've had in a long time. Their menu is pretty extensive from delicious breakfast sandwiches to egg platters and fluffy pancakes, a wonderful assortment of pastries to a bevy of salads and sandwiches. I will be returning because I would love to try other menu items. The service was phenomenal here and the staff is very courteous and helpful. Will definitely be returning. So I was able to return last Saturday for lunch and tried the TCP turkey sandwich. Hands down the best turkey sandwich I have had in a long time. They use toasted ciabatta bread and it is just a good mix of white cheddar, avocado, crisp salad greens with charred jalapeño aioli. And it comes with their house made chips with malt vinegar, yum. So if your in the Falls Road corridor, make sure you stop in, you won't be disappointed

Coronation chicken sandwich with salt and vinegar chips

I love the corner pantry! favorites include the coronation chicken salad (curried chx salad for the uninitiated), the breakfast sandwich on cheddar biscuit with soft scrambled eggs, the griddled crumpet, and the chocolate chip cookies. It's got a great airy, bright vibe for eating in and most everything I've had has been tasty. If I had one complaint, it's that there are no non pork breakfast meat options, not even vegan substitutes. Would love to see a turkey bacon, chicken or vegan sausage, etc. I do believe the prices are a bit inflated-I think $15 for a cup of soup or over $20 for lunch menu items is pushing it.

Crispy potato & bacon bits, hassleback carrots, biscuit sandwich

With so many good things to say about The Corner Pantry, I don't know where to begin. I recently got to visit The Corner Pantry during a girl's lunch and we all thoroughly enjoyed the food and experience. Before digging into our appetizers we munched on some chocolate chip cookies, which to me were heaven. Chocolaty chunks in a crispy, butter cookie, perfectly baked. What more could you ask for? As we muddled on what to eat we asked one of the servers about some menu items, and she was literally the best at giving us the information we needed to make a decision. Checking in with the chefs to confirm what she told us was right, giving food recommendations, and even later checking to see how we enjoyed our food, even though she wasn't our server and was finishing up her shift for the afternoon. We settled on the hassleback carrots as an appetizer and the flavors blew us away. For a vegetable to have so much flavor and a meaty taste was amazing. We also tried the crispy potato & bacon bits, which were also another delectable dish. For my main selection I got the smoked turkey sandwich. Which was good but could've used a little more seasoning and would've faired better on softer bread such as focaccia over ciabatta. Outside of that critique, we loved everything about The Corner Pantry and basking in the beautiful sun in their outdoor seating. I definitely can't wait for my next visit.

Checked out Corner Pantry, and saw a plentiful array for different options. I gravitated to the chocolate chip cookie and the earl grey cream chocolate chip cookies. Presentation was great and customer service was quick and efficient. The chocolate chip early grey cream cookie was okay but wasn't what I was expecting. The cream didn't taste of earl grey. The cookies themselves weren't that soft. The chocolate chip cookie was good after reheating it. Despite my initial experience I'd try again if the opportunity presented itself.

    Half of my skinny egg!

Corner Pantry is hands down one of our favorite coffee shops in Baltimore. The food is AMAZING and their customer service is stellar. I usually get the skinny egg (a great vegetarian option), while my boyfriend (meat lover) is in love with the all day egg. I also enjoy their chai latte (notably definitely on the sweeter side) and can never resist trying their pastries from a delicious (and aesthetically pleasing) variety. The whole vibe is welcoming and bright. 10/10 recommend. Added plus that it's not too far from Roland Park.

The bakery! The smell was heavenly.

We went on a Saturday around noon and even though they were packed, we managed to find a table quickly. It was crowded and noisy inside, but still pleasant, with lots of natural lighting and the tables don't feel jammed in. They also had plenty of outdoor seating. You order at the counter, but servers bring your food. I ordered the Coronation Chicken and my grandson ordered the Egg Sandwich in a Cheddar Biscuit. The curried chicken salad was flavorful and he thoroughly enjoyed his sandwich. Everything was delicious! We took some sweets to go. We really like this place and will definitely be back!

Not sure why they charged me 2 dollars for half and half on coffee.. see bill below. Beware! I didn't notice till I got home. Otherwise,One of my favorite places to eat. Love the cheddar biscuit and egg sandwich with bacon.

Chocolate chip cookie and flat white coffee.

Great bakery and coffee. Chaotic/busy on Saturday morning and limited seating indoors. Quick staff.

I've recently started working in the area and they are supper close thus I decided to try them out…read more I was very excited when I saw it was Korean owned however their K-food section is only two items; Bulgogi Dupbap & the Bulgogi Sub. The rest of the menu is American stuff. I've as of now tried both of these and very content with the taste and filling of these two, the price is reasonable per the portion and yummyness($12.49) plus tax about $13.25. The only thing I would change a bit is making sure that the juice from the bulgogi doesn't soak the bread too much cuz then it's mushy. I like a crunchy texture to my subs, but the may be just my preference. Both the son and the mom are super nice, if you become a regular it's very nice to have people know what you want right away. The atmosphere is very warm and friendly. I hope that they can incorporate more korean food to their menu, at least 2 more that have a different protein so we have a bit more variety. Though I understand why the options for kfood are limited given the area's population. Things to keep in mind: - When you order let them know if you want it to go or to eat there. Nobody can read minds, but they will do their best to ask you prior to packaging to confirm. - It can get busy so sometimes transaction may take longer because people are multitasking. - - - Don't rip out the receipt, you might be taking the wrong copy. Wait for the cashier to hand it to you or simply ask. -If you have questions about a product, ask them and don't assume. Yes. There is a big menu and pamphlets available and they provide brief item description but if that's not clear, just ask. They also have prepackaged salads, fruit and a few sweet treats, along with MissVickies chips, and bottle drinks. It's a cafe so the basics. Overall, really nice experience. Tots recommended :3

The service was good, and the dishes were tasty, but nothing that really stood out. That being said, I miss the old owner--there was something special about his presence that made every visit feel more welcoming and personal. I hope the new management keeps things moving in the right direction. I'll definitely return, but it's just not quite the same without the old vibe.

SHUT THE FLUFF UP! SO GOOOOD!!!…read more We were in Baltimore with a few hours to spare in the morning, so what to do?!? First thing that comes to mind is... crab for breakfast! Ok yelp, show me watcha gat!!! Oh, AND Open Early! Unfortunately, we have just a few options pop up (Wha?!? REALLY?!? It's Baltimore, aren't they famous for crab?!?), so we choose to hit Blue Moon Cafe! Yelp directions are on point and only street parking from what we can see. We brave the brisk chilly breeze of early May to get to the cafe... BRRRR!!! Inside motif has a dark theme to it and small patronage area. Per the lovely Nicki who greeted us, Blue has been on Food Network a few times... DDD, Best Things I Ever Ate & Destination FOOD... so settin' the bar HIGH from the start! Ok, okay I dig the confidence!! Menu is via QR code but Nicki, becuz she's fun, excitedly announces the recs to the newbies, which are Sweet Baby Jesus & Cap'n Crunch French Toast. Thanks for the heads up! Sweet Baby has lump Crab in the dish so that's a confident YES! for that, but I spy something more appealing than Cap'n Crunch... Let's EAT! SWEET BABY JESUS!: Wifey and I wanted crab and this was Blue's big gun! So YES! To The Dish! It may appear as a simple Hash Brown dish but it is so much GLORIOUS than that! To start, Hash browns are browned & crisped perfectly and then the angel's touch happens... lump crab (generous portion) with Old Bay Seasoning, fresh diced tomatoes, melty cheese, 2 over Medium eggs and homemade Hollandaise Sauce. HOLEY MOLEY! DEEE-LISH! Generous crab serving allows you to have crab with EVERY bite of this dish! Mmmmm :) Love the ooey gooey stretchy cheese! Love the runny eggs! And that Hollandaise?!?! LEGIT! This heavenly dish deserves all the hype! The only drawback was the dish got cold fast because of the cold weather outside I assume. By the time I finished my order, and got to helping Wifey, not as WOWzers compared to when it first dropped on our table. Now we know... eat fast when it's cold outside. lol SHUT THE FLUFF UP! FRENCH TOAST: Once I read "peanut butter" in its ingredients, no way I was passing this up! Buh Bye fan fave Cap'n Crunch, maybe next time lol. Officially, menu "says" it's a Pretzel encrusted French Toast, layered with chunky peanut butter, marshmallow fluff and Chocolate drizzle... allegedly. The chocolate drizzle was not present when the plate landed but generous melty smooth peanut butter completely covered the top of the marshmallow fluff. Sliced Granny Smith apples and thin pretzels also topped the dish, with a powdered sugar drizzle over the entire plate. I asked for extra peanut butter on the side just because no one ever puts enough for my liking lol. And whattya know?!? This newest iteration of the dish was FABULOUS! Did they run out of stuff? Who cares! The synergy these items had with each other just made an amazing bite each and every time. BOMB-alicious!!! I don't really like marshmallow but it wasn't a hindrance here. I devoured the entire thing. Compliments to the chef! ;) VERY EASY RECOMMENDATION! Definitely worth a visit and a return visit, as well! If it's cold outside, focus on eating not chit chatting lol ENJOY! :)

My husband and I recently dined at Blue Moon Cafe in Fells Point, Baltimore, and were disappointed…read moreby our experience. The issue began when my husband politely asked a question about a menu item because it appeared to be spelled "browns" rather than "hash browns." He simply wanted clarification regarding what the item was. The server asked him for context, and he explained that he was referring to the item as it appeared on the menu. She then replied, "Oh, now I have context. That's a hash brown." My husband explained that because of the way it was written, he wasn't sure what it meant and was only asking a question before ordering. At that point, the server's tone became noticeably louder, and she responded, "Well, I only work here. I didn't write the menu." We found this response unnecessarily defensive and dismissive. At no point was my husband criticizing the server or correcting her. He was simply trying to understand a menu item. Shortly afterward, a different server began assisting our table, which gave us the impression that the original server was upset by the interaction. When my husband placed his order, he specifically requested that the restaurant's "animal sauce" be served on the side. The menu does not explain what animal sauce is, so he wanted to try it separately before putting it on his meal. When the food arrived, the dish was completely covered in the sauce rather than having it on the side as requested. Afterward, we learned that the sauce is a mixture of ketchup and mayonnaise. My husband does not eat mayonnaise and ketchup on eggs, which is exactly why he requested the sauce on the side. Unfortunately, because of the uncomfortable interaction earlier, he did not feel comfortable asking for the dish to be corrected and simply tried to eat around it. The meal was not inexpensive, and because the sauce had been poured over most of the food, he was unable to enjoy it. Approximately 80% of his meal was left uneaten. We understand that mistakes happen and that restaurant environments can be busy. However, customers should be able to ask questions about menu items and make simple requests without feeling uncomfortable or concerned about how those requests will be received. Description of waitress: Caucasian Middle aged Heavy set Extremely loud voice Rude ( nice/nasty) We wanted to share this feedback because the interaction negatively impacted our dining experience and left us feeling unwelcome. We hope this feedback is received in the spirit intended so that future guests feel comfortable asking questions and making requests without concern.
