Excellent authentic Mexican food and decently priced for the area. I will eat here again.

On the drive back from Assateague Island, my girlfriend spotted this gem along the highway. We decided to stop in, and I'm glad we did. The chips and salsa were some of the best I've ever had--fresh, flavorful, and the perfect start to our meal. I went with the classic arroz con pollo topped with authentic queso (yes, they drizzle it right on top), while my girlfriend enjoyed the carne asada with vegetables. Generous portions, delicious flavors, and two very satisfied customers!

This is one of the last stops for food before you get to the Bridge, and my fiancée and I stopped in to wait out a massive storm that was clogging up traffic. We were glad we did. There were only a couple of people in due to the rain, but the inside was brightly colored and well decorated. I saw posters for a lot of events, including a karaoke night we only missed by one night and I could see this place being super fun and loud with a packed crowd. The food is reasonably priced, the menu is large with lots of options, and they offer a range of beer and cocktails. The service was great, everyone was really friendly and helpful, and the servers were very attentive. Our food also came out very quickly and very hot, which was awesome! We started with margaritas, which were classic and refreshing. We also ordered the queso fundido, which was suggested by another Yelper as their favorite to split with their partner, so I wanted to try it. I honestly didn't love it, the queso was grainy and not hot when it came out, and it was soupy. The flavor was there, but not the consistency. Maybe we ordered it on a bad day, but I would not recommend based on my experience. The three enchiladas combo was fantastic. Each one was piping hot and loaded with flavor (and cheese). The beans and rice were great, also, and I love shredded lettuce with mine! The carne asada was also good, it comes with a side of tortillas to make your own. This place was great for the price and I think we'll make it a regular stop on our way from Ocean City!

chips & salsa (the white salsa was cold & disgusting)

No bueno! Soooooo....I love love love hispanic food, well all food! I am a foodie BUT hispanic food is in my top 3. I am picky so it can be a challenge. I am not a rice and beans kinda gal but I know what I do like. I prefer restaurants with limited English - authentic!! This place was small so I decided to try it out. Right off, I wasn't impressed... Service was no bueno - They kept saying ma'am but it seemed rehearsed not authentic. I didn't feel welcome. One person took my order but never came back til I was ready to pay. Two different people brought the food out at two different times. I had to request a refill. The food tasted, well bad. My food at home is more authentic. The chips were not warm or even handmade. The flautas/taquitos were made with shredded chicken (and they weren't very crispy). The sopapillas were thin and crunchy like chips. The whip cream was more like icing (birthday cake icing). The taco beef tasted more like whatever fillers they used. I paid $20 for my food : $2.75 taco $7.85 (two flautas/taquitos) - regular order is $9.00 (4) so why it was this much for two is beyond me! $3.00 sopapilla $3.95 for side of queso $3.00 drink *A little excessive if you ask me. one taco/two flautas is a combination plate anywhere else** Save your money, visit taco bell two blocks down. This place is not authentic anyway. NOTE: check the pics to see the man I thought was staring at me the whole time....LOL (it was a advertisement....LMAO)

Plaza Jalisco is our go-to for Mexican. This place can get pretty packed and the staff does their best at zipping around the restaurant during crazy times, to take care of everyone. Large indoor table and booth seating can accommodate normal and large parties. The parking lot has front & side parking which has rarely been an issue for finding parking. As usual the chips and salsa keep rolling in like waves of the ocean. If you like soda, try the Jarritos which are made from cane sugar and not that garbage American soda (yes, I said it). All-in-all Plaza Jalisco is a pleasant environment with great tasting food and friendly staff

Pollo Asado #129

Food was excellent. I asked for one of the bestsellers and was served Pollo Asado. The pico de gallo that came with the Pollo Asado meal was so good, so I asked for a little extra on the side; highly recommend you do the same. Went on a Wednesday evening, restaurant was about half full. Good ambiance, background music not too loud, heard a birthday song, saw multiple families with kids. Good times, I will come back.

So good. Chicken fajita salad bowl.

I had the shrimp tacos & my husband tried the flounder tacos & fries. Both were delicious! I ordered a house margarita & he ordered an old fashioned. Neither skimped on the alcohol. For dessert we tried the crème brûlée cheesecake, yum!! Nice, clean restaurant, the staff was very friendly & efficient. We will definitely put Tiger Lily on our regular rotation.

It's a colorful dish but don't be fooled. Doesn't taste as good as it looks. The "Peruvian style" saltado dish was not Peruvian style. Literally google what a Peruvian-Style Saltado dish should look like and you will be appalled. Taste wasn't horrible but it was just all gravy! This dish should be called locomoco gravy or something but not saltado. Also not worth the price. 8 shrimps in gravy? Sorry absolutely not worth $23. Tacos were the least criminally offensive thing ordered but even those weren't great. Overall, I had higher hopes for this Asian fusion restaurant but left feeling pretty disappointed with my experience.

I will preface the negatives by saying that the food was pretty much on par and what was expected…read more Tasty and fresh. Staff - bad! Panera corporate...please send some trainers to this location and get better management. Who is running this place? Apparently no one. Horribly trained staff, maybe understaffed, no managers in sight, nobody keeping up with cleanup, no toilet paper. Please understand, the toilet paper dispensers in this Panera hold 2 gigantic rolls of toilet paper. The kind that last a long long long time. The opening manager should always be checking the bathrooms before opening. If this is not being done, please get new managers. Clearly if you see that one side of your giant toilet paper roll dispenser is empty, you need to put a new one in the empty side so that when the side in use runs out, the guest has access to the brand new roll. If you have toilet paper dispensers like this in your store there is absolutely no reason a guest should ever be left without toilet paper. Don't respond to this post with the excuse that your delivery didn't come in. Send someone to the grocery store or convenience store and buy a pack of toilet paper and put some in each stall. Second bathroom issue - trash can overflowing! Not full....overflowing! Back to the beginning. Only one cashier, long line. Finally, second cashier jumped on. I am very familiar with Panera and its menu and the way it operates. I know there always is a white binder that lists all ingredients and all allergens. We approached the cashier with a couple questions about ingredients in a salad we had never had before and we asked to see the binder. She acted like she didn't even hear us and just went on to read us the ingredients from the POS screen. One of the ingredients is Sofrito. We did not know what that was. We asked her what Sofrito is. She did not know. I asked her if I could see the binder again and she went over and got a paper menu and again read the ingredients, exactly what she had already read us from the POS. I said but what is Sofrito?? Again she said she did not know. I said, can you ask a manager because its an allergy issue. She said NO! She could not ask a manager because they were too busy. I said, you need to go ask a manager because this is an allergy issue and if you are not going to let me see the binder, which I had never encountered before, you better ask the manager. I am quite sure the manager does not want an allergy issue on their hands. So she went into the back - during a very busy time! Why wasn't the manager in the front of the house during such a busy time with trash cans overflowing, toilet paper empty and employees who have not passed their menu test? She returned and still did not have an answer. What??!! The manager didn't know, or this cashier/employee is clueless. So we did what we should have done in the first place. We asked Google! FYI, simply put, its salsa! After all this craziness, and ps not being charged for our drinks, because....you know...incompetence, our food came up and we realize she had never asked if we wanted chips, apple, or bread and both of our lunches came with bread. I had a sandwich and the last thing I wanted was another piece of bread! We sat outside on the delightful patio. Plenty choices of shade or sun. There is a door out to the patio on the side of the restaurant where you pick up your food and get your drinks. And oh, by the way, that's the side of the restaurant where the bathroom is. But guess what? You can't come back in through that door. So if you would like a refill on your drink, or would like to use the bathroom, you are SOL! You have to walk all the way back around to the front door and then go all the way back to where you just were to use the bathroom and refill your drink. So lunch was an adventure and we're ready to cleanup and leave. The area where you can leave your dishes and silverware was stacked high. Dishes were precariously perched. Clearly understaffed or management not making the rounds, touching tables, looking in the bathrooms, checking the outside trash cans, etc. So will we return? Probably. It's convenient. It's predictable food. Do I recommend? If you are familiar with Panera and you don't have any questions or expect too much cleanliness then its a good stopping point between OC, MD and Baltimore or DC. In conclusion, Panera corporate, get some people out here right away to look at this location and please send some trainers out. Local Managers at this location, Training, training, training!!! Your cashiers need to know about the binder and absolutely need to know their menu items. If you are not giving a menu test to all of your employees, you need to rethink your training process. Also, you need to teach your team how to interact with guests and if they are unhappy at their jobs, at least put on a happy face for the guests. Good Luck!

I've visited this location several times and realized I never reviewed it. It's pretty standard as…read morefar as Panera in general. The menu is pretty much identical to any other. The service has always been pretty good for me whenever I've come here. The place is clean and well-lit.
