Shrimp Enchiladas
Ronnie T.

Hello everyone! So I was craving some enchiladas and stumbled upon this place before heading to downtown Cambridge, MD. I was greeted and seated immediately. The environment of the restaurant is relaxed, and reminds you of Mexico. I can attest after having been there myself. Salsa and chips were immediately brought to the table and this is always a plus in my opinion! Cheese sauce (queso blanco) was also included and it was absolutely delicious! The salsa and chips were bountiful, and helped curb my appetite. I ordered the shrimp enchiladas and they were delicious and authentic! The texture was perfect, and they had a lot of flavor! To be fairly honest, the enchiladas melted in my mouth with each and every bite! I doused some hot sauce over them and it gave them a nice spice kick! The service was good, but I would recommend to the young waiter I had to pick up the dishes when they have been finished with . After I finished the tortilla chips, the container and sauce dishes were left on the table throughout my entire meal. It is minor, but also key. Please check this place out. Cheers to good eats!

My husband & I went here a few months ago. I forgot to leave a review til I came across the pictures I took. Food was absolutely amazing, seasoned food. Friendly service and clean environment. 100% will be going back soon.

Burrito

I'm evaluating this restaurant after watching Man vs. Food and craving a burrito. I came at noon on a Saturday and the place is pretty empty. The service is super super slow and actually already frustrating me, but they are super super nice so all is good. The chips are fresh and hot with nice salsa's. But now I'm thirsty and still have no water or my drink...... yes finally it arrived. The burrito I ordered is super fresh and outstanding. The staff are super nice. I take back what I said about the speed

Veggie Bean Burrito and Chalupas.

We were staying at the Grand Hyatt at the Chesapeake for the weekend and found this restaurant for lunch. It seems like it is family owned and were very friendly. As a vegetarian, I was happy to see a large section in the menu specific to vegetarian options. The chips and salsa were yummy. Here is what we ordered: - Guacamole- very flavorful and well made. - Platter with one bean burrito and two chalupas- The bean burrito just has beans and usually comes with a cheesy sauce. I asked them to replace the cheese with house made burrito sauce. It was delicious. I loved the bean burrito. However, the chalupa was mediocre. It was just a fried tortilla with lettuce, tomatoes, beans, and sour cream. It didn't have much of a flavor and I just left it. I would recommend just getting the bean burrito. Overall, it's a decent Mexican restaurant with tons of options. The food is average but I'll still recommend trying it out.

Shrimp enchiladas, red salsa, white sauce, chips and horchata. All for about $19 and lasted 2 meals!

When I was researching restaurants to try out on my vacation to Cambridge, I bookmarked this one first as it looked awesome! I had a hard time placing my pickup order on the phone because the website online ordering site had different prices than the restaurant's menu (by about $1 per dish) so that's something to be aware of. Based on other rave reviews, I ordered the shrimp enchiladas and left with a little sticker shock as I paid $19 for that dish plus an horchata. But when I came home and saw the food, I was shocked--the portions were enormous!! The enchiladas easily lasted me 2 meals and was very filling, so it was a good value. The restaurant doesn't have it on their website, but they do have a lunch menu with some good dishes for the value. When I go back I look forward to trying those out. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant itself looked really festive and colorful. When COVID is more under control, I look forward to dining in person!

When I go to any Ethnic eatery I want Authentic food. So many seem to Americanize it. Not a knock on the eatery, it's just not for me.

Dynamite enchiladas and Horchata. The chips and sauce don't hurt either. If you want Mexican in this area, this is a good option.

Service is always prompt, they greet you as soon as you walk in…read more Food is good. Chips and salsa and a spiced sour cream dip. They have specials on a board as you walk in.

I'm sorry. I really want them to do well and succeed but hear me out: CONS: We ordered beef nachos…read more Completely unseasoned beef, and tons of lettuce, so much that the wet lettuce made the chips soggy in a matter of minutes. Secondly, you couldn't see the cheese. Also, the tomatoes they put on the nacho was just ONE SLICE of a tomato, not cut up tomatoes, but a single slice of a tomato. When you order nachos you expect a lot of cheese and the thrill of a pull and seeing cheese. No salsa on it, no onions, nothing; just cheap cheese and ground beef. Absolutely disappointing. The enchiladas I had had a sauce that you can absolutely tell came from a can. I'm sorry, I really am. But how can nachos be disappointing? At least put them onto the oven and broil them so the chips are crunchy. I hope they succeed, I really do. But IVE NEVER not finished enchiladas or nachos; I had to stop eating them. PRO: the atmosphere is good and staff were VERY friendly. But please, please, the food was not good. I hope they learn to make nachos better and improve their sauce and enchiladas. I definitely looked like it was microwaved. I wish them luck, truly.
