Meat lovers omelette, home fries, toast.

Simply looking for a little breakfast on this Sunday morning...met a nice young man, he said from Egypt, 28yo. Apparently normal hours M-F, but started opening on weekends to test the business. Small place, limited seating, def a used space but clean. Close quarters upon entry, place your order, pay, grab a seat. Menu is extensive. Food came out in to-go containers/wrappers, in a bag. Looks like intended to be a take-out place. Food was excellent. I brought half of my Meat Lovers omelette and home fries, home. Wife's egg sandwich was also very good, maybe a touch too much butter (for her). We paid a price but everything these days is up. We'll go back when we're in the area, to try other food.

Definitely glad to have stopped in during our home hunting trip to Annapolis. They offer eat in and dine out. The customer service was top notch. Since it was our first time in, the gentleman at the counter was very informative and super friendly. The expansive menu is available ALL day-from breakfast sandwiches to smoothies and wraps to platters. Before ordering, we were offered a sample of the strawberry banana smoothie. It was delicious, so we ordered it plus a Pina Colada smoothie. We chose the gyro with fries, a Cuban sandwich, and a pastrami sandwich to go. They even gave me a side of his Mom's soup as a bonus-it was very tasty. Happy that I could add this great review to recommend this wonderful eatery.

Super friendly family owned and run restaurant. I've had the chicken steak, the Philly cheese and the lamb chops. All were excellent but the chips were "a cut above!". You will pay a little more but it's worth the price for the quality and the "home-cooking."

My tuna melt was disgusting . The service was decent. I thought I was gonna go back but I'll pass too pricey for nasty food.

Pretty nice grab a go restaurant. You are not going to spend a lot on your meal but you will get a sandwich or salad that will fill you up at a reasonable price. I have driven by this place many times and even pulled in to eat here, but never made it in the door due to my favorite pho soup place being in the area. Glad I did today, got a pretty nice Philly cheese steak sandwich and an order of fries for less than 10 dollars. I never judge a Philly steak by those I have in Philly so I would keep that in mind when you come into this place. The steak sandwich was very flavorful, it was loaded with onions, tomatoes, lettuce, and provolone cheese. The bun was nicely toasted and the over sandwich mouth appeal was 3.5 out of 5. The fries are nothing special although they where frozen fries that cooked up nicely. I am a fan of the large menu of sandwiches and salads, pretty much anything you could want under one roof. I will be back.

I ate lunch here and had the shrimp sandwich special. I really enjoyed the signs with quaint sayings. The food is good. Plenty of options on the menu and business is brisk. The sandwich was a variation on a dressed shrimp poorboy with avocado added. Fries and a drink finish the meal.

Place looks empty when walking in but overall good food. My only issue is pricing. The custom breakfast wrap was $21 alone. I added hashbrowns which was an extra $4+ . Plus my smoothie. The food isn't worth $30 in my opinion but the food was good. Because of the price I probably won't be coming back but I tried it.

    Lots of sign art.

Bottom Line: A simple sandwich shop serving breakfast and lunch at reasonable prices. If I lived or worked near Corner Cafe I would be a regular. They have sandwiches made with Boar's Head meat and simple entrees. They also have salads and smoothies. It's not gourmet but it's satisfying and the employees are friendly. Most people seem to get their meal to go but they do have some tables inside and even a few outside. For beverages, they have coffee, Coca-Cola fountain sodas and various bottled drinks.

They are definitely lighter on the sauce, so if that's your preference these are perfect. Personally, I like my wings a little saucier, so I would probably ask for extra sauce next time. The chicken itself was fried perfectly and the portion size was pretty solid. For my main, I got the buffalo chicken wrap with no buffalo sauce and it was amazing. The lettuce, guac, and pico all tasted fresh and paired really nicely with the breaded chicken in the wrap. My only complaint with it is they go pretty light on the guac and pico, so I wish there was a bit more of both. The pricing overall was fair too and didn't feel over the top for the quality and portions. The fries that came with the wrap deserve their own mention because they were phenomenal. Crispy golden brown on the outside with a soft, fluffy inside. Honestly, I'd come back just for the fries alone. I requested outdoor seating when making the reservation and they have a really nice outdoor section with a great atmosphere and view. They did a good job with the space they had, but the tables are pretty close together, so you can hear basically every conversation around you. The chairs were also a bit smaller and not the most comfortable for longer seating. Service was great all around. Our server was very polite and even helped my very undecided sister choose her meal. Everyone was friendly and it definitely feels like a nice place to bring friends or family. My only real complaint, and honestly this applies to a lot of places nearby, is the parking. It was pretty rough. Other than that, definitely a place I'd come back to.

I had a mixed experience overall…read more I ordered the chicken and waffles. The fried chicken had good seasoning and flavor, which I did enjoy. However, the chicken was breast meat and sliced thin, which made it come across as dry. I did tell the server I liked it and didn't go into much detail since she seemed very busy and I didn't want to add stress in the moment. Still, it's not something I would personally order again. The waffle situation was more frustrating. I initially received cornmeal waffles, but I had told my server ahead of time that I strongly avoid cornmeal. She said she would substitute them, so I was surprised when the plate came out with the original cornmeal waffles. I didn't realize at first and ended up taking a bite before noticing. I let the server know and she had the kitchen remake it. The replacement Belgian waffles were overcooked and dense, so they didn't really improve the experience. The butter though was genuinely delicious, just very rich and more of a holiday-style flavor than something I'd personally crave in warmer weather. I also had a basic cup of coffee made with Rise Up Coffee Roasters, which was $4.50. That felt overpriced for what it was. I could have walked right across the street and had a specialty coffee from the source for very little extra cost, which honestly would have been the better choice. Overall, the experience had some clear issues, especially with the waffle mix-up and consistency, but it wasn't completely disappointing. I just don't think I would personally order the same meal again.

I made a takeout order and got the crab cake omelette (w/ a biscuit) $18.29, legendary scone: Blueberry $3, single blueberry pancake $2.89, single maple bacon pancake $2.89, and single cinnamon roll pancake $2.89. - The crab cake omelet was my 2nd favorite as they surprisingly didn't skimp on the crab additions. The biscuit was just alright, but luckily it's best once combined with omlette to make a good sandwich. - The blueberry scone was probably my favorite, as it was pretty good. It was moist, fresh, and well done. - The trifecta of pancakes ranged from just okay to decent, and my ranking would go blueberry, maple bacon, and then cinnamon roll. For some odd reason, the texture of the cinnamon roll pancake was notably inferior to the other 2. Overall, my experience was quite a good one due to the scone and crab omelet delivering the most. -- #issa.cheatday
