    Cheese on a toast

I checked this place as we were going to Annapolis that day. The lady who took our order was very nice and friendly. We ordered Rustic Vegan and Vegetarian combo, both were oven baked potato with toppings. Both my husband loved the flavor. She gave the kids shredded chicken and cheese on toast free of charge. We will love to visit again is we are in Annapolis.

So somebody said I should check this all potato spot out right. Hmmm potatoes with all kind of toppings got my attention!! Nonetheless...I geared up, headed to Annapolis, & WENT IT!! . Items Reviewed: *All Potato's come with butter, & seasoning at the bottom, lettuce cucumbers, bell peppers, & more* Their Chicken Bacon, and Cheddar (with butter, greens, & roasted onions $12.95). A mildly spicy meaty chili, melted cheddar, with the burst of that roasted onion!! WINNING!! Their N.C. Pulled Pork and Cheddar (with greens, roasted onions, mixed greens, & slaw $13.95). STAMP!! Cuban. Flavorful chicken. Crisp skinned potato. Lots of flavor.

This unassuming easy to miss business with poor signage is definitely worth a visit! A lot cozier inside than you'd think from the outside. Potato's are crisp skinned and very flavorful. Hot sauce selection available. We got the Cuban and the Steak & Cheddar. Enjoyed both. Got a latte on a whim and was handed a careful made excellent coffee. Doesn't need sugar or flavoring. Very good as served. Two tables outside and four tables inside. Quick service.

If I could eat french fries every day and not get fat and not have high cholesterol, I would. Lol. As an adult I try to make healthier choices, so a delicious baked potato is a great substitute and it satisfies my french fry craving. This is such a quaint little place in downtown Annapolis. It was easy to find and luckily I was able to find street parking nearby. Not sure what I would've done if it was a busier time of day. Also, the staff was really friendly. I was a first timer and they were really patient as I asked questions about the different offerings they had. At any rate I tried the vegetarian combo and there was all kinds of yummy goodness in my potato. There was black beans, corn, lime, mango, peppers, garlic butter, roasted onions, artichokes, and there was even a salad on the side but on top of the potato if that makes sense. The dish was so colorful and there was all types of textures and flavors going on. It was savory, with a touch of sweet, crunchy, soft, warm, with a little cool from the salad. I absolutely love the idea of a baked potato bar, which essentially is what this restaurant is. I can't wait to come back and try some of the options. I only have one complaint. The bottom of the potato wasn't as soft as I would've liked so I didn't eat the skin. Typically I like to eat the whole entire baked potato because they say there's nutrients and stuff in the skin. On a completely unrelated note, they also sell slices of Dangerously Delicious Pies. They just had one flavor in store that day. I didn't realize there was a Dangerously Delicious Pies in Annapolis. That's news to me. Glad I know.

    Caribbean loaded.

As a frequent Annapolis eater, I am not sure why this place slipped through my hands. 5. out. of. 5. Easy - price aside! Even though it is just your average $2 potato, it is filled with so much greatness. Whatever you're looking for, it will be available. Pictured is the loaded Caribbean potato - filled with jerk chicken. It is yummy, the customer service was great (I placed my order via phone call), and - it was $25 for 2 orders and 2 drinks. Price aside, it was a good experience. If you have some extra money - go! Sidebar - I wonder if there is soup available? That'd be a great add to the business if I didn't already overlook it.

At Preserve, consistency is not the point, evolution is. Each visit feels slightly different,…read moreshaped by a menu that shifts with the seasons and refuses to coast on familiarity. That restlessness works in its favor. The space is compact, almost disarming at first. Then it settles around you. There is a quiet intimacy to the room, the kind that feels less designed and more lived in. It leans closer to a welcoming home than a polished dining room, without losing its sense of purpose. The food carries that same balance. Thoughtful, seasonal, and just unpredictable enough to keep you paying attention. Cocktails follow suit, measured and deliberate, never an afterthought. For Annapolis, where good options are not exactly rare, this place still manages to separate itself. Trust me, it's worth it. They've got a small bar area that seats about 4-6 people, which is where I sat, and honestly that's the move if you like a lively vibe. Now let's talk about the pizza--amazing. Fresh, flavorful, and one of those meals where you catch yourself still thinking about it later. I enjoyed every bite and could've easily gone for another round. Overall, this place delivers: good energy, good food, good people. Definitely a spot you want to keep in your rotation.

It's supposed to be a wine bar, I guess, and the wine is their main focus, though they are also apparently well known for their pizzas. Despite it being busy, we were seated pretty quickly in the back area, and were served quickly. Our waitress was great, and offered a lot of good drink and food suggestions. I love the way the wine is broken down. They've got three categories, which are snarky grouping by price. I am drawing a blank on the names of the categories, and they're not on the website, so .... they were something like, "Wallet Friendly Wines," "I can splurge a little," and "Money is no object to wine!" Theirs were probably better and more creative -- dock me one star as a reviewer for not remembering. :) The wines were good. I tried two different ones, including an unusual "orange" wine, which is a white wine left to contact the skins. It was a little fruitier than I usually like in a white wine, but it was good still. The food for me was where it fell down. I ordered a charcuterie plate, which was honestly kind of skimpy for the price. I also got a burrata, which is served with "harissa roasted carrots." The harissa was incredibly spice forward, and... burrata is a delicious, but delicate cheese. The carrots and harissa basically contaminated it and overpowered it. They might as well have dipped it in coriander and cumin. That's fine if you want to eat coriander and cumin, but not if you want burrata. My pizza was the biggest let down. It's a "rustic" style pizza, but it frankly translates to "poorly made." It's a good size, roughly oval pizza, with very thin, crispy crust. Like a giant cracker. It's then cut into 16 pieces (give or take, don't quote me). Some of those pieces had /nothing/ on them. Like, just crust. No cheese. No sauce. No toppings. Others had just sauce. I'm not a big fan of pizza, but when I eat it, I expect every piece to have sauce, cheese, and toppings on it... if I wanted to eat just crust, I'd just ask for a pile of aperitif crackers. Great atmosphere, good drinks, fair price, but ... terrible food. If I lived nearby, I'd stop by for a drink now and again, but I wouldn't eat there.

However, the chicken was breast meat and sliced thin, which made it come across as dry. I did tell the server I liked it and didn't go into much detail since she seemed very busy and I didn't want to add stress in the moment. Still, it's not something I would personally order again. The waffle situation was more frustrating. I initially received cornmeal waffles, but I had told my server ahead of time that I strongly avoid cornmeal. She said she would substitute them, so I was surprised when the plate came out with the original cornmeal waffles. I didn't realize at first and ended up taking a bite before noticing. I let the server know and she had the kitchen remake it. The replacement Belgian waffles were overcooked and dense, so they didn't really improve the experience. The butter though was genuinely delicious, just very rich and more of a holiday-style flavor than something I'd personally crave in warmer weather. I also had a basic cup of coffee made with Rise Up Coffee Roasters, which was $4.50. That felt overpriced for what it was. I could have walked right across the street and had a specialty coffee from the source for very little extra cost, which honestly would have been the better choice. Overall, the experience had some clear issues, especially with the waffle mix-up and consistency, but it wasn't completely disappointing. I just don't think I would personally order the same meal again.
