The. Coffee is good; the smoking area IS AT THE FRONT DOOR. Talk about ambience, OMG. Disgusting... Employees smoke at the front door. Customers are greeted by an exit thru second hand smoke. Some people don't think. They must not need the business.

A cozy coffee shop in the beautiful town of Saint Michael's MD. From standard iced coffee and lattes, to hand-crafted pour overs and French presses, coffee lovers will surely find something they enjoy. Not to mention the hot chocolate was amazing! Highly recommend.

The coffee was delicious. So was the ice tea. And the super friendly service and the overall vibe means I will definitely be coming back. Great way to start the day!

First thing, the people that work here are super awesome. Even though we were just passing through we felt like we were part of the community. Very rarely have I walked into a place and felt like I was part of it already. The coffee was also extremely good. I had the Donnie Darko and must say it was one of the smoothest dark roasts I have ever had. You can honestly taste the quality that comes from being roasted on location. I will be back I hope as I am hopefully getting into sailing and hope that it will bring me back to this gem of a coffee house.

Came here with my girl friends while staying in the area and it quickly became our favorite place. Not only is the coffee the best I've ever had, the staff makes the experience. They are so efficient and friendly and you can tell they love what they are doing. We had a large group with a lot of orders and they made us feel so welcome. Could not recommend a place more, we are sad to be leaving!!

Holy Christ, I needed a cuppa (I'm not from England but they don't have a trademark on it) one morning. Saw a bright blue sign as I was on walkabout (I'm not from Austria* either) that said BLUE HERON COFFEE. Now, I don't mess with Herons, one bit me when I was a boychik (you get the idea), but I do get down with the JitterJuice™ Walked in to the comfy establishment and was immediately hit with THAT SMELL...Oooh, that smell, can't you smell that smell! (Shouts to Skynard #RIPRVZ) The eye candy behind the stick was a solid reassurance that I walked into the correct place. Spotting the roaster was my second clue, Col. Mustard. I ask the questions; he answered the questions** AS for the goods, I like worm dirt and the EC behind the counter hooked me up with his darkest roast, Donny Darko. Holy Christ 2: Electric Morning Brew! This. Is. Why. I. Drink. Coffee. Perfect cup of Joe. The flavors were amazing. the freshness was incredible. Tears are starting to form as I write this just remembering the first drop as it hit my lips. It was like watching the movie Rudy for the 1st time...no joke. TL:DR Great place to enjoy a superb cup of coffee. *Please notice my amazing joke about Austria/Australia ** Please notice my amazing usage of the semi-colon.

This was a cute coffee shop on the Eastern Shore. Why really stood out to me is the fact that the barista offered us samples before we decided on any coffee. I don't know if that is common, but I have never had that happen and it was a nice touch, in that I could find what I really wanted. The other cool thing is that everything here was locally sourced. I don't know if a lot of people are like me, but whenever I can find something local that I can't get somewhere else, that's an added 10 points. Should also mention that the coffee wasn't bad! (And the tea is home brewed as well if you are feeling that!)

Denied entry when I walked in my service dog, which is illegal. Staff was incredibly rude, additionally coffee was terrible.

Great little business- great coffee, lovely snacks and Ukraine enameled pins. We bought them all and fell in love with the owner.

Delicious iced and drip coffee. And super friendly barista. Pastries were good, but seemed like Costco purchases - not homemade.

On my first full day exploring St. Michaels, I had already knocked out an awesome dinner…read moreoverlooking the harbor and found myself with one remaining mission for the evening. Ice cream. Actually...excellent ice cream! My dinner waitress recommended Justine's Ice Cream Parlor without hesitation, so I wandered a few blocks through downtown and walked in around 5:30pm on a Friday evening during Fourth of July weekend. To my surprise, I had the entire place to myself, which was perfect because this place has SO MANY choices that I needed some uninterrupted decision-making time! Justine's has been serving homemade ice cream in St. Michaels since 1987, and it's easy to see why it's become such a local tradition. Beyond dozens of ice cream flavors, they offer their famous Wall of Shakes, sundaes, floats, dog-friendly treats and even the legendary Titanic Sundae Challenge, a 6 1/2-pound mountain of ice cream and toppings that was featured on Man v. Food. Watching someone attempt that challenge would almost be worth the trip all by itself! After staring into the cases for far longer than I'd like to admit, I settled on the Choco Taco ice cream. Then the friendly employee behind the counter casually suggested turning it into a sundae inspired by one of their Wall of Shakes creations, the Sinnamon Toast Shake. Say less, kind ice cream human. Please, make my dreams come true! For $7.50, I was handed what can only be described as a work of art. Choco Taco ice cream topped with crushed graham crackers, warm butterscotch, caramel sauce, whipped cream and a dusting of cinnamon. Folks...It was PHENOMENAL! Even more shocking? There wasn't a single peanut butter ingredient involved. As someone whose personality is approximately 63.8% peanut butter, that's saying something! The Choco Taco ice cream was rich and chocolaty with crunchy waffle cone pieces mixed throughout, while the butterscotch, caramel and cinnamon transformed it into something that tasted warm and comforting despite being ice cream. Every bite was a little different, and every bite was fantastic! There isn't dedicated parking right outside the shop, but I had no trouble finding free municipal parking just a short walk away. Inside seating is pretty limited, with just a few spots available, though there are a handful of tables outside along the sidewalk that would be perfect on a beautiful evening. Whether you're stopping in for a scoop, tackling the Titanic Challenge, working your way through the Wall of Shakes or just looking for a sweet ending to a day exploring St. Michaels, Justine's absolutely deserves a spot on your itinerary. My dinner waitress gave me an excellent recommendation. And, now, I'm passing it along to you!

The ice cream was awesome and definitely recommend it. I only got one scoop but they gave me a…read moregiant one
