This is cute Peruvian chicken style eatery in Annapolis. There are about 12-15 booths inside and all the unoccupied booths looked clean. The floors by the drink station were sticky but easily could have been from a recent spill. The service was quick; I had the 1/2 chicken with rice which was ready immediately. My colleagues ordered burritos which were ready in 5-7 minutes. My fried rice was good 7/10, the sauce is what makes it, I added a mixture of both the yellow and green sauces. My chicken was a little too pink when I cut it for my liking so I paused on that. The crispy first bite I had was flavorful. There is limited parking in the back. Prices are very reasonable.

Try this place, it smells amazing and is a hidden gem. If you're in the area, this is worth a visit. There's free parking in the back for 30 minutes or so. When you walk up it smells amazing and you can smell the chicken roasting from outside. When you walk in, you see the giant rotisserie roasting lines of chicken. When you order, they take a chicken that's done and chop it up for the order. We got a plate of charbroiled chicken with rice and fries and a Lima bowl (think chipotle but better). I added guacamole in case it needed it but it was tender and succulent. Amazing charbroiled flavor and absolutely delicious! If we're in the area, we'll be back.

Rotisserie Chicken delight. There is a family meal that feeds about 6. The sides available are always cooked to excellence. I get the Platanos, rice ( fried and white), and beans. The fried yuca is also made right and both my Kids like the way the fries are cooked. If you're looking to enjoy Peruvian inspired dishes. I recommend the Lima's chicken. The side sauces are always made fresh. You can also order to take out and enjoy your meal at home. The staff are friendly, and attentive. Def a place to try out if you're in the mood for some Peruvian delight.

I was actually introduced to Lima's through a hairstylist of mine. We were struggling one late night and she let me finish her chicken bowl from this location. When I tell you I went to Lima's the NEXT day for my own bowl. I might've even returned 3 times in about 2 weeks. Lima's... is amazing. Simply put, I have no other words. Their chicken bowls are amazing every time, yellow sauce on everything. And for 6 out of 5 stars, their customer service is great and their fairly priced too. Completelty happy girl.

Stopped through for lunch for my brother on a Saturday morning. Parking is inside behind the restaurant and is free. You can dine-in. I got the 1/4 chicken white with 2 sides (potatoes and white cilantro rice) Everything was really good actually. If I had some salt and pepper, this whole meal would have been set offffff!!! The chicken was moist, hot and plentiful. The potatoes were slightly creamy. I would have def. add some S&P The white rice was perfect!!!

The chicken here was pretty tender seasoning was OK. The yuca wasn't good at all. They had a sort of vegetables and all kinds of rice and crap that almost like they want to be a Sardis which I don't like either. They are green sauce was very good. The people couldn't have been nicer, butit's just not a great place. As far as I'm concerned, I lived in Northern Virginia for 25 years and they had some fabulous chicken joints there at this place didn't even come close to.

We arrived to a mostly empty restaurant with lots of available seating...or so we thought. After waiting several minutes at the front before the hostess returned to seat us, we were taken to a booth that was imminently next to other guests and were informed the next both over, entire row near the back and the entire row next to the patio were reserved (for a parties that didn't arrive the entire time we were there) when we asked if anywhere else was available. Avoid the air fried chicken products - the chicken tenders and chicken sandwich were both paper thin and extremely dry. Our server seemed as though she would rather be anywhere else than serving our table, food was delivered by someone in a "chef's" coat, drinks were refilled by another server who happened to be walking by and noticed our glasses were empty and a manger checked in on us (who we shared our concerns with and who offered a replacement option) all while our server took care of another table, or sat in a private dining room at the back of the restaurant chatting with other staff. As for the ambiance - there really isn't any other than open and bright? Maybe it's better later in the evening or on the weekend, but as far as week nights - it's fairly mainstream. We keep returning to True Food as the healthier option hoping that the service, food quality and execution will someday match the price and location; however, this was likely our last experience.

It turned out to be the highlight, sitting at the "Chef's Counter" by the pizza station on the covered porch. (We are foodies, and always appreciate an opportunity to sit at a chef's table.) It was a fun spot with a great view of the action and personal interaction with two very hard working pizza chefs. We shared the beet salad, which was a nice start, followed by the skirt steak, the fungi pizza, and grilled asparagus. Everything was flavorful and well prepared. We also enjoyed a very nice Tempranillo with dinner. Our server, Stephanie, was excellent--friendly, attentive, and a pleasure to have taking care of us. Overall, a very enjoyable meal in a great setting. We'd be happy to return.

Our server was attentive and friendly, and that's the only reason this isn't one star. We ordered the barbecue chicken pizza and the pepperoni pizza, and they were easily the worst pizzas I've ever had. The crust tasted like cardboard: dry, crunchy with no snap or chew, and completely flavorless. The pepperoni tasted like nothing. There was barely any sauce, and both pies were flat and bland from edge to center. I have never left a restaurant without finishing my meal, and tonight I didn't even try. The potato pancake appetizer was no better. It had a sour aftertaste that made us push it aside after a bite or two. I genuinely don't understand the hype. The staff deserve a kitchen that matches their effort, but based on this visit I can't recommend the food, and I won't be back for pizza.

Starting in 2023 in my scrapbook series now. A lot more represented for 2023 than 2022 including…read moretwo representing January 2023 alone. The 1st of 2 was Metropolitan Kitchen & Lounge, which I visited on Sunday, January 8, 2023. I visited another time coincidentally also in January on Friday, January 31, 2020. January 2020 visit: My girlfriend of that time & I ended that month on 1/31/20 on a bad note, a huge fight. I won't get into details, but it was a rough night later in the night. The night started well. We drove from my apartment in Wheaton to here to see my girlfriend's friend's band play here. Metropolitan is relatively small, but on 2 levels. The 1st level is the restaurant while the 2nd level has a small stage & viewing area and bar area in a somewhat separated room. We watched her friend play, which had decent acoustics. After her show, we eventually got around to ordering food kind of on the late side. I got a burger, which was solid. She might've too. They also had free promotional drinks given by the alcohol company. I may have had a beer too. I was a bit tipsy. She was ready to go, and I said I need more time as I'm not quite ready to drive. She was kind of mean that night calling me a lightweight and things escalated from there. January 2023 visit: Circumstances were less bad than the January 2020 night, but it wasn't an ideal day either. Earlier in the day, my friend agreed to play games near her church at the IHOP. Her church was very close to the Bowie IHOP. I waited a while, and she had driven to Gambrills location saying how she doesn't feel safe eating in PG County. I was very annoyed with her and said I just came from that way, ultimately was going to a dinner later in Annapolis (here at Metropolitan), and booked a movie at AMC Annapolis before the dinner. She replied back apologizing and was already en route to Annapolis from Bowie. After my movie, I arrived for a Meetup group on that Sunday night at Metropolitan. It was a Lobster special that night, the catalyst for the host of the Meetup picking the place. When I arrived, I realized this was the same place I had that huge fight with my ex 3 years earlier, so it brought back bad memories. We were on the lower level restaurant area. I think almost everyone from the Meetup got the lobster special. Service was good. Lobster was solid as was the broccoli & potatoes. Although it was tasty, I was hungry not all that much later after I had gotten home that night. So, while the "deal" was cheaper than the standard price, it still was by no means cheap and to be hungry like 3 hours later was annoying. In summary, in spite of some bad memories, the food was good as was the service. I wouldn't rule this place out as an option.

Noticing two different listings for this same restaurant but I am only going to post here…read more Our crew has been here several times because one of the men in this group is such a fan and it was HIS birthday (Sat., 8/2/25) so we complied. Unfortunately, he's the only fan. I feel sooo bad being so critical so I'll make it quick. The decor/ambience is so uncomfortably in need of renovation (the wood paneling, sectional seating, and carpet, for starters). They're known for their crab cakes which did NOT disappoint (according to those who ordered them) and TWO THUMBS UP on the salad bar ... which we ALL absolutely appreciated. However, the other food was mediocre and the attached pics prove the simple, low effort, dive-bar quality. It wasn't a total wash tho'! Their portions are respectable. The birthday boy LOVED the carrot cake buttt, the scallops, green beans, crab dip and fried chicken were declared unseasoned and the rockfish bites (strips) were salty. The Chardonnay had vinegar undertones. The Tito's shot was $20 but this is not the type of establishment which can justify charging that! I'm going to stop there because I totally respect their long-standing "pillar of the community, local landmark, generational longevity" claim to fame. PLEASE visit for yourself and share YOUR opinion. When you go ... tell them you saw it on Yelp.

This is the kind of meal your mom would cook for, like, a graduation dinner, or if she was trying to impress someone. I've never had a bad meal here, but the crab cakes are the best in Maryland. I know everyone thinks they know where the best crab cakes are, but they are wrong, because the Edgewater Restaurant has them - a softball of jumbo lump crab meat, perfectly broiled with very few added ingredients so the crab shines through. All of the meals come with 2 sides of your choice, including potatoes served at least 3 different ways and a salad bar that isn't even trying to be healthy. Truly, there is no better place in Edgewater for dinner.
