The food was great and authentic. The service was slow. I understand that it was busy but we waited 40 minutes for our drinks. Eventually we found out the "ticket didn't print at the bar". Seems the bar need some assistance. The ambiance was also great although dark- it was cozy. I will definitely return.

"Not your average Mexican meal" I've ordered my fair share of yucca with pork. This one was on par with the best of them, and came with extras of a spicy pink cabbage topping and a sweet brown sauce. (Neither thrilled me, but hubby really liked the cabbage.) Hubby ordered empanadas. Both the empanadas and the spring onion vinaigrette that came with them were delicious! We thought it was... kind of cheap that our sit-down meal didn't come with chips and salsa. In hindsight, even without chips and salsa, hubby and I still didn't manage to finish both meals. We were very glad we didn't get chips!! Service was adequate. But I am really bothered that our drinks were never refilled, or at how long we had to wait for the check. When both people have finished eating and the to-go 3rd meal has been delivered, and we are just sitting here thirsty...... Anyway, a good find overall and prices within reason. If we were locals, we would probably come a few times per year.

I found La Bodega on Yelp when staying in Easton for a weekend getaway. It was easy to make a reservation and my table was ready when I arrived. Unfortunately, it was a high top. The chairs are really high and set up higher than the table, which was odd and uncomfortable, but the food and service were incredible and offset anything weird about the seating situation. Sequoia was our server and she was fantastic. I was perplexed by the pricing of dinner here because everything was way too inexpensive. When do you hear that these days? We started with the Uno, Dos, Tres appetizer of chips, salsa, guac, and refried beans for $12. Yummers! Entrees consisted of tacos and the Grilled Whole Fish which I had seen a beautiful photo of on Yelp. The fish was just as pictured and described. Delicious! Two tacos were only $6 each. The carne asada taco was very flavorful, but I wasn't too crazy about the chicken taco. The place was packed and energetic. It's not a large space so it's definitely cozy. Sequoia told us they also offer Sunday brunch and mentioned she would be working the following morning. We had no intention of returning for breakfast because we enjoy trying new places, but our experience at dinner had us back at brunch time on Sunday. Sequoia was our server again. Yay! We got a regular table this time which was much more comfortable. And entertaining because we watched about three different parties arrive, be seated at a nearby high top and request to be moved. La Bodega serves Rise Up coffee (I had wanted to try this in Easton) and it was really good. We were brought complimentary homemade muffins to start. Nice touch! A Sagrado Empanada, La Trinidad Taco, Huevos Rancheros, Refried Beans, Guacamole, and several cups of coffee later, we were satisfied and ready to road trip back home. We chatted with Sequoia a bit about the furnishings in the restaurant and were impressed with her knowledge about the hardwood and vendor. Who knows those things? Another surprise? Our total bill for breakfast was $36.68 (with tip). How does a restaurant survive on selling $5 empanadas, $6 tacos, $1 refried beans, and $4 coffee (unlimited refills)? I'm pretty sure it's because this place is doing everything right. From the service to the tasty food, La Bodega is a neighborhood gem.

What an amazing experience. I almost don't want to write a review because this place was so good and fresh. But alas the world must know that this is some of thr best food in Easton. The Eastern Shore needs everything they provide. Make a reservation because the space is romantic and on the small side. Try everything you can on the menu because the flavors are out of this world. The service and staff went out of their way to make room for me and my date ok in a busy night and even allowed us to sit in a reserved area when we arrived with no reservation. They should be commended for the efforts they put forth.

They don't have a menu but it's $1 off beers and $3 off certain drinks. Masa Mondays offers $3 off certain dishes including papusas and empanadas. I couldn't find empanadas on the menu. We ordered the mofongo based on the great reviews and wanting to try something different. We also got the Papusa, a hibiscus drink and a margarita. Overall the food was good. The mofongo is heavy - so it's best eaten shared with something on the lighter side. The Mofongo comes with a topping of beef or shrimp. Our waiter didn't ask our preference so I thought maybe it comes with both. Later we heard another waiter ask the customer if they wanted beef or shrimp. We were given beef and that was fine but it would have been nice to have a choice! The disappointment came in the service. The waiter was unaware of happy hour or the Masa Monday discount. We asked about Happy Hour on arrival. Upon receiving the bill we had to ask for an adjustment. Then the bill came back and the Papusa (a $10 dish) was charged at $12 with a $3 discount. At this point I was tired of asking so we just let it go. To the owners - don't advertise discounts and then try to avoid them or not train your staff about them. Will not come back for that reason. I felt it was false advertising. Puts all the work on the customer to follow up.

This place never disappoints…read more I've been here multiple times -- with family, on dates, and with friends -- and it's always a great experience. This most recent visit was with a friend who was trying it for the first time, and he loved it. The food was delicious as always. He had the arroz con pollo (which I recommended), and I had the camarones al ajillo -- shrimp in garlic sauce with rice, salad, and plantains. Everything was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The bartenders were so pleasant and attentive. We sat at the bar, and even though it was crowded (which it usually is -- a good sign!), the service was still great. Now let's talk about the drinks because they were the real stars:    *   My friend had three mango margaritas and couldn't stop talking about how good they were.    *   I tried the cucumber jalapeño margarita -- you could literally smell the fresh cucumber as they made it. It did not hold back on the jalapeño! It had a real kick, but the flavor was amazing.    *   And the mojitos? Delicious. They use real sugarcane, and you can taste the freshness. Great vibes, great service, consistently amazing food and drinks. I will absolutely keep coming back and always recommend this place.

We were the last to leave but they didn't rush us or standing nearby like we were an issue or anything. Made me feel good, respected and appreciated.
