I came by here on the way to the library in mid-morning. I've intended to come by before but just…read morehaven't made it until today. Nice little coffee shop with a selection of baked goods and some sandwich offerings. Overall the place is neat and clean, although some of the furnishings are a bit worn looking. I was greeted promptly on entry and had nice brief chat with cashier. I ordered a Chai Tea and an Espresso-Toffee-Chocolate Chip Cookie. The beverage was pretty good and the cookie was excellent. There was an interesting set of items for sale in the dining area, which included Mystery Reads. These were books wrapped nicely with the genre on the wrapping, and some neat little "gifts" in the wrapping. Cool idea! The only downside of my experience was the number of flies. I had planned to stay and enjoy my Chai but I just couldn't due to the flies landing on me and my beverage cup. I'd recommend they do something to control flies as it's not conducive to a great guest experience.

A dark muffin with ginger was great to dunk in my well made hot Matcha tea with oat milk. Great retro ambiance. Child friendly, tiny group or just me with a lap top friendly. Unique inexpensive items for sale. Such as Blind Date with a Book already splendidly packaged as a gift. Staff and Baker were so helpful and shared infomation to answer my questions. Be sure to enjoy and take a selfie under the gorgeous mural on their outside redbrick wall.

In my immediate neck of the woods, there are unfortunately no good local coffee shops. Drive out of…read morethe county and there are great coffee shops to choose from. My go-to, however, is Amity! Unique to Amity are their single-origin beans roasted fresh in-house! The coffee and food are delicious! The drink and food menu is ample and offers a great variety of choices, including gluten-free treats and vegetarian foods. Best part - everything is made fresh in-house! Put these menu items on your must-try list: 1) Chocolate chip cookies - I've been on a hunt for the best chocolate chip cookie and Amity's is high up on the list 2) Cafe Nico - delicious hot or cold coffee made with fresh orange citrus zest 3) Hot ham and cheese sandwich and the quiches! Very good! 4) A scone with coffee/tea is always my go-to! Amity boasts a cozy place for the community to come together, for friends to catch-up over coffee, and for small businesses to meet and network together. The venue can also be rented out for private events! You can trust Amity with its clean eatery, a cozy and welcoming atmosphere for the entire family, great hospitality, and an overall good experience. If the husband & wife-owners are working, make sure you say hello. They are super friendly and would love to welcome you to their shop.

Wow! What a gem! My family & I were driving to the Delaware…read morebeaches early morning from a significant distance--we were exhausted and depleted from the drive and were revived by this cozy (while still being spacious!) cafe, nestled on the Main Street of Greenwood, Delaware, an area one must pass through to get to the sea salty air of the beach towns. The coffee at Amity was absolutely delicious--the lattes were perfectly crafted, smooth and with just the right amount of milk & froth to create the much sought after creaminess without losing the flavour of the rich coffee itself. The Americano hit the spot for my other family member--who, too, is a coffee snob and severe coffee critic. Having spent time in Italy, few places in the US ever meet the mark for him, and yet Amity passed the test with flying colors. The green tea latte we ordered was also memorable; a sweet and reviving treat for the family member who had specifically requested it. The place itself was also pleasant and is worth noting. The warm smell of coffee that wafted throughout the spacious establishment was delightful and invigorating; the staff were helpful and efficient and clearly expert barristers. We took a little time to simply sit down and enjoy the smells and warm sense of community the place endows. I very highly recommend stopping here if you find yourself in Greenwood, Delaware and are on route to the beach; I can assure you that you won't regret it! (We didn't manage to eat here though the pastries were inviting! Given the quality of the coffee and the high standards of this cafe, I wouldn't be surprised if their food was quite good as well!)
