I stopped by around 11:30am on a Tuesday for lunch and was seated immediately. The restaurant had a steady flow of people but wasn't overly busy yet. By the time I left around 12:40, it was starting to pick up. Right from the jump the service was great--friendly, team-oriented, and nobody left me waiting. Multiple staff members checked in throughout the meal, which I appreciate, especially during a lunch break. I ordered the California Burrito exactly as it comes, and it was delicious. The portion was solid, the steak was tender and seasoned well, and I'm a sucker for anything with fries inside, so they already had me hooked. Everything worked together--the guac, pico, cheese, and especially that chipotle aioli. Wouldn't change a thing . They also brought out complimentary chips and salsa, and the salsa had this subtle little kick that was perfect for my taste. This location is much bigger than the Severna Park Señor Chile, and the space makes a difference. Plenty of seating, well-spaced tables, casual vibe, and everything was very clean. It's a good option whether you're doing a work lunch like me, coming with a bigger group, doing a date night, or hitting happy hour. The food has always been consistent between both locations, so you can't go wrong, but the Arnold spot definitely works better if your with a large party. My burrito was around $16, and for the size and quality, I felt like it was worth it. Prices can climb a bit on the seafood and specialty items, but they've got enough variety that you can eat here without breaking the bank. I'd absolutely come back--and plan to. read more

No meat Fridays on deck and checking out local joints, Senor Chile at the Arnold, MD location was up. This location shares commercial space with other SBOs and Green Valley Market. After a late day I wanted to stop by and pick up but ended up dining in. Glad I did and my server Joanna was wonderful! I was seated to the left of the dining space and was immediately distracted by the bright lights, vibrant decor, and the glass wall divider took my attention. As I settled in, Joanna immediately brought tortillas and salsa, and iced water. The tortillas were still warm and the salsa were fresh with subtle kick. Wanting something cold to ease the heat, I chose the pina colada with no alcohol. I could taste the fresh coconut cream and pineapple, it went down smooth. While I normally don't care for whip, I liked the blend. Where's the cocktail umbrella lol ;-) oh, it was delish. The menu at Senor Chile has plenty of options for even the pickiest of eaters! I went with the Sombrebro Salad. Minus the lettuce, I swapped protein and requested the vegetables la plancha. Packed to the brim, my sombrero was filling and delicioso! I couldn't finish and this can feed two! Si, este simple pero que rico. Joanna is wonderful! I learned during closing my bill that the tacos in the menu were named after her. Very cool. First, the salsa was outstanding! You could tell it was homemade and we even are taking some home. Second, the Baja tacos were perfect. Exquisitely centered in a flour tortilla with a delicious coleslaw with bits of lightly battened catfish bites with a side of beans drenched in the same sauce as the salsa. And topped with pineapple bits. I think we just found a new favorite restaurant here. Also, it is festively decorated throughout the restaurant Definitely give it a try. This was my first visit to this establishment. I ordered a variety of item to see if this restaurant was a good choice. I ordered wings (hot wings), 3 beef tacos, Chori Pollo and Chori Cameron. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible, Horrible, Horrible, service. Food quality: 3-Stars at best. This review pertains to the service location at Arnold, MD. It is one of three in the Annapolis area. We stopped in as a group of 4 for dinner. It took almost 5 minutes for the waitress to wait on us after we were seated. When she did wait on us, she took our drink orders, disappeared for another 5 minutes, returned with our drinks, and forgot to bring us our glasses of water after delivery of our drinks. 10-minutes later, our bowl of chips and salsa dip were empty with no waitress in sight. Throughout our entire visit, we flagged down any staff member walking by to ask for water, more chips, more dip. Finally, our entrees arrived. Deliveries were made by other servers -- a standard routine at this place. When we finished eating with still no waitress in sight, we flagged down more staff for help. Given the inattentive service, we decided not to order dessert. One of us got up to ask for our bill at the bar/cashiers area. It was only then our waitress came over all to happy to present us with our bill displaying options for tips starting at 20%. Our tip? Zero as in "0". The waitress chuffed off as if she had been denied an optional benefit not earned -- vat least in the minds of all of us. Never, in years of worldwide travel have I seen such poor service. And the problem was not only with our waitress. It seems management at this locale is lacking our at the very least, ineffective. The tipping culture has gotten out of hand in the U.S.. So many customers feel bullied by the entire tipping culture and the process. We're happy in this instance to tip zero. It was well deserved. The food was OK. We are great fans of this chain. The service and food at the Severna Park location is 5-star and you'll note I've rated it so. If you want a great dining experience and want to try this chain, try the Severna Park location. read more

Connected with two other families and we brought all of our kids (5 in total) here for dinner. They had a great kids menu which included my 2 daughters favorites (bean and cheese burritos and taquitos). This was my first time here and my friends highly recommended the Birria Tacos. I am so happy I listened to them because it was sooooo gooood! It was the first time I had this type of taco. Service is usually very fast and the kitchen is open till 10:PM. All the franchise locations are very good. All are well staffed and friendly. Margaritas are good and there are lots of options of course. The birra is their staple item but everything is good. Except their rice and beans... for some reason it's a soft crumbly rice and the black beans taste like paste. I don't get that as most mex restaurants have way better beans than I can make at home. Has been a house favorite, though, for dine-in or takeout. It's not fancy, but it's fast, hot and there's something for everybody. Like most places it's better in house than take-out. Don't sleep on the wings! They're excellent also. However, if you come during that last hour they're open prepare to get blasted with music and staff more focused on cleanup than service. The food was amazing. Firstly, the salsa they bring for the table tasted 100% fresh like straight from the ground into the bowl. The chips and salsa were the highlight of my meal. Overall 3.5/5 stars! Overview: Lots of great choices, so take the time to look and see which meal you'd like! The chips were wonderful to start off my meal, and I loved how thin & crispy they were! I had the El Chile (under Combinacniones), and maybe it's just because I wasn't extremely hungry but the combination was decent. It consisted of a Chicken Tamale, Chicken Taco, and a Steak Sope. The Chicken Tamale was my first time ever tasting a tamale and it tasted extremely floury, but the meat of it tasted wonderful! The Chicken Taco was good, but it wasn't absolutely unique. I ended up taking the Steak Sope home, and when I did, it DID NOT disappoint. I met up with a mentor, and this place is one of her go-tos, however when we went, her meal (I believe one of the steak dishes) was unfortunately pretty undercooked/raw (she ordered it as a Medium). BUT the service was great and our waitress was kind enough to replace her meal with a mor thoroughly & adequately cooked steak! Senor Chile has three locations (Arnold, Edgewater, and a recently opened one in Severna Park). I have been to all three, and I will review the other two at a later date. The Senor Chile Cantina (Arnold) location is the closest to me. But I only end up going to this location when I want to dine in, as I get takeout from the one in Edgewater (more on that in a bit). First off, the menu is great. I enjoy the Mexican street tacos, and the Birria menu is top-tier. Seriously, if you want good Birria tacos, any of these locations will do it justice. I almost always order the Birria tacos when I go. The consume is superb and is a great dipping sauce for the tender and juicy meat in the tacos. The service is quick and attentive (although I did go when it was not busy, so I can't be a judge on how they perform when slammed or during peak hours like a lunch rush). I mentioned earlier how I go to the Edgewater location to order takeout. That is because I hate onions in my Birria tacos (yes you can judge me for that but I just hate onions in my food). And ordering online through the toast app at the Arnold location does not give me the option to remove the onions, sadly. That minor nitpick aside, Senor Chile Cantina is a nice spot with authentic Mexican food and the best Birria tacos on this side of Maryland. read more

The food was amazing, we both had chicken enchiladas with mole that were amazing. I also had a cheese enchilada, a tamale, and a chicken taquito too. All were really tasty and quickly prepared and brought to our table. The margarita and horchata were great and they had the best chips I've ever had. The salsa was good too with just a bit of a bite. Our waitress was really nice and checked in on us a couple of times. We will be back soon and will try tacos and burritos next time in addition to having the mole enchiladas again! read more

Stopped in here on a whim and we are so happy we did! The ambiance is great. We loved the Día de Los Muertos themed wall art and the music was very upbeat. It had a hint of lime, fresh tomatoes, onions and a bit of a kick from fresh jalapeño. For lunch we had a few different things. The barbacoa street taco, the carnitas street taco, and Al pastor street tacos were very good and authentic. My boyfriend had a chorizo Street taco with crema and I tried the carne asada gordita. Both were very good! The only thing that could have made them better is if the tortillas were made in house. We finished our meal with an order of traditional churros.
