Our Annapolis group of senior women chose Bean Rush Cafe this week for a pop up coffee gathering. Wednesday mornings are apparently one of their busiest times, but they handle it well. It was a drippy rainy day so the outdoor seating on the deck was not too attractive. There are tables inside along two walls. You order at the counter, pick up beverages, and if you are dining in, they give you a number and they bring food to your table. I had a yummy breakfast sandwich of egg white, tomato, spinach, & cheese. I was impressed with all the choices on their menu. They do a brisk carryout business too. Cute cafe in Annapolis. Has indoor and outdoor seating. Little walk from the Navy Stadium. Service was friendly. I ordered a breakfast sandwich (egg, cheese, turkey sausage, on wheat toast). They have a variety of options for the breakfast sandwich (different types of bagels, croissants, toast). Simple but good. They also had pastries that looked delicious. To drink I ordered the creme brûlée iced latte. It was good. Decent price for everything. Definitely recommend. read more

Loved this place! There was 3 of us, all got different things before a re-enlistment, and every single one, delicious!! The 2 I was with are soooo picky when it comes to coffee too because they "don't like coffee". I know I know. Make it make sense lol. But alas! They did enjoy it! Fast Fresh and z friendly service. Yes, it is possible to still get a sandwich under eight dollars. It's healthy and delicious. I haven't been to this place in a very long time but I've always wanted to come here to grab something to eat last time I was here I had a coffee and it was delicious so this time I thought I would try a sandwich. Top of the menu was the cranberry chicken almond. I love cranberry when it's Thanksgiving I like chicken as a mar and almonds or a super food. The café is settled in a cute little suburb of Annapolis. You'll see kids with lemonade, stands antique shops, on, the little city streets adjacent. Once you walk inside you're greeted by smiles although you can't see them behind the masks and a menu that's easy to read. People are sitting in there with their laptops and coffee or chatting with friends. I would be too, if I lived in Annapolis. read more

One of our favorite spots in West Annapolis!! Their matcha is my favorite. Just tried their pistachio matcha (seasonal) and I really enjoyed it!! They have a simple breakfast and lunch menu. Cute place in Annapolis. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. They have some breakfast items and small eats. I ordered my usual latte and it took a very long time to get despite not being very busy. When I did receive it, it was way too hot. The flavor was there obscured and bitter. The milk texture seemed ok, but there was no latte art produced which is not easy to do (I mean no white at all). Overall, perhaps it was the day or the barista but my experience was not great. read more

Not a huge coffee fan but Bean Rush has so many options for everyone!! They have gluten free bakery girl products which are amazing always! But I have to rave about the Apple Cider it is fantastic!! We are always in Annapolis with our kids to go to the children's Chesapeake museum and then we look for a lunch spot. We went to Bean Rush Cafe last weekend and it was great! The place was packed so we sat outside, but it was fine! I got the chicken salad and my husband got the turkey club. Both so good! My kids shared the pbj kids lunchbox, which was perfect for them! Loved their breakfast sandwiches and the ability to order online and pick up. Coffee and food were both delicious, no bitterness in the espresso which is huge for me. Only thing that bothered me was when you order online, pick up inside, you assume they know your order and if it's paid for. I was asked several questions about my order...if it was paid for? How many sandwiches I got? What my coffee order was? And it wasn't asked as if she were checking my order. It was asked as if she wasn't sure. So that was irritating. Hands down my favorite coffee shop, hangout spot, study place, build community environment. This is home away from home. The sweet smell of coffee and the hum of chatter creates a more than welcoming atmosphere. I have been coming here for over a year and moving closer to this location I come almost everyday. Went here today for a quick breakfast. Everyone working in here had a smile on their face and was truly happy to see folks coming into their establishment. At first I thought they were all hopped up on caffeine. Not the case, they were truly happy to be at work. I ordered a bagel with cheese and egg, and a latte to wash it down. They were excellent. I had an amazing Lavendar Chai Latte! I am obsessed with chai lattes and this was delicious. It's sweeter than a regular chai latte. I also got a yummy blondie. They have a great selection of various drinks, desserts, and snacks. Really nice place to grab and go or sit and relax. read more

Bean Rush is a fantastic coffee house experience. Homemade foods and locally roasted coffee make it a special treat as well as just a nice place for your morning breakfast and coffee to go. Staff is all very friendly and passionate about being part of the community. My special treat to myself is a simple whole milk cappuccino in a mug with the time to sit and enjoy. A quaint little spot tucked away in a small shopping strip off Generals Highway. If you are tired of the hustle and bustle of the big chain coffee shops then this is a place to go. Friendly service and a small chain that has local roots here in Anne Arundel County. It can get a little crowded in the morning and during lunch but still service is quick. This is very surprising since all food is cooked to order but there are grab and go options. On this particular day I went with a cappuccino and a chicken salad sandwich. The chicken salad was very good as it came mixed with cranberries and almonds on a toasted wheat bun. Very good, not too much mayonnaise and not too sweet with the added cranberry. read more

I love this place! It's bigger than the Crownsville location, has fast wifi and the staff are very friendly. I love their tea selection and that you can smell them before deciding. The oatmeal with all the toppings (brown sugar, cranberries, raisins & walnuts) was delicious. I also got the vegetarian panini which was yummy. I love the Bean Rush. They redid the interior and it looks cozy and comfortable. Some of the tables are meant for sharing with strangers while others are intimate. They have inside and outside tables and there is a wheel chair accessible ramp. The menu is not huge, but a perfect size. Enough to give you some options, but not large enough to confuse you more. Sandwich options are rather healthy and they serve both breakfast and lunch choices. I have enjoyed the lunch selection better thus far, but maybe it's because the Turkey was great! The coffee beverages are also delicious. I found the Almond Joy too flavorful for me but my friend absolutely loves it. As for the Milky Way coffee.. hot or cold it's delicious, sweet, and just what I need on some days. The place is clean and open. They also serve home made popsicles and baked goods wrapped and ready to go. The cookies were ok too, I think they were homemade, and they also have a selection of muffins. I love going here, the service is pretty good and they also have a rewards system (10 drinks gets on you back). read more

Penny wise, pound foolish. This place epitomizes this saying. Instead of getting a drip coffee and pouring out the top portion to out cream and sugar in I generally get a cup the next size up to allow for the extra room instead. I did that here and went about my business while I waited for a cappuccino. As I putting the cream and sugar in and finishing the coffee up the man making the cappuccino walks around the counter to the sugar and cream station and states that this coffee I have is actually an xlarge(The size up cup I had). I was taken aback at first. In the end you pay for the coffee you consume but this guy has other ideas. The coffee tasted good which was a shame since I will never step foot here again. The cappuccino work needs a lot of work though. Learn the difference between a cappuccino and a latte. There is a big difference between them. Also don't put cinnamon and/or nutmeg on top without asking. Those are two money saving areas for you going forward to match your existing charming ways. After reading the reviews I was looking forward to a good espresso from this location. I was very disappointed in what I received. Let me say I work in the coffee industry and can be very picky as to what I like. First off the espresso station was dirty. Grinds all over the counter and tamper. See attached pic. The person that made my espresso didn't even wipe out the portafilter before making my espresso. I feel it's a bad sign when the barista starts the shot and walks away from the machine. How can you see how it's pouring if you're not there to watch it? The espresso had a burnt taste that lacked complexity. It might have tasted better with milk, but from what I saw I didn't think they could steam it correctly. Needless to say I will not be returning here in the future. read more
