Great stop on the way to Ocean City or on the way back. Stop here! Staff was very friendly and recommended some dishes. Everything was wonderful. You can take out or eat in. We ate in. Very casual and roomy. Clean too. They have two dining areas. Many locals eat here and you should too. We will be back! P.S. Have to mention that the ladies room was very clean. read more

This is a great Mexican restaurant. Certainly the best I've had on Maryland's Eastern Shore, and some of the best I've had anywhere. Ingredients are fresh; their home-made hot sauce options are superb; portions are huge and reasonably priced. I usually take half home for the next day. No liquor license, so byob or choose from the Mexican soft drinks. Set in an unassuming spot next to a gas station off of Race Street about a mile from downtown Cambridge. First off it wasn't busy and my order still took over $25 mins and all I ordered were 3 birria tacos and some rice and beans. Then after I paid the guy he immediately put my change on the counter which I find rude. And everything was bland, no taste or seasoning. There was such a small amount of cheese on my tacos I thought there wasn't any, and the tortillas weren't dipped in the consomme and fried like usual birria tacos. Overall I give the whole experience a 3/10 and I won't be back! I understand why there were so many tables and no one sitting at them, the vibes were all wrong. read more

Hands down best tacos in town. This place is a hidden gem. What we ordered: -delicious and authentic beef, pork, and shrimp tacos: the meat was seasoned so well and the corn tortillas were perfect -massive and amazing burrito: great flavors and we took half home - for apps: fantastic nachos and realllly good tacos dorados - both super crispy and flavorful. They also have really good juices and flan. I loved the jamaica and tamarindo juices! They have another location near Annapolis and people go crazy over how good it is - this one is just as great. We arrived a little later. The guy upfront didn't even turn around to greet us. Someone from the back told him we walked in after we were waiting for a few minutes. When he did turn around he shoved 2 Menus at us and said "sit where you like". We had to get our own drinks. Which is no problem except they weren't labeled. I turned to clarify the unlabeled flavors and again the guy was checked out, on his phone. So I waited about 20 seconds and just took a chance. Finally we order, and my husband had a question about the meat choices and the guy seemed kind of sarcastic. And asked "well what do you want?" So we get the food and it looked good, I wanted to love it. But to be honest, It was a burrito (rice beans meat spice yum,right?) no it was under cooked rice. Like eating chalky bits, the beans were also under cooked. And the pork in the supper salty red sauce was so dry. It was inedible. Everything was just very salty. The restaurant its self could use a good clean. I think 2 stars is generous. I'm not a fan. read more

Great food for better price. We're visiting from NYC and this is by far better than anything in NYC (low bar, sure, but notwithstanding). I got four tacos, which in hindsight, I should have gotten three. They are filling because they are filled. Service was quick and, while you may wait a wee bit longer than an unreasonable expectation, I'm assuming because the food came out piping hot and is made to order. They even have some flavorful homemade spices to try. One of those gems that makes you wonder why it was established here and what's the backstory. Very good. read more

The best tacos anywhere around here. They are also the only real tacos here. Great sauces. Great people. Absolutely delicious! We ordered a variety and left it up to them to give us whatever. OMG this is the real deal. Delicious fresh homecooked classic Mexican food. Only one year old, this family owned restaurant was recommended by a local friend who goes there 3 times a week. Nothing fancy in decor, but a wide menu. The Camarones a la Mexicana were amazing - tender shrimp, delicious sauce w tomatoes onion and garlic. 2 miles from the Hyatt Regency resort and Walmart. La verdad como mexicana en busca de una taqueria buena y auténtica me lleve una gran decepción. En verdad no se encuentran aquí taquerías. Y al ver que se abrió una cerca me emocione. Para empezar las tortillas son de tienda y aparte de frías tiesas. Las carne asada fries no tenían de sabor. La carne no tenia nada de grasita y las papas nada de sal. Los tacos de lengua estaban bien frías y sin sabor. Y en el refrigerador donde están las bebidas supuestamente había horchata.... El polvo estaba hasta abajo y la agua bien clara. Don't read this review, because I don't want the word getting out how good the food is at this place. When I ordered, I figured the traditional plate would come out. No way! My serving had 3 enchiladas...one beef, one pulled pork, and one chicken...rice, and beans. I began with the rice which had an authentic taste, with just the right amount of spice. As for the beans, they were the black beans. My favorite. And the enchiladas, the pork, beef, and chicken, they were cooked to perfection and the meats were tender and juicy. Everything was homemade which explains the unique taste. My friend had the burrito mojado with beef and pork, which was like a big burrito. Again, it nearly covered the whole plate. As with my enchiladas, there was so much food we brought the rest home and had it the next day. We weren't going to pass up an encore of such good food. And speaking of the next day, I made a special stop for one item...the street corn. However, don't tell my friend. Otherwise, I'll get in trouble for not buying two! As for the service, again, first rate. I like it when the wait person takes your order with a smile and looks you in the eye. Bottom line: great service and great food. But don't tell anyone. Fantastic! Best Mexican food I've ever had in Cambridge, and probably the best on the Shore. I had the chicken quesadilla and the fajitas, and you can tell they use high quality ingredients. Delicious to the last bite. Love the fresh juices & horchata in the fridge. Next time I will go hungrier so I can enjoy more.
