I can't rave enough about this place! My husband had the Sesame Street tuna tacos and I have the Pelican Brief cod taco. Both were devine! The mayo chipotle sauce was unbelievable. The tuna tacos has fresh shaved ginger and he said they were the best he's ever had. To put it over the top, the finishing touches and ambiance were fun and put the whole experience over the top. Friendly worker. Love the location. Food. Meh. Their quality is good. Just the option. It is weird. None of the food on the menu has beef or chicken. All of them are beans, seafood and something we have never seen at other Mexican restaurant. For example- quesadilla. For dinner- goat cheese and jelly. Nutella with banana. None of them are cheese quesadilla or chicken that are most popular at other place. We got their bean nachos. Pretty decent. Trio salsa was good. But that was it. Entree did not make any of us happy. We didn't finish our meals and brought them home in a doggy bag that ended up in trash because we weren't in the mood to eat them. We should have read the menu carefully. We just saw. "Tacos. Quite honestly one of the worst "Mexican" restaurants I have had the displeasure of experiencing. This place is on some sort of weird pescatarian vibe that limits the menu to either starving to death or paying 30+ dollars for some mid seafood. This is the finest restaurant on earth - not kidding it really is. My cod taco transcended food into a religious experience. Our server busted her azz serving a lunch of 16 and did it with charm and true hospitality. It's like we love our food and want u to love me it. Have been there a number of times. Food is outstanding; always something different and always good. This past time it seems though portions are getting a bit smaller, but still delicious. The biggest problem there is the service! As I have been there a number of times, the service is always the biggest issue. Wait staff is young and just appear slow and do not how to be attentive to guests. Don't check in often enough and takes forever to get a drink or food. Stopped in for a late lunch with pals after a kayaking on the creek. We had to wait a few minutes for a table, but the host was kind enough take my name and number and text me when it was ready. That gave us time to review the extensive menu! We got the chili melt tacos, nachos and the chum bucket. I got a chum bucket without cheese or sour cream (not pictured). Even without dairy, my dish was super filling and well flavored. They also had a super fun truffle hot sauce that I need to buy for home! The patio seating appears new and is lovely! I appreciated the mismatching plates and silverware :) overall, the service is a little on the slow side, but it's a small place and the ingredients and food preparation are quality, so just don't go to eat if you're in a hurry! The staff was calm and kind. My dining partner also got a margarita and appreciated that it wasn't super sweet. A relaxed meal before we got back on the road home to DC! read more

This quaint local hotspot is everything I've heard it is, and more. During our visit to St. Michael's Island, we visited Ginas twice. Although the establishment is very small and can be referred to as a "unassuming", it delivers in every way! The service is friendly and professional, the food is fresh and authentic, and the margaritas are perfectly made; authentic - in other words, they do not use any of that sugary mix that is so often used to make the popular drink. We ordered the house nachos and the Chumbucket. The nachos were outstanding. Fresh chips, fresh salsa, delicious hot chili, and hot bubbly cheese topped with guacamole and chipotle sour cream sauce. I would pass on the Chumbucket if I were to visit again. It was just "fair"; a lot of ingredients baked together and thrown in a bowl.... Overall our visit was a memorable one and we would return in a heartbeat. read more

My girlfriend and I went to this restaurant today and had a wonderful experience. Starting off our day in St. Michaels, it was hot and miserable and as we were walking through stores we realized that we needed some water. We took a venture into Gina's and asked for two cups of water in to go cups to take with us and were greeted by an amazing server who gave us our water free of charge (even after we offered to pay). To return the favor we came back for lunch and got nachos as well as a taco salad. The portions were so large that we had leftovers to take with us and the prices were very affordable! The food, atmosphere, and service was absolutely fantastic and I would gladly eat here again. read more

While enjoying a beer next store, we were drawn to Gina's covered patio which is decorated with charm. Lucky us, Gina's serves tacos! I love tacos. We ordered: *Corona. They had the pony beers so they gave hubs 2 which was lovely *Spicy marg. This was a little spicy and I'm 99% certain they make their own simple syrup because the marg was extremely smooth - but it tasted like they made the jalapeno simple syrup by boiling the jalapenos with the sugar and water. Boiled jalapeno isn't as good as fresh IMO - so my small suggestion would be to let the syrup steep when it's cooled down. Chips and guac: I wasn't a huge fan of the corn/flour hybrid chips but the lady the table over loved them, so to each their own. The guac was really good. Very fresh, my own critique is that there wasn't enough of it for the amount of chips we had Miami tacos: This shrimp taco was pretty good - the pineapple slaw like stuff actually served as a good salsa for our left over chips. I personally didn't like the cheese with seafood, so I peeled the cheese off and ate it with the chips Sesame tacos: These tuna tacos were FANTASTIC. Huge chunks of tuna - and the pickled ginger really sent home the fresh flavors Our server was extremely friendly and we had quick service. Great little spot. read more

I'm glad we asked some locals where to eat. As they said, "Sneeze and you'll miss it." This place is fantastic. Five of us showed up in the early afternoon and were seated almost immediately. Servers were friendly and helpful. Food was fantastic. Blue crab and shrimp tacos were the big hits, but the chum bucket and crab nacho appetizers were also delicious. We actually got our appetizers after the tacos and we barely could finish everything. I just can't believe how much crab meat there was in each taco! The staff was ready nice! Avocado Boat with Chili was a 5!!! Really awesome dish. We wanted the avocado crab but for some reason said that wasn't an option even though on the menu. The Light House Crab Taco was really well done the crab was awesome but unfortunately the flour tortilla was a miss, it was dry/cold, it didn't pair well with the awesome crab. Sadly the nachos were stale and the sangria was just OK so we had to give it a 3 overall. But I'd come again just for the avocado bowl. read more

Absolutely amazing food, along with delightful, friendly, and COVID-conscious service. We enjoyed the shore nachos and BBQ shrimp "dillas." Both were incredible. The nachos had the most amazing flakey, house-made chips and fresh crab piled high. It had just the right amount of heat (as a southern Californian, a little spice is always important). The bbq shrimp casadillas were messy, smokey, and wonderful. To drink, I got the house Gina Rita (basically a Cadillac margarita) and my fiancé had the Shameless Margarita. My Gina Rita was standard, without being too sweet. The Shameless was better: fresher with the right pop of lime. We're in town for only a couple days and we're planning on going back before we leave. Great eats. read more

We were on vacation in Saint Michaels and looking for a light, late night dinner. We saw that Gina's was open until 9 pm, and it was 8:23 when we arrived. They were having a slow night, and the door was locked, but Gina and her husband graciously let us in and catered to our every need and request. Our soups were excellent.
