Naty's was a wonderful surprise. Clean place with nice wooden tables. Lots of decorations. My husband said it was the best burrito he has ever had. I had combo # 2 and very much enjoyed it. This is my second time trying Naty's Tex Tex-Mex and once again they did not disappoint. Per usual I called and was greeted by a friendly staff member. She helped me with my selection, which was great because I wanted to try something new this time and I was hungry so there was not a lot of room for error. The food was fresh and tasty. The shrimps were colossal and cooked to perfection. The chicken was tender and flavorful, and the steak was marinated very well and prepared just the way I like it. Picking up my food was a breeze, considering it was a phone order. The restaurant ambience was authentic, clean and inviting. Hadn't been here before and just remember it was an Asian restaurant in the A-frame building on West Street many years ago. We went for lunch and really liked everything. Although, when you walk in it seems like a standard Tex-Mex place it is definitely a cut above most. Three of us had the guacamole and chips to start, mushroom quesadillas, beef enchiladas, and shrimp fajitas. Everything was fresh tasting, delicious, and filling. We especially liked the shrimp fajitas which were grilled jumbo shrimp, with tomato, onion, and freshly made tortillas. I always use the beef enchiladas to gauge a new Tex-Mex/Mexican restaurant - these were super tasty- lots of flavor but not overwhelming and I love that they use pinto beans rather than typical black beans as one of the sides. Food and service were great. We will definitely make this one of our go to Annapolis restaurants. read more

This was our first time and initial impression was mixed: the TVs in the dining room made me worried, the wonky table gave me pause but we decided to press on since we are constantly in search of good restaurants near our new home. Jose made us feel welcome and comfortable right away. The menu seemed ambitious and we just hoped that the kitchen could manage such upscale dishes. We need not have been afraid! But first things first: the (free) salsa was a bowl of freshly chopped veggies in a nicely spiced sauce. The nachos were fresh-so many places now serve stale ones. We were off to a good start... Hubby ordered the grouper and shrimp in the white wine sauce. I ordered the shrimp in cream sauce. All I can say is that Michelin would be rating these highly-we were most impressed. Exquisite! from the top ... we had appetizers, entrees, and a dessert. Appetizers were calamari, plantains, and queso fundido. The calamari was well cooked (just a couple of chewy pieces) but the coating was not sticking too well (a disappointment). The plantains were very good. The queso fundido was made without chorizo but did have a piece or two of jalapeno swimming around in the sea of cheese. Entrees were the chicken chimichangas and a combo #1 chicken taco, beef enchilada, and pork pupusa. One of the chimis was pretty good, the filling in the other was way to wet so the chimi lost its changa and was chewy. Chicken taco was not bad but a little bland, the beef filling for the enchi was okay but also bland and the tortilla was gummy, the pupusa was pretty weak -- small, not much filling, and also bland (annapolis style?). The rice was pretty basic white rice with some mixed veggies tossed. The beans were pretty bland as well. Desert was flan. Flan is a custard that should have some 'jiggle'. My flan jiggled like a brick -- was either old or overcooked with a thick layer on top. When I eat in a restaurant that calls itself "Tex Mex" I expect bold flavors and great beans and rice. I was just in from the West Coast, travel clothes are very casual!! Have the Jalepeno Margarita!! They put Tajin on the rim, the only way to have a margarita, IMO We started with the queso fudido with beef!! Super nice!! And the chips come out warmed!! Again, fresh!! Every time I come here, they never disappoint! Except last night when they were out of red snapper, and I had to come back today because I heard they were getting fresh snapper in today. The service is amazing, they truly care about their guests! My husband absolutely loves the muscles, and the fried plantain are spot on. I have been here six times in two months. I have tried four or five different things, but the fried red snapper is worth coming back 2 days in a row for! Since they were out last night, I took it to go tonight. read more

Being a new restaurant to the Annapolis area, we were cautiously optimistic but wanted to give it a try. There were four of us in our party. The interior was quite clean and nice - which we noticed upon entering and we were promptly greeted by a cheerful staffer. We had appetizers and they were delicious as were our dinner entrees. The food was priced just right and the ingredients were quite fresh. Would we go back? Most definitely! Right now, Naty's is a new kid on the block but in time, we hope the word will grow that Naty's is a place where the food was very tasty, the prices reasonable, there was a very large menu to select from, and the staff was very attentive.
