My only complaint is they didn't heat up our pastries and by time I sat down I don't want to get back in the long line to ask them to heat them up. I don't drink coffee, so I can't speak to that side much, but I've had food brought home from here before by my wife and really enjoyed the matcha tea smoothie in the past. Overall, I'd definitely return. I think Rise Up does a good job in general, and I've enjoyed their Severna Park and downtown Annapolis locations before. Today I just grabbed a hot matcha latte with pistachio syrup made with almond milk. It wasn't too sweet at all, right temperature. It's one of those "abandoned warehouses turned coffee shop" with a traditional-raised panel replaced with glass as windows. There's "Coffee should be something special" painted boldly on the exterior and some trees to provide shade for outdoor seating. The inside was nice and cool, and the barista was helpful when making recommendations for the pour over. POUR OVER - MKT PRICE I got the Colombia Los Pinos (Washed) which has grapefruit, dark chocolate, and creamy tasting notes for 6.75. I really enjoyed it, as it was fruity and not overly citrusy with a bit of bitterness. Each pour over comes with about 12 oz in a glass carafe that you can poor into a ceramic cup to enjoy. I loved this pour over and would recommend drinking it in the cafe to avoid getting that unpleasant waxy taste from the paper cups. Overall, great coffee shop to spend time in with good coffee. Ceremony is definitely one of my favorite roasters in the DMV, and I try to make time to stop by whenever I'm near one.
