We wanted to have a good Italian deli lunch while away from home. We found this place online while passing through and were sold based on what we saw. The storefront is awesome with a ton of options. I wish we had one where we live! We got an Italian sub, antipasto salad, sundried pasta salad and a Porketta. We also snagged ricotta cheesecake, torta della nonna & lemon drop cookies. The italian sub was perfect! We enjoyed the sides as well. The porketta was not as exciting. The flavors of the pork kinda overtook the whole thing and the broccoli rabe was stringy. It could use a little finesse. The desserts were great! Especially loved the cheesecake, so yum. The guy who greeted us initially was super nice! The lady behind the register didn't really seem to want to be there and wasn't friendly. We were glad to have tried the goods anyway and would grab food to go again.

This used to be a high end Italian deli where everything was delicious and fresh. I had a bad sandwich here a year ago and thought I would give them another try since they used to be great. I ordered the muffaletta sandwich. First of all, I can barely bite through the bread. It's somehow stale and undercooked at the same time. There's a pile of what looks and tastes like bologna and American cheese in the middle of the thing and about a cup of slimy olive tapenade. Terrible! I will not eat here again, stay away. It's like $18 for this sandwich, fountain soda and 2oz bag of chips.

This is a very good Italian deli serving both hot food, deli style sandwiches and food and an Italian market inside. You can order traditional Italian sandwiches such as sausage sandwiches, chicken parmigiana, Italian cold cuts, soups and salads. They also do pizza, pastas, calzones and traditional Italian desserts such as tiramisu, cheesecake and cannolis. They even have frozen and refrigerated pre-made foods for take-home such as soups, pasta, deli meat and desserts. You can also purchase whole cakes here. On one occasion I purchased a whole carrot cake which was approximately $75 and it was delicious. I called approximately 2 days in advance and they had it ready for me at pickup. My only disappointing thing about the cake order is they don't have whole cake boxes that fully close. Essentially what they do is put the cake in a box and seal the open parts of the box with plastic wrap. This isn't necessarily a deal breaker however I was expecting more considering this was a whole cake order and their whole cakes are all virtually the same size. Overall a good experience. I'll return if in the area. Give them a try.

Amazing Italian deli and market. All the usuals and some new dishes too. Sandwiches are on point but the bread was a bit stale.

The service was just as impressive as the food. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made our celebration feel special. One of the highlights of the evening was being invited to the speakeasy downstairs, where we were treated to complimentary drinks. It was such a fun surprise and made an already memorable night even better. Overall, this was an outstanding dining experience from start to finish. The bar was loud and lively around happy hour, while the patio was much quieter and gave us a more relaxed place to enjoy dinner. I wasn't very familiar with the Italian wines, so I asked our waiter for a recommendation. He brought me a sample before I ordered a full glass, which was a thoughtful touch. His recommendation was excellent. My partner ordered the Pineapple Tiki Old Fashioned and she loved it. The filet mignon sliders were delicious. My Black Linguine Arrabbiata had a little spicy kick and was very good, with calamari, clams, mussels, crab meat, and spicy marinara. The one disappointment was the tiramisu, which neither of us cared for. Our waiter was helpful and attentive throughout the meal without making us feel rushed. Between the food, thoughtful service, and comfortable outdoor seating, we had a very enjoyable evening. The lively interior is a good option if you want more energy, but the patio was perfect for a quieter meal in the beautiful weather. We'd happily return, but we'd probably choose a different dessert next time.

The feta chunks neither added nor detracted from the dish. A dollop of mascarpone or ricotta would have given it an even richer, meltier finish. Heck even a whipped feta would've added more depth. The blend of meats was outstanding with a pleasant kick of spice, while the mellow, flavorful marinara had a thinner consistency that made it perfect for crostini dipping. Lobster RavioliThe sauce was unquestionably the star of the show. The pasta tasted homemade with a wonderful texture. Unfortunately, the lobster seemed either overcooked or not at its freshest, as it had a noticeable fishy flavor and a chewy texture. The fresh lump crab, however, made for an excellent garnish and added a bright, sweet contrast. Smoked Pineapple Rum Old FashionedThe pineapple-infused rum came through nicely, giving the cocktail great flavor. The smoke, however, was much more subtle than I expected. I knew it had been smoked because the bartender presented it with a plastic smoking device over the glass. I was anticipating the more dramatic wood-smoke presentation under a glass dome that I'm accustomed to. It was also missing the classic Luxardo or maraschino cherry garnish, and without any garnish at all, it felt like it was missing that final finishing touch. OverallWhile it didn't quite reach Feed My Soul status, everything was genuinely good. An added bonus is that it's within walking distance of Maryland Hall, making it a perfect stop before or after a show. ServiceFriendly staff and impressively fast service. The food arrived much quicker than expected.

It turned out to be the highlight, sitting at the "Chef's Counter" by the pizza station on the covered porch. (We are foodies, and always appreciate an opportunity to sit at a chef's table.) It was a fun spot with a great view of the action and personal interaction with two very hard working pizza chefs. We shared the beet salad, which was a nice start, followed by the skirt steak, the fungi pizza, and grilled asparagus. Everything was flavorful and well prepared. We also enjoyed a very nice Tempranillo with dinner. Our server, Stephanie, was excellent--friendly, attentive, and a pleasure to have taking care of us. To be fair, the service was excellent. Our server was attentive and friendly, and that's the only reason this isn't one star. We ordered the barbecue chicken pizza and the pepperoni pizza, and they were easily the worst pizzas I've ever had. The crust tasted like cardboard: dry, crunchy with no snap or chew, and completely flavorless. The pepperoni tasted like nothing. There was barely any sauce, and both pies were flat and bland from edge to center. I have never left a restaurant without finishing my meal, and tonight I didn't even try. The potato pancake appetizer was no better. It had a sour aftertaste that made us push it aside after a bite or two. I genuinely don't understand the hype. The staff deserve a kitchen that matches their effort, but based on this visit I can't recommend the food, and I won't be back for pizza.

Ambiance: Modern and sassy, but can be loud. I'd say it has a very energetic vibe. Not very intimate because of the, sometimes boisterous, patronage. There is a new dress code, but I didn't see it being enforced on a few. Not somewhere to have a quiet refined dinner, at least on a Saturday. However, there is outside seating, which actually is a little more relaxed, if the weather is cooperative. App steak rolls: These are always a hit when going here. Sadly I think these are going away because the new owners want a more authentic Italian restaurant. Steaks: We ordered 3 10 oz filets. 2 were cooked perfectly, the third was very rare in the center when all of them were supposed to be medium. Part of me thinks the back got the order wrong somehow, because the two others were perfect. Very strange. Truffle Fries: Very yummy, although to me, I felt it needed a tad bit more salt, but there is salt on the table as needed. I would definitely order these fries again.

After perusing the website, we decided to give Luna Blu a try. I went with the All' Annapolis, which includes veal scallopini sautéed with crabmeat, in a delicious creamy rose sauce. The portion size is very large as well as I could not finish it while I was sitting in my hotel room bed trying to maneuver not getting any on the sheets. I felt a bit like a gluttonous pig but whatever if I could do it again I would and probably finish it next time. For dessert I ordered the Zabaglione. I never heard of this dessert before and felt the need to try it. Zabaglione consists of a smooth dessert of egg custard creamed with Marsala wine served in a glass with strawberries. According to their menu it is their house specialty. I enjoyed the dessert and it was very light. I recommend you try it instead of the typical piece of cake dessert at least once in your lifetime if you see it on the menu. My girlfriend got the gluten free cheese pizza which was kind of average. Again, this is based on a delivery order, not knocking the pizza per say but I sugguest you probably shouldn't get pizza at a place like this as they offer some dynamite seafood dishes. We wanted to sample the flavors to see if it met my standards. Yes I am a home cook but skills are more than average. We ordered the Meatballs, Sausage, and Salmon Ravioli small plates. Without knowing the owner when I passed him he made sure to say hello. We sat at the bar were Lee was our server. Let me start with Lee then I will get onto the plates. Lee was one of the most attentive bartender/servers I have met. He ranked right up there with many I know and those that know me that's extensive. He made excellent suggestions, told us all the pasta was homemade. Described the dishes on the regular menu. Simply delightful to talk to. He started to bring out our dining selections. First up was the fried calamari. I forgot to take a picture but the crunchiness first hit your bite but then the tenderness of the calamari took over. The dipping sauce had a pleasant bite to it. Excellent pairing. Never got to the bed of greens. He then served the salmon ravioli. It may be football season but Chef Canales hit it outta da park ! The dough was light, the filling was divine, and the sauce was velvety to the palate. Next came the meatballs over garlic mashed potatoes embedded in a tomato basil sauce. Cut them in three to enjoy the subtlety of sliding your fork through all the flavors! There is a thing in the restaurant business called the Wow factor! Right there, right there, right there. Finally the two slices pork sausage came out over garlic mashed times three with streaming balsamic glaze! Again I sliced the sausage in half to drag the fork across those flavors mixing them together before putting them to the palate test. When I go Oh Yeah you know it's an experience.
