1/4 Chicken Dark Meat White Rice

Try this place, it smells amazing and is a hidden gem. If you're in the area, this is worth a visit. There's free parking in the back for 30 minutes or so. When you walk up it smells amazing and you can smell the chicken roasting from outside. When you walk in, you see the giant rotisserie roasting lines of chicken. When you order, they take a chicken that's done and chop it up for the order. We got a plate of charbroiled chicken with rice and fries and a Lima bowl (think chipotle but better). I added guacamole in case it needed it but it was tender and succulent. Amazing charbroiled flavor and absolutely delicious! If we're in the area, we'll be back.

Rotisserie Chicken delight. There is a family meal that feeds about 6. The sides available are always cooked to excellence. I get the Platanos, rice ( fried and white), and beans. The fried yuca is also made right and both my Kids like the way the fries are cooked. If you're looking to enjoy Peruvian inspired dishes. I recommend the Lima's chicken. The side sauces are always made fresh. You can also order to take out and enjoy your meal at home. The staff are friendly, and attentive. Def a place to try out if you're in the mood for some Peruvian delight.

I was actually introduced to Lima's through a hairstylist of mine. We were struggling one late night and she let me finish her chicken bowl from this location. When I tell you I went to Lima's the NEXT day for my own bowl. I might've even returned 3 times in about 2 weeks. Lima's... is amazing. Simply put, I have no other words. Their chicken bowls are amazing every time, yellow sauce on everything. And for 6 out of 5 stars, their customer service is great and their fairly priced too. Completelty happy girl.

1/4 chicken white, cilantro white rice, potatoes

Stopped through for lunch for my brother on a Saturday morning. Parking is inside behind the restaurant and is free. You can dine-in. I got the 1/4 chicken white with 2 sides (potatoes and white cilantro rice) Everything was really good actually. If I had some salt and pepper, this whole meal would have been set offffff!!! The chicken was moist, hot and plentiful. The potatoes were slightly creamy. I would have def. add some S&P The white rice was perfect!!!

The chicken here was pretty tender seasoning was OK. The yuca wasn't good at all. They had a sort of vegetables and all kinds of rice and crap that almost like they want to be a Sardis which I don't like either. They are green sauce was very good. The people couldn't have been nicer, butit's just not a great place. As far as I'm concerned, I lived in Northern Virginia for 25 years and they had some fabulous chicken joints there at this place didn't even come close to.

It's supposed to be a wine bar, I guess, and the wine is their main focus, though they are also apparently well known for their pizzas. Despite it being busy, we were seated pretty quickly in the back area, and were served quickly. Our waitress was great, and offered a lot of good drink and food suggestions. I love the way the wine is broken down. They've got three categories, which are snarky grouping by price. I am drawing a blank on the names of the categories, and they're not on the website, so .... they were something like, "Wallet Friendly Wines," "I can splurge a little," and "Money is no object to wine!" Theirs were probably better and more creative -- dock me one star as a reviewer for not remembering. :) The wines were good. I tried two different ones, including an unusual "orange" wine, which is a white wine left to contact the skins. It was a little fruitier than I usually like in a white wine, but it was good still. The food for me was where it fell down. I ordered a charcuterie plate, which was honestly kind of skimpy for the price. I also got a burrata, which is served with "harissa roasted carrots." The harissa was incredibly spice forward, and... burrata is a delicious, but delicate cheese. The carrots and harissa basically contaminated it and overpowered it. They might as well have dipped it in coriander and cumin. That's fine if you want to eat coriander and cumin, but not if you want burrata. My pizza was the biggest let down. It's a "rustic" style pizza, but it frankly translates to "poorly made." It's a good size, roughly oval pizza, with very thin, crispy crust. Like a giant cracker. It's then cut into 16 pieces (give or take, don't quote me). Some of those pieces had /nothing/ on them. Like, just crust. No cheese. No sauce. No toppings. Others had just sauce. I'm not a big fan of pizza, but when I eat it, I expect every piece to have sauce, cheese, and toppings on it... if I wanted to eat just crust, I'd just ask for a pile of aperitif crackers. Great atmosphere, good drinks, fair price, but ... terrible food. If I lived nearby, I'd stop by for a drink now and again, but I wouldn't eat there.

They have a lovely outdoor patio space that was covered with space heaters for the winter, and I can only imagine how great it will be in the summer. The service was great throughout. I wanted to make sure I got a wine that paired well with our meal so the server recommended I order the wine after the food so she could give me a recommendation. We ordered a charcuterie board, glazed carrots with burrata, and the spotted pig pizza. The server recommended a Sangiovese to pair, and it was an excellent choice. It tasted really good with everything. The charcuterie board was good but honestly a little skimpy on the bread and apples so not every bite was evenly distributed. I enjoyed the burrata - it was a really interesting mix of Italian and Indian/Middle Eastern flavors that was unique and different. The pizza was also good but like the charcuterie board, the toppings were not evenly distributed so there were some bites with everything, and some bites that only had sauce or cheese. It is thin crust so if you do not like thin crust, you may not be a fan. I am a thin crust fan, so I enjoyed it overall!

Alexander's once before, and it was good enough for me to come back--and it did not disappoint. For this area, the cost was surprisingly budget‑friendly, especially considering the quality. The town center around it has clearly changed, with several stores and restaurants closed and even the old adjacent parking lot gone. But once we walked inside, the experience was excellent. Our server was friendly, helpful, and honest with her recommendations. My daughter and I both ordered the Chicken Palermo, and it was outstanding--fresh, tasty, and served in portions that rival anything back home in Texas. The broccoli was delicious, and I swapped one side for Brussels sprouts, which were just as good.

For a restaurant with a full bar, it was surprising they had no mezcal and were supposedly out of top-shelf bourbon, yet still served me a drink that tasted overly sweet and nothing like the premium bourbon I ordered. Another letdown was the lack of bread service. Other J. Alexander's locations usually serve croissants, so having none available took away from the experience. The food didn't make up for it either. The steak lacked flavor and felt low quality for the price. The "fried chicken platter" was basically oversized chicken tenders marketed as an entrée, and the mac and cheese was watery and bland instead of rich and creamy. Overall, the experience felt inconsistent and poorly executed. Between the missing staples, questionable bar service, and underwhelming food, this location did not feel worth the cost.

I also had the hush puppies which are served with the same butter that came with the biscuits. They were nice and crisp but not over cooked. I recommend both sides. My family seemed to enjoy their dishes as well. My friend had the burger with pork belly on it, my father had the Cajun seafood pasta & my mother had the blackberry thighs. The decor/ambience is so uncomfortably in need of renovation (the wood paneling, sectional seating, and carpet, for starters). They're known for their crab cakes which did NOT disappoint (according to those who ordered them) and TWO THUMBS UP on the salad bar ... which we ALL absolutely appreciated. However, the other food was mediocre and the attached pics prove the simple, low effort, dive-bar quality. It wasn't a total wash tho'! Their portions are respectable. The birthday boy LOVED the carrot cake buttt, the scallops, green beans, crab dip and fried chicken were declared unseasoned and the rockfish bites (strips) were salty.
