Hispanic popped up on places I should try and I am glad it did. I was pleased to see that this restaurant was practicing social distance while also providing a great customer service. The waitress was very patient with me as I looked through the menu and even provided a few recommendations. I ended up ordering the tacos and the seafood soup and both were amazing. I'm not quite sure by the picture if you can really get a good look at how bug that soup bowl was but let's just say the tacos were put in a to-go box as there was no way I could finish all the food. The restaurant offers daily drink and food specials. There is indoor dining and they are also allowing space in between tables. I would drive a good 30 min for this restaurant which has been rare in my recent dining experiences so I'm going to go out on a limb and say the soup was one of the best dishes I've had in 2021. If you are in the area and open for a new experience I would strongly recommend giving Hispa a try

When you walk into a place and 99% of the patrons are Hispanic, you know you are in the right place for true Latin flavor! Salsa is always the indicator of how good the food is going to be... holy yes please! So much flavor! I ordered one each of the pupusas, cheese, bean, and pork with corn flour served with pickled veggies... Um si, si, si! These were so amazing! I couldn't stop eating them, but finally had to tap out! At $7 for the plate, you cannot get a better deal! The enchiladas de mole were on point! The spicy sauce was perfect! If you are feeling a bit more adventurous, you can try their El Salvadoran soup, which features, heart and tripe. The menu is small, but that's what makes each dish that much better! Fresh ingredients and fabulous food! This is definitely a place to check out, go out of your way, drive 100 miles, just get there as fast as possible! Definitely in the top 5 for Latin food! :-)

What a great food. Front of business looks a bit deceiving but the inside is welcoming and clean and the food is amazing. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a delicious typical Latin cuisine

We have seen this place for 3 years as we go to the laundry place next door. Not sure what made us go in this time but all I can say is we should have gone in 3 years ago so we could have been enjoying the food all this time!! We had a chicken quesadilla and a steak quesadilla both STUFFED with meat and cheese!! The skinny margaritas were hand squeezed orange and lime!! The salsa is homemade deliciousness!! Chips were served warm!! Service was spot on! Glad we finally went in. Now we will be regulars.

Best customer service I've ever received at a restaurant, period. The owner is accommodating and cordial. The chefs come out to the tables and introduce themselves. They all go the extra mile and then some. The sopa de res is delicious. I come every week for a bowl. The chicken milanese (while I thought it was a traditional italian dish) is the best I've ever had. Prices are fair and a great family atmosphere. The carniceria next door has excellent produce as well.

This place came highly recommended! I was craving Pupusas, so decided I'd take the drive to Edgewater. I placed imy order for carry out. The location itself is cozy. They have a nice size bar with happy hour specials listed on a chalk board wall. The waitress was very attentive and gave me a menu to look through, took my order and got my food to me promptly. I ordered pupusas de frijol con queso ( bean and cheese) . Sooooo good! Will definitely be back.

All around pretty decent. Chips were light and salsa was excellent. Ceviche was awesome . Torta sandwich was excellent as was the carne asada. Mojito wasnt bad, just seemed like it was made with a touch of sour mix. Service was slow, But friendly. We will be back. Oh, coke is bottled mexican coke. Made with real sugar, but is a preference thing.

    Chicharrones fatty pieces

Not my fav restaurant, reviews hyped it up too much. Chicharrone was subpar and served with a lot of fried fat that was inedible. The chimichanga was smothered in cheese. The blend of it all was bland. Could have been better. The menu was a little large as well. I should have known when their was italian food on the menu that they did not specialize in Hispanic food.

We started with chips and salsa, and they were excellent. The salsa wasn't overly spicy, just full of great flavor, and the chips were fresh and crisp--definitely a strong start to the meal. My wife ordered the chicken chimichanga. It was quite different from what we usually get at the Mexican spots we frequent--it was one large chimichanga served with a small salad, whereas we're used to getting two smaller ones with rice and beans, which we usually share. Still, it was tasty and satisfying in its own unique way. I ordered the Chicharrón en Salsa Verde--crispy pork and onions in a green tomato sauce, topped with cilantro and served with rice and warm flour tortillas. It had great flavor and the pork had a nice texture--crisp but not dry. Our friends ordered a variety of dishes, including: Chile en Nogada - a stuffed poblano pepper with seasoned ground beef, covered in a chilled almond and walnut nogada sauce, topped with pomegranate seeds and served with rice. It was rich, colorful, and very flavorful. A beautiful dish with red and yellow sauces and a white cream swirl--unfortunately I can't recall the name, but it was as good as it looked. Six tacos with assorted meats--each one was fantastic. The flavors were bold and fresh. To drink, most of us had margaritas, and you could tell they use fresh ingredients--these were excellent and not overly sweet like some places serve them. Service was top-notch from start to finish--friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The only disappointing part of the evening came at the end, when we learned that the restaurant will be closing in about a month. The building is being torn down, possibly for high-rise condos. The staff doesn't know if or where they'll reopen. It's a real shame, especially in an area that's already struggling with traffic and congestion. More homes, fewer gems like this. I just wish we had discovered Sin Fronteras Café sooner. Hopefully they find a new home nearby, and we'll definitely try to come back before they close for good.

I eat a lot of Mexican food and this is easily the best I've tasted for Miles around. Birria enchiladas were off the hook. And the salsa there is fantastic! Just a couple more notes about pricing though, because I think it's worthwhile to mention: there is no lunch menu. Most Mexican joints have a lunch menu, with smaller sizes and lower prices. not here. The portions are very generous so be prepared to get a dinner menu and to-go box. And I ordered a draft Mexican beer and got a 24 ounce glass for nine dollars. I think this is another attempt to raise your check. Most places will give you the option of a 16 or 24 ounce. Anyway...we ordered drinks. Mine was good, but my husband said his margarita had no flavor. The waitress asked us about appetizers and if we wanted our guacamole regular or spicy. Of course I chose spicy. My husband got the fajita burrito and I got the trio fajitas. When his burrito arrived I almost laughed out loud. It was half the size of every burrito I've ever seen! Mine dinner had 3 shrimp, a little bit of steak, and a bit more chicken. What it lacked in flavor and meat, it made up for in an over abundance of uncooked onions! Not what I was expecting. It was so disappointing. Speaking of disappointment, the bill.... For over $110 dollars we got two drinks, an appetizer, and two dinners. I'm fine with a $100 meal just not this meal. The guac was $16.50 with an added $1.50 for "spicy"! The 1/2 sized burrito and 3 shrimp were also super overpriced. Overall, we saw the potential in this place but it was disappointing. The waitress was wonderful and kept the water full. Sadly, we won't be back since our local places are so much better.
