Chili con queso - very spicy! Good for some perhaps, but not for all. Buyer beware!
Lucy C.

Taquitos were good, fajitas were good too. The chili con queso was very spicy, too hot to eat. Customer service was less than ideal when we called to let them know about the chili con queso. Hopefully they'll actually do something about it, but the manager even said he didn't like the chili con queso. So my recommendation would be to maybe avoid that menu item.

Breakfast chimi was so good!

Local watering hole with addicting taquitos, filling fajitas and happy hour worth leaving the house.

We really enjoyed our dinner on April 28, 2026, after a brisk walk from our downtown hotel. The…read morewait when we checked in was considerable, unless we wanted to eat "at the counter". It turned out to be the highlight, sitting at the "Chef's Counter" by the pizza station on the covered porch. (We are foodies, and always appreciate an opportunity to sit at a chef's table.) It was a fun spot with a great view of the action and personal interaction with two very hard working pizza chefs. We shared the beet salad, which was a nice start, followed by the skirt steak, the fungi pizza, and grilled asparagus. Everything was flavorful and well prepared. We also enjoyed a very nice Tempranillo with dinner. Our server, Stephanie, was excellent--friendly, attentive, and a pleasure to have taking care of us. Overall, a very enjoyable meal in a great setting. We'd be happy to return.

My wife and I went in tonight for the first time with high expectations based on the glowing…read morereviews. I left honestly stunned at how bad the food was. To be fair, the service was excellent. Our server was attentive and friendly, and that's the only reason this isn't one star. We ordered the barbecue chicken pizza and the pepperoni pizza, and they were easily the worst pizzas I've ever had. The crust tasted like cardboard: dry, crunchy with no snap or chew, and completely flavorless. The pepperoni tasted like nothing. There was barely any sauce, and both pies were flat and bland from edge to center. I have never left a restaurant without finishing my meal, and tonight I didn't even try. The potato pancake appetizer was no better. It had a sour aftertaste that made us push it aside after a bite or two. I genuinely don't understand the hype. The staff deserve a kitchen that matches their effort, but based on this visit I can't recommend the food, and I won't be back for pizza.

Walking around downtown Annapolis, we overheard some people outside the restaurant raving about how…read moregood the food was, especially the crispy kale, so we decided to give it a try. We were immediately greeted and taken care of, which was a great start! The crispy kale was HANDS DOWN one of the best kale dishes I've ever had!!! It was so good that I'd honestly come back just for that alone. I also ordered the crab bucatini, which was delicious! The pasta was perfectly al dente, and I loved all the different textures and flavors in the dish. I'll admit, looking at the menu, I initially thought this might be one of those overly hippie places that tries a little too hard, with a limited selection that doesn't necessarily look all that appetizing on paper. But wow, was I wrong! Don't let the menu fool you. This place is absolutely worth trying, and the crispy kale alone is reason enough to stop by! They also make their own soda! My one gripe is the "labor of love" tax. I'm not the biggest fan of these extra fees, especially when you're already paying for your meal and tipping. That said, the food was genuinely delicious, and I'd still recommend giving this place a try! Plenty of seating inside, outside, and at the bar!

The Heirloom Tomatoes were really good. The griddled cornbread served with them was moist, though I would have liked it a little sweeter. The Crab Bucatini was probably the standout--absolutely delicious, with the pasta cooked well. The Ribeye was also good and cooked exactly as requested, although I wasn't a big fan of the accompanying sauce. We finished with the Coconut Panna Cotta. We also tried the Calm for a Cure charity cocktails. They were good, but a little on the sweet side for my taste. The service couldn't have been better. Our server checked on us without hovering, kept our water glasses filled, and brought the food out quickly. She really helped make the evening enjoyable. The restaurant was attractive and clean, including the bathroom. It was relatively quiet, with just a little noise from the bar, and comfortable for conversation. Dinner was a little pricey, but I felt it was worth it. One thing to be aware of: our bill included a 4% "Labor of Love" service charge for employee benefits, separate from gratuity. Overall, a very good choice for date night in Annapolis.

This place is above and beyond what you'd expect to find in a tiny Eastern Shore town, at very…read morereasonable prices: as anyone who eats out frequently knows, costs are up everywhere, but the quality and amount of the food here is exceptional for the price. The atmosphere, a converted house, is charming and intimate but not crowded. Service was prompt and friendly but professional. We started with drinks, a Bloody Mary ($12) and a virgin coffee cocktail ($6.) We then ordered Crème Brûlée French toast for the 4-year-old, which ended up being a shared appetizer since it was way too decadent for one person: slices of pan-toasted croissant, nutmeg-scented custard sauce, real whipped cream and fresh berries ($18.) My husband enjoyed the steak and eggs, a 6-oz tenderloin with two eggs, potatoes and toast for $24. I got the Caesar salad with salmon, which I'm going to give you a few details about because it was the best Caesar salad I've ever had, and I order a lot of them! Caroline's has basically fixed all the common problems: local, fresh mixed greens in lieu of ribby Romaine, sharp house dressing on the side rather than too much of that mayonnaise-based nonsense, croutons browned in butter instead of the stale boxed kind, and added interest from thinly sliced avocado and perfectly ripe diced tomato. The salmon portion was generous (bringing the overall price to $24; again, very reasonable right now) and cooked perfectly, crispy on the outside and meltingly tender within. There's really nothing that needs improvement here. Just please visit and support this uniquely delicious local business! We will definitely be back next time we're in town.

We got the Denton double (smash burgers) and crab cake with fries. My husband liked the double smash burger, said it was cooked perfectly and I have to say it was quite large, came with fries that were tasty as well! My crabcake was also tasty with lump crab meat and the fries were good. We will definitely be back, would love to sit in for brunch one day soon!
