Always check for the Boatyatd specials for the best options, especially for seafood. The flavorful, features aren't typically on the standard menu. They also bring in specialty desserts at times. The ambiance is chill with friendly staff. The fried oysters are delicious, tender with a nice batter and sauce. We had the specialty rockfish and pan fried haddock with two coconut shrimp and curry sauce. Both pieces of fish were tender and a good portion size. If the have a sauce woth lump crab meat don't expect any crab. Instead of a light garnishing of crab it's almost invisible strands that broke down in the sauce, no taste profile. The sides are exchangeable. The mashed potatoes, squash medley and asparagus are prepared well. Dessert was a simple brownie sundae that hit the spot.

Wow! We decided on Boatyard Bar & Grill in Annapolis, Maryland for dinner while we were in town. We're very happy that we did! The wait for a table for 2 people on a Saturday evening was 35-40 minutes and the hostess took our cell phone number and kindly verified that we received their text confirmation before we moved from the hostess stand. Nice touch. This bar & grill was busy, but we grabbed a drink from the bar while we waited for our table. The decor is a fun nautical theme throughout. I love the signage above the bar, and the lighting that spotlights the large fish on the walls. You can see the local families and groups of friends who make this place a weekly jaunt! Our server, Shannon W. was friendly and knowledgeable with the specials and the menu. We ordered the Cream of Crab soup, the Eastport Steamer Sampler, and the Open-Faced Crab Dip Samich. Yes, it's spelled Samich. Everything was delicious. Everything was seasoned nicely. Glad we had a great meal to write about! Also, a quick stop into the Women's restroom to wash my hands was nice with the quirky signage on the door and the pleasant scent of the restroom itself. Another nice touch.

Boatyard is a nice seafood restaurant in Annapolis. They have a decently sized indoors and outdoor seating. That meant I was able to bring my dog to the place! I had their crab and artichoke dip, fried oysters, soup, and crab cake dinner. I enjoyed everything! I really like the dip, but I loved the bread used for the dip - it was a lot crunchier and was pretty easy to chew. For the soup, I had the yin and yang, which is a half/half of Maryland crab soup and cream of crab. I personally preferred the cream of crab more. I also really like the fried oyster and crab cake as well!

Drove to Boatyard while visiting Annapolis. Ordered Oysters daily specials, Chesapeake Sampler and Crispy Calamari. Foods are tasty and savory. Needs more portion as it is a bit meager. Service (Daisy our server) is accommodating and attentive. The place is lively with a nautical vibe. Love the ambiance.

If you're planning a seafood stop in Annapolis, this spot absolutely deserves a place on your list We timed our visit during happy hour--and let me tell you, it was the best decision ever. Dollar oysters? Yes, please! I didn't expect much at first, but wow... they were incredibly fresh, clean, and so easy to slurp. Pair them with hot sauce, cocktail sauce, or their refreshing cucumber mignonette, and it's game over. I may or may not have devoured nearly two dozen myself... and honestly, no regrets Beyond the oysters, everything we ordered hit the mark. The Mama's meatballs were rich, hearty, and packed with flavor--true comfort food vibes. The Mussels Sailor Style were another standout; the buttery, garlicky broth was so good we were basically dipping bread non-stop. And the mussels themselves? Plump, juicy, and perfectly cooked. Now let's talk about their Crab & Artichoke Dip... I'm still dreaming about it. Creamy, indulgent, and downright addictive--I could eat that every single day without hesitation. And of course, you can't leave without trying their famous crab cake sandwich. It's on a whole different level. The crab meat is tender, super fresh, and beautifully seasoned--letting that natural, sweet ocean flavor shine through in every bite. Safe to say, this place is a seafood lover's dream. I'll definitely be back for more next time im in Annapolis! The staff's services are good too! Love this place!

Great restaurant with lots of seating. Has two large tents with outside seating and a small deck. Also has a bar area and dining areas. This place is located off main area of town and easily walkable from the main area of Annapolis. Worth the walk. Easy to find and a great walk over the bridge to view boats, etc. Not sure about parking as we walked from center of town. Greeted by friendly bartender. She was very polite and checked in on us throughout our visit. Ordered a habenaro margarita which was great and well made. Also had a drink called Admiral that was super good too. They do have some tasty looking drinks on their menu. Ordered the artichoke and crab dip. Asked for tortillas instead of the French bread. This was delicious. Portion was generous. Also, ordered a white fish BLT that came with fries. That too was terrific. Great place! Would visit again.

My wife and I went here for a recent weekend brunch and had a great experience. Despite Boatyard Bar & Grill being busy and that it doesn't take reservations, we were able to get a table immediately. The ambiance is awesome-true boathouse vibes with lots of themed decorations. We had good service throughout our meal, with food coming in a timely manner. I started with the oysters of the day, which had a good mild flavor, pairing well with the cocktail sauce and vinegar. We shared the rockfish tacos and the pear and three cheese pizza, both of which were great. The rockfish was perfectly cooked and the accompaniments were solid. The pizza had a great crust, tons of delicious cheese, all paired nicely with arugula and pears. I would highly recommend Boatyard Bar & Grill for dining during your next visit to Annapolis!

Respectfully, please don't get a burger/sandwich here when their seafood is the star!

We went on a Saturday night and were estimated a one-hour-and-ten-minute wait. They take your phone # and get notified via text when a table is ready for your party. We ended up waiting 50 minutes (it was 8pm at this point), and we can tell the lines weren't as long at this time of night. Anyway, we tried the calamari, fresh oysters, and soup of the day (clam chowder) as our appetizers. It was all pretty good but nothing really stood out. This place is known for their crab cakes, and so we had to try it. The market price when we went was a whopping $68!!! Was it worth it? It was THE BEST crab cake I've ever had, and I've tried all kinds-- from the banks of Louisiana to the New England waters to the Pacific Northwest, etc. Outstanding. It was fresh, no bits and pieces of crab shells, AND it wasn't stuffed with too much breading like other crab cakes. The crab is the ACTUAL star of the dish like it should be!! The rest of the dinner plate was also amazingly paired-- fresh roasted veggies and creamy mashed potatoes. My husband got the house special crusted halibut. He said it was good but severely lacking seasoning. My kids tried their angus beef burger and some sandwich. My advice is DON'T get anything that's not seafood here. While it was still good, it was not as tasty as the seafood. Make your money worth it and only go for the seafood- specifically the crab dishes!

We enjoyed the Artichoke and Crab dip, the Ying Yang soup, a Harbor Salad, and a Crab Cake Sandwich. We split these and could not finish it all. Everything was exceptional accept we didn't care for the salad (personal taste). The crab cakes were was fantastic as they claim. The atmosphere was casual, customers seemed local, and prices were very fair. Service was friendly, informed, and fast. Highly recommend.

Such a great little place, awesome atmosphere. This was an impromptu stop with some friends after returning from a retreat. The staff was very warm, and ther service was prompt, even with a last minute large party! Started with Anthony's oysters I got the fish tacos (blackened) so tasty Hubby got the crab cakes which were also great, the table commented on the full lump and flakiness of the crabcake. Several even said that it was one of the best they've had. (I'm sorry I was hungry, so no pic, if I can get one from friends I'll post it later.) Well definitely come again, it was a good time

Oysters were delicious sweet salty and acidic where they needed to be staff was all right, servers weren't all that great or attentive. So if you just want to eat and be left alone this is the place to come

One of the best restaurants we've been to in a while! Dined in with our 3 young kids on a busy Saturday evening. To my surprise, we were seated right away & they offered coloring kids menus, which the kids loved! We ordered... -Antoine's oysters Rockefeller: amazing! So tasty. Generously sized oysters! A must order -Sesame crusted ahi tuna: so good. Super fresh tuna. One of the best versions we have tried. -Blackened tuna salad: phenomenal & I'd order this again & again. Ordered the tuna rare & it was cooked to perfection. Salad itself was fresh with a tasty dressing. -Lobster & crab roll: it was good but wasn't wowed. Have had better. Kids had the cheeseburger, hot dog, & grilled cheese from the kids' menu, which they all devoured. I really wanted to try their crab cakes...but the dinner was priced at 60+ for 2. For a single crab cake is $30+. Maybe next time. Service was exceptional though. It was PACKED, but our waitress was attentive. This place is a big operation, but they've really got it down to a science. We will most certainly be back whenever we are in town!

First time having a quick lunch at this quiet quirky little seaside restaurant spot and Kelsey was an awesome waitress ! Super attentive and welcoming, always had a smile on her face and gave us awesome soup recommendations! I got the Yin and Yang soup and the crab and artichoke dip and it was all amazing!

However, the chicken was breast meat and sliced thin, which made it come across as dry. I did tell the server I liked it and didn't go into much detail since she seemed very busy and I didn't want to add stress in the moment. Still, it's not something I would personally order again. The waffle situation was more frustrating. I initially received cornmeal waffles, but I had told my server ahead of time that I strongly avoid cornmeal. She said she would substitute them, so I was surprised when the plate came out with the original cornmeal waffles. I didn't realize at first and ended up taking a bite before noticing. I let the server know and she had the kitchen remake it. The replacement Belgian waffles were overcooked and dense, so they didn't really improve the experience. The butter though was genuinely delicious, just very rich and more of a holiday-style flavor than something I'd personally crave in warmer weather. I also had a basic cup of coffee made with Rise Up Coffee Roasters, which was $4.50. That felt overpriced for what it was. I could have walked right across the street and had a specialty coffee from the source for very little extra cost, which honestly would have been the better choice. Overall, the experience had some clear issues, especially with the waffle mix-up and consistency, but it wasn't completely disappointing. I just don't think I would personally order the same meal again.

I made a takeout order and got the crab cake omelette (w/ a biscuit) $18.29, legendary scone: Blueberry $3, single blueberry pancake $2.89, single maple bacon pancake $2.89, and single cinnamon roll pancake $2.89. - The crab cake omelet was my 2nd favorite as they surprisingly didn't skimp on the crab additions. The biscuit was just alright, but luckily it's best once combined with omlette to make a good sandwich. - The blueberry scone was probably my favorite, as it was pretty good. It was moist, fresh, and well done. - The trifecta of pancakes ranged from just okay to decent, and my ranking would go blueberry, maple bacon, and then cinnamon roll. For some odd reason, the texture of the cinnamon roll pancake was notably inferior to the other 2. Overall, my experience was quite a good one due to the scone and crab omelet delivering the most. -- #issa.cheatday

We got there around 1:30-2 for a late lunch. We were warned of a 30m wait for 6 however were told…read morewe would be seated before close time and be fine. I should take a step back, parking when driving east is literally right past the restaurant in the back. I personally think it's almost invisible that way, there is a sign but it looks like it's pointing to a grassy field (my SO felt the same way). I turned up further and U turned and it's more clear going west. The parking says free but the people caravaning with us got dinged for parking being free until 3 (we were there after that) which was not well advertised (SO only figured it out online) and there were no gates or cards when we went in free that I saw. I guess that's not really the restaurants fault but it did sour the experience a little and worth knowing getting there. Anyway, the waiting area is big but it's fairly narrow so if you're not on the bench you're sort of awkwardly standing in the middle of the entry area. But since it's big there wasn't any colliding with people unlike other places I've had to wait. There is outside seating but it was not available the day we were there despite it being 60-70s. Their menu has a good mix of breakfast and lunch foods. My first complaint is that a lot of the stuff is a lot. They don't have a lot of non-complex foods (e.g. plain hamburger) which may turn off some folks notably kids. That said their kids menu combo was pretty diverse itself, both kids with us seemed pleased. I got a pulled pork sandwhich with sweet potato fries. I also saw best pancakes in the country advertised so got 2 pancakes (apparently they have a short stack I did not see on either manu) which I felt was good to know. I was pleased with all my food, though it was understably messy. However, given the length of time it took to seat as well as eat, I did not think it was any better than IHOP or Dennys. So comparing price and boasting, does affect my rating. I suspect some of the price hike is location, perhaps they can afford to do that, they definitely had plenty of customers! NOTE: Usually I'll describe other peoples food but our party was big. No-one had any super remarkable praise or detraction which is another reason for the 3* leaning. If we had not been driving through, hungry and specifically targetted this place I'm not sure we would have stayed. When we left we were not hungry and were happy but I am hard pressed to give more than 3* since it didn't feel memorable just long and expensive. That said, 3 is average, I would eat there again if in the area or even recommend people to try. But I also know that strip has a ton of stellar foods, so...likely you could also find better places even for brunch :)

We sought out a sandwich shop here on Yelp and found Eastport Kitchen. Once again, the Yelp community did not steer us wrong Eastport Kitcjen is a quaint little shop in a strip center - and while it's not glamorous on the outside, do not let the looks deter you. The menu is a fantastic mix of options and the food is outstanding. While I felt pressure while ordering, that's only because I was I familiar with the menu and stood salivating in front of the register trying to decide. We chose the chicken salad sandwich and the roasted turkey sandwich. My wife ordered a side of kale slaw and I chose the Szechuan green beans. All were delicious, but special shout out to the curried chicken salad and the kale slaw. Perfect! (/chef kiss) We enjoyed Eastport Kitchen so much - we went back the next day. This time we ordered the shrimp sandwich (the standard version, not the "bang bang" special), Maryland crab soup, a salmon salad and more kale slaw. We were not disappointed at all. The shrimp sandwich was the star this day, and while the Maryland crab soup was good, it paled a bit compared to the other dishes. When the menu choices are all good, inevitably something doesn't shine quite as brightly. We will definitely be back. So many more items to try. Maybe even tomorrow....
