Today was my wife & my 40th Wedding Anniversary. We like low-key, so we just went out to a restaurant we heard from friends from church had good Mexican food. We went on the early side, about 2:30, and were seated immediately. Our waitress was a lass named Ariana, who couldn't have been nicer. We ordered drinks, and they came quickly. We then ordered food, and had Ariana snap a couple pics for prosperity. The food we heard was good. My wife got the surf & turf tacos. It came on a massive platter with three Carne Asada and Shrimp tacos, loaded with meat, and some veggies. I Ordered the Plato Oaxaca. That was Carne Asada, Grilled Shrimp, Chorizo, and Broiled Catfish filet, and some veggies too (both dished had grilled whole small onions on the platter, and grilled green peppers, and a grilled jalapeno pepper. The Plato Oaxaca also came with separate tortillas, and a platter of beans, rice, pico de gallo, and guacamole freshly made (which was some of the best I Have tasted any where) . Ariana was very attentive thru the whole meal, with out being in any way intrusive. She also surprised us with a complimentary dessert of a caramel filled cinnamon cake and fresh whipped cream on a long skinny tray that had Happy Anniversary spelled out on it in chocolate sauce. It really made the date something to remember. The whole staff was very nice. We will be back, as my wife declared this her new favorite Mexican Restaurant. read more

The surf and turf tacos were absolutely flavorful and delicious. The dish came with three tacos filled with tender pieces of steak and three jumbo grilled shrimp, with pico de gallo and lime wedges served on the side--everything complemented each other really well. The complimentary chips and salsa were just okay. The chips could have used a bit more seasoning and salt to enhance the flavor. The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere. There was music playing, and the bar appeared to be fully stocked, which added to the overall vibe. My server was very friendly and did a great job offering recommendations. Our food came out fresh, hot, and quickly. To be fair, we visited around 2:30 PM on a Friday, so it wasn't very busy. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place. read more

The restaurant is in a strip hostess welcomed me very nicely and seated me right away on a Friday afternoon. There was nothing fancy about the decorum but it clean. I was given the complimentary chips and salsa. The chips were warm and fresh. I had a margarita which was tasty but not strong. I had the mango habanero wings as an appetizer. The flavor was delicious, but they could have been a touch crispier. The show stopper was the surf and turf tacos. The beef was seasoned to perfection and not super tough and the shrimp were juicy. Everything was hot and fresh. The service was prompt and the staff was polite. So happy I decided to come here after my friend recommended it to me a few months ago. A million stars!! We've been here a lot since we moved to the area. Great food, people, and atmosphere. Our recent visit was on my birthday and our waitress, Bessy, was the sweetest! I got a cute dessert and they all sung Happy Birthday. My fajitas were amazing and my husband loved his burrito. They have game day specials in addition to a ton of other specials. Every meal we have had has been well prepared. This is our new go to for Mexican food. There is no better place! read more

I can't say enough good things about Señor Chile in Edgewater! From the moment we sat down, the service was warm and welcoming--our server immediately brought out fresh, crispy corn chips and some of the tastiest salsa I've had in a long time. Drinks arrived quickly, and the staff were attentive without ever being overbearing. The food was absolutely outstanding. The fajitas were next level--the sauce had incredible depth of flavor, the beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the portions were so generous you definitely won't leave hungry. Even the black beans had this rich, umami flavor that made them memorable on their own. I have visited two other locations of this family-run series of restaurants: in Annapolis on Forest Drive & in Severna Park. This one has more seating & a more pleasant environment than either of the others. We arrived early, around 5:00 pm on a Tuesday. I ordered a house margarita, which was yummy. The chips & salsa were good. I ordered the Los Amigos platter, which is a combo & it is a LOT of food. My husband ordered Sopa Marisco and a platter of three tacos. His only issue with the soup was that he had to peel the shrimp & take the head off (actually, I did it), & the soup came out at the same time as his meal. I would order my entree again. He said he would try something else next time. It was a huge amount of food and the service was pleasant and quick. read more

This might be my lowest rating i've given a place, and I've been doing this for years. Ordered a two things for delivery and was truly disappointed. The food came on time, but was Suuuper greasy and inedible! And the consommé for the birria had peas, carrots, and green beans in it. Never have i ever had birria like this and it's one of my favorite dishes. It almost seemed like they ran out, and replaced it with a can of beef stew...because the rest of the pictures dont look like that on here. We literally laughed to keep from crying, but it truly was disappointing. The ONLY reason i gave two stars was because our delivery driver was super sweet. read more

I didn't appreciate the service I received by our waiter. I was there with two friends, have never been to Senor Chili before, I ordered street tacos steak and they came with corn relish and onions and 2 cucumbers pcs on the side, 2 steak tacos were dry, I asked if there was any kind of sauce I can put on it and he looked at me strange and said "you ordered street tacos." And like I should've known that how street tacos come, I didn't know I was supposed to chose what to add to them, I thought they came with stuff... but he didn't ask me either! I said well can I please have some sour cream or something to add to it, they are dry and right away he goes on his little iPad, adds sour cream to the tab so to make sure I get charges for that little tiny dab of sour cream! No, I won't be going back there because he was rude he was not helpful and he needs training how to treat customers....and we were older women and that's how we sometimes get treated! My partner and I are huge Mexican food fans - she grew up and SoCal and I grew up in Colorado. Needless to say it is a big part of who we are. We stopped at Senor Chiles around 2:30 pm and I expected it to be your average Mexican spot. We have been on a quest for some seriously good Mexican food, and frankly, the east coast hasn't been treating us kindly. This place, it's the exception. Starting with the salsa and chips. Absolute perfection. Light, crisp, perfectly salted and WARM chips, served up with a salsa that was smokey, spicy, but had a hint of sweetness to finish it up that is a total crowd pleaser. The guacamole had the perfect balance of salt, acid, texture, and spice. Really couldn't imagine a better guac. Our entries just continued to impress us. Finally enchiladas that weren't soaked in queso, but rather an exceptional verde sauce. My partner (the meat lover) got birria and it was by her remarks incredible - just look at that consume! The drinks were some of the best we have had. A traditional michelada and a spicy margarita ($7 on happy hour) complimented all the wonderful flavors of our meal. Service was quick, attentive, just what it needed to be. The place looks like your classic Mexican restaurant, but again, it's just what it should be. This is the only Mexican spot we have found that I would go out of my way to visit again. KUDOS. You have got to try this! read more

The service is always friendly and welcoming! The drinks here never miss--they have so many flavors, and the bartender makes sure you get your money's worth every time. The food is also really good, so don't hesitate to order an appetizer or entrée to soak up the liquor. Enjoy! This is definitely a spot to visit, but keep in mind you'll likely leave smelling like any skillet that passes by. We only come here when we're headed straight home afterward. read more

My new favorite spot! If you like Tequila and Mezcal you will LOVE this place. They have so many Tequila and Mezcal options and if you don't see one you like, they encourage you to request it! The service was great, quick, pleasant and attentive. Our bartender was Mariela and she had the perfect balance of attentiveness and giving us space to enjoy our food and drinks. All the staff work really hard and still seem to have a little fun. The one downfall was the lack of gloves when plating in the kitchen. The drinks were really good. The El Senor has a 3 drink limit because it's so strong. I was surprised because it actually tasted good.The Tropical Pina was also refreshing, brought back memories of our trip to Mexico. The drinks are big and are around the same price as average sized drinks in the DMV ($12-$15). They have mixed shots which I thought was a unique add to the menu. We got the Mexican Kiss Shot which was a light weight shot which is just my speed lol. Their drink menu has so many option there is something for everyone. I had the Birria Tacos and refied bean. I have tried the Birria Tacos from 2 other places and I actually came to the conclusion that I don't like Birria Tacos. But Senor's Chile changed my mind. They were so good, super greasy but good. They were well seasoned and the meat was tender. The only down side is there were some clumps of fat in the taco which was a slight turn off. For dessert I got Chirros which I wouldn't get again...Before the meal they serve chips and salsa. The salsa was so fresh and tasty. Their guac was okay, I've had better, but since its made to order I'm sure it taste slightly different depending on who makes it, etc. It was $18 and the serving size was huge. They make the guac at this little cart at the front of the restaurant, which was cute touch. So happy we found this place! We will definitely become regular patrons. Ate here with some friends on a business trip. This place came highly recommended by locals. It was hard to find as it was tucked up inside a small strip mall. When we got inside there was music playing and it was busy. We were seated immediately and were promptly served with chips and salsa. Drinks came quickly after. The salsa is homemade and one of the best I've ever had. I ordered the house margarita. It was tasty and packed a punch. The service was incredible considering the amount of business this place gets. Prompt and friendly. I ordered the shrimp tacos. They did not disappoint. My only regret is that I live in Dallas and wasn't able to come back and try some of the other dishes I saw being delivered to tables. I reminded myself to take a picture of the food before I started eating, but that part of my brain shut off when I saw the plate before me. This is place is tight, and there is a lot going on. However, it wasn't chaotic. Highly recommend for a fun night out with good drinks and great food. read more

Our server, Cesar, checked in regularly, but his demeanor made the experience uncomfortable. Behind his polite smile were snippy, short responses that gave the impression he didn't want to be bothered. When we gave a simple "thumbs down" rating at checkout, he became defensive and unprofessional, which completely ruined what should have been a relaxing, end-of-week dinner. If you choose to dine here, the food may satisfy, but steer clear of Cesar--his attitude can easily turn a good meal into a regrettable experience. read more

This place is delicious! The style of the place is bright and is decorated perfectly! They bring chips and salsa to the table, and we ordered the queso dip to go with. I had the taquitos (appetizer) as my meal and still had enough to take home. Another person at our table had the fajitas with beef, chicken and shrimp; they also loved their meal. The other person at our table had a bit of an issue with their order. He asked for tacos with just the meat, lettuce and cheese, but ended up with the meat, tomatoes and onions. When he told the waiter about the issue the response he got was "well that's the way it comes". So, even though the food was really good, the wait staff could use a little work. read more

We are recurring customers and was there on July 21, 2025 immediately noticing the entire staff was different or replaced. The bartender never offered a check, but asked if I was ready to pay and made the transaction with my card. (My fault to allow that). After leaving i noticed my charges seemed much higher than expected. I called and questioned their prices and she immediately new she screwed me. She offered a specific refund to make this right, and once my pending transactions were settled she didn't do what she promised. This new staff proved they have no integrity and cannot be trusted to be honest. I will return with lessons learned to make them print an itemized bill for review before paying, and ALL future visits the TIP amount will be $00.00 in return for their lack of honesty and integrity. My hubby & I had a yummy brunch today at Senor's Chile. He got our tried & true favorite, their Birria-Dilla. They take a quesadilla & stuff it with their succulent slow roasted barbacoa, melty cheese, zesty onion, & bright cilantro and dip it in barbacoa juices and serve it with consommé (which is yummy on its own), sour cream, & guacamole. This dish makes my mouth water. I decided to try one of the breakfast options, the Chilaquiles. It was incredible! They take their corn tortillas & fry them first and then sauté them with onions. Then they top it with tangy & slightly sweet salsa verde (or you could get salsa roja), queso fresco which adds a slightly salty zip, velvety crema Latina (which is slightly sweeter & less sour than American sour cream) & 2 eggs cooked how you like. This meal also comes with some steak & a side of the best black beans I've ever had- earthy, creamy, & meaty. My hubby and I shared bites & decided next time we will get both of these fantastic dishes & share equally. But here is my question... was it really a meal at Senor's Chile without a margarita or a mojito?!?! read more

Senor's Chile is a chain where its Edgewater location is the most popular Mexican spot in the area. My four-year-old daughter and I stopped by in August 2021 during the pandemic. Although indoor dining is open, we ordered our food to-go and sat on one of three outdoor tables in front of the restaurant. We called 15 minutes before we arrived to place our order of a shrimp burrito, kid's chicken taco with rice and beans and a margarita. It was ready when we arrived and payment took only a minute. Service was kind and fast. The food was just okay. There was nothing wrong with our order, but it wouldn't make any top Mexican food list on the East Coast. I will say my margarita was strong and very sizable! read more
